Very comfortable coffee spot. Opens at 8:00am and if you get there early, you’ll get a cozy spot near the fireplace. The place starts to get crowded soon after. The lattes are excellent and the service perfect.

Great local cold brew. The baristas there will make you some good quality coffee or just get a can of cold brew for later. They have some light meals and some sparkling water.Seating is spread out and plentiful.

I went for the first time today. I just drank the BEST iced white chocolate mocha I have ever had. Im so glad I decided to go in. Will definitely be back. Thank you!

Love their coffee- couldn’t wait to go there! Great place, friendly atmosphere, and service was amazing! But at 7:34 on Monday morning they are CLOSED? I was there last Saturday and they only had one person working who did a great job. It is just weird to me that a quality coffee shop would not be open Monday through Friday in the morning during “morning coffee hours?” Thanks for your hard work in tough times, just please open up earlier so the community can enjoy all you provide!

I like the atmosphere, the coffee was a bit weak for my taste. The deserts are local and really good! There is inside seating, and additional seating in the mall just outside the shop so we were able to sit down and socialize at a warm and dry table!

Midtown Mall location. Excellent fast, friendly service. Convenient location within the mall. Good place to take a break while shopping or meet up with friends or business contacts. Slow coffee bar is excellent. One can purchase bags of locally roasted whole coffee beans or ground. Theres a large variety of teas and other beverages. Baked goods and other eats are very tasty, too.

If you looking for ok coffee you might like it. If you are looking for specialty coffee you might be disappointed. If you order a coff it should be full not 14 oz in a 16 oz glass!

Hello I worked for a coffee shop before but for food anyways the ladies that made the (my) coffee I Love it Strong and this is the only place that makes it Strong Dark and Hot the way I like it large with 4 shots and not afraid to make it hot. Thank you ladies for the perfect coffee in Anchorage.

Excellent coffee drinks that taste like coffee rather than sugar. There has been a couple of times where my drink was not made very well, but still better than anywhere else I have been. Ill treat myself to an almond milk latte every so often and study in the shop. I also have a bag of their coffee at home for my morning black cup. Would definitely recommend.

Coffee was different, a new kick on caffeine, service was great though, friendly and courteous. Comfortable seating and not loud for a coffee shop. Relaxing atmosphere and sure I may go again.

This is the most reliable source in Anchorage for a variety of single origin coffees. Every week they roast up a new batch. Great options for how you want your cup brewed. Would definitely be 5 stars if their baristas would step up their service level. Sometimes theyre great but often they seem more interested in socializing with each other.

I love the variety of coffee they have, but I hate that I find one I like and then I cant find it again when its time to restock because they change up the roasts so much. The service is usually good, but sometimes in moving quickly to get drinks made their customer service isnt quite as good at the register.

This is a great place to come to get some work done. Coffee is good, service is knowledgeable, plenty of seating. The Midtown mall is really developing into spot you can go for everything, so nice to see that.

Steamdot is by far the best coffee in Anchorage! I stop in everyday for my morning coffee and I am always greeted by friendly staff. It’s also a great environment for meetings.

They are just as good as Kaladi, another local competitor. Shop locally owned businesses while you are up here. Its one of the few places left in the US where they can compete with the big boys.

Great ambience and amazing coffee. The slow brew methods employed by SteamDot, not to mention their choice bean selections, produce some of the most satisfying cups of coffee Ive ever enjoyed. The midtown location is convenient and a great place to meet up with friends or quietly enjoy a cup of coffee while reading the newspaper.

So I gave this review a three star because the store location was very nice.The mocha I ordered was horrible! I ordered and walked to my car and drove away, took my first taste and it was bad. Dumped it out at the next stop light I was at.

SteamDot has some really interesting ways to brew coffee that can really change the way you enjoy your caffeine. I personally love a nice glass of their cold brew. If you ask, the staff will explain the different brewing processes, which is neat!Also worth checking out their waffles, the Biscuits and Red Eye Gravy (made with espresso), and really any of their baked goods.

My go to place for coffee and espresso. Consistently pulling great shots, superb customer service, and they are meticulous with their motto: Source. Roast. Present. You definitely wont find another coffee bar like SteamDot.

This is a wonderful place to enjoy coffee. The barristas are excellent at crafting the coffee. The atmosphere is really pleasant and they are always showcasing a local artist on the walls. The location is convenient right at midtown and its a great way to start an REI shopping excursion. They also serve really good treats.

Ambiance is so-so since its attached to the mall but their single origin beans are great and well roasted. Tried the Ethiopian with V60. Great cup for only $3.50. They had 4 different single origin beans to chose from if I recall correctly

Excellent coffee, great idea. Sometimes the customer service is like being in some pretentious coffee joint in Seattle. I consistently get better service from SB and KB. Even if there is better coffee here, I dont need the cool greeting and passive aggressive eye roll when I speak the order incorrectly and they have to ask me one question to clarify.Sorry to disturb you while youre at work, but I function better with coffee. So gimme a minute to get coffee before I order....And sometimes they surprise me!

If you like traditional coffee (i.e. not the stuff with foam and syrup), this place has the best coffee in town. They brew drip coffee with scientific perfection. If you research how to brew the perfect cup of coffee, thats basically what SteamDot does. The environment is also really good. I highly recommend their coffee.

Fantastic atmosphere and the baristas have an impressive knowledge of their wares if you have questions. They may take their time making your drink since coffee is an art and is treated as such.If you need a fast bucket of burned coffee, stick to your office carafe. Dont waste your time on fine works that you wont appreciate.

Steamdot serves great coffee and offers classic coffee shop ambiance. The staff is friendly, helpful, and makes everyone feel like a regular. The prices are fair, although discounted refills on regular drip coffee would be nice. Overall, I strongly recommend Steamdot to locals and visitors alike.

Your employees should be more respectful. A comment by one of your female baristas just about ruined my day.That was the last visit Ill make to Steamdot for a while. I can make coffee at home.

This place was clean and the atmosphere was plesant. However they kept the door that lead into this location from the mall, locked for some reason. I almost did not go in because of that. The door outside was unlocked thankfuly so i had a latte which was pretty decent.

Great drink selection for coffee and tea. Ive been there to grab a hot drink with my study group for class.

Great coffee!!!

I really, really like this place and it is fantastic for business meetings. The noise level is just high enough that you can have conversation and hear each other well, but that not everyone in the room is listening in. The staff are also incredibly friendly.

Their espresso (no sugar, no creme, straight espresso) is amazing. Also I like how they serve with carbonated water for getting after taste off of your tongue.

If you are looking for great espresso and a wide variety of craft pour overs. Look no further! A great coffee shop!!!

Ive had great lattes and bad lattes from here over the past couple years but with the recent increase in prices Im going to make an effort to find somewhere else to enjoy a cup. $5 for a latte is offensive. And while Im here, I hated your change on the 16oz lids.

The Veggie Breakfast Sandwich is terrible. Cold eggs, stale bread. Will definitely not be eating here again. My Americano was bitter as well.. Truly a disappointment.
