The manager was so personable and related to me on several levels after I explained I recently started a new skincare routine and was looking to fill in gaps and try new products. She listened to me and my needs and tried to help from there. I hope the moisturizer she recommended with fit nicely into my routine. At the end, had a little use with a return and a gift card lol, but she fixed it! Very nice experience.

Sad to write this review as the stylist that did my hair was very friendly and sweet. I scheduled a haircut as they had the earliest availability and I had received a recommendation for them. I brought pictures and explained I wanted length taken off and layers put in. When I left, my hair had been dried and styled, and looked pretty good. However, when I got home, and got it washed, I saw that there was a chunk of hair that had not been cut, one section that was cut shorter, several uneven sections, and the bottom was incredibly blunt. By this time, the salon was closed, so I started a chat with Ulta’s “let us help” chat option. The representative took my complaint and said that the store operation manager would reach out to me directly. It has been 5 days and I have not received a call. I finally made an appointment elsewhere to get it fixed, and ended up paying for another haircut. So sad, disheartened, and disappointed. I will be scheduling out in advance for salons I know and trust from now on.

Well 5 star for the wife. She loves it here, but we both agree its a lil pricey.. need spots for guys to chill and wait. Lol

Nice store, things easy to find. Theyll make sure that you get what you need and quickly. Also helped my girlfriend with a gift card that was acting up, which was nice considering my girlfriend took like 20 minutes to get it all figured out in the store.

I placed my order online for in-store pickup. It was easy, no problems with the app or with the pickup process.

I love this Ulta. The people are always so nice and friendly. Im giving it a 4 star only because they run out of stock so fast. I think they need a better system or person for inventory! Buying online simply takes too long for shipping and Im impatient when I want something lol.

Ive been there twice, and both times the customer service was poor! And I was there early, so they were NOT busy. When I asked for help, I felt overwhelmed, and was left to fend for myself. I recently HAD thoughts of, again visiting the store, because I needed advice on purchasing a good brow liner.However, after reading ALL the negative reviews, Ive definitely changed my mind, and will NOT be shopping there. Seems like nothings changed...

Its unfortunate they have a security guard and have increased their alarm tags over the last year or so. I understand why. Just unfortunate, it really takes away from the experience. I love trying new products so I take my time reading the packaging and I rather see an ULTA beauty to answer my questions rather than a security guard making me feel like Im doing something wrong. My advice, read up on your products for a in and out, quick trip.

Out of some things, throughout store, no more sampling makeup with the virus so everything is wrapped in plastic wrap. The store was busy with customers, once stock goes back up it will be close to great again. Where is the Anastasia? Couldnt find it at all. Security doing his job.

This was a few years ago. Lady did waxed my eyebrows and they came out awful. I left the store crying and they still made me pay. She didnt do any measuemtns of my face or eyebrows or anything. She just slipped on some wax and completely over waxed them. Then she proceeded to put conceaper to outline them, but it didnt even match my skin tone what so ever. Never coming back here.

WTH is wrong with you people? I called to ask if they had an item. The person answering the phone said she would check the stock. Then she kept talking to various people in the store after telling one “have a good day” or whatever. After several minutes of listening to her talk to one customer after another, I finally hung up. Rude beyond words. I will look online.

Barely any lines and I love how employees always try to help and see what’s best for your skin.

Went to get a brow wax. The girl did a fine job on the shaping however she waxed my eyelids giving me a painful burn/rash. She also didnt ask what I wanted at any point and wasnt very friendly. Wont be coming back to this location for the brow services. Also, this ulta is kind of a mess. Ill go to target down the street instead.

COVID-19 protocols are in place but it’s the staff who were absolutely beyond rude I walked in first Sunday 03/21/21 a lady didn’t look up and counted me as a body count for the store’s capacity. I am From Out of the area (3hrs away) and frequent to my fav price stores in Albuquerque to stock up unfortunately every employee I asked for help either ignored me or answered me and pointed to the direction and left me standing alone. After stumbling around still needing help but grabbing a few items I went to check out and found the line from the registers was easily lined to the back of the store no problem except it moved up three people in twenty minutes. Between the horrible service and long wait I’ll be taking my business to another store and possibly future online shopping only . Maybe hire some actual employees

While sometimes their lines are long in the store, they really are always so friendly when I get up to the register. Pre-Covid, it was a bit easier to get assistance on the floor, but I appreciate them limiting staff for their safety, and for the safety of the public, limiting occupancy and practicing SD. Also, I LOVE their curbside pickup. I had an issue this weekend with a coupon and went in to see if the store could help me before online support, and sure enough, they are so SMART about helping their 💎diamond💎members STAY happy!! I always am happy to be there and spend my hard earned money at Ulta!! Keep it up ladies and gents!!! 💖

The store was a MESS, target down the road is more clean! Everything I wanted was sold out anyway, some items were open and I even found a used coffee cup on one of the make up displays.

