The doctor and the staff are really friendly but I hate the fact that they can’t insure you quality service satisfaction. I was not happy with my glasses when it arrived. I did mentioned this to their staff but I was only informed they couldn’t do anything about since it was already ordered with my prescription. It wasn’t the quality frame I was expecting and for the price I paid for. They just told me couldn’t do anything about it. I do not want to come back here again.
I’m never the one to write reviews but in this case I am beyond frustrated and feeling like my business means absolutely nothing. Let me start off by saying Yvonne the optician ordered my glasses over a month ago. At first she sent them someone else’s frame than sent my frames to the completely wrong lab in which she did not tell me instead avoided me I had to keep calling getting the voicemail until finally someone else told me what was going on. When I called to address Yvonne about putting a rush on my glasses she was rude, short and wouldn’t apologize for the mistakes she made or how she inconvenienced my time and money. I will never use this place again and Dr. Huff and staff need to get a new optician Yvonne is unprofessional and flat out incompetent she does not know how to do her job or be professional. Do not go here she will do the same to you.
Fantastic customer service . I have been going here for years and Ive always had positive experiences with them. From the front desk, to the doctor, to the tech helping me find my new glasses this is just an awesome operation. Highly recommend coming to see them.
Best service ever
Very pleased with service and my new glasses. Perfect fit!
Talk about unprofessionalism! This place has really gone down hill. Yvonne helped me order a pair of glasses my last visit. However she never ordered them or asked anyone else to order them so after waiting a month thinking my glasses were on the way I find out they had never been ordered she was out of the office conveniently for the whole month I was calling then when I needed to speak to a manager she somehow reappeared and was rude and distasteful! I really like Dr Huff he’s amazing but his manager Yvonne is lazy and unprofessional!!!
Great office professionalism from all staff. Love the location. Good glasses selection.
I have been going to Northern Lights Eye care for years now and the team is always kind, thoughtful, and caring. Dr. Huff is informative, spends time answering questions and is understanding of patients care and truly is wonderful.
Been a customer for 10 years+ and my only issue in the past was the wait time which has improved tremendously during my visit a month ago. Staff are friendly and professional. Dr. Huff is caring and very knowledgeable (from your eye health to your insurance benefits). My order for a pair of prescription glasses took about 2 weeks and ordering contacts is super easy, especially with their new online ordering system, took less than a week to deliver.Overall, excellent customer service! Thank you Dr. Huff and staff!!!
If I could rate this zero starts I absolutely would. Worst professional service I have ever experienced anywhere. They were supposed to bill insurance but instead billed me, without even checking with me before fulfilling the order to see if I still wanted it considering the insurance would not be covering what I had anticipated. Worked at making payments however they sent me to collections immediately instead of working with me. I will NEVER use their services again. I am so disgusted by their lack of willingness to work with their customers that I decided to write this review and I have never written a review before. BEWARE!
I have been wearing my glasses for the past year because I ran out of contacts... and COVID... blah blah. I was nervous to go I but it was a smooth (very clean 😊) experience. Every person, from the front desk to the technician to the doctor, was kind and explained clearly what they were doing (including billing my insurance). Thank you!
I love this clinic and the doctors there! They are very thorough and thoughtful. They have always been very wonderful with my exams and also all of my eyeball needs. BTW, dont use Visine. They will tell you why.
Made an appointment quickly and was able to be seen same week. Staff was very professional and very helpful. Strict COVID protocols made me feel safe and overall very happy with my choice to come here.
PJ is great. Super nice, professional, and friendly. Shes the reason Im giving 5 stars and if I could Id give her 10.
First impression count. I was not impressed. I called multiple times to schedule an appointment for my son. No one answered, so I finally left a message after my 3rd calls. 2 hours later no one called back. So I called again. I was immediately placed on hold for 9:32 secs. I hung up, they just lost me as potential customer for poor time management and ineffective communication.
