I was on the hunt for a specific seasonal item and I went to 5 different King Soopers and then decided to call rather than keep driving. I called 5 different King Soopers and 1 out of the 5 had what I was looking for. Race is who helped me and he went above and beyond. He was the most pleasant to speak to, didn’t make me feel like I was a bother and really made a customer very happy! I hope he’s recognized for his awesome customer service!
This is literally the BEST click list. Its always right, super friendly, and grab the special requests. A huge help!! I wont click list anywhere else!
This store is disgusting. I’ve always hated shopping here. Kroger should shut it down and save themselves the money. Nothing is ever stocked and 95% of the staff is rude.
I shop here a few times a week and I am always impressed by the employees. They are consistently friendly and helpful. In my most recent visit, multiple staff members in different departments went out if their way to make my day easier without me having to ask. Much appreciated.
I like the store because it’s close to the house and although it’s a little dated inside, I can still find everything I need. The staff works very hard, I’ve got to know a few of them in passing. Ian, the clerk that I had, was helping working with me and my paper coupons and as well as my digital coupon for Regular Coors beer, 24 Pk. He was also courteous to ask me if I found everything and I’m glad, because I still need to buy some regular cut cord wood that was located outside. I’d recommend a stop at this location employees are very friendly!
Absolutely love this place. Besides Costco this is the only King Soopers I will go to. They are always so friendly and actually have food on the shelves.
I see comments lamenting the age of this store. Personally, I find that part of the charm.
I had to swing by the customer service desk. I stood there for 15 minutes before anyone even approached me (while a lengthy line was building). When the older woman attendant finally came out of the back, she was rude and didn’t end up helping me at all, but she did make me wait an additional 10 minutes before she told me she couldn’t help.25 minutes total for absolutely no help at all. Great.
Why this location exist is beyond my comprehesion. Everyone knows all of these positive reviews are B.S. we need to band together as a community to get this Kroger location shut-down, so we can have a clean quality grocery store to shop in. The deli has been a disaster here for the last 7 years I have been shopping here, the staff is rude in the entire store, you can tell they do not want to work in this location. The selection is hit or miss, vast inconsistency in stock ordering. Dont think Ive ever seen a manager there, and if I did they were hiding somewhere in the isles. The parking lot is like something from a third world country, youll need an alignment every-time if you dont pay mind to the swimming pool pot holes in the lot. HEY KROGER! PLEASE LEAVE THIS SHOPPING CENTER, YOUR STORES ARE UNSANITARY!
The staff is beyond rude. You would think they were being forced to work there the way they make it so obvious that they are unhappy working there. Most of the times the checkers dont even respond when you say hello or how are you? Although on my most recent trip the checker, Stephanie, was so rude I almost wish she hadnt spoken to me. That was officially my last trip to a King Soopers. Youre not the only place to buy groceries, ya know!
Smaller Kings, convenience for in and out of needed. Staff have always seem to be helpful.
We use to go into this King Sooper very other day prior to the pandemic. Since the pandemic they are not good about wearing mask the proper way with it over their nose and their mouth. The bakery and the meat department are seen with their mask being warn with it below the nose. It has been pointed out to the store manager and she says she will take care of it but even though I hardly go to this king sooper any more, the few times I have been in the mask are still not over their nose.
Tall old man with stringy shoulder length hair got snippy with me when he thought I was waiting in his line though his light was off. He pointed at his light and said he’s not open and I said I know. Then he muttered snippy remarks to himself about how I shouldn’t be standing there. He went at got a lottery ticket and walked off. He should get a talking to about customer service.1/25 around 10:10am. Near register 15
The employees by the atm seem to be in your face when you go to the atm, appear to be trying to look over your shoulder and give off an extra unfriendly experience, especially the short blond hair kid whos name I dont know, this store made me feel like I had to position myself between the employee and the atm screen. As someone who has worked at a grocery store for years I felt the way I was treated as a paying customer here was unacceptable
Crowded store, with no social distancing. rude customers and even more rude staff members. Ordering groceries for parking lot pick up isnt much of a service, but what do you expect from entitled teenagers who dont know how to differentiate between romaine lettuce or kale.. Im going to just keep on ordering through Amazon from now on.