I seriously always come here but the security guard needs to chill. He literally followed me everywhere because I had a purse? I’m not sure why? It was so uncomfortable and So much stuff was sold out so I kept walking around and felt pressured to buy something even though everything I wanted was sold out only because he made me feel like I was stealing or something? Seriously made me feel so uncomfortable. I understand people do steal but I am a loyal member here but will never return. No one even asked me for help but the security guard followed me down the entire time when when I got in line he looked at me it was so weird. Never will return to this location.

My daughter and her friend where accused for shop lifting, they simply put some of their items in a bag from another store because they didn’t want to drop glass items, a coworker come up and tells them that they are shop lifting and proceeds to take them to the back and tell another worker when the girls tried to explain why they had things in their bag they where cut off and yelled at, they then took them to the front and embarrassed them infront of the whole store, when they walked out the beeper went off for no reason the girls even told them they could check them the workers then told them to get out and never come back to ulta or the mall ever agin. 1 star because they humiliated my daughter and was very poorly treated

Monica a manager here is very rude and treats her employees like trash, she belittles them in front of customers and other employees. Ive been coming to this store for years and its sad to see this kind of behavior, especially from a so called Manager. The other day I was there she even snatched something from one of the employees. Poor girl looked like she wanted to cry. Monica shouldnt be Manager, very unprofessional, this is not how you treat your employees. I really hope upper management does something about this.

The young lady working in the make up area with all the beautiful tattoos is a magician. We are currently unable to test makeup on ourselves, she knew by looking at me exactly what I needed and when I tried it on at home, it was a perfect match. Please thank her for me & give her a raise, she is AMAZING !!!

I love this place, I have brand new friends now, I want to thank everyone there for helping me and my daughter out, I went to buy Libre and Coach Dreams, and Truly Unicorn Locks, my daughter wanted the Revolution Eyeshadow palette, and the Truly for her skin, lipstick, I had so much fun, shopping there, they even gave me free samples, and a free gift for my birthday, I will be going back in December for my sisters birthday gift, keep up the great work!!!

If youre closed for pickup dont answer the phone if youre closed and cant give me my items I paid for. The man who answered the phone was not professional and needs better training

If you already spend money on a good palet or eyelash curler they have good ones. Im in love with the James Charol palet amazing colores. But my cashier did an amazing job she was very happy out going and welcome us to the store with a happy voice.

The worst experience ever! They have no idea what the hell they are doing, they should not be allowed to color anyones hair. They ruined my hair and would not refund me. Will never go back. Staff knowledgeable, lines were long but worked fast to get us through, great presentation on displays.

We found the store a bit overcrowded although it was a Christmas sale. It was difficult to find an associate to help us find the products we were looking for. the checkout line was extremely long but the cashiers were moderately efficient and the line moved fast. The cottonwood Mall Ulta store is always busy and the staff is courteous.

Refused to let me pick up daughters pick up order. Said I needed to have her ID to pick up order. Kinda hard for my daughter to drive without an iD in her wallet.

So so so disappointed in the customer service I received today . I was checking out and the girl that was helping me asked me if I wanted to Add my email so I can get a free gift for my birthday so I told her well my emails already on there and I have received free gifts for my birthday and then she tells me what is email that’s on here looks really fake. And I replied well is it this email and she said yes so I said well that’s the correct email so then after she finished the transaction I Asked is this going to affect anything as my email still OK? And then she change the wording and said something like yes it didn’t affect in your email we just have people coming in here and giving out fake emails to us and I said well that’s too bad for them but my email was correct. I was really hoping that the gentleman that was next to her with a check me out because he was super friendly to all his customers this when I checked out with maybe she needed to go on break or something

Matthew was super friendly and helpful. After looking at the shelf in disappointment because my shade was out he quickly offered to go look in the back. He returned with one in hand and made my day! The cashier who happened to be the manager also informed me that i had missed my birthday gift and promptly updated my email so i wouldnt miss out next time. Great Customer Service here!

