I was able to find my Eagle Rare here when nobody else had it. They confirmed it was available responding to my e-mail request within a few hours and offered to hold it by the registers for me. Very impressed!

Not sure if it was the owner or the front desk clerk, but he was pretty arrogant as I simply asked if they had gotten in any Stagg Jr bourbon recently. He laughed at me thinking I was crazy and told me and I quote my fingers need to do the walking. He told me they come out in november, even though I know that isnt true at all, January/june are when they are released. He asserted anyway. Not to my surprise i walked away with two of the newest releases of Stagg Jr in my hand from a different store at retail not 2 hours later!! They had literally gotten their shipment in that day. A shame because I wouldve patronized this store well had they not been so arrogant.

Been coming here since I moved to Delaware in 1997. They are always friendly and helpful with a great selection at very reasonable prices.

They have a very wide selection of bourbons, wine and scotches for such a small establishment. I found some hard to find bottles here and will definitely go back when in the area.

This place has an excellent variety of alcohol - specifically their craft beer is both diverse and abundant in selection. But its not the well stocked shelves that made my store experience exceptionally amazing; it was the cashier, Amanda who delivered the wow factor with her above and beyond service by delivering quick, efficient, and impressive customer orientated assistance.  There were several employees that were working the floor on that particular day but this young lady stood out amongst the rest with a delightful smile, a positive demeanor, and an outgoing attitude to match.  She went out of her way to make sure that I was satisfied with every aspect of my transaction before I left that store.  Not only was Amanda knowledgeable in the brews and spirits sold at the this establishment, but Id venture to say, she is probably the most friendliest customer service representative I have ever come across in a retail establishment.  Go see Amanda at Avenue Wine and Spirits if you need help picking out the perfect party drink. I was in the market for a birthday gift for an acquaintance of mine and she gave me her professional opinion as well as several other helpful recommendations which led me to a bottle of blush wine that ended up being the hit of the party and the birthday girls new favorite brand of wine.  Avenue Wine and Spirits was a random liquor store I chose to stop in the other day but thanks to Amanda I will be a happy frequent flyer and an enthusiastic return customer.  Keep up the great work!

I was in your store on Tuesday and the register started to not work. The massive temper tantrum the owner had behind the desk and the horrific mistreatment of the guy working the register for a problem that wasn’t his fault I’ll never support your business again.

Avenue Wines is a neighborhood store with an excellent selection of scotches, a knowledgeable staff, nice little dog mascot, and knows the history of the 40 acres community.
