I don’t have very many issues with my car since I’ve had it but here lately I have had a few and was looking for a mechanic close to home.. sometimes I just don’t have the tools for the job or time ya know..anyway I found this place thank God I did! I love my car and it’s always nerve racking trying to find a mechanic and wondering if anything bad is going to happen but not here! Very trust worthy!

Being new to the area, I looked around for a reliable auto shop. ( Hard to find). After talking to friends I contacted Adkins and have used them for sometime. Their work is excellent and and the prices are fair. I have referred my three sons and daughter and we are well satisfied. All the people who work at Adkins are pleasant and always ready to help. I have an old (like myself) 2000 Ford Explorer, and they keep me up and running, and I know they are there for me from oil change to major repairs.

I bring my limited edition Ford Lightning here a lot. They’ve become almost like family. They do decent work at a fair price. They’re pretty understaffed though, so repairs do take time. For me, that’s absolutely fine, because I never drive the truck. For somebody needing work on their daily driver, it may be an issue.

I originally found this shop bc they are the only AAA certified shop in a reasonable distance from me. After having great service and meeting the owner (robert) who did everything he could to help me out, its the only shop I will go to now. Robert is a shining example of how to treat a customer well so they want to come back, and recommend their friends. If you have AAA, you get a discount upon mentioning it during checkout. I 100% recommend this place for your automotive needs!

There really arent enough kind words to say about Robert and his staff. My husband and I recently bought an RV that has been nothing but problems since driving it off the lot. Robert went above and beyond what is expected of good service. An example is when we blew out a tire on the highway he took over a 40 min drive one way to come help us. Aside from all of the last minute squeeze in repairs he did along the way and his complete honestly and kindness. Thank you guys so much, we now feel safe taking our RV back to California. I went in with a windshield wiper issue. When I brought the vehicle in Mr. Adkins greeted me personally and made me feel welcomed immediately. I was impressed from the get go. Just visited Adkins automotive for the second time to bring my 2010 Nissan Sentra having moved from Illinois 2yrs ago, I would have to say that this place is family oriented and very professional and they are the best in the automotive industry in Florida. Adkins Automotive is fantastic! They took my car in real quick even though they were short 2 people. When what I thought was wrong about the car was checked and turned out to be fine, they asked me about all that was happening. They said it would be a few hours and theyd call me. I live real close by, they gave me a ride home and a ride back to the shop once theyd fixed it. They even had me wait a day to pay them, just to make sure that it was a good fix. Their customer service is wonderful. Their rates are very fair. I would definitely go back to them and recommend them to others.

Went here a while ago to have an AC problem check out on my moms car. After taking a look and giving me an expensive estimate that I could not afford at the time, Adkins charged me $50.00. They gave me no heads up or any warning that a simple estimate would be that big of a fee. Furthermore, he told me he wasnt even sure what the problem was. lol. He said it would be a $200 gamble to try the first thing. Then, if that was not the problem, $600 would be the charge, but then again who knows?Would not recommend taking your car here.

Very pleasant experience! I dropped my car off at 11am to get an A/C evac & recharge with no appointment and Robert said sure no problem we can do it right now he called me an hour later said it was done and charged me a half hour labor and 18oz of Freon. Unbeatable price and service. A/C works perfect! Thanks a lot Adkins will definitely spread the word!

Honest and fairly priced. This company stands by their work and treated us like family. We were a first time customer and after working on our car we had some trouble while traveling; when I called and explained our problem they came to us immediately an hour away from the shop to fix our problem and got us on the road again. I have never gotten such good service anywhere else.

Traveling through Winter Haven from Pennsylvania we needed service and this owner went above and beyond any service station Ive been to as a stranger passing through. Even knowing we might never return he made sure we knew what was wrong and what it might cost to fix it. We are returning to have this honest and thorough mechanic fix our vehicle.

My car literally broke down as I was about to pass by their shop. These guys went above and beyond to help me with my car repair even though it was almost closing time. With my car out of commission, I didnt have any other way home without my car and they even drove me home! I am so thankful for all theyve done for me. The next day, my car was ready to go and now it drives better than it ever did! If youre reading this because youre in need of a good, honest mechanic, then dont look anywhere else. Theyre the best!

Very overwhelmed, they need new staff to keep up with the demand. Payed them around 700 to fix my truck. Engine tune up as well as a new distributor was installed. Truck still had same problem. Took vehicle to a different shop and was told that an air duct was loose. They secured the duct for free, problem was fixed. Let this be a lesson to anyone reading this to get a second or even third opinion when it comes to your vehicle.

The owner is really polite and gets his stuff done asap and supports the fact that if anything fell behind schedule he offered his vehicle to us being that our vehicle needed a lot of work and considering the prices of the parts we needed the labor costs werent anywhere near as bad as 90% of the places in Lakeland itself, this Winter Haven location is top notch and I recommend his services to anyone in need of automotive support.

Out of town for daughters softball tourney. Window went down and wouldnt go back up. In Florida with rains this is not good. They got it fixed pronto. Could not have been nicer. Recommend these guys highly.

Had car towed to Adkins as recommended by AAA after car kept overheating. They were very busy so took a couple days to get car looked at. They gave me a call and let me know the water pump went out and suggested while they were fixing pump to replace timing belt as well. I was concerned about price but was happily surprised being very reasonable and excited to get timing belt out of way also. Got the call it was ready the next afternoon and being my first time at the shop they were extremely friendly and thanked me several times and apologized for the delay which i appreciate in any business. Great customer service, mechanics, and prices. Definitely plan on going back when another issue arises.

Had AAA tow my Ram 1500 after reading Google Reviews and I must say that Robert was very professional and HONEST. My Oil Pressure gauge warning light came on while on a return trip from Miami. He had his mechanic check it out, ran a compression test replaced the pvc valve & hose and told Me I was low 4 quarts of oil. He could have told Me my engine was blown or I needed other stuff to get more $$ out of Me. For 30 years I only trusted 1 shop in Miami, now I have another trusted shop ADKINS AUTOMOTIVE in Winter Haven..

After another repair shop blew my engine up. Robert, his family & staff took my 2014 Ford Escape in. We had to have the engine replaced. Even got a warranty on a used motor.They went WAY ABOVE what even a DEALERSHIP would have done. Im an over the road driver. They took care of my family like they were his own. Our college student son broke down in WinterHaven recently on his way back to visit us in Cape Coral. At 6pm he found Adkins Automobile who diagnosed, as brake problems. Not only did they stay and work until the job was completed, many hours into a Friday night, Robert (the owners) wife drove around getting all the parts, plus they loaned Oliver a truck to go out and get food.