I guess mask mandates only apply to customers here. I was just here this morning at 7:30 and two employees were having a conversation by the self checkout, the female had her mask pulled completely down while talking up a storm. She was also standing where I had to go to exit and didnt feel the need to distance herself or pull her mask up.
I love king soopers. Good quality stuff at great prices. But I have come to expect that from a kroger brand.
Florist department is exceptional! If youre lucky enough to get Rhonda, you will leave with flowers that will have everyone complimenting them. Shes made me flower arrangements on happy and sad occasions with such grace and kindness. Couldnt be happier.
They still have promotional displays blocking the aisles during COVID times. Were supposed to be distancing 6 feet for everyones safety, which is impossible in aisles of course. The least they could do is remove the extra displays to help us out. The clueless manager apparently thinks that making a few extra bucks is more important than helping reduce the spread of disease. Piece of garbage.Items are consistently mislabeled or in the wrong place. It can be downright impossible to figure out what something costs, or where something is, even with the staffs help. Disorganized store. The employees are very good
Everyone was really nice and the store was really well kept. I was going there on a break and found exactly what I needed so I could leave quickly. I also loved all the seasonal decorations! They always make you feel more welcome. Five stars!!!
Great staff and products but wish layout of store was different or not as cramped.
Old, very small store which cannot be renovated due to asbestos. Always super crowded due to too much new housing being built in area. Many items they did carry have been discontinued so they had room to sell alcohol.
Easter Sunday 2021, 6:00 a.m. Nothing in the bakery to buy except old, day old who know how old the items were. The main gripe, THE MEAT DEPT SMELLS LIKE ROTTEN MEAT. How does anyone want t but meat from a rotten smelling meat dept? Hey management......Smell of rotten meat UNACCCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!
Customer service people could care less about the customers. Their parking lot is a dangerous mess! Most of it is a one way street but none of the streets are marked. Im surprised there is not an accident every day or there might be I dont know. I almost got in an accident with someone because of this. I let the manager know and she could care less and it wasnt her problem.I really dont want to shop in a store that makes billions of dollars and cant paint arrows on their parking lot to keep their customer safe!
Rose,Tonight I was in your store and was frantically looking for infant cold medicine. Before I say more, we received her negative covid test earlier today. Needless to say, this first time momma has been stressed. Reeling off of no sleep and my poor baby girl having her first cold, you swept in and I saw a level of humanity that was so touching. You first told me where to find infant cold medicine on sale but then showed up in the asile and helped me look through the sale bins. You had such a “hey, everything is gonna be ok. We got this.” attitude. It was more comforting and helpful to me in so many ways, you will never fully know. All I can say is Thank you. I will pay your kindness forward.
Ive been shopping here for over 8 years, and have seen many great employees come and go. Almost all of my customer service experiences have been good, but one of the bad ones I had was so bad, it still makes me nervous go to here. The amazing awesome store manager at the time of the event named Bonnie outdid herself on customer service (I miss you Bonnie) and I wish she was still the store manager I would probably feel more comfortable shopping here. I tried to return some groceries I had issues with (bad frozen pizza, other random groceries I took a chance on and did not like) and you would think I tried to bring in garbage from the street to return the way I was treated. It was even more insulting since I always shopped here, bought a lot of groceries, and returned the occasional item. The person at the customer desk was an older man named Tom, and he grilled me about every single item I tried to return in extensive detail. I was told by another clerk, he and two other employees including a manager went in the back and had a discussion about me and I did see all 3 of them go in the back room, I just did not know they were talking about me. It was so bad, by the time I left the store I was in tears. My mother who was with me insisted I go back in the store and ask for his name. Bonnie, the store manager was so great and assured me that that behavior was totally unacceptable and insisted I take a gift card for my troubles (one I didnt want because I was upset as how I was treated, not because I wanted compensation). The experience was so bad for me (even though Bonnie did all she could) its been several years later and I still dont feel comfortable returning anything to this store. Bonnie has changed stores much to my dismay, as I would feel much more comfortable with her there. As I dont know the store manager now, I can only hope he wouldnt let anyone get away with that kind of behavior either. I recently saw Tom at another King soopers location. I was kind of appalled that he still worked there. I gave 3 stars instead of 1 star because of all the positive experiences I have had here since.
