Best Transmission shop I have ever been to

Terrible.First off we called to make sure they had what we needed. They confirmed they had it. We explained we would be Sold us a transmission that does not work. They will not consider giving any kind of refund or other assistance. Been though we had invoice and it was only 2 days after buying it, installing it and finding it didnt work.

Ian was straight with me about everything needed for the care and showed genuine care for me as a customer. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Very professional. They honored the estimate. There was a oil leak in the main seal. They contacted me if I want it done as well. They said, Im already under the car and easily accessible. So I told them to go ahead. They gave me the option first. They extended the life of my 1996 Silverado for several more years. We just want to do the right thing - Ian. That really impressed me. I took my sons truck in to get his clutch replaced and they seem like a reputable shop and so far no issues with the repair (only been a day). There does seem to be some communication issues internally as there were two instances regarding price and another about parts. Each was cleared up with out issue and originally quoted pricing was honored. I would just recommend to keep track of what you were told.

Ronnie and the guys are the best. I had my Acura TL transmission rebuilt here and still running strong. My son Johnathan had his Mazda 6 transmission serviced here with excellent results. Theyre reasonable and honest; I highly recommend them.

Work truck needed Transmission work and they seemed to be honest and have the best price. Big mistake!!! 12 month 12 thousand mile warranty was worthless when the transmission started to mess up again at 16,000 miles. Its now at another honest shop that said it shouldve lasted close to 100,000 miles but someone didnt do something right. Now Im paying for 2 transmissions on 1 truck within 16,000 miles. Go to Transmax of Orlando, further down Forsyth (5 star).

Great prices fast work

I had a fantastic experience working with Discount Transmission in Winter Park, FL. I commute over 130 miles each day to and from work, 5 days a week; so I’m getting quite a bit of wear and tear on my poor little Honda Civic. On my ride in one morning, my radiator cracked, leaving a 4 inch gash, leaking coolant. I patched it up and limped home and I replaced my radiator and both hoses that weekend, myself. It was the first and only repair that I have ever done on my car! It turns out I didn’t connect one of the transmission (transaxle) cables well enough and on my drive back home on Monday, it loosened and I was leaking transmission fluid. I filled it up Tuesday Morning and carefully drove into work. I searched for a place locally that could help me out! I couldn’t quite reach the cable to tighten it from over or under the car, and I simply did not have the time on a work night to redo the whole radiator job to get to that transmission line at the bottom of the radiator! I thankfully found Ronnie and Discount Transmission. I called them up Tuesday morning and he said to bring it on in. I did, on my lunch break, and Ronnie and his team were so helpful! They put poor Bess up on lifts and despite the huge trouble caused by the specifics of my car, were able to tighten that cable!! I don’t want to get detailed on the cost of the fix, but let me tell you, it was SO WORTH THE PRICE, and didn’t undo all the effort I put into replacing my radiator myself and not paying a shop to do it!!! Ronnie really made my day with that news, and I just had to write a review. There are so many places that try to grossly overcharge women with repairs to their cars, but Discount Transmission is not one of those places. It’s so nice to know that there is a place so close to where I work that is trustworthy and honest to work on my car if I have a problem so far from home! Thank you Ronnie, for your help, and I haven’t stopped talking about how great you all are!!

Had them remove an old carrier bearing and install a new one on a CV shaft I brought in. Did a great job and great price. I was quotes a $100 from advance cylinders across the street, just save your time and money and go straight to discount transmission.

I was in Discount Transmission of Orlando on Wed. Oct 2nd. I Was having transmission issues with my 2004 Grand Marquis, based on all the good reviews I figured Id try this shop out. They took a look and gave it a test drive, unfortunately the cost of a rebuild is more than I paid for the car. (Under a grand for the car.) But they were fair and continued to help me and suggest options long after I told them I was not getting the work done. They even offered me a slice of pizza! :) Although I did not have work done there, I would go back in a second if I needed work done.. argh.. off to buy a new car I suppose.. Bottom line.. Discount transmission is my kinda place! Thanks Guys!