Tried to make an appointment for three weeks no call back no answer when I call during business hours, they must be busy 🤷🏽♂️. Ended up going to wolf eye center in Wasilla, but we love road trips so thats cool 😎 👍🏽
Dr Huff discovered that my vision problems were due to cataracts. Following surgery and the excellent care from everyone at Northern Lights, I am seeing much, much better!
There good nice caring place i liked my treatment with them and cant wait 4 my glasses thank u.....
I found the staff and Dr. Huff to be competent, kind and helpful. I am very happy to have started my eye care with Northern Lights Eye Care.
Dr. Huff was awesome with my 3 year old daughter. My appointment was fast as well.
Very good customer service.
Had a very warming experience with the whole staff there. Great customer service!
THEY ARE GREAT I LOVE GOING THERE
The staff was very friendly and professional, I have been going to them forall my eye care for many years.
I was able to get in same day, the staff is always helpful and friendly, and lots of great frames in stock!
If I could give 0 stars I would. I was not pleased with their customer service and poor experience with insurance eligibility.Thank you for your response. I sent an email, explaining as what happened.
Northern lights eye care is absolutely wonderful. My husbands and I give 10 Stars!!! They are very courtious, efficient, professional and caring 🤗. They care very much for our eye sight its unbelievable how fast they got our vision corrected. THANK YOU NORTHERN LIGHTS EYE CARE.
Staff were professional and courteous.
Extremely polite and friendly staff. Comfortable atmosphere. Knowledgeable and straightforward doctor, very personable.
All staff was masked and I felt well taken care of. Dr. Huff explained my vision issues well and helped me with my anxiety of changing vision.
The clinic becomes aware of you as soon as you come through the door. They show kindness and concern not only about the reason you are there but even about your day. The ladies at the front desk have a smile that will brighten your day day all the way through the exam and the Dr. she is a joy. Kindness shown in her step by step explanation of every move she make until she wishes you a good day
Everything was great, reception was wonderful and friendly, dr. explained everything and was very pleasant. Unfortunately the fitting expert was about as friendly as a wet sponge!
A helpful and friendly staff. The front desk and eye glass sales staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Both Dr.;s are patient and take time with questions and eye prescriptions, insuring a correct vision experience.
Great staff! They are always courteous, friendly and professional. Ive been using them for about 4 years now, and they have never failed to provide excellent service!
Dr Huff was concerned for my eye health and very helpful in developing methods to improve the health of my eyes. Evon was excellent at helping me choose the right type of frames and lenses for my needs.
Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I like that they carry different brands of high quality glasses that you dont find often at other places.
Very satisfied, professionally done, Dr Huff is a true professional in his field
They were very nice, they answered all of my questions, Dr. Huff was very kind and the whole staff were professional
Been comming to Northern lights for years .My family has too .Dr. Huff is a caring, Doctor going to office feels like a visiting a family member .the office is well stocked with large selection of frames to choose from. Wear a mask when entering .wait time with appt.was fast and safe .when someone says love your glasses I say check out Northern lights eye care.👍
I have used Northern Lights eye care for over 20 years. Never felt the need to try somebody else because the customer service is great. And the doctors there are second to none. I dont believe anybody would be disappointed if they visited Northern Lights Eye Care.
Wish I could give them zero stars. They are so expensive, I had an exam there and for my glasses they were 3x costco and my contacts 2x the price at costco. Then when I didnt get my contacts from them they still charged me and sent me to collections for contacts I never got!! Run, run fast before they send you to debt colletions for getting a quote on contacts.
Always great service a thorough exam and many styles and brands of eyewear to chose from they are very helpfull and provide excellent customer service.
I had a great experience. People on the phone, at the front desk, the techs, the doctor--all were very friendly and pleasant and polite. I got there on time and had a bit of a wait for my appointment, but that time was well spent as one of the employees helped me pick out my new frames and got all the paperwork done before my eye exam. Prices were about what I expected. Altogether it was pleasant, quick, and I had no problems whatsoever.