DO NOT use the PICK UP SERVICE! Go inside; it will cause you less stress and get the items that you actually want. Using their pick up service in this time of COVID-19 was not worth it at all. They gave me duplicate items and other items that I did not want. I asked for small cans of beans and got these GIANT cans I will NEVER eat and they would not let me return them. W T H ! I also was told that they did not have certain items that I wanted and yet when I was forced to go inside..... they were sitting right there on the shelf..... WOW....... are you just LAZY to look for the item to help YOUR CUSTOMERS???? I wanted to use this service because of my age I did not want to go inside. BIG MISTAKE! This service is NOT managed correctly. DO NOT USE IT! Take your chances with this virus and go inside.
Hunter bagged my groceries and was so friendly! Was down and he just made my day! Thanks hunter!
Its a grocery store
This King Soopers is the last one in the area to not have received any sort of update.. kinda dirty. But still a king Soopers. Friendly helpful staff, great local produce. Needs a stronger wifi signal here for the app..
My favorite store! Its in our neighborhood, it has organic and natural food which we prefer. And its a good size, not huge superstore where you lose time walking and walking. I know it well and try to shop there because it carries like 80% of the things we buy for our family
They have bad attitude and aren’t helpful
I love this kings! I know a few workers there that have been there for years I just love them! Dorris is #1, she always has a smile and a joke to tell ya. Shes very helpful and knows everything. Then theres Scott he is #1 too hes way cool just loves the kids Ive known him for 10 years always helps me no matter what he is doing, he has literally went out of his way a couple times. Then theres Rose shes just the sweetest! Bonnie is awesome fast at her job shes always on it. Then theres big John hes great sometimes quiet but once you get him to talk pretty cool great at his job pretty serious dude. You cant miss Brent. Very serious with a friendly face. Fast pace worker always on it. There is a lot more people there that are awesome I just dont know them well yet. I go to kings almost every day sometimes 2 times a day. I hope they stay working there for a long time to come, I dont know what Id do if they werent there any longer. Thanks kings for being a great neighborhood grocery store!!! Thank you to all the people I named for always making my visit a pleasant one! 👑💖
I just want to say THANK YOU!For all you do❤. Its my home away from home. I dont like the fact that they dont have wifi that really sucks. But anyway I & my family keeps you all in our prayers. Shout out to Rhonds god bless her & family . Shes is beautiful inside & out.Once again THANK YOU❣🙏
Good service, but man is the selection subpar and the look dated. The floor over by the deli and seafood is super pitched and always serves as a reminder that its not quite up to spec. While theres been a few facelifts in their frozen and other aisles in the last couple years, place still needs major work to feel like its not 1999.Hopefully corporate can help this location get some more renovations, because staff is always great.
I come here a lot out of convenience. Store is a bit older and the meat and produce departments could use a better selection. Staff is good. The checkout queues are rarely long.
Love this Kings. Very helpful. Always give the 1/2 price even if you dont buy 5 like Safeway. Staff is always great too!
Total bull they cant give changeThey must be taking in big money with this scam. I will be shopping Safeway from now on.
Yea I went there late at night and this guy was stocking the shelves and I was all, Do you have any paper plates? And he was all, Yea. And I was all, Alright cool. And he was all, Yea, whatever. And I was all, Dude, Ill just go to Safeway, and spend my money there. And he was all, No you wont. And I was like, Why not? And he was all, Cause we got them on sale here. And I was all, Damn it!!!! Five stars
I just want to say i had an amazing experience at this King Soopers. And it was because of this one young man that did my check out. He was beyond nice and friendly, and conversations seem to come easy for him. Its was the best conversation i have had while checking out!. Thank you Trevor T!! You made my whole evening just by your contagious smile and easy to get along with personality. And it seemed as the customers before and after me loved you too!! Very unique young man. Most definitely motivated individual. Was shocked to learn he only bags when he should be communicating with guests at all times. He made the differance!. Thanks again Trevor T i hope to see you on my next trip to kings and good luck at med school!
