The doctor is pretty amazing. Love love loved him. . The lady who helped me find my glasses was nice. I had a good experience when I went to pick them up to they helped me adjust my glasses.The glasses are very expensive though, and they have an alright selection. I needed a new pair desperately so I paid a lot of something I just liked not loved. I would go see the eye doctor then buy a pair somewhere else if you have more time to pick some out :)

Got my son his lens from there. They prescribed him the wrong grade the first time after waiting for over a month for the glasses. So they reordered a new pair of lens to be installed on his existing frame and we waited more than a couple of weeks for them to get here. They ended up not fitting the frame. Then they wanted us to give them the frame for them to ship it to the lens manufacturer, so that they could fit it there. We have no backup glasses for my son, and they werent willing to send a similar frame to the manufacturer to get the lens fitted there.

I have been going to Dimond Vision for over 15 yrs and my Mom went there for years till she passed away. We would not go anywhere else!! My Mom had several major issues & Dr Dodson took excellent care of her. Even when she had to have several surgeries & He did not do them he referred her to the best surgery unit in Alaska. They too did awesome work for my Mom!!! She loved him. I love them too! Never had an issue!! When it comes time for anything to do with my eyes.....It will be Dimond Vision who helps me!!! Highly recommend them for simple to complex service!!!

I highly recommend Dimond Vision Clinic! They are adhering to all the CDC guidelines. You arrive and text them, then they greet you at the door and take your temperature, every instrument is disinfected in front of you and each room has a huge Hepa Filtered air purifier. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, professional and very friendly. The entire experience was amazing! If you need an eye exam, please go to Dimond Vision Clinic!

The prices turned out quite a lot higher than I anticipated; On the plus side, all the folks I interacted with were super nice, especially Cher who wrapped up my visit by setting me up with new specs. She went out of her way to make sure I got what I needed, even calling my prior optometrist to find out some details she needed.

THEY CHARGE OVER TWICE AS MUCH AS COSTCO FOR CONTACTS. Do not buy contact lenses or glasses from this office. I had been paying $800 for a years worth of contact lenses and then found out I could get the same amount and same brand of contacts for $350 at Costco. Shame on this place for overcharging people. Im not proud that I was scammed but I definitely wouldnt recommend this place to friends or family because of the lack of integrity and preying on peoples ignorance.If you need an eye exam, then they will do it just fine - but I would caution you to just have the prescription faxed to Costco or some other place for purchasing eyewear.

Hands down the best overall experience I’ve ever had at an optometrist. Called in as a new patient (referral from my insurance provider). Everything was smooth. Plus, with Covid19 concerns the entire office was clean, staff did well with sanitizing everything as they went along, and the precautions they take seemed very streamlined.My first contact was with Ashley. She was super friendly on the phone and very efficient. She was able to get all of my info over the phone. She also was able to get my prescription from my previous optometrist for me in order to get me some contacts until my appointment date. She even called me back later the same day to let me know she had some contacts for me to pick up and was even able to get me in for a much sooner appointment than planned. Awesome!Dr Frank was polite, explained everything clearly, and made great recommendations for contacts and glasses. I loved how they are very modern in their practice as he showed me pictures of my eyes, explained what he looks for, and details what I need to be aware of. Very cool!While everyone I met was great the true star of my visit was Shea. She was extremely friendly and has a great personality. Shea was super helpful in helping me choose nice frames for my face and answered all my questions about different lens options. She’s obviously a people person and I left the appointment feeling like we were old friends.I would gladly recommend Dimond Vision Clinic to everyone!

I have been going to Dimond Vision Clinic since I was a teen, my grandmother went there and now my kiddos go to these incredible people. I always have a wonderful experience, but somehow still they surprise me with their kindness and professionalism every time I go. I was intimidated to go bc of covid, but they handled everything with care and cleanliness. Also I was absolutely shocked when I went to try on new glasses and Nancy Harpel was there to help. Not only did she find exactly what I was looking for, perfectly... on the 1st try.... she NAILED IT with my teens glasses too(her 1st pair ever). Both of us...she got it on the first attempt. She is truly gifted. If youre indecisive and need new glasses, please go see this awesome human. This whole team is fantastic 👏

Dimond Vision always treats us with respect and kindness. They are very advanced in equipment testing for your eyes so they can pinpoint any problems you might have. Dr. Dobson is wonderful, he is very informative and educated and the kindest eye doctor you will find.

Went to see Dr Frank to get a referral appoint for a corrective eye surgery. I had to wait over 45 minutes for him after the initial exam to come and give me the referral. During the referral exam he mentioned that if I went to the location, he suggested that there would be a refund on referral appointment. I have discovered that there is no refund and would suggest that if you do need a referral exam to find another doctor to get the exam done at.