Dr. Huff and his staff were welcoming, professional and knowledgeable.
My appointment was set on the same day (Saturday) and I was seen without delay. Everybody was professional and friendly and took the time to evaluate me. They have the widest selection of Maui Jim eye/sunglasses. They can also fit you for ski goggles. My experience was relaxing and my privacy valued. I highly recommend this place. Know that they’re one of the few open on Saturdays. And they’re having a grand sale.Addendum. A Wasilla wind blew my Maui Jims off my chest and dragged them on the pavement scratching the lenses this winter 2020. The cost of the lenses is about $600 while the frame is $400. I got them replaced for free. Maui Jim has the best warranty. You get a complete replacement for a year from the time of purchase for scratches.
I have been pleased and endorse the care and time spent by Dr. Huff and office staff . Professional treatment with friendly and welcoming service.
Great place and friendly staff. Dr. Huff was very helpful and patient with my son who was getting contacts for the first time.
Everyone is always friendly and nice there. I have never had a better eye exam anywhere else they make sure everything is going good with your eyes. Give out samples to try. 100 % satisfied.
Absolutely loved the frame show. The customer service was above 5 stars. Erin is the best to work with. She was honest, dedicated, and very knowledgeable of the products. Thank you for a great experience. Will definitely be returning and referring!
If I could give a half a star I would... maybe a quarter star. Bed side manner was rude. My wife called up later for her prescription and they were not going to give it to her. Rather than sending us a bill, they sent us to a collection agency. Maybe when my wife called for her prescription it might have been a good time to tell us then that we owed money?
Great experience! Really enjoyed Dr. Huff and his staff/team. Thank you Northern Lights Eye Care.
Minus the wait in between patients, I had nothing but good things to say about the level of care Dr. Huff provided. My prescription is a little weak on the contacts, but thats why Im going through a little trial and error. Huge thanks to the Northern Lights Eye Care staff for taking care of me since I was way way younger, up until the present day. You wont be disappointed.
The staff and doctor where amazing good communication the only bad thing was the loooonnnggg wait times. We got there at 1:15pm for a 130p appointment and finally saw the doctor at 2:55pm Had to leave room and check to see how much longer or I was leaving. If your running behind please advise upon check in that would have been fine if I was advised ahead of time to arrange the rest of my day and appointments.
Helpful and caring
On Sept 4, 2019 I went here for an Eye exam and ordered a pair of glasses I needed replacement glasses because mine are damaged badly. So they told me since I had an eye exam I could get a discount I said wow thanks so I placed a order. After I paid and was getting my invoice the lady said two weeks and youll have them I said really that long and she said yes. So I said is there anyway we can expedite them and she said there is but we dont guarantee it if you do. That really makes no sense to me but ok. So I called after a week and asked if they could track them and see if they would come early. The lady said I cant do that but my manager can and hes not in at the moment Ill call you first thing in the morning and let you know well by 1:00pm the next day still no call so I called and was told the manager is actually off today. I lost hope after that. So she told me to come in on the 18th around 11am or 12pm. I did that and was told theyre are not in yet and that they get there shipments in at 3:00pm. So why did the lady tell me to come in then? No straight answer from the lady and she gave me an attitude about it. She said Ill call you regardless if they come in today or not. So at 5:00pm I call them back and the lady says I called you and left a message that the glasses are in. I had no calls or messages and I verified that they had the correct number they did. So the next morning I go in and get my glasses and see that they are damaged and ask if they can fix them she goes in the back and comes back out and says theyre discounted glasses and theyre basically the cheap ones and Im out of luck. Really you sold me defective glasses. So I want them fixed and she says that they cant do anything about it. Im stunned by her answer so I asked for a manager she says he will call me. I leave and she calls me and leaves a message that the manager is out today and to call back and leave a message for him. Ill wait to speak to him Im not leaving a message that wont be returned. So after that I get a recorded that says my glasses are in. Really. All this for some glasses is insanity. Avoid this place like the plague. How do you run a business like this?