Very impersonal customer service. The last several times I’ve been to this location the staff doesn’t seem like they want to help when asked. I asked for help finding a new brow product and the associate pointed me to a powder by benefit even though I told her I was leaning more toward pencil. I ended up finding the brow wiz by Anastasia on my own which is a great product but ordering online would be a much better experience than returning to this store.

Visited this location for the first time today to get my eyebrows waxed. They didn’t have any openings with the benefit brow bar, but they got me scheduled within an hour with one of the stylists at the salon, Lyssa. She was extremely pleasant and did an excellent job on my eyebrows. Highly recommend!

I love this store! I live in Artesia NM and there is not one close to me! The staff here is always nice. I feel.comfortabke asking about whatever I am needing. I love my hair and eyebrows when I have them done here! I miss having an Ulta close by! I order online and have had no issues with shipping or getting my order right.

I tried to book an appointment in the salon with a stylist that I guess is no longer there. Monica answered the phone and told me she was the salon manager and was very rude. She said really fast “she doesn’t work here anymore and I don’t know where she is” and then hung up. I don’t advise anyone to give them the time of day. Judging from how rude management is I can see why the stylist left. Good for her!

Very disappointed with customer service at this Cottonwood store. I have been to this store a few times and each time find several employees chatting amongst themselves while I and others are in need of assistance. Today i was looking for recommendations for a new look and ready to spend hundreds of dollars and ended up going to a competitor after 40 minutes of watching employees dodge me and other customers. Customer lost for good now.

Somehow I was able to strategically keep my wife on track through the pallet that she specifically said that she wanted before we walked into the store. We walked in we wondered for a moment she found it and we left within 30 minutes. I am in shock. I love this Ulta.

Standard Ulta beauty store. Store was very clean and the staff were helpful. Only complaint would be that the Isles are way too narrow.

This Ulta has TWO master colorists! What does that mean? It means Hair Perfection. Specials for first time clients! Tell them I recommended you, so that I get a $10 gift card. 😄

I really liked my visit to visit to ULTA. It has a nice selection of beauty products for. Hair to skincare and makeup. They have department store brand and medium to high end products. Prices are good but as always wait for the sales.

This is my favorite Ulta in all of abq. Everyone is so nice, Serena at the salon has been doing my hair for years. Not only is she fantastic at hair, shes easy to talk to and makes your time in her chair really enjoyable. I always enjoy my experience when Im there, the whole staff is so nice.

I left a 1 star review 4 months ago and since then the customer service has really gone up. The manager has since apologized to me personally and the associates I have encountered have been nothing short of pleasant and you can tell they like their job. Thank you for improving on customer service and listening to your customers. 💚

Helpful staff

Awful customer service and the rudeness from the GM. I have been a Brand Partner with Ulta and other retailers for over 15 yrs and have NEVER told a guest were closing soon. I would always help the guest before closing so that they didnt feel rushed. I was there shopping for some items for the Sheriffs ball this weekend, and could have used the GMs help, but she proceeds to tell me were closing soon and walks right by me. I did not get what I needed. Paid for what was in hand. And, left without a thank you for coming in etc... . Very disappointed in how Ulta here in ABQ. They could have great potential, if they had the right staff.

This place is not worth applying for a job. If they are always hiring in the salon, and you apply then no one ever calls you back.. I would have loved to work for this company, but the lack of response is ridiculous.

I don’t usually go into Ulta just cause I don’t purchase a lot of makeup, same w other stores, but I just bought a few things for my mom, along with a gift card and went to go pay and the girl at the register was kind of rude. Idk if she was having a bad day or what, I hope not, but some of the employees need to work on their attitude. Customer service is not the best :/

A luxurious store where you can find cosmetics to purse size accessories to hair products in one place!

Poor customer service. I spent 30 to 45 minutes in the store without a single person offering to help. Most of this time was spent in the same area looking for a specific item with my husband. Sales staff stared at me rudely so I didnt bother asking for help. Staff did nothing until I placed items in the wrong spots. That was when they chose to get up and move them back. Staff still managed to never say a word to me while they did this. I give two stars only because I finally found the item I was looking for. I would have left except for the fact I had a gift card I wanted to use.

