The folks here are knowledgeable, kind, and efficient. They installed a base plate on our Smart Car, wired it and installed the battery disconnect. This was my first excursion to State Trailer RV Supply. I was blown away by how much inventory and parts availability they have. This WILL NOT be my last excursion to this company. The staff was courteous, knowledgeable and the parts pricing is very reasonable. Youre like a kid in a candy store 😄. We even found the part I needed for my sixteen-year-old travel trailer. My experience was fantastic.
Well its about time I finally bought a boat, and now I find out about state trailer supply...its a well kept secret among the RV and Boaters. A great place if you need anything for your recreational outfits. Theyre very knowledgeable. That they dont have it they can have it within a day. Even if you dont know what youre talkin about they understand. Gentleman put this on your listings to home Depot in harbor freight, its a must go to attraction for men. many things I have always thought they should have found out they do. Absolutely the most positive experience ever. We had a base plate and blue ox flat tow system set up on our motor home and tow vehicle as well as a solar panel installed. The work was done as promised on time and well done. Instructions were given as well as a how to do it session with the MH and dinghy. Steve is an amazing asset to this company his knowledge and comprehension of the products he works on are excellent. Add to that his genuine care for the customer and his pride in doing the job the best way possible will not disappoint. It was our pleasure to find someone with his high standards and level of integrity.

The visit was very good with Steve in the service department when I purchased a new awning for my trailer. The day I dropped the trailer off to install the awning it was also a good visit with Steve. When I left on the first visit I had the impression from Steve that the installation was included in the price . When I returned to pick up the trailer I had a big surprise, I was handed another bill for installation and Steve was not there to talk to. To pick up my trailer I had to pay an additional bill. I was told to call Steve and discuss it, when I called the next business dayI was told Steve was unavailable that he was at lunch. I was able to contact Steve the next day aug 3rd and was told no sir the labor is alwaysseparate and if They had to special order theawning .because they did not have it. I would have to pay a installation fee when installedJust saying it would have been nice to know this up front at the time I paid for the awning.So NO I’m not happy with the experience
All the men in the service department, especially ken were calm, respectful and explained all the options for repair. These guys renewed my faith in humanity. Good people, good communication, quality work and not trying to gouge you. Highly recommend
I had a utility trailer that needed a new hitch. The parts needed were in house stock for easy part shopping. The old hardware needed removing and new hitch coupler welded on. Trailer wire harness installed and lights checked.In addition, my 1989 Ford F250 battery needed to be wired to camper for charging while truck is running. They found a blown fuse in the truck as well as a corroded wire near the hitch harness. They got the accessory, turn signalsand clearance lights all working on 1982 Lance.When I arrived for the 8:00 a.m. appointment for the work to be done, the job board the shop indicated 4 or 5 jobs before mine. It was Thursday, before a holiday weekend. They told me it would be done that Saturday.Surprisingly, I got a call at 3:00 p.m. that very day telling me my camper and trailer were finished as ordered.Steve, and the two shop guys were very knowledgeable and efficient in their help to me as initial detail decisions were made and even helped with a suggestion or two. I took their advice and am very happy with the work done and how timely it was completed. As a lady, I appreciate not being taken advantage of. I will be back for parts or service. I think this was the worst experience at any retailer Ive had. Found the first person I could see for help cutting wire. When he showed up he was clearly upset about something. I can understand that bad days are bad days I get it. After he cut the wire we had a question about what wire caps we would need. He immediately said I know nothing, I dont know anything of what you are doing. As we tried to explain what we were doing and needed he cut us off and again said I dont know anything. Pretty aggressive. To add to the fire as we said nevermind he waved us off and said Im not psychic!. Never expected you to be we honestly just need some help and you clearly didnt want to help. I understand a bad day but common dont belittle your customers because of it.
The service department manager is generally rude and acts as if he is put out, perhaps he does not like his job. Booked an appointment for 6/22/21 for our weight distribution hitch to be adjusted on a new trailer we bought. Had to wait two weeks for an appointment and was told to be there at 8AM sharp. That was not easy during a work day but we managed to get there ten minutes early with nobody else waiting. Then we were told to go ahead and park and they would get to it sometime during the day, maybe 1PM. That is info that should have been explained from the start, we cannot leave our truck hooked up to our trailer all day until they get around to it. In general the parts department is great and some of the staff is nice. The prices are generally high for shelf products. After this last service appointment we will be taking our business elsewhere in the future, they are not the only RV place in town, but they often act like they are. Very disappointing!!!!
I was a new customer, but these guys got our pop-up in and out very quickly. They were very professional and did not do any authorized, but unneeded work (saving me money). This is the place I want to take our camper to for any future work.
Gave it a week to think about it. While the man who was assisting me get the parts I needed was extremely helpful, answered all questions and assisted even while he was busy. The guys at the service counter were just god awful. Treated us like we were an inconvenience, said very, very, VERY few words, and had an overall attitude of they hated their job. Uninformative, uncomfortable, and absolutely rude. The service counter has made me not want to return to this store or any other of its chains, again. Some people need to learn to quit when they arent going to be helpful, there are plenty of people who can actually be useful to a customer.
For many years Ive driven past Advanced RV right near my home to go to State Trailer Supply. Ive done that because of the very poor to no service I received many times by arrogant people at Advanced RV.Yesterday I went to State Trailer to get a couple of things. The stores inventory was extremely low, Ill give a bit of a pass (but not much) assuming raw goods are affected by COVID.I found what I needed, went to the front counter to pay. There were two ladies standing behind the counter, the checker had her back to me the entire time. They were talking about something personal and didnt greet me or even gesture to me. The lady with her back to me half-turned, grabbed my items and scanned them, then turned back to the other lady to finish her conversation. I inserted my card, which didnt read, then the lady, again without even turning to or looking at me said Here, let me see it. She ran the card, handed me my receipt all without ever making eye contact, and without ever breaking the conversation with the other worker.With this kind of service you may get your customer on one purchase, but youll loose loyal customers and push away first timers very easily. Its time for me to check the competitor and see if their customer service has improved. It will save me some drive time.Edit: I received a response from the Manager Travis shortly after giving my review. Travis, Ill visit your store for my next needs, which my needs are frequent through the summer. If the customer service is there, Im back as a loyal customer. Thank you for your quick response. Hopefully the staff are as responsive as are you!
I called and was able to get my trailer in the next day. Was able to pick it up the following day. Steve and the other guy I talked with answered the questions I had which was very helpful.
We were able to get exactly what we needed. The customer service was amazing, BJ was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond. I even had help to my car with a big item by River another amazing employee. I will definitely be back for my next TV accessory.
The store manager, Travis, actually hung up on me!! Blew me away. I’ve never been treated that way as a customer and as a business owner myself I am totally surprised Travis still has a job at this establishment, let alone a management position. It seems that the business does have potential but the manager they currently have working for them is not suited to be working with customers. Which is very unfortunate for the business. He seems dishonest and does not know how to treat customers. They were falsely advertising a battery that was not the correct battery and sold us a cheap knock off brand that they had labeled as a Trojan battery. We asked that the issue be made right and told them we would keep the battery but only wanted to pay the knock off brand pricing as we have found it elsewhere for $30-$40 less than what they were selling the “Trojan” one for. They would not work with us and wanted us to drive back to the store to trade the battery for the correct Trojan one. We live 3 and a half hours away so it wasn’t going to work for us. The manager told me they were out of the Trojan brand ones the day we purchased it so they gave us the knock off. False labeling and false use of the Trojan name. I will be contacting Trojan to let them know that they are using knock off brand batteries but using the Trojan name to sell them. I have never experienced such horrible customer service especially from a Store Manager. I’m very disappointed with the quality of service received.The store manager Travis was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout the entire process.