Excellent experience. Dr. Kettler and the assistants and staff made this a professional and pleasant experience for myself and my 11 year old son. The Glaucoma test and the eye dilation are always tricky for kids. These were handled with humor and scientific explanation. A great one-stop-shop for yearly eye care.
Very professional staff I really enjoyed my experience. I highly recommend Northern Lights Eye Care! Make sure you request Dr. Kettler she is awesome. The tech Michael also made me laugh and I enjoyed his track and field stories; it felt like we were old friends!
This business does an excellent job. The Staff is very professional and caring. It is obvious to me that Northern Lights Eye Care strives for a primary goal of Quality and Customer Satisfaction. They are very courteous, caring and professional in every way!
Great customer service checking in and checking out, the entire staff is great ! Dr. Huff is amazing and he makes great suggestions and keeps you in the loop of promotions going on for what you’re looking for. They have contact lenses in the office, so I didn’t have to wait to get them which was a plus.
The staff were phenomenal! Attentive to my fiance and Is needs and answered all our questions. The staff were also very knowledgeable and made the process an enjoyable endeavor. Would recommend this place to anyone, Dr. Keller is great and explains everything thoroughly.
I will not use this office again. I was traveling abroad and called to order a replacement set of sunglasses since mine broke. They told me I could, but since my prescription was a little over a year old, and I would need to come in, when I returned to Alaska, for another eye exam. No problem. I agreed. Gave them my credit card number and doubled checked they had my email for communication. I agreed to pay for shipping. All good. Said it would ship in a week. Six weeks later (still overseas), I called to find out the status. They couldnt find an order, then put me on hold for 4 minutes, then came back to say they didnt get a correct security code on my cc, so didnt complete the order. A simple email or call to my AK phone could have solved this. They were not apologetic and asked for my security code to get the order started (6 weeks later). No thanks.
My provider explained what she was doing every step of the way and very helpful with the cost of glasses and contacts and they competed with other business to beat their price overall great service
Great care and accurate for me and the wife.
Excellent service. When you have an appointment, theres no wait time. They accept Care Credit. The doctors are nice as well.
The entire staff, from front desk to doc to the fitting of my glasses were friendly and professional. Highly recommend.
VERY POOR!How a simple broken screw forces me to have to buy new glass and frames! When I first brought them in, to get the screw replaced the optometrist typed the serial number on the frames and said “Oh these are - so new -, we don’t have a tool to extract the broken screw still in place. Good news they’re under warranty though, so we’ll get new ones for you in two weeks.” While I felt like two weeks was too long to be on my old prescription, but I have no other options.A call two weeks later to what seems avoidance. I had to make 3 calls, leave 2 messages over 3 days to speak to the optometrist. Finally getting through, it was one excuse after another, never a consistent story with each call. As of this review - Its now 3 weeks and I still don’t have frames! As it turns out - My “so new frames” are actually only “new” to Northern Lights Eye Care, but have in-fact been discontinued!!! And it will be another 2-3 weeks for a replacement pair. Or as the optometrist said today “That’s what the rep is saying”, but he couldn’t give me a solid. Here’s the problem:1.) Day 1, When I come in for a repair and it’s determined a customer needs a replacement, call the manufacturer to assure it’s still available.2.) Warehouses are on databases, they know what they have in stock.3.) At 2 weeks if there is an issue, call the customer, or show them some respect when they call.4.) If you dropped the ball in more ways than one, do right by the customer.I paid over thousand dollars cash for my visit, unfortunately you have lost me as a customer. I read the reviews below, Im clearly not alone.
Awsome.
Meh. Nice frames, high prices, average service. Never anyone in the lab to take my calls, front desk staff only reluctantly helpful. I got the glasses I wanted, but I has to stand firm in the face of a LOT of up-selling. Probably wont go back.
