This store was such a scam that they credited the money back to me in build-a-bear gift cards that they knowingly tried to rip me off for. They advertised sales online for animals & clothing to up too 60 percent off. I called in advanced and spoke to someone to have them hold what I wanted to buy till I got there. When I get there & get what I needed, the staff was not even having the kids to follow from station to station to create their animals which really sucked because thats the whole experience I wanted for my kid. All they did was tell me to take it to get it stuffed. Then they wouldnt even let the kids use the wash & fluff station. It was just a terrible mess from beginning to end.When checking out, the girl was supposed to price match the animals & clothes cost to that of the online prices. She didnt. She only matched 2 clothing items out of all the animals & clothing items purchased. I was irate. But didnt even let my kid know it. I left & then messaged build-a-bear and had to wait for a response and then their response was just as terrible as their store service. Find a different store to go to if you want to do this experience. Its not magical here and the bad employees make it worse than any trip to build-a-bear Ive ever made. And we have went at least one time a year for over 5 years.

As an adult going in to get personal stuffed animals, its nice having the staff be friendly of such things! I appreciate having someone willing to still go through the process and understand that it isnt just children who want to Build a Bear. Its much appreciated!

My kids had a blast, they enjoyed the entire experience they had there. Thebladybwas also friendly and did well with my kids. The only downside is the lady didnt get one of the dolls shut properly so I had to sew it shut when we got home.

Super great:) never got to go to build a bear when i was a kid and they did the heart ceremony and everything for me, which i wasnt expecting bc i am an adult, so it was really awesome. person who helped me was named emily i think? but im very bad with names. either ways, hanes mall build a bear, thank you so much:)

Super disappointed with our experience today. The customer service was terrible. I made a 2 hour drive to get my boys who have birthdays this month, the pay your age birthday bear, the experience was not was I remember as a child. We walked in and first off saw all employees on their phones, no one rushed to greet us, they all waited on someone to get up first. Then once they came over and we explained what we wanted and got over to the stuffing station there was no excitement in that process...the guy who was helping us didnt seem excited to help us or have no personality like most of the employees did when I was younger and never introduced himself. Usually the employees have you hug and snuggle and kiss your bears heart, that was not the case...then after that was done we picked out clothes and felt rushed the entire time. We paid and as we were checking out another family walked in and they also showed no excitement in greeting them. I was planning to bring my daughter in December for her birthday but I think Ill be finding one closer than this store.

I can’t recommend this store or it’s staff enough. The store in our city is closed for renovations. We had promised our special needs 5 year old that we would take her because the website said they were open. When we realized our build a bear was closed we called the main number and they called Winston Salem store to make certain they would be open for us. We arrived with only 17 minutes before the store closed. I was so nervous they wouldn’t let us ship. They were amazing. They encouraged us to take our time they gave her the royal treatment and made certain she had a wonderful first experience. On top of that the company issued us a gift card for our inconvenience. The current sale allowed her to get an extra bear and a shirt with the gift card they gave her. This store and its wonderful employees made forever customers out of us.The ladies had no way of knowing but stuffed animals are our daughter’s love language and have been a key component in her learning to play. These ladies didn’t just make everything right they made it better than we could have imagined. Thank you Build-a-Bear WS for making a beautiful special memory for our sweet girl.

Great place. Plus during the covid pandemic they are one of the few stores following the social distancing guidelines. Limiting the number of people in the store to keep people apart. Definite recommend.

I was there at opening so I was the only there for a brief while. Both employees were very pleasant but when I asked about clothing for a male bear she wasnt very helpful..All in all I had a very enjoyable time building a bear for my Grandson.

My son went Coco for Coca Puffs up in there🤣 Great quality, friendly staff, he got his bear, Dash is his name, he smell like a banana, got a heart beat, birth certificate, traveling bag and cloths to tuck inside! When we go out he got his baby bear and throw it on his back for all to see with a smile on his face! Too cute! 🙏❤☺️

Was in and out, super smooth.Making a wish for your besr, stuffing, the whole process was adorable. Worth every penny.

Three employees were clumped at the front desk while we were waiting at the fluff machine until we got their attention. Employees seem like they didnt want to be there. When asked however they were helpful and knowledgeable.

My only quall was that they forgot to put the tag inside my Pikachu. But I dont plan on losing it and I love build a bear, plus its covid so ima let it slide. They stuffed my Pikachu perfectly and let me opt out of a bag/box when I left. 10 outta 10 would recommend ♥️

The cloths are expensive my daughter and her friend went to have matching bears because they live far away and they went the bear was liek 30 and adding everything else uo it was around 50 dollars and she just got a hart without the voice in it and a shirt and bottoms on it that’s it and plus if they come undone they will not fix it for you after and if you get a house box for the animal it cost liek 10 more dollars way to much for cardboard but my kids when they were younger kept the box for ever I think we still have them you can’t put a price in happiness also how do you wash them lol

The prices are too high for these little stuffed animals or the biggest is overpriced.

We were treated with kindness by all the staff. We were also offered a clean new mask when we walked in.

The staff here is absolutely incredible and perfectly assisted me with getting a stellar birthday gift. They were so fun and full of life. What a great place to give kids great stuffed gifts. This place is definitely one I feel Ill be dragged back to and get some more bear outfits for the little cousins, but I wouldnt mind not one bit!

The ONE person working was pleasant and hustling to serve everyone but we had to wait a long time for help. There were quite a few customers. I would not be shocked if there was some shoplifting going on. It looked like an opportunity for that. It is the week before school starts for our area. THINK,. management!! Kids were spending their money and getting treated. I dread ever going back. I dont really plan to.

Love this place my daughter has her build a bear since she was born

Usually great but I recently had a bad experience due to a bear that’s about a year old coming open and the sound breaking. Was told there was nothing they could do about the sound even though the website says that sounds in stock there. After a rag tag bunchy looking sew up we were done. If this is a new policy as they tried to explain then I won’t be purchasing anything else here. Only reason to pay that much for stuffed animals is the service. If that’s gone then hello amazon lol

Associates need to assist customers in the order that those customers are in line. If one family is making two separate transactions, don’t skip over one when a new line opens up for a bear to get stuffed. Especially after you already took another customer in front of them that wasn’t even in the line to begin with. Pull in order from the line that is already formed. Your customer service was piss poor from the time we walked in up until the time we left. Do better.

Staff were polite. One staff member in particular took the time to explain everything because this was my first time. I ended up getting the 2 for $35 special with no other extras because it is too pricey I think.

Great spot for a kids birthday party, an interactive gift with your child, and so many popular characters that you can build. They also have plenty of accessories for you to customize your plush. Can be very expensive.

The lady was really nice. First time being here got my 2 year old this teddy so she can grow up with it. Hopefully lol.

I Love coming to our Build A Bear in Winston Salem N.C. The staff members are AWSOME here..Theyre Great at other locations but it just makes you feel at home when you walk in and they call you by name!!! AAA+++

The only complaint I have is that there was a long line and it literally felt like an oven in there. My daughter was very happy thouugh!

My girls really enjoyed making their own animals, however it was only affordable because we had gift cards. So expensive to get an animal & outfit for each of them, not something we could do very often.

I give credit to the designers of the actual stores for they seemed to be child magnets either way if your child likes Teddy bears or not they want to go win and once in it is hard to tell a kid that they cannot have a Teddy bear so you end up buying a kind of overpriced Teddy bear there is a Cool manufacturing aspect about it and you might be able to get interests from your child to get into engineering by looking at how the bear is made other than that I think you might be better off buying online or just trying to distract your kid from the build a bear workshop but what sucks about the hanes Mall location is that if you do try to