Very disappointed in state trailer supply on Redwood in Salt Lake City Utah. Went in to the store on June 8th, had driven a 160 miles 1 way to pick up items that we needed. Went to parts and service department and showed gentlemen what parts I needed he advised me to go down aisle 5 and 23. Couldnt find what I needed on aisle 5 so went to aisle 23. 2 employees were putting away lights I asked the older gentleman if he had this light cover. In a very smart attitude he says good luck, I said good luck finding it here or good luck finding it someplace else. He said good luck. So I started to look and could not find what I needed in a light cover went back to him and asked him if he could help me. He said if I couldnt find it then its not there. At that point I asked him about a roof cover vent he said he needed to see it before he could help me. I opened my phone up and had 12 pictures of what I needed. At that point he said without having it in my hand he could not help me, that they make 4 different ones for the Jensens. I asked if he could walk me down to the 4 Jensens and I would be able to tell which one it was he said he was too busy to go down with me and I could look myself. At that point I was very disgusted and left the store with no parts and had to drive back home a 160 miles. I would advise customers to read all the reviews before driving to this location for help or parts, very discouraged poor management, poor customer service and no one knows anything. Found everything that I needed on the Internet so I will no longer ever have to drive down there for anything else.
I would give it five stars for one of their employees and zero stars for the rest. Im trying to get a trailer hitch added to my car for my mobility scooter and talk to several employees. One was very helpful telling me what parts I needed but they dont carry them and who does carry them. None of them told me that they wont put trailer hitches on a car even though I told all six of the times that I called that I needed it attached to my car.
I have been taking my RVs to State Trailer for going on 15 years. 5th wheel and motor homes. Their technicians are much better at diagnosing the problem than I am. That has saved me lots of cash. I found that going with their recommendation has also saved money. They know what they are doing.If they don’t have it they go out of their way to get it.
These guys are great! We have been renovating a truck camper and once we got near the end with electrical issues, I took it to state trailer. They were accommodating to my time crunch and worked me in, on a very busy day for them! The staff members fixed not only the main issue I brought it in for, but also an additional problem. Steve also took time out of his day to explain repairs I could do on my own, saving me a great deal of money. I will continue to bring our camper here for repairs!
Helpful staff found what I needed for my application and had it ready for checkout. Decent prices for everything that I needed. I will fulfill my subsequent needs there.
They saved me from 130 dollar mistake. Had a leak in my RV toilet and had been told by someone else that it needed to be replaced. I decided to call other RV supply stores instead of Camping World. On the phone, their parts guy told me he just needed the model number of the toilet and that he probably had it. When I got there and give him the model number,He said that this model toilet is extra strong and most likely in good shape. Instead, he suggested a $40 part that caused most leaks and just took a few minutes to replace. I took his advise and he was right. It was quick and easy and fixed the leak. I saw a lot of other good accessories here and will be back.
Horrible service from the service department every time we call. Had them complete some work on one occasion. Every time I reach out the service department I get a strong feeling that it is extremely inconvenient for them to assist and they really dont seem to care at all about providing any sort of customer service. Attitude is really bad from this place. There is a reason every other RV place in Utah has a service wait list and these folks generally dont. There are a lot of great places in the valley that will provide much better service and not belittle you over the phone when you call to make an appointment. It will be worth the wait to take it somewhere else rather than give business to an establishment like this.
I had my trailer in for service on the furnace recently. Their experienced technicians quickly diagnosed and repaired the furnace in no time at all. Their service and prices are great. I would highly recommend these guys if you need anything on your trailer or RV serviced.