The young lady at the register today was very rude. There was no one in line and I was ready to cash out. I went to the counter and she says line starts down there. There was no one and no sign to say there where the line starts. I had to walk down from her and form a line, got to the register and my daughter was with me, not in front of her register, we end up going to someone else, she tells my daughter to move because she was in the way in which she obviously wasnt. Never will I step foot in there again. Farmington has way better service.

Stopped by this location today with my mom to get color matched for foundation. The beauty specialist that helped us was very knowledgeable and matched my skin perfectly. The only thing was, there was broken make up all over the floor and the specialist just ignored it instead of addressing it leaving us to walk through as we were shopping. Over all I am happy with the customer service and my products.

The Salon Ladies are great especially Serena. They are always friendly and helpful. Keep up the outstanding customer service.

For albuquerque, this is a great makeup store. Its clean and the workers are all very nice.

All the staff here is amazing! My wife enjoyed all they had to offer! They gave her the special treatment! Shontell from Tarte did her make up and it was outstanding! Santa Fe Ulta! Bravo! Cottonwood Mall Ulta! Eh. I despise waiting in long lines. Long lines and only one young lady taking care of us. What is that about? Sooo I put my items back and left. Santa Fe Ulta experience was much more satisfying. As I struggled with my email for coupons, rather than getting an impatient eye roll, another young woman opened up another register to help the others in line!

Most of the girls are a lot of help except for one i guess she was stereo typing for some reason and was of no help acting like I was stealing even though I spent over $100. Very rude .. Be careful how u treat people cuz u guys could have lost my business due to this

Nice people. Did not have the product I purchased there before. Called ahead and still got it wrong. Usually theyre pretty good about getting it right. This time was disappointing. Id like to be able to change this rating soon. I will continue to shop there.

Get rid of all the managers at Cottonwood and get ones that actually know how to manage, and I guarantee this store would be a better place except for Matthew, he will go out of his way to help you unlike the other lazy rude ones. The salon manager is the rudest. Store is dirty and nothing is stocked. The Paseo or Winrock location are much cleaner and the managers are much better.

Let me say that the selection is great... But, that being said, my experience there was abhorrent! I went with my daughter. (Shes a young adult.) We were dressed very casually; and, I would imagine we didnt give off vibes of the rich and famous. (We have plenty of money to spend there.) The security guard made it very obvious he was following us around! The staff was blatantly whispering into their little microphones as we would approach to share our location. I wish I had a video to share. We made purchases, only because we went with the intention of buying items we needed. I will not be back! Dont go if you expect decent, respectful customer service!! My daughter and I were embarrassed and humiliated! Shame on you, ULTA! Train your staff to be respectful...or at least teach them subtlety and discretion!! (Oh... We are members of their little club. They have our phone number and all other personal info. They should think about it before skulking around behind paying customers.)

I can never seem to understand completely why I keep coming here. I guess because it is 1 out of 3 stores here in Alb that is closer to me. And because of my love and obsession with make-up. Having a credit card their makes is so much easier for me to get everything I want and need. But the associates here are rude as hell. They always give me attitude and are always disrespectful. I never feel welcomed. Cashier (Lorin) I had today after a $120 purchase, made me feel very uncomfortable and was very snobby towards me. I gotta remind myself that the extra 10 miles is worth it. Please drive the extra miles down to Hollly Ave and get their excellent service their. They have make up experts and cashiers that help with rewards and actually offer coupons.

Had a pleasant experience, staff was very polite and helpful. A lot of the reviews talk about them being rude but this was not the case at all. If you are polite to them, they are polite back :) and I think a lot of people dont realize that in makeup stores they have stations which they are not supposed to leave for theft reasons... So when they point you somewhere instead of taking you to it, its because they cant leave usually.Only complaint was that they were running a bit low on a few things and I was not able to get everything I wanted. Great selection of brands though!

Everytime I go to this Ulta the girls always seem as though I am bothering them when I ask for help. The managers are not friendly at all and the store/products are always trashed. They are always out of product too. When I went yesterday the girl got a tester concealer and swiped it on my cheek with the actual wand that everyone else has probably touched or wiped on their hand or face. I never look forward to go in there because of the girls that work there. Unless you are like one of them, they dont give you the time of day, reminds me of mean girls.

Customer service is bad. I stop to buy a cc cream before work and the beautiful woman that didnt wanted to help was so mad. I love the store but you should improve the customer service.
