Redford car repair has some of the best mechanics I have ever seen. The manger and customer service is excellent. They are experience in all areas. I will always be a loyal customer of theirs.

Service was good. But had worn part that they made show up when they did payed work. Now i got to spend more for repair for something i could have got more miles out of. Had to return second time to get better front alignment. Wheel was off and was not quite rite. Have better alignment now and straight wheel thanks guys. Sorry for bitchen but should not have to come back a second time.

Lets just say I will never return, I drop off my work van at 1:00, called and ask before I drop it off could they install front brakes and rotors the same day . Now this is my work van, meaning if its down so is my income. Long story short I ended up picking my van up at 4:30 when they decided to tell me the work would not be complete until the next day . . . Wait I called before I got there Right ✅ THANKS FOR WASTING MY TIME

Excellent auto repair-had an issue with a heat shield that car dealer could only replace part and not just repair it. Dealer suggested I look for an auto repair business that could repair the part to save me money. Redford has welder who was able to make the repair for far less than a replacement part. Car dealer also recommended new brakes which Redford did at a very competitive price.Special thanks to Jay and Joe at Redford- They are very professional, helpful and courteous. Would definitely recommend. Just had the work done so cannot directly comment on the quality of the work, but will follow up later. They did provide a 1 year warranty on the parts.

This place was magical. As soon I as I walked in I knew this would be the mechanic shop I am going to be using for the rest of my life. My experience began with Jay at the front desk. He was a HUGE help compared to other mechanics I had to seek out before. They performed their service on my car in a very timely manner and I appreciated Jay for explaining all of the details that would be happening to my car-- with price of course. They were very thorough and did an amazing job. The staff already feels like family, I am even considering inviting them to my sons wedding. Do not even get me started on the fish tank in the waiting room. Needless to say I owe Redford Auto Repair my life.

Horrible service they had my vehicle a week call them to see if my vehicle was done they still never even looked at it after they told me every day for 8 days oh it will be tomorrow always something came out that they couldnt get it done 3 of the times I was told the mechanic just didnt show up for work felt a little uneasy about that and they never called me at all the whole time I had to call them to be told not today tomorrow well on the 8th day of them having my car never calling me, oh ones I was told they would call me back that didnt happen anyway on the 8th day I was told the mechanic didnt come in again and it would be tomorrow I told them dont youch my car and I went and got my car they didnt even apologize for no sympathy no nothing and I was without my car for 8 days if I could give this place zero Stars I would this place is horrible I wish I would have read the reviews before I took my car there extremely unprofessional

I took my car here to get it looked at and fixed they charged my $1500 and when I picked it up I was driving home and the wheel almost fell off. Im pregnant and this is unacceptable. They said they did all this work to my car but the breaks are still making noises as well as something else. They replaced a part that was already done. I have brought my car back 3x and ill be bringing it back again. If nothing is fixed correctly I will be taking further action. This place is bad business.

I had been having major issues with my Nissan, took my SUV to them. Took a couple days for them to check it, but once they did, they did a excellent job of finding the issues and repairing the Nissian. Now my old car runs like it was brand new off the lot thanks to them.

Bottom line, take your car elsewhere.Pro- they did actually fix the problem I came in for which was my “escoff” light wouldn’t go off and the car was driving weird. The mechanic said the 4x4 was stuck and that’s why it was doing that. They also did a full diagnostic, which told me about other issues I had with the car. Needed new tires and replace the transmission pan.Cons- They told me they could diagnose my car in 2 hours, which turned into a day and a half. When I didn’t get my car back in time, and MOSTLY to secure the sell, the guy offered to reimburse me for the Uber I had to take to work because it took them longer to get to my car. Nice gesture, but they didn’t actually do it. When I came in, he gave me a lame excuse that they didn’t have any cash on them. They charged more than the price quoted. Also, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, I had to take my car to ANOTHER SHOP because my sway bar link was not secured after they completed the job. I tried to give Redford Auto the opportunity to fix it, and they told me I would have to leave my car there for an undetermined time. Given their history of keeping my car for a whole day for a 2 hour job previously, I declined and drove it down the street to VIP Auto where I was able to get my car diagnosed, fixed and out the door within 2 hours. As promised!It’s all about customer service for me. I wouldn’t go back to Redford Auto in Westland.

Horrible service and found out that they charged me double of what any other shop would have costed pathetic to rip people off On top of the fact they lied to me about numerous things never again will I go back and if u want honest people these guys arent the ones to trust !

My wifes truck broke done near the shop so i figured Id give them a try. Best decision I made. Very nice people with excellent customer service. I asked them to look over the truck to see if anything else needed attention. I already had a list from the dealer but they didnt even want to see it. Told me they will look for themselves. The guys came back with the exact same list. Very solid people. Very trustworthy. I will be going to them regularly now for all of my vehicle repairs. And the prices are very reasonable.