Not my favorite King Soopers location but its convenient if you live nearby. I use to come here because it use to be 24 hours, but they have since taken that away starting in 2016. Its a much smaller grocery store in comparison to its chain store on 80th, not nearly as organized but the staff is super friendly.
King Soopers is my favorite of the grocery chains, but this store is pretty depressing. This store is almost right across the street from me and would be super convenient, but their selection is usually pretty limited and their produce is usually not very good. I generally just drive to the King Soopers further down Wadsworth. I know most of our neighbors do the same.I think this might be cyclical, so its kind of unfair of me to downgrade them. Their selection is terrible so no one shops there. No one shops there, so the food spoils too quickly and their supply chain has to limit the selection. The produce section is small because of spoilage, because everyone just goes to other stores to buy produce. Its a problem. I wish they would open a bigger location near Vasa across the street. I think this is one situation where demand would follow supply.
Personally I would like to THANK Rhonda & Jo in the floral department for going above and beyond with making the most beautiful bouquet of roses for my moms birthday! Their customer service and attention to detail in making a special arrangement is so much appreciated. Again, thank you Rhonda and Jo for your great service!
Trevor, young kid with glasses who pushes carts in the lot. YES! Nearly scared the crud out of me, but just randomly came up and started helping me load my groceries into my car when I was plenty capable. ❤
Confirmed this location HAS EGGS in the back and are CHOOSING not to stock the shelves. I watched an employee offer a friend some eggs he had in the back and when another woman asked he quickly ran back and grabbed her one too...... ILLEGAL!!!!!!!4.06.20 cant walk around bc the store is so tight and congested omgon top of the king soopers employees practicing ZERO social distancing
I like this store. It is not too big and it is not too small. We are gluten free (celiac) and are able to do a whole weeks shopping and planning without any difficulties. Sometimes still go to larger stores for increased variety, but not very often.
I like food. And they have it. So thats good! Im sad theyre not 24 hours anymore. Also that they dont have any full serve registers open after 9 or 10 pm. I get most people go to the self serve now, but some of us have places to be, you know? Even just 1 would be great.
This is my local grocery store and by no means is it bad. My rating is based off of a few things Im comparing to other locations Ive been to. Its run down a bit - its an older store and is in need of a remodel. Due to this it seems like the selection of products doesnt compare to a few other Kings Ive been to. I understand there is size constraints there, but I think the space could be used a lot better with a remodel and some upgrades. When Ive had to deal with the staff they have always been friendly and helpful, no issues on that front either. Hey Corporate - put this store on the list for a remodel please!
Always clean, always friendly staff. Great selections, fresh, yummy produce from the U.S.A! My favorite store to go to. They always have SOMETHING I can use on sale, and my digital coupons save me money too.
Stayed in the lot a couple different times with no problems then when I was helping a homeless lady with her car the cops were called by king soopers and four of them showed up ! Wow!! So much for helping people ? This is the problem with people now days, No empathy!!
This is a smaller King Soopers than the others in the area so it doesnt carry as many organics or specialty items but its always clean and the staff is great - especially the checkers are really friendly and attentive. One thing to know is that its very busy around lunch time & right after school because of the local high school.
This store is not requiring masks during COVID and Ive seen many people coming in without masks. I will be shopping elsewhere until masks are mandatory.
This place is close to my residence & clerks have always been nice & helpful. But parking lot needs to be repaved. Ive tripped & fallen twice & lucky I didnt have any major injuries.
Great and easy go to grocery store
This Kings is pretty old and pretty small. Unfortunately since Safeway closed across the street, if you dont come in the morning or near closing hours its pretty much hell to get around in. The Starbucks is nice, and the people who work in the deli, bakery, and flower department are always so sweet and are able to help. Ive only had 1 negative experience with a cashier and she appeared to be some rude teenage girl. I havent seen her since though.