INTEGRITY, OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!I found this blessing after almost being ripped off by the yellow&blue transmission folks over in fern park. I have a 1998 Chevy Monte Carlo it has over 280k miles and its still a smooth ride. I keep it roadtrip ready! Monty(my cars name) started stalling, slowing down in traffic, making all types of I need a new transmission noises. I instantly got sick to my stomach because I knew I was about to be out of a few grand to make sure my one and only vehicle(at that time) was on the road and rolling. I went to the yellow and blue transmission folk(not even worth mentioning their business name) and they told me I needed a new transmisson and it was going to cost me a few grand! I left there went home and looked for a different company to get a second rate not opinion bc even I (not a mechanic so I was guessing by using my limited knowledge and google university degree with a major in life hacks) thought I needed a new tranny.I was led to Discount Transmission. I went there, told Ronnie why I was there(told him the issues not that I wanted to see if he could give me a better deal on this transmission that I needed). He got in my car to take it for a spin and let me ride with him.I LOVED that! At first Monty was driving smoother than a Lexus NX 200T ;). I was like for real Monty! Then he did it(I was like a parent at their childs 1st first chair violinist recital), very proud that he didnt make me look like a crazy person. Ronnie said OK let me keep it and check it for you. I wasnt ready yet so I left, went home and took care of my transportation need.Fast forwarding through the long story I desire to share. Ronnie called me hey there was a fuse missing/out. I replaced it and your car is running fine. I will keep it to make sure He called me back after several hours, he saidyep I changed that fuse and its doing well now, you can come pick it up, if you do have anymore issues just bring it back and I will take care of it. Im thinking as he was talking to me, ok I guess a few hundred dollars is way less than a few grand. I let him finish and then I asked the BIG QUESTION, how much do I owe you?Ronnie (Discount Transmission) said Nothing. Wait, what!?! NOTHING. INTEGRITY!!! My car was driving extremely slow it was doing all kinda crazy stuff and it was just a fuse. He told me if I have anymore problems to bring it back. That problem was gone. I have not been back and this was well over a year. Monty is still running well. This is a place one should go to for their Transmission needs. Ronnie couldve charged me hundreds of dollars just bc he fixed the problem, he used his time and fuse. He didnt charge me a dime! I have sent everyone I know that has either a bad transmission or think its a transmission problem to Discount Transmission. They have all had great experiences. Great customer service, I loved the music they played in their shop(I think it was 88.3). It wasnt no rachet I need to cuss because Im ignorant type of music; it was safe for the little ears. I love the beautiful pictures they had on the wall. Ronnie you are a blessing! Do you understand that this man couldve charged me hundreds of dollars; he fixed my car! My car was driving awful before I took it in. I almost got ripped off by the yellow and blue bandits. God forbid, but if Monty ever have need new transmission symptoms again, I will bring it right back to you! Discount Transmission is not your average transmission shop! If you dont need a new transmission, they wont lie to you! He couldve charged me a grand. Very dishonest and not straight forward mechanics. Should have been a red flag when they couldnt even give a straight answer on when they would start working on my car. Quoted me a price to completely rebuild everything in my transmission on the inside and were very reassuring about that. When the job was done it was just the opposite, the price was $300 more as they now claimed they had to fix something else in the transmission that wasnt covered. They flat out lied to me. They were not friendly, personal, or any other traits that display good customer service. On top of that they tried to up sell more random repairs on the car that I did not even ask them about. Stay away.

Had to bring my jeep wrangler back to Discount Transmission 3 times to fix the problem each time they assured me it was fixed. $2400 later I got it back running. Soon after I brought it home I looked at the grille and noticed SPRAY PAINT SPLOTCHES and marks where they had apparently tried to SHOVE my transmission cooler past my radiator and then spray painted black AFTER they got it in.. not only that but damaged my radiator while attempting to install. They said they would fix all of this, but I actually took it to Manic Mechanic to fix the issues that Discount Transmission caused because of my distrust in them. Also rarely got updates on status of vehicle while it was in the shop. Had to call and ask what was going on multiple times. Find another place to take your vehicle for transmission repairs because this place will do more harm then good. BELIEVE ME

Great customer service and they do a great job on your car

Mom went in for an oil change. I asked her to see the receipt. Only thing written on there were her name, address, what kind of car she drove, the words oil change, and the price. Not very professional. Did not even put what type of oil. Worst of all, they wrote down 2013 Toyota Camry. She drives a corolla...If they cant do something as simple as identify the make and model of a car, I would not trust them to do any serious work.

So I came here with a transmission leak that was very hard to spot. The firestone told me that it was probably the back seal and the repair is going to be freaking expencive. It turned out to be a small dent in the tran case and as I have some experience fixing cars these guys told me step by step what I have to do to seal the leak (with jb weld). And it worked! + I was not chareged anything as it was a free inspection.

I am in car business for 20 years and deal with tons of mechanic shops . out of all those shops Discount Transmission is NOT one of the best, THEY ARE THE BEST IN TOWN .for Transmission any kind of mechanic work, and diagnostic,

They stole my vehicle after doing work I did not authorize and took advantage of me as a cancer patient.
