This review is strictly about the salesperson. Richard, at the Western Road location was amazing! My husband and I went into the store at 8pm and Richard stayed with us until 10pm working on getting us financed and into a price point we could afford. He was patient and thorough, and we really appreciated that. I would recommend asking for Richard when you go to shop for a mattress!

Richard was professional, knowledgeable and very helpful. Once he heard I had back problems, he recommended an adjustable base, something I hadn’t considered. After trying it out in the store, I think it will be a good option for me. Richard came up with a good pricing package. He arranged a weekend delivery, a day earlier than expected. I am looking forward to getting my new mattress this week. Based on my experience with Richard, I expect the delivery process to be positive as well.

Searching for a new mattress can be pretty daunting because of the importance of the product, the strong personal tastes we may have, and the wide range of options and price levels available. Thankfully, Jon Pink, Manager of the Mattress Firm in Guilderland patiently guided us through the selection process, helping us to identify our most important needs and wants, and informing our search with an impressive depth and breadth of experience in the field w/o pressure for a quick sale. This person knows his stuff, and his guidance was invaluable! We found the product we want, at a price that is fair, with next day delivery.

Place is amazing! Top notch in customer service! We purchased a mattress there a year ago and have gone in a couple of times for additional items like pillows and mattress covers and Jon has been super helpful every time!

My husband and I were in the market for a new mattress. We went to mattress firm as our first stop and are very happy with this decision. We had the pleasure of meeting Mike Fitzgerald. This is not Mikes normal store. However, we were very fortunate to meet this young man!! He spent a few hours with us and never showed any signs of being annoyed. Purchasing a mattress is a very difficult decision. You spend a small amount of time for a decision that needs to last years!! Mike gave us valuable information. He was not the average salesman just out for the sale. He laughed and joked with us while we narrowed down our search. He and my husband switched mattresses to try them on an adjustable frame in order for us to see which we may want. we finally made our decision and cant wait to get our new bed and adjustable base. I am grateful for all the time he spent with us and glad to have met such a fine young man!!! If you are ever in the market for a new mattress, his normal store in Queensbury. I highly recommend going to see Mike Fitzgerald.

I’m laying on my new bed as I write this thinking about my overall experience and I’m very pleased with the customer service I received and I am IN LOVE with my new bed! I had just left another mattress store before I came to Matress Firm and experienced a very aggressive salesperson and this was just the total opposite I didn’t feel rushed into making a purchase and I found the perfect bed!

Anita and Barbara were wonderful. I have been to other mattress stores and tons of pressure when trying to find a new mattress. These two lovely ladies did not try to pressure me into buying what I didnt want just to make a sale. Would highly recommend shopping here, they dont attack you like when you go to a car dealership!

I came in knowing exactly what I wanted and walked out fifteen minutes later with a fair deal courtesy of Jon. He didnt try and wheel me into a more expensive one, he just listened and showed me what I described. I cant speak for the mattress and delivery yet, but the store and buying experience went as efficient and friendly as could be.

Went to this Guilderland branch as our first stop to look for a mattress. We were hoping to get our item there but this old guy who approached us was so rude from the very beginning of our conversation. Very pushy - it was such a terrible experience with a terrible sales person with a nasty attitude. We have never experienced anything like that before. He made it so easy for us to leave the place immediately and leave not a single penny behind. We would never ever go back to that place!!!!

Barbara Wickman stayed an hour and a half after the store closed to ensure I had everything I needed and understood all the details of my purchase. She was never pushy and helped me make my purchase by asking me logical questions. She didnt try to oversell me and at the end I saved more than I spent on my purchase. Fantastic service!!!

My experience with the Guilderland store was terrible. I honestly cannot believe they are still in business with the way the manager, Ralph ‘Jon’ Pink runs the show. I have never been more disrespected in my life by an employee I was trying to give business to. He was very difficult to work with from the very beginning. I made a purchase and was entitled to a free adjustable base, which is their most current promotion. I was unaware of the promotion and Mr. Pink completely failed to mention it to me. Because he was so hard to deal with, I decided to visit an alternate location in Latham. At that time I became aware of the free adjustable base offer. It was recommended by the sales associate in Latham that I contact Mr. Pink to inquire about the base I was entitled to. I stopped by his store and asked, at that time Mr. Pink said he gave me a “great deal” and seemed offended that I would ask for more. He also threatened to cancel my order. IT IS THEIR PROMOTION. At that point, I did go to the alternate Latham location and dealt with Marty, who redeemed the store’s reputation. I was able to get the same mattress that the Guilderland location had for the same price, plus the free adjustable base, with no hassle. I went back to the Guilderland location to get my deposit back and cancel my order with them. Once Mr. Pink found out I went to the Latham location, he verbally berated and threatened me before kicking me out of the store. He insinuated that my mattress would “fall off of the truck” and guaranteed delivery would not be as promised. Ultimately he was right and my mattress wasn’t delivered when promised. I highly recommend saving yourself aggravation and avoiding the Guilderland location, or avoiding Mattress Firm all together.

Not a problem with the store. Warning if youre purchasing online, they never told me as I chatted and ordered Malouf Zoned Dough 6 Pillows that there was a no return policy. I opened the box, saw how thin and awful they looked, never even unzipped the packaging and they refuse to let me return them. $166 bucks down the tube.

Horrible, horrible. If I could give zero stars or negative stars, I would. After the money was charged to our credit card, the delivery was confirmed outside of the window that we had agreed. When bringing this to attention of the person answering the phone in the store (John) he would not let us finish a sentence, was rude and dismissive. He clearly is not cut out for a sales job. Rude, arrogant, mysoginistic. Never again - and yes, this mattress since it wont be delivered as agreed will definitely go back.

Upon Changing my mind regarding a purchase Manager Jon pink told me he would have to hold my check for 2 weeks when I had purchased the item only 3 hours prior I feel I should have been given this information before writing a check for almost a $1000 It then cost me an additional $20.00 to stop payment on the check Definitely Bad Businesses

Amazing Customer Service!!

Warning if they dont like u & find out where u work they try to get u fired.

While the store is conveniently located, there was only 1 person working there. When I came by, she snapped that she was already busy with another customer. Since there was another couple waiting to be helped, we just walked around ourselves and left shortly, since it seemed as wed have to wait forever to be helped. From seeing the floor samples, we thought the prices were very high, compared to other large local stores, such as Taft. Overall, Id skip this store and go elsewhere.