No frills. Customers packed in like Sardines during most hours. So many customers that at times there are no carts to be found, even in the parking lot. The staff usually just friendly enough not to upset the customers and will look at you like youre speaking Swahili if you ask for an ingredient that isnt found in an elementary school cafeteria. I just chalk that up to how overwhelmingly busy this grocer always seems to be. This place gets the job done for in and out, quick as you like shopping.
I love this store. The same workers have kept it running smooth for the past 5-10 years. Theyre all friendly and helpful. It is a clean store with sale prices all the time.
I came here and, to my delight, this building was filled with food. Some of the things I was looking for too. Weird. Will come back again in the near future. Had no idea such a place existed.
The location of the King Soopers is excellent. Its busy during the normal times when supermarkets are usually busiest, after work. This store is in desperate need of a facelift. The flooring, walls, ceiling, everything. I often pass up this King Soopers just to go to the one off of 80th because its nicer and usually have a better shopping experience.
Honestly, I think this King Soopers is really convenient and quick and cheap if you need to go buy something really fast. Great store!
An employee snapped her fingers at me (as though I were an animal) to direct me to a checkout lane. Wow.
Old, kinda messy/poorly stocked, but its still the best prices - would be nice if Kings joined the 20th century and put cell phone repeaters in the building considering the fortification of the building... at least I know Id be pretty safe if a bomb went off nearby...
Staff is wonderful and very knowledgeable about product locations
Store #55 is the best! Doris is the most compassionate and attentive cashier! The pharmacy rocks! Thank you
Great: Products, prices, people, and location.Cons: Could use a remodel. Theyve made some upgrades over the years, but the store as a whole just feels kind of old compared to the others in the area. Still, that doesnt detract much from the experience. The store is also a little more cramped than others, but its rarely busy enough that that matters.
Very old, very little selection, not a friendly pharmacy, some people working there are not friendly in the least. Some of the pictures that it shows on Google are not even of this store. First, the good (what little there is), the guys in the meat department are extremely helpful and one gentleman that usually wears a hat with tats on his head is great and willing to help. One of the guys that I usually see stock is also extremely helpful. Some of the girls at the help desk...again great. Now the bad. One guy in the deli actually got upset when I asked him to cut some lunch meat. Then got mad when I told him he didnt ask how I wanted it cut which is what all delis do. The manager just kind of shrugged it off when I told him. The pharmacy I called in to refill meds and it said they would contact the doctor. I went in and they said they never faxed it. Not apologetic or anything. Just said they would try to fax it in a few days. Very rude. Then there are 2 women that work the self checkout. Again....not helpful in the least bit. One just stand there in peoples way and wont move no matter what. The last thing is that this store is the EXACT same as it was in the early 80s and has very little selection in pretty much all departments.
Worst grocery store Ive ever been too. Very poor selection of organic, dairy free, & all natural. This chain is owned by Kroger and Kroger is far better than this place.
Mary in the bakery is a sweetheart! I was waiting outside with my dogs in the heat today and she brought them a big bowl of water ❤️❤️❤️ Such a kind soul!! I shop here EVERYDAY! I will continue to do so!! We spend around 800$+ a month on food here. Never had any issues like Walmart...Definitely one of my favorite stores! They have a midwestern hospitality that makes you feel right at home:)) thank you guys so much and a big shout out for Mary!! Such a doll!!!!
Nice store. Older location, so its not as large as newer ones but they update it periodically and when I am grocery shopping I prefer a smaller grocery-only store rather than a Super Target or similar store.
I grew up in the neighborhood and I my family always shopped here I never gave much thought to it. Flash forward 15 years and I realized that its the oldest smallest dirtiest kings in town. >.>Solution!!! There is a perfectly decent Safeway across the intersection with comparable prices and with better meat, veggie and fruit sections. Its newer has a better atmosphere and is far less likely to be crowded....because most people are over at kings lol. The only con is that they are open 6-11 instead of 24/7
Decent grocery store. Not great, but not terrible. We go for the convenience of living close by, but usually shop at different stores when we have the chance.