Nice staff and makes u feel very comfortable. Recommend to anyone. Im from Tennessee been her 1 month and 7 days and never seen a more professional staff..
I was seen almost right away as a walk in.They took very good care of me.Will definitely be returning. And recommending.
I’ve gone to these guys for several years. I All ways feel like I’m getting raped on the cost of glasses and contacts. Paid for a new prescription for glasses. Took 6 weeks to get my new glasses. the office never contacted me I called and got a voicemail but no one ever called back. Finally got a hold of the office and find out my glasses had been there. The lady at the desk was less than friendly when I finally picked up my glasses. The last 2 prescriptions never felt like they could get my right eye without being blurry even after get used to the prescription.Time to find a new optometrist
I was truly grateful that Dr. Huff and his staff were able to fit me in on a last minute appointment. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Thank you!
All the services, professional and caring staff and an excellent selection of eye glass frames. Perfect!
I see a lot of people complaining about the wait time but from experience let me help you understand a little better why you wait a little longer, Dr.Huff is very good at his job. He takes his time with his patients assuring he as well as the patients are receiving the most accurate and thorough exam possible. He was amazing with my child in every way. He made sure to tell him everything he was doing first, made sure he was comfortable and helped him get the right pair of glasses he needed to help him see better. I am very happy we chose norther lights eyecare the staff was very friendly & welcoming to us when we first arrrived and got us all checked in we had a awesome experience for my sons fisrt time. Thank you norther lights eyecare.
The Dr and staff were great, the only complaint I have is the way they have the Medicaid glasses presented. They were thrown in a wooden box, dirty and messed up. My daughter and I felt less than dignified and somewhat embarrassed. I know the frames are limited but leave us with dignity!!! My daughter was excited to get glasses until that happened. I felt ashamed and terrible having to tell her no honey, you cant pick off the wall because were poor. That just killed me!
U received friendly, courteous service and a good eye exam. My only wish is that you carried more Flexon - type glasses, especially the fully flexiblle hinges like the childrens sizes have, in larger sizes for women.. My teenage grandson has them and he is much bigger than I am.
Ive had a few negative experiences at Northern Lights Eye Care, but my last visit takes the cake. I called in advance and asked if I could bring my baby (I could) and provided my insurance information (twice to ensure they were prepared and ready). I got there a few minutes early and waited 45 minutes to see the Doctor! I was the first patients of the day- they claimed they needed to pull up my insurance information before I saw the doctor- yet this had ALL been confirmed on the phone in advance. And mind you the whole time they saw that my primary insurance had VSP coverage they were only confused about my secondary. I asked to see the doctor while they looked it up as Id worked hard to time the babies feedings just for the appointment, but they refused. It may be the doctor wasnt there because when I was finally brought back to an exam room after over 30 minutes of waiting, they asked me if I would mind seeing another doctor. Then after the exam the doctor explained my benefits and I replied Id be using Costco for their convenience (which may be a little rude on my part but I was being honest). He stated, you wont be able to use your vsp benefit there. What! Yes I can, what a crock to try to get you to buy from them. The doctor quoted me 50 dollars out of pocket for contacts INCLUDING a rebate I would have to deal with myself- who has time for that. At Costco I was able to use my benefit, didnt deal with any rebates, AND received my contacts that day for only 11 dollars out of pocket. I will say on a positive note they honored the year scratch warranty on a pair of glasses earlier in the year and replaced them. Of course most optometrist push sales, so weigh pros and cons of their services.
I was a little leary because of the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised. The doctor was nice and on time! Dr. Huff answered my questions and I didnt feel rushed. I love the new glasses ( I think, 2 wks wait). You should go and not let a few disgruntled reviewers change your mind! Im glad I did!
