I was a long freeway drive away from home when my engine light came on. I pulled into Gilman Auto Repair hoping someone could help me, and Sussan (sp?) put aside what he was working on to look at my car. After assessing the codes, he added some oil and checked a variety of engine parts, ultimately determining the I would be safe to drive home. He was very kind and I had confidence he was giving me sound advice. I did make it home.

2003 c230 149K* He wanted to charge me $700 for replacing the oil in the gear or something.I took the car to the garage who did the gear thing in the first place. They just topped off and good was.* The car had a lot of scratches in my door and the sun roofer didnt work anymore when i picked up the car.

He is polite and super nice person. He knows what he’s doing. Good price. I’m glad I found this place.

Ive been a long time customer of Gilman Auto...(10+ years) They are a honest shop with very reasonable prices. I live in Discovery Bay which is a 70 minute drive to the shop. Its worth the long drive to me for the peace of mind that they care about the quality of service they deliver. You wont be disappointed!

Gillman Auto 3/11/20182011 Hyundai, 42000 miles:Paid $650 for: Spark Plug Replacement, Transmission Fuel Change, Ignition Coil Replacement and Inspection. u2028Taking the averages of Hyundai estimates for this model it should be $550 or less.Initially he said I should pay $775, but I (timidly) offered $650+$20 tax on parts. Could this have been a fair price...But more to the point:*THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL ON AFTERWARD.*AND the next mechanic who is looking at my car says that the Ignition Coils are all LOOSE.