$150 for Nothing!!! Brought my trailer in for service, advised them of what was wrong. Two hours latter they called saying they couldnt duplicate the problem. When I picked up the trailer they told me they did duplicate the problem for a minute but then couldnt again. When asked what service they provided they told me they hooked it up to power?!?! As I advised them when it was dropped off it had been hooked up and that had nothing to do with it. They then accused me of hooking up an entirely different connects incorrectly. Again when dropped off they were advised that connector in question was never hooked up, and as such couldnt not have been the problem. The service adviser then told me nothing they could do for me and to just pay the $150 and leave!!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! DONT GO TO THIS SHOP, THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU, ONLY YOUR MONEY!!!!!
This is my first time to get my trailer serviced at State Trailer. Friendly staff and got my rig fixed in a short time and for less than I was expecting.I gave 4 stars and hoping for more great service in the future. As it happens, Ill change and update my review.
Our power cord for our trailer was bad. They got us in same day and replaced the cord in an hour. Great service guys
We get most of our RV and trailer supplies at State trailer. They have a large supply of hardware, supplies and equipment to meet your needs. They do have a parts department that is knowledgeable and helpful. They are on a main road with easy access and plenty of parking.
They have everything you need for RV and Trailers and if they dont they can get it! Employees are very willing to help you with anything you need. Best place to shop for your RV needs.

We are exceptionally pleased with State Trailer Supplys service and their service manager, Steve. We took our motorhome there this past June and expected a three-week wait for our rear view camera and a new patio awning to be installed. Despite part delays, Steves knowledge of State Trailer Supplys inventory allowed him to quickly find an awning in our nonstandard size. Since shipping delays for special parts made it impossible for them to work on other vehicles, we were able to drop off our motorhome the same day we came and return the next day for pickup. When we returned, Steve taught us how to use the new awning. He showed us how to set it up, adjust for rain, change the height and angle of the awning, and take it back down. Steve went above and beyond the call of duty for our service.