Arrived at our scheduled appointment time and were made to wait for 25 minutes. My 3 1/2-year-old daughter was very patient but they insisted on asking us to wait another 30 minutes or reschedule. We have had another bad experiences at his location with them not keeping the appointment time as agreed-upon. I will be very happy to move and not have to use this provider any longer. It seems they focus more on quantity of patients to make money rather than caring for what they actually have capacity to handle.

They are professional, polite, fun n friendly. For years they have been the very best care for me and my whole family. They actually treat us like family.

I called the office today to see about an appointment. I was told they were tight but would send my info to the doctors office and someone would call me right away to see if there was a possibilty or to schedule an appointment. Fast forward several hours and Im at an urgent care. It would be nice in todays society that people followed through on their statements. Wouldve liked to establish a preferred eye care facility and optometrist here in Anchorage, the search continues.....

The atmosphere is inviting. The recieving staff is kind. The doctor I saw was also kind and seemed quite knowledgeable and they take my insurance. Also, they have a large selection of frames and lense options. All in all it was a very good experience. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that I waited a very long time as they were backed up that day. It happens but it was also inconvenient.

I have been seeing Dr Dobson for many years now. He and the staff are wonderful. They have all the latest gadgets to make sure nothing is missed but because I have a propensity for retinal blood vessel breaks he also does a through hands on exam as well. The optical department is excellent as well! My only complaint is due to my age I need to carry 4 pairs of glasses around 😢(sun, regular progressives, reading glasses, and computer glasses). You could go to a cheap location but remember you cant put a price on experience!

Dr. Dobson is the best! I have been going to Dimond Vision Clinic for almost 30 years. The office is very very busy and it takes a long time to get an appointment. The techs that do the testing are professional and friendly. If the office made appointments to get eye glasses I would have given 5 stars. You often wait a long time in the office to choose glasses and to pick up your new glasses.

Dimond vision clinic took care of me even though they did not have to. They saved me from having to wear very terrible glasses for months till my insurance kicked in again in January. I am so very grateful for them doing this. They have also remodeled their entire clinic and it is absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much Dimond Vision. I can see again!

Ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses, which were way too expensive. I ordered on a Friday and was told they would arrive in about two weeks. I was excited and called 11 days later, on a Tuesday, just to see if they were in yet. They said the sunglasses would get in Thursday. Great! Except they werent.I called on Thursday, they said there was a delay, and theyd arrive Tuesday. Called on Wednesday, they said their was a defect in the glasses and the lab had to outsource part of the work, but they were shipping that day and would arrive Friday.Today is Friday. I just called, the lab hasnt even shipped them yet! They wont ship them until Monday, meaning I SHOULD get them Wednesday. That will be nearly a month since I ordered them, IF they even show up Wednesday.Outageous.

Staff was friendly and helpful and Dr. Kjome was great. Very thorough even on a routine eye exam and has excellent technology to give you an accurate look at your eyes and your vision. I was recommended by a friend and would recommend anyone in the Anchorage area or beyond to make it a point to come here.

Dr. Kjome has always has the best technology and knowledge to use it . After traveling the US and having to see other eye doctors, I couldnt wait to get back to someone who was up to date with technology and had a staff who could bill insurance properly. The office will work in emergencies. We have never had an extensive wait .

Dr. Kjobe and his colleagues keep up with the state of the art eye health and vision tests, equipment and observation, and nutrition/ vitamins in a holistic practice. I continued to rely on them for my vision care for the past 10 years even after I moved back to Fairbanks. Dr. Kjobe understands my bifocal needs as a birdwatcher (I want the best far distance vision) at the same time provides prescription that works for close up work. The whole staff is very helpful and bends over backwards to get you an appointment!

I had been to Dimond Vision Clinic before and had a good experience. I returned after having moved back to the area, however I did not have the same good experience. I ended up waiting 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, and found that they were still not prepared for my actual visit. I was more than irritated by that time so I left, needless to say, I will not return. No one called to follow up on what happened. Slow and poor customer service.

Dr. Dobson goes out of his way for his patients. My daughter had an eye irritation over the weekend that turned out to be an infection. Dr. Dobson met us at the clinic on a Sunday to treat her and get her the medication she needed to clear it up. He even went as far as to say that if we had waited until they were open, the infection may have affected her cornea. We always get wonderful care at Dimond Vision.