They repaired my auto which continued to stop mainly at a light, but never knew when. Drove my son home while they worked on the car. Changed spark plugs, but asked me first if I wanted it done. You can rely on them.

I went to get an oil change for my truck (2012 Ford Escape). Everything was great, UNTIL one of the gentlemen informed me that I had a massive oil leak. Now, I already know that 1) I just got the truck about 2-3 months prior and I havent had a SINGLE issue with it, 2) There were NO LEAKS ANYWHERE I parked (not at work, home, or even in their parking lot), and 3) NO oil light cut on or evidence that oil was spewing anywhere. To make matters worse, he told me that his tech was hit by it. A few moments later, the ONLY tech who was there, came walking through the door to grab something...COMPLETELY CLEAN. I already knew that I would never return as a customer, but I was handed the bill of the part I needed and that was over $300. I nodded and quietly left. This story was earlier this year. Winter, spring, now summer...I am yet to see this massive oil leak. I miss Joe a lot (the guy who was there prior to the successor) and he was great. I could careless if they were the only shop in the state open: I would rather let my car rot than to have them even glance at my vehicle.

I was too far from home to jack up my truck so stopped at the other location, your truck is to heavy for my lift was told this location has a bay open that can handle my truck and would be able to help right away, not the case had to wait close to 3 hours to be overcharged for a brake line. These guys just dont care very much about time it takes to do things, I witness them do a oil change and Tire rotation took good 45 minsThey take $5 off if you show them the review you give.

Wow, dont ever come here if you want to be treated with any kind of professionalism or courtesy. I brought my car to get a quote on repairs and George was condescending and rude and outright yelled at me over the phone. Its never ok to treat customers that way. Not ever. Not to mention the quote they gave me was through the roof! Taking my car somewhere else. If you want a good experience, avoid this place.

Used them frequently! I like that they will install parts for you which makes it even cheaper. They offer great discounts for returning customers and warranties on their work! I would definitely recommend the Redford Auto in Westland. They are consistently almost half the price of Firestone.

I took my car in to have a noise and breaks checked after they had been done and my break lights were out. I was called and told nothing was wrong with the breaks. They said that it could be the differential and that could give me the feeling of shuttering when breaking. We went on a ride so I could show him the sound or feeling in breaks. I really appreciate that they took the extra time with me. My break lights are out and they told me that they would change them for me for free since I am a returning Customer. I feel I have found a very trustworthy company especially being a lady. Thank you!

Terrible! I went to get a coolant leak fixed and was charged $1,000 AFTER they cut me a deal by taking off most of the labor charges. Now, a month later, Im having even more serious problems with my engine and I suspect it was caused by them. Also, everyone Ive talked to that has gone there has experienced the same thing! Theyre taking advantage of their customers to try to make a quick buck when they could be doing things the right way and actually be able to keep customers.

Came in for an inspection on my vehicle after seeing a flyer in the mail and noticing it from driving by. Now my car had a few things to check out and the guy was cool and helped me an hour before closing and I said I would be fine leaving it over night. Got a text the next morning which was great and the price was hat unexpected from a shop. Mostly parts and labor wasnt too much. I just couldnt afford that at the moment. My only complaint is the advertisement of free inspections on the sign as well as the flyer. They have to make money I understand, but just put an asterisk stating pricing on your materials. As lots of people shop around for the best price this would help consumers make a more informed and budget conscious decision.

Had a cracked rim on my front passenger side, they swapped it out and transferred my tire sensor to the replacement rim. It was done during busy hours and i still got my vehicle back in good time and for a good price! Love the service, sad that I moved farther away, now I have to drive 45min here just for reliable repairs!

Ive been here twice for repairs and it was fairly priced and fast both times. One time they set me up with a fairly priced tow job too. Good hours for pickup and drop off, although I always wish for later hours or maybe a key drop off box.

Redford Auto Repair is super friendly and honest! I took a used car there for a full inspection before I bought it and they did a fantastic job fully testing and showing me the results. All of this took less than a 1/2 hour from start to finish! This is one place that deserves your business, I was truly impressed.

By and far the least respectful and likewise least professional auto repair experiences I have had the displeasure of enduring.Walked in to a family holding a full blown shouting match with the counter, to which I give the counter the benefit of the doubt that hes dealing with unruly customers. Unfortunately, I found out that was not the case and that the attitude lies on the opposite side of the cash register:My describing the issue was met with condescention and dismissive rebukes, especially after having mentioned that Redford was the last place to service the vehicle. The man at the counter refused to look at the parts, or even a photo, or so much as discuss how improper assembly lead to one side of my vehicle having an issue yet the other being the same as before it was reassembled at Redford.The issue is clear cut mis-assembly when one side is loose and blown out but the other is as fresh as the day it was installed 25+yrs ago.Would you leave your vehicle with someone who acts as though they dont have the time to spare for you?Its a huge red flag when you, as a returning customer, try to discuss an issue created by the shop only to be treated as an idiot who couldnt possibly have knowledge on automobiles.

