I tried Midas in Westfield, New Jersey for the first time this past Saturday for a synthetic oil change. I made the appointment on-line and received a call early Saturday morning from the Manager, Chuck, confirming my drop off time and what needed to be done to my Honda Ridgeline. Upon arrival I was greeted by Chuck and he was an absolute gentleman. Very professional and courteous. They completed the oil change without a hitch and I plan to use them for repairs in the future as needed! Excellent job!

Fixed my dangling splash guard for free! Very courteous and efficient, squeezed me in pretty quickly.

Chuck educates me, and also tells what I need done now or what can wait. Ive been coming here for years and I dont planning on stopping! Great service!

Brought my Tahoe here earlier in the week for a nail in my tire. Was greeted right away when I walked in. Gentleman was super friendly which is always appreciated. They took my car into a bay right away. 1/2 way through, they came out told me I needed new front brakes and rotors which I knew but appreciated them telling me. I was don’t in about an1/2 hour/45 minutes. Also walked away with an inspection sheet in my car! I feel like no one gives them any more which is crazy to me as this gives you an option for more work with the same customer. Brought my truck in again today for my brake job. Greeted by more friendly faces and my truck was taken in right away. I appreciate how they do business here. Especially after a horrific experience at Goodyear in Clark!

It was my first time visiting this Midas location. I recently moved from out of state and wanted to stay with the brand. I found this one that was a little farther than other non-Midas shops, but thought it’d be worth the drive since I’ve had nothing but great experiences with them. And indeed, I was not let down. In fact, I was really pleased by with the service. Chuck, the manager and his employees took good care of my car issues and concerns. I truly appreciated Chuck’s calm demeanor, his way of explaining things to me, and being honest about my car’s needs without making me feel pressured to fix things right on the spot. He also took the time to show me (literally) what my car needed and left the door open for me to come back. Lastly, I noticed a number of loyal customers come-and-go while I was waiting for my car and that in itself spoke also about his shop. I am glad I found a new Midas to take care of my car’s needs.

I was informed by car dealer repair shop that I need repair done to my car for over $ 1.000,00 bucks.. Came here and with amazing friendly service they just told me.. All good.. Just a little rust on rear brakes.. Cost under 100 bucks. A fraction..They are honest..friendly and fast.Im their new customer

I would highly suggest finding a different shop around the Westfield area. My wife recently had a flat tire and brought her car into this Midas. She spoke with Chuck about changing this tire. When she returned, unknowingly, they had changed all four tires and Chuck tried to charge her around $1,200. He said he changed them because the other treads were low. He basically tried to pull one over on us. Extremely dishonest. Please take your business to another local shop who wont attempt to screw you over.

Took my car in for load exhaust noise. They found a hole in the exhaust away from the muffler, but said I needed to replace that part and the mufflers for $1,200. I ended up taking it to my regular mechanic who said it wasnt necessary to replace the entire exhaust system and replaced just the part with the hole in it for $600. I feel like Midas Westfield was trying to do more work than was necessary.

This was my first visit at Midas in Westfield and the customer service/service was OUTSTANDING!!! Chuck took care of me and answered all my questions without making me feel like a ditz for not being more knowledgeable on what I needed to get done btw I’m a 25 yr old female. Needless to say this is my FOREVER MIDAS 😀. P.S Did I say say OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE

There is no words to express how amazing this place is. I dont live in this area and I was looking for my first car. I brought three different cars to this location and the overall inspection was very detailed! They were very informative and friendly. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They went above and beyond for me and I finally found my car. A 2011 Subaru Legacy, thank you Chuck, Curt and the rest of the team for all that youve done for me.

I made an appointment for new brakes. Most definitely in the front and probably the back. Chuck and team evaluated the brakes and told me it would take about 2hours to do the total repair. He also gave me an estimate in writing! No attempts to sell me anything extra. The coffee machine was a big plus! A big thanks to Chuck and his team of well qualified mechanics. I will be back!

Wonderful place for basic maintenance and advice. Ive been taking several cars there for years and never had a problem. The mechanics are solid and management is not out to get you.

I can not say enough good things about Ken and his team at Midas. In May while visiting Rahway for a sick relative we had car trouble, Ken and his team went out of their way to get us on the road again. My son is now experiencing car trouble and Ken is once again stepping up and doing all they can to get him back on the road. Reasonable prices, quality work and a shop that cares - you cant ask for anything more!

Chuck is always friendly and professional. He makes sure he communicates pricing before the repair. Clean waiting room with tv, wifi, complimentary coffee and a clean restroom. I recommend this Midas in Westfield.

Dropped it off overnight, fixed the next day. We had communication with them every step of the way and Anthony Kaleigh and Ken were insightful, friendly and to the point. Return customer!

A good value for the service

Took the car in for rear brakes repair. The manager John came up with a $732 for all brakes. The tech said the front bake pads were cracked. They showed it to me too.I refused the repair and bought the pads at $32 and checked the front. They were magically healed! Turns out they showed me another set to get me to buy into the jacked up service. Also was told the rear shims were missing and they were not and the rotors were near the end of their life which again they were notOverall I was surprised as they seem above board but are clearly not. The high up sale also for the pads which have lifetime warranty benefit them. The way out for Midas is that even if you were to get pads replaced under this program they force you to buy or turn the rotors which are much more than the cost of the rotor or the turning service.If you need an oil change that is the extent of the work you should get done there.

Not only do they not match the advertisement prices but manager Chuck Long is as shady as they come. Not to mention their prices are 2-3 time the cost of most competent garages.

Beware of this place scam artists, after spending $3500 I was told the reason my truck pulls to the left hard when I push breaks is brake lines are broken” so after 3 days of work n 3500 they let a 2010 F350 diesel truck leave ther establishment, leaking brake fluid lol!Super unprofessional, n not safe at all!So to date rear brake pads dragging as I drive n front left caliper not engaging!Do not count on this place for any work!!!!

Paid for a full cat back install here on my truck -- when I went to pick it up I noticed the hood had been scratched with large long lines as if something had been dragged across it - I also noticed numerous greasy fingerprints in that area and swirl marks as if someone had attempted to wipe something off -- when I questioned them about this -- the goon of a manager made it as if it was impossible that his shop did this and denied all knowledge without even asking the employees -- putting me in a he said she said position -- Ive never been more pissed off at a repair shop -- writing a letter to midas did nothing since there was no proof -- so tack on another $200 for clear coat and a buffing after my visit to this dump. needless to say they will never get my business or that of anyone I know -- scumbags!BEWARE!