Saw Dr. Kettler and she was great, but the experience otherwise was less than stellar. I personally didnt much like the selection of frames and had way too much help from staff in making a decision. The receptionist took it upon herself to come help as well, which resulted in some tense and awkward interactions between herself and the guy whose job it was to help select and order frames. Then when they came in I never got a call bc they had entered my phone # wrong on the record, the guy didnt even clean off the lenses, claimed they were perfectly fitted and didnt adjust them at all, AND one of the lenses was the wrong prescription! So I had to have them re-ordered! Worst and most unique experience Ive ever had ordering frames and lenses.
Very helpful and friendly. Appointment didnt even take an hour. Definitely recommend :)
This has to be the worst optometrist I have ever been to - and I have been wearing glasses/contacts for over 2 decades. I recently moved to Anchorage and had all of my contact lenses stolen out of my car while in the process of moving. I scheduled an eye exam so that I would be able to replace my contacts. The optometrist, Dr. Kettler, pushes an incredibly expensive brand of contact lenses and she and her staff were utterly unhelpful in working with me to get a prescription for my previous brand of contact lenses so I could order them online like I always have in the past. They insisted I try Dailies Total 1, which I did and liked; however, the cost is entirely prohibitive. I wasnt told the cost of this brand until the follow-up appointment. I explained I couldnt afford this brand and that I wished to just go with the brand I have been using for years, Biofinity, and want to order them online as I have in the past. The prescription they sent me away with was for the prohibitively expensive brand even after I told her that I could not afford them and wanted to just go with my previous brand of contacts. As a result, when I placed my order online it was refused. When I called to try and get the situation resolved the staff was rude and condescending. I just want to get the contacts that I have been wearing for years and now my insurance benefits for an exam are gone, Ive paid the $70 fee for the contact fitting, and appear to be stuck with my years-old glasses indefinitely.
Very friendly, good customer service.Got my eyeglass fast.
Couldnt post zero stars, so....... Terrible performance!!! DO NOT GO!!!I gave them many opportunities to fix this before writing this review.I live in Valdez, a 300 mile drive to Anchorage.I scheduled my first exam in May 2018. Everything was quick efficient, professional. I never received my prescription in a written form, but, I ordered new glasses anyway. I wanted to try contacts and was informed I needed a seperate exam for those. I scheduled, attended, and paid for a second exam. My glasses came in, after a long delay, and the prescription was wrong. (first time this has happened to me ever) No biggy. I scheduled another apt. had another exam, (prescription was different, the second time) ordered new glasses. They took a long time to arrive, and were wrong again. Another exam, (prescription was different). By this time, Dr. Hull is like do you have any medical conditions? Maybe you are developing a cataract?, Do you have diabetes?. No. In fact, through all of this, my old glasses still work better than anything they have tried to make for me. So, it is now January 2019. I still do not have glasses that work for me. I have paid $1000.00 for them. I have made three trips into Anchorage for them. I can not get anything from them, not even a timely return of my calls. I would usually never write a bad review, but they have earned it.DO NOT GO THERE!!!!
THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS RIDICULOUS. THE SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. IF YOU WANT A PRESCRIPTION RELEASED TO ANOTHER STATE THEY WILL PUT YOU AT THE BACK BEHIND EVERY PATIENT EVEN WALK-IN PATIENTS. DONT USE THIS PLACE IF YOU EVER WANT YOUR PRESCRIPTION TRANSFERRED.
Service was great, but there prices were to high for my family.
Courteous staff and great service. Was in and out very quickly. My son was very comfortable.
In my opinion, disorganized, fail to answer phones, buyer beware. Go to Walmart, better prices in my opinion,.
Beautiful office with some of the latest equipment and a good selection of frames. Personable and professional staff.