Went to Firestone and was told to come back in the morning( wasnt very friendly either) so I Googled the nearest auto shop. Called and George answered, told me i can come in right away. I went there, they check my truck out...... told me what needed to be done and did it as I sat in the lobby keeping George company☺..... all of the staff that I came into contact with were extremely friendly. George made sure I understood what was going on and he addressed all of my concerns, answer every question I had LOL I left there with my truck running like new☺ oh and I have a warranty on everything makes it even sweeter😉 I highly recommend this place oh, it was a good experience for..... Dont go here!!! Spent just shy of $1,500 and my car is worse off than before. I got new tires, a battery, and a starter. They said they replaced a tie rod end but charged me for some lateral bar that Ive never heard of. Checked my tie rod ends and neither are new and one is actually leaking grease. I took my car back several times complaining of issues but all the shop workers did was fight amongst themselves. The manager couldnt tell the shop workers anything without them telling him off or making fun of him. It was ridiculous. Ive never seen a shop run so poorly. Please do not go here! Theyll tell you a good price and play nice until the work is done but once it is, they act like they dont know you. This place is a JOKE!

Hey, Im really glad I took my car to Redford Auto Repair on Wayne Rd. Their customer service was great. They explained everything clearly before doing the work and afterwards. I felt the prices were comparable to other shops in the area. They did the work pretty fast while I waited. I felt respected by the employees. The guy I mainly dealt with was polite, friendly and cheerful. I will definitely go back when I need more work on my car. I can honestly say I trust them. (My neighbor recommends them too).

I am so mad that I did not check the reviews on this place before trusting this place to have some integrity. WARNING: THIS PLACE WILL OVERCHARGE WOMEN (Joe was the one who quoted me)My battery light went on and I was told that I would need a new battery and alternator. Okay, you’re the expert. No problem. I was quoted almost 500 dollars to replace a battery and alternator on a 2010 Toyota Corolla. This seemed high, but I trusted them to be the experts. VERY SHORTLY after telling them to proceed (where i was the dumb one for sure), I asked around at a few places nearby. Most of then quoted between 250-300. I asked Joe if they could stop working on my car but he said they’d already started. In turn, he brought my price down to 400 after I expressed that I was being ripped off. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, Especially if you wanted to be treated like a human, rather than a woman to be taken advantage of.

If I could I’d give this place 0 stars. This is a terrible place. Do not go here. They are known for over pricing and then not fixing the car properly. They took car of my moms car. She spent over 800 on it just for the car to still not work. She had a warranty on it and they said they’d look at it again. THEY NEVER LOOKED AT IT. My mom came back in and the car still had snow on it. It’s been almost a month and they still won’t fix the car properly even though she has a warranty. Do not go here unless you want to waste your money

Dont go unless you know what your problem is, these guys cant diagnose your problem.I went in for some preventive maintenance in my frontend and they did the work just fine, however (I didnt know at the time) they didnt align my tires. After asking what the problem was they assured me it was something else and tried to charge me a bunch of money. Well my tire shred and I needed an alignment.Fast forward a month or two, something snaps on my truck. Theyre right there, so I take it in to diagnose the problem. Granted, yes my truck is loud. But, there was an obvious problem. A few hours later I get a call, they want me to come back in and drive it because they dont know what Im talkin about. So I walk back over, drive it. Again something is obviously wrong. At the end of the day ( I dropped it off at 8am) they call and tell me I need to replace my whole backend (at the same time suggesting I scrap it). I chose to get a second opinion over at westland transmission, within an hour they told me my problem wasnt in the back but the front (a fan blade snapped off) easy fix and she runs like a dream.And they give you a discount if you write a review.......so ya, lot of good reviews.

Steve is awesome! Hes friendly and engage with all his customers. This place is pretty affordable and beats all the competitors prices, I was in and out under an hour! They have great deals and they arent money grabbers like some of the the surrounding auto shops. This place is a RIP OFF I had my car towed to this shop for repair and I was changed 500 Hundred Dollar. The mechanic/front desk help called me to tell me it was fixed. I was told to come get my car before the close of the day and he was very rude.. I picked my car up two days later it stopped running. They did not fix my car they got it to started so that they could take my money and get it off of their property. Please do not take your car to this shop they are a RIP OFF!!. I put five stars so that people would read the warning. THIS SHOP GET NO REAL STARS!! PEOPLE WORK HARD FOR THEY MONEY and NO ONE DESERVE TO BE RIPPED OFF!!

Jay was professional and proficient. He diagnosed my car troubles and offered financing options that allowed me to get the repairs needed. They also worked fast! I dropped my car off before work, and picked it up after work!
