Metering customers to a total of 1 in the store at a time, because they are “short staffed”. I own and operate several businesses. So I understand the staffing issues we are all facing these days, but there are many other businesses where I can spend my money. I try to support local businesses, but that was a joke. Unfortunately, I have to take my business elsewhere.

We dont have Big 5 stores where I am from. I joined the email club and decided to see if they honor the specials. I was greeted by Zach who offered to help me. Not being from here I asked for help to find the Nike socks. He took me to the socks and pointed out all the styles. They are a lot cheaper here than the department stores. I also took advantage of their shoe sale going on. Thanks Zach! Great customer service.

Ok. Workers were nice and helpful. My first visit there and great experience.

Big 5 really has a lot of stuff most of overlook. I am always greeted upon entering and employees are helpful. Look for their online coupons for the best deals. I just got a hammock for only $10 and other cool deals just in time for mothers and fathers day.

This store deserves a 5-star rating because the staff in the shoe department were so helpful in finding a hiking boot with the perfect fit (for my son, who has a wide and very thick foot. It took trying on 9 pair of boots to get it right and during this time the attendant was extremely polite and upbeat. Bravo to management for hiring people like this.

Pretty good selection knowledgeable staff

The staff was very friendly. I went in looking for a specific item. They directed me to the area it could be found, then answered my questions that helped me make the decision of my purchase. They went above and beyond, by helping me put my purchase in my car.

Like the name says, sporting goods. They have equipment for all the major sports and outdoor activities. Any kind of shoes and some clothing. Looks to be fairly priced.

I walked into the store looking for a megaphone.I walked around the entire store. I could not find it so 2 of the ladies working helped me look. They did a search and they were supposed to have 2 in stock so they looked in the back of the store and when they could not find it in their own store they started to call other stores. These ladies did their very best to find me a megaphone. They not once rushed me or Nor were they acting like they were in a rush to get home they found me a megaphone at another location And put it on hold for meThese ladies cared about my interests as if it were their own they put the customer 1st they did their very best until they found it and I really appreciate TAYLOR and BRENDA You ladies went above and beyondyou ladies are amazing and should show other people in Utah what it is to have customer service big 5 is lucky to have you and so am I . I live 15 miles away but this will be my new store

All the store employees were very helpful in finding the items I was looking for, and I got discounts on all the out-of-season items, even though there were no discount tags.

Horrible costumer service! We asked for help finding something they said they didn’t carry it and then after looking we actually found the item ourselves. They clearly just did not want to help us and didn’t even care when we told them they DID carry the item. If we weren’t traveling and did not need the item immediately we would have bought it somewhere else.

I went in today to return an item that I bought a week ago, unfortunately I did not have the receipt. I did however have all the tags and the item was not damaged. They said they would give me store credit only, and I was like meh whatever....thinking I would get some sweet new shoes that are about two years behind compared to other stores. The guy said they could only give me what the lowest on sale price for the product was, which was 30% less than what I paid originally, pretty lame. No wonder whenever I go to this store there is no one there. So much for supporting smaller businesses.

Great experience, bought a treadmill. while we thought we were waiting for them to make sure they had it, I look over and there is the manger with it on a dolly. he helped my load it up while the wife paid. I have never purchased something so large and heavy, in such a fast and expedient manner, I was really surprised and elated. they were real nice too.

Big 5 is great for certain things. I came quite out my finger on what those are but they have some good deals once in a while. My Dad bought shoes here and likes them. I purchased two skateboards for my kids and they were priced right.

I found a shotgun here once its a great price and I bought it. The experience was good but I had to wait till the next day to bring it home because they couldnt get ahold of the government people to do the background check. Thats why its only four stars instead of five. Big 5 is where I buy my shoes. I have a very wide foot and the only shoes that have ever fit well worthy New Balance 686 is that always seem to be available at Big 5. So, when I need to buy shoes, I dont even think of anywhere else to go, if you have wide feet I recommend this place. If you have narrow feet, I would not know.

Cool store for sports gear

We go to Big-5 three to four times a year. If any of my family needs shoes, we definitely check them out first. I have also bought workout equipment, lots of balls, and even some shooting targets. Always a great experience, and the staff is very helpful.

The young lady that greets you jasmine is so sweet everytime I go in there. She helps me when I need it and Im a older guy and walk slow but she waits for me or if my knees hurt bad she just tells me that she will bring it up and makes sure thats what I need.she is alwaying smiling which is nice and makes me feel welcomed. Her and the young man Zach help us and when my daughter comes in with me he helps us in shoes thatfellow sure is fast and brings out as many as I need and he is very kind and smiles also. These young people are very helpful

Needed new running shoes, great place, many to chose from and prices are good.

Typically a quick stop for most sporting goods, though I was sad they didnt have pull up bands. Otherwise the staff always greets me upon arrival and usually offers to help me find something if they see me browsing for more than a minute.

Ment to leave this review acouple days ago well I come with my boys here all the time to buy shoes or sport supply . but i asked this guy for help because it looked like everyone was busy belive his name was hawk as it said on his tag I was watching him while he was just standing by the clothes on his phone just txting I asked for help and asked for a shoes size the other employees were ringing out people, he handed a cashier the shoe and said if they can go look for it .Both cashier helping customers each one had about 2 people while he just stood there. I asked the young lady for a manager and she said oh its him so I didnt even bother. While she went in the back for my boys shoes we sat on the chairs and this manager went back on his phoneAnd just stood there smiling on his phone when he could have helped us along time ago .

Not a positive experience overall. A staff member told us any socks in a section were on sale for $5. Once we went to the register to check out they were actually buy one get one free. So they turned out to be like $6.50. We werent happy but we were just trying to check out and leave. The two staff members then proceeded to argue in front of us over whos right. Eventually the female staff member got the manager involved. They then continued to argue for a few minutes (this time by the socks). Finally the manger came over to explain to us the exact same thing the staff member had already told us twice, but this time talking to us as if we were too stupid undertsand.

But I love my copons. State street is a fairer store. 90 so.. says they already took of the extra 20% or. 30%. Well, state still homers the discounts on old stock. Its still new. Looks good. And.