My family was referred to Dimond Vison Clinic by a friend over 25 years ago. The office has kept up with the technology of the times, always looking for new innovative ways to look after my eye health. I love the eye scan! They take a picture of the inside of the eye to look for problems at the earliest stage.When my insurance changed a few years ago and Dimond Vision was no longer in my plan, I tried multiple other clinics around Anchorage, none of them compared to the care I received from Dr. Kjome & his staff.He is very kind, gentle, and informative. Hes happy to go over the specifics of my eyes, and will show me on the pictures hes taken what his notes mean on the chart- I feel like my eyes are in the best care. A few years ago I had very dry eyes and though it is not the normal part of the exam asked for his opinion. He suggested vitamins, an eye press and eye wash and explained the possible causes of dry eye and what I could do to work with it. I really appreciate that he takes the time to listen to his patients and respond to the questions that are on my mind.Small little things like that really make a big difference and make an office stand out against the rest.The folks in the glasses shop are also helpful and accommodating, they always offer to give your current pair of glasses or sunglasses a good cleaning or a readjustment & on a previous pair of glasses I had - I asked if the nose pieces could be swapped out. Instantly the tech swapped out my uncomfortable metal pieces with stock silicon ones. It took zero time for him to swap them over, it didnt cost me anything, and he let me keep my old pieces in case I ever wanted to swap back.My family and I have been recommending friends to Dimond Vision Clinic for years. If you are in the market for a do your eyes a favor. Look them up! I dont trust my eyes to anyone else! Why should you?(Also I received NO incentive or discount to write this review)

The frontdesk staff were horrible. It seems their manager doesnt mind it at all. Be careful when you are asked to pay out of pocket. Most likely they will overcharge you. Try to do your own math and also be ready for their impatient, unhappy, and funny faces. Although Dr. Gary was great, I am not going back. So sorry for Dr. Gary!

I have been seeing Dr Dobson for many years. I always bring a lot of vision questions, because I screen childrens vision, and he has given me lots of assistance. He had even offered to see children pro bono who had no resources.His office has sophisticated technology and I am confident of a thorough exam at every visit.

Decided to try another place besides LensCrafters. Dr was great. It takes weeks to receive prescription glasses. Third time I put them on; the lens falls out on to ground.Im very, very upset. LensCrafters NEVER had this issue and I went Ray Bans from Dimond Vision.Go to office and they dont even know who I am!!! Gave them my name three times and birth date three times. Turns out they entered my birthdate wrong and no comment. The gal checks out the glasses and says Im not happy with the fit. im sending them back. Excuse me? How is this place still in business?!

Yes I normally have to wait in the office, but if nobody can diagnose your problem, Dr. Dobson LOVES a good mystery and is very good at figuring out what is causing the problem. Hes been my doctor since 92 and was referred to me by a woman who couldnt get an accurate diagnosis and treatment in or out of Alaska, until she went to Dr. Dobson. He diligently keeps up on current practices, and is just a super-nice, gentle guy.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Dobson at Dimond Vision Clinic for 15 years now. Our sons are also long-time patients. I have always found all of the staff to be courteous and professional, and we always receive a very thorough exam. They are continuously updating to the latest technological tools to aid in the examination process. The clinic itself is stunning after the recent renovation. I particularly appreciate that Dr. Dobson takes a conservation approach with care; i.e., a slight change in vision doesnt necessarily warrant a costly change in prescription. As much as I like the care we receive, I also appreciate their amazing selection of eyewear, which is also constantly being updated. I feel very fortunate that friends recommended Dimond Vision when we first moved here, and I too recommend them to everyone we meet.

I went to Dimond Vision Clinic originally on the advice of a friend. I have never regretted that-- I have always been served very well there! The doctors keep up with the latest in technology and new discoveries. I see Dr. Dobson, but have also seen Dr. Kjome. Both are excellent. I have been a patient at DVC for over two decades now and I have never had a bad experience there. The DVC office staff are always cordial and very efficient. Dr Dobson always takes the time to explain things that are changing with my vision as I age. He has detected and diagnosed some potentially serious eye problems to allow me to maintain my vision without any significant changes to my lifestyle or aviation career. When I have had questions or concerns regarding my eyes, I have been able contact him via email and he has always responded promptly. Im camping cross country, driving through, I went to see the dr. because I thought a contact lens was stuck in my eye. I got an appointment right away, the dr. was very knowledgeable and showed me the proper way to remove my lense, he took a short exam, found no lost lens, WALKED me out to the front desk and didnt even charge me for his time. It was a courtesy that is so rarely given. I loved the office, professionalism, patience and service. My friend in Anchorage used them as their eye dr. and I too would if I lived here. They are an honest true mom and pop business that CARES for the patient not the all mighty dollar! Kudos to you Dimond Vision Clinic!!! Kudos to you!!!!

First visit was about 45 minutes wait as well as the second and today is the third. Was there 10 minutes before my appointment time was waiting until 20 minutes after still not hear anything from them so decided to ask to see how much longer, she is nice enough to send someone to check and he came back and told me it would be 30 more minutes huh!! all total of the wait would be almost an hour??? I think I dont have that much time to spend with this place anymore ...my appointment was set up almost a month in advance and this is unacceptable!!