Dont waist your money or your time here... they simply dont care about their customers when it comes down to doing what they say they will do or the right thing. Purchased an ADCO trailer cover from this place and the salesman told me and my wife that if we had any problems with it bring it back and they would take care of us. Well we had a problem and they told us to take it up with the manufacture. They refused to stand by their word or the product that they sell and help us. There are other dealers that will stand behind their word.In regard to your Response:You have the ability as the owner/manager to stand behind what your people have told someone regardless of what the manufacture has said and you have chosen not too... hide behind the manufacture... shame on you and I hope this prevents someone else from having to go through this. I bet you say that about all of your products. And what is your policy? You dont print that on the receipt.
Fantastic service and information! Steve took good care of me, told me what to expect, how my electrical system works, and how to get it working right. The new batteries work so well, and they removed the phantom battery that was causing trouble. I will definitely be returning to State Trailer RV for solar installation in Spring, thanks to Steves explanation of how it works and what it does. I had to buy propane. The guy walked out then left. I was perplexed. I called and they said he came to get his information. Then he filled them and left. It took me a moment to figure out that he put my receipt on the tank.No saying, I am done.Frustrating

We had a litium solar install done at State trailer. We were really excited to get this done and we thought we would pay a reputable dealer so we would have a warranty. Well needless to say our warranty is basically void because the install was never done correctly and its been almost a year now since it was installed and we are still having to get things fixed it still does not work the way its supposed to work. Unfortunately the fact that we paid a reputable company to do the work and have a warranty was a waste of several thousands of dollars. We were quoted a price which we understand why it went up originally but then every time there was a problem they would tell us it was a learning curve on their part but then they would charge us for the labor I finally ended up arguing with them enough and said I will pay you two more hours and thats so I could get my RV back and then I had to take it somewhere else and have them do some work so it would least work. They kept telling me it was the equipment I had purchased that they couldnt figure out but the majority of the equipment that I had purchased they also sold and the one item that they didnt sell they swapped out and things still wouldnt work. We ended up taking out the trailer and when we brought it back because it wasnt working they wanted to charge us more labor and thats when I finally said Ill give you two more hours and took my rig and Ive never taken it back. I hope that they have since then gotten better at doing the installations but I wasted several thousands of dollars just having them install my product.

My lights went out on my boat so I went to uhaul and see if they can fix them. They do hitch’s an harness installation but since they can’t work on my boat they referred me to state trailer because the guy at U-Haul did some testing and told there is short somewhere. I called state trailer supply and Travis answered the phone and told me to bring it over after I explained him what happen. When I got there they tested it and told there is no short, just the bulbs are burned. I personally think that you won’t find any such honest people like at state trailer supply. Thank you for letting this old man get back to his Fishing.HONESTY is a facet of moral character that connotes positive and virtuous attributes such as integrity, truthfulness, straightforwardness, including straightforwardness of conduct, along with the absence of lying, cheating, theft, etc. Honesty also involves being trustworthy, loyal, fair, and sincere.. Place is ok. They are always out of stock on things I need. Not sure its Rona related either. I see staff always be super nice to people/ customers they already know. But not the same to newcomers. And getting assistance usually takes a while. Not sure why, theres always plenty of employees walking around. Either way, I find this to be an almost self serve kind of store. Which I like in most cases, but sometimes customers need help. Thats when you notice the lack of supplies/ support.
The shop guys are awesome guys. They care about their work. They do an awesome job. They clarified everything with me before just moving forward when they found an issue. I would send all the work that I can to these guys
I just had two solar panels installed on our Allegro 32 ft class A. The team took great care in re reviewing the installation process and the choices i had for the control panel.The work was done on time, and i found the work to be excellent. Everyone that I dealt with was professional, helpful and thoroughly knowledgeable. I was worried about the camper tie down part and it’s installation. I have full length running boards and it’s an older dually pickup.Steve helped me determine the correct “oddball” part and Justin did a fantastic install job. I really was very pleased. Bought an OLD 2003 travel tailer. Wasnt sure of maintenance records, so called and spoke with Steve at State Trailer. He got us in within a week! Brakes checked, bearings lubed, new stabilizer jacks installed that we had brought in. Steve was great! When we picked up the trailer, another great service team man (sorry, I didnt catch his name) helped us get the trailer out of the parking lot. We totally recommend State Trailer for any service!

The service was bad, didnt really want to try. To busy eating. There was 3 people and just kept telling us its going to take 4 weeks. Maybe we werent white enough. Im sorry but we talked to someone awhile ago and was ready to order but they were to busy on there food they were eating.
The staff was very helpful and willing to help me out with trying to find the correct equalizer hitch for my trailer. They also to the time to show me how to set up the equalizer hitch on my trailer so I understand how it works. Went in for an Axle. Took the old one in to compare. had to wait for a day for them to weld the brackets on. Picked up axle the next day Brackets was welded on the wrong side witch wasn’t a big deal was thinking about mounting the axle under the springs anyways but wasn’t sure if it would lift the trailer to high or not told the service guy that it was welded on the wrong side But would just give it a shot to see if The Height would work Service guy said they can weld the brackets on the other side for free Incase it was to high and could get it done in 20 to 30 minutes the tech worked on it right away ended up being to high and putting axle on top of the springs saving me a lot of time from going back to get it welded again. friendly people good service