I made an appointment on line with Dr Stralka because I had been to him in the past and was happy with him. When I got to the office for my appointment the girl working the front desk could not find my appointment. They took me to the get ready room and the equipment was broke so I had to get on my knees to look through the machine. Then she took me to the exam room and the chair is wore out and leaning forward so you feel like you are going to fall out of it. They did not tell me that Dr Stralka was not even there. Some other doctor comes in and introduces himself. I explained that I did not have an appointment with him and he said he was sorry but he was the Dr there that day. The whole experience was terrible. Then when I went to the desk to check out they charged me 20.00 that my insurance does not cover for my eyes to be dilated. They should have informed me of this prior to performing this.
It was good except for now you cant pay on your glasses, the full balance has to be given before they can even order them.
Staff and physicians we knowledgeable and very friendly.
My visits to the offices have been unfailingly POSITIVE. Caring and attentive, every person with whom I have interacted has been professional and knowledgeable.
Did not care for Northern lights Eye Care at all, Went there yesterday for my son, The young lady that did the eye exam was nice, he needed glasses and the woman that was suppose to help with the glasses had zero personality, rude and barely helped my son at all, personally I will never go here again and will tell as many people as possible about my experience.
I have been a patient with Dr. Huff at Northern Lights Eye Care for two years. I feel he is competent and a fair to good eye doctor. My low rating is a results of the business and patient experience. Each of my two visits has been has concluded with surprise charges. (I except to understand the billing and charges before the are imposed on me.) Both revolve around surprisingly high contact and glasses fittings. My 2013 contact fitting cost $120 out of pocket, which may or may not be too high, but it was not communicated to me prior to billing. My real bone to pick is with the optometrist office (where glasses and contacts are sold). There prices are exorbitant. My Acuvue Moist for astigmatism contact would have cost $36 per box, I purchased mine from 1800Contacts for $30 minus a future rebate. Thats a 20% markup! Additionally they now only carry boring Rx sun glasses that cost upward of $275 for just the frames! In summary Dr. Huff is fine (and likely the other doctor). My patient experience has been awful! It culminated with a still unresolved dispute over releasing my entire medical file.
The technician who did the preliminary exam was not very friendly. She was rather abrupt and seemed unhappy. Dr. Kettler on the other hand was very nice and pleasant.
I had a good experience at Northern Lights Eye Care. The office is nice, the people are friendly and helpful, the doctor and his staff were very courteous and professional.
Everyone there is very kind & caring. I truly trust my Dentist!
Horrible customer service. I called in to make an appointment for my wife who had an emergency eye issue as her vision was blurry and she was in pain They acted like they would be able to get her in then proceeded to ask me a bunch of questions including what her SSN is. They then said they wouldnt see her for a week. Waste of a 10 min phone call and very unprofessional to not make time for an emergency. Not making time for an emergency issue shows little care for patients. Id take my business elsewhere.
I love NLEC! Always so knowlegable and helpful, and great customer service!
If I could give 0 stars I would! The front desk lady is horrible! She felt it was appropriate (because I couldnt hear her) to roll her eyes and call me psycho. I guess because I told her It was going to be a second for my insurance card as I had to dig it out of my purse. Little did she know my five year old was still standing at the desk when she said this! First off you work the front desk CUSTOMER SERVICE (which she really lacks) is key, you work with the public and I dont care what anyone thinks of me or anyone else that walks into their business it is innapropriate to say anything out loud or at all, because clearly you never know who is actually paying attention and listening! I then had to explain to my five year old that yes what she did and said was very wrong and we dont speak about people that way.I should have walked out and not given them my business like I wanted to do. Instead I complained to the office manager, that was a mistake as she seemed to not really care and would have to discuss it with the her and figure out what the situation was in my opinion it doesnt really matter what happened or didnt happen its still very innapropriate to speak about a client. I was made to feel (even though the manager apologized) that what I was saying being taken lightly and that what the front desk lady had to say about it was taken more serious. I was informed that the owner would be notified, but I really doubt that will happen. My experience with the Dr. Kettler was good, but the first impression given by the front desk makes me not want to go back there ever again!