Desperately needs a face lift. Produce is well stocked. The butcher counter could use some help. Staff is great. The drive to the store at 80th and Wadsworth is worth it.
Bought a 3 lb package of Bar S wieners sign read $2.99.Happen to be looking at the receipt the next day for a different item when I noticed that I was charged $ 10.99 .I grew up in the grocery business, and Bar S has been a low end football item for years. To make a long story short When I went back theysaid the price is now marked $10.99 & refused to do anything more.No one in town tries to get more than $1.Per lb.for Bar S bologna or hot dogs and theyre trying to get $3.66 plus!I left them my card, now if I can only figure how to get them out of my phone!!!
This grocery store is mostly ok, but since the new King Soopers opened near Candelas, its really gone downhill. I fully understand that having a large new store nearby the selection might conflict with the needs of both stores, but its ridiculous. I couldnt find lettuce at this store. Lettuce. Not even a choice of lettuce. Zero lettuce. Kind of a staple. I had to buy prepackaged lettuce for my blts Im planning on having tonight. I dont expect Whole Foods level of choices of lettuce, but they had none and thats just not acceptable.
Good deals, great staff, but their cell and wifi sucks so load up your digital coupons before you get there.
The manager who’s name is Marcus actually stayed with his arms folded BS ing in with an employee, while he watched me bag my own groceries. Kroger’s standards get lower and lower consistently.
Nice and clean. Need a few more items in stock.
There seems to be a new management at this location and it has made a world of difference. I used to dread going to this store because everyone was so rude and unpleasant. But now it is much better. Today I had such a positive experience with the manager Steve, that I am happy this King Soopers is my home store!
Always good deals but this store felt empty. A lot of wasted space or not enough stock
I found the produce section to be a little bit more complete than the other King Soopers.
This store is way old and out of date. The layout is poor and causes people to run into each other all the time. Also poor selection of organic and other healthy options. I avoid it at all costs. King Soopers appears to have forgotten this store, while it desperately needs updating.
Went to pick up a few things. Great help at the deli. In and out 15 minutes.
Good customer service but store is run down could use an update
Good small store. Missing some items and a smaller selection.
Not a bad king soopers, but i didnt like the layout. People were very friendly though
Best place to get all your groceries. Plus very friendly people to help with your every needs.
While one of their smaller stores, its been a pleasure to shop there.
I absolutely love this King Soopers. Have been shopping here since 2001
The staff is always so helpful and friendly.
Good store but way outdated. Needs renovation badly.
Nikki was really helpful, I was so thankful that she opened a checkout in the evening when I had a full cart. (Would have taken too long at self checkout)
Wait was ridiculous, twenty minutes. Three people behind counter, eight customers waiting two being served. Only one employee seemed to be doing his job. One was waiting for him to finish using the slicer then waiting again to use the scale and ther was another only ten steps away. Not making wise desicions with time management. The third was doing dishes mentioning how she feels bad leaving with more to do.
So i went in today and while visit was not out of the usual when the transaction was concluded i put receipt and change in my pocket or so i thought but when i got to the gas station i reached for the change and it wasnt there i had the receipt and the coins just not the bills so i thought maybe i fumbled them at the register so called and asked them to check the lane i was at and with the cashier who was john c on my receipt before i could fully explain the situation the so called head clerk on duty marcus cuts me off to say that no money had been turned in before i could tell him which clerk it was or anything. So i then asked if he could check the lane i was in that maybe it was still on the floor. Again not expecting much but at the same time dont sit there sucking your teeth while whispering to the person next to you. Actualy go look you lazy no good p.o s. Think about how you treat people before acting. Great customer service skills i can see why hes the head cashier.
Good store
Im always good there. They cashed my check one time when no one else wanted to or hassled me for 6 forms of ID
Smaller king soopers. Pretty good selection, kept pretty clean.
Friendly staff good selection of products. I really enjoy shopping here.
Great smaller King Soopers. Great for getting in and out quickly.
Best customer service ever! BUt Produce and meat selection smaller than most king shoppers and the pharmacy here is THE WORST!
