The Customer service that Carl provided was beyond any I have ever had. The price was way below any of the other Transmissions shops. We took our shop Nissan Rogue to Transmasters. They got us in 2 weeks before anyone else could. The price was good (transmission replacement is never cheap) and they got us done faster than they thought. Thank you for the good work.

Took great care of us and our motorhome. They also communicated well with us regarding the problems and cost to fix them. Once they completed a tune up they found problems with exhaust and fixed that as well. Additionally, on our way home our check engine light came on. We called them and they said to bring it back and they would do a diagnostic. They found the problem, fixed it quickly, and sent us back on our way! Would definitely recommend them for any work!

I took my car to another repair shop and they told me that my engine was missing. Very terrible place to be aledgedly affordable. I brought my car to karwy that same day, right before closing. I had to replace an engine in my 2001 Chevrolet Express 3500 V8 5.7 L and Karey, Carl and Co. delivered! New, original parts combine with pristine labor! Called and got a quote for the worst case scenario for repairing my van 2400.00 and that is what I paid however when I got my van back the cruise control was not working(it worked perfectly when I took it in) I had just used it many times on a trip to Las Vegas. And now the air conditioning stoped working so I was looking in to that and realized that Transmasters’s had cut the line to the original trans cooler that sits in the front of all cars with automatic transmissions and zip tied the new cooler line to the air conditioning line. There excuse for the cruise control not working is that they put in more time already than I was charged for on the transmission. This is the second time I have used Transmasters’s and to be fair the first time they did a good job this time no. So if there record is 50/50 I would not recommend them.

My husband took our 1999 ford f150 into their shop for a diagnostic - the owner said that he would call when it was done. We went back a few hours later and it was ready. The owner said there was no charge and told my husband what he had done. The owner was very informative, extremely professional and definitely knows CUSTOMER SERVICE. We took our 1976 GMC Sierra for basically a complete overhaul, Pretty much everything new from bumper to bumper. They were very professional and we are very happy with their work. I highly recommend them to anyone for auto repair.

I pulled in today without an appointment, I was having issues with my Hummer H1 conversion that wouldnt shift into 4 wheel drive and with it starting to snow I was concerned I wouldnt make it up my hill to get home tonight. If I could give 0 stars I would, Have had my car there for almost a year. Paid about 3k the first time, they said to bring it back if it had problems and they’d guarantee to fix it. After i got it back the first time, not even a week my car acted up again I took it back and I got charged for some “electrical” issues it had and I had to pay more money even though they said they’d give me a guarantee. I have yet to get it out and it’s been almost a year. They’re trying to charge me another $1000+ for what they think is the problem. Wouldn’t recommend if you want your vehicle done fast

Needed a clutch replaced and while they were looking at that they found several other problems that were a safety concern. I told them to fix it and do the brakes and then explained that I was going out of town and would be out of cell reach for the week-end. They understood and were willing to fix and hold the vehicle until I returned on Monday.They discovered the steering rod was going to break and fixed that for me as well as noted that the brakes were more than safe and did not fix that. Completely within my range of approval while I was gone. They were respectful of me, my methods of communication and the situation of the vehicle and my out-of-town trip. I am confident that they will take care of you and your car as well as work with your unique situation to the best of their abilities.Very happy and will be returning to their shop.

I have a warranty on my car that is serviced through Transmaster. It needed a new transmission. They rebuilt it, it was still making the same noise and acting up, took it in again, they fixed it again... just got it back and now its leaking transmission fluid. They will need my car for another 12 hours. This is ridiculous. I understand sometimes things are missed but 3 times??? Come on! I will not be referring anyone here!

I recommend Transmasters to everyone and anyone!! They have such amazing service and really know how to take care of their customers. Ive been in several times with engine and tire issues, everytime they go above and beyond to solve the problem, keep me in the loop, and get my car back on the road fast!

Thought I needed a new transmission, they found some issues and were able to repair it without a very costly exchange also I brought my car down my check engine light was constantly coming on and they troubleshot went through the series of things and able to fix that these guys are the best are very reasonable and honest

I took my Jeep in to double check why the engine light came (2nd opinion) and they correctly diagnosed the problem but told me it could be a more expensive transmission rebuild. It was not, and I paid for the diagnosed problem, which was 2/3 less than a rebuild. They did not make up a transmission issue to charge me more. Then they properly diagnosed a leak, fixed the issue and did not charged me for it as it was a minor issue. They were honest, and dogged about finding the leak. I am very happy with them, highly recommend them and I will go there again for future repairs. Thanks guys! John C.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. 01/23/18 I brought in my vehicle for a transmission repair, where they told me they would be contacting me within the next 2 hours. I did not receive a call the rest of their business day. I contacted them 01/24/18 about an hour after they opened, which they told me they would contact me within the hour. 3 hours later I finally get the call where they provided me an estimate of $700 to $2200. I informed them that I was unsure regarding the cost as I am currently unemployed with roughly $300 in my account, so I may be able to do the low end of the estimate, but there was no way I could do the high end cost. He sympathized and told me that what they could do is they could open it up and start taking it apart to find where the main problems are so that they could provide me a more accurate estimate. This implied to me that they were going to look a little further and contact me to let me know what they found and what costs I would be looking at once they found them. This i accepted so that i could get a better estimate and then compare prices with another auto repair shop. 01/25/18 we find someone that may be willing to help with the vehicle and a notably lower cost, so we reach out to Transmasters to let them know that we will be picking it up on 01/26/18. They inform us that they do not advise us picking up the vehicle as they are currently working on repairing it. I questioned when I okayed the repairs and they told me that I had agreed for them to start the repairs after estimating a cost of $2200 to $2700 depending on how bad. With my current income I would not have agreed to them starting on the vehicle with that high of a cost. I told them as such and that this was legally concerning. They informed me that they had recorded all our calls and the calls could be pulled for proof and as a verbal contract. When I said that I want them to return the vehicle to the way it was for us to retrieve it, they said that it would cost us $550 in fees. This is even further concerning as we were not informed of any fees or charges we would be facing for them to check on the vehicle, and then return it to its original state. Currently looking into UDAP and Utah Automotive Repair Act for actions we can take to resolve this issue.

My transmission failed while I was visiting from Idaho and the owner Carl sent a tow truck to pick up my car for free and had his guys come in on saturday to finish up so that I could head back to Idaho on sunday. On top of that he gave me a really great price for getting my transmission rebuilt and even threw in a 100$ discount. Great guys!

I have received service by the mechanics from transmasters for many years, have referred anyone and everyone I know, always pleased with the results!!! Myself I have taken 3 cars to transmasters 2001 Chevy Malibu, 2011 ford fusion and 2001 hyundai accent, these are very experienced grease monkeys 20+ years doing what they love... u wont get good service from someone who doesnt enjoy what they do. If your having car problems this is definitely the place to go!!!!

What a rip off fuel pump went out they did not replace the fuel sensor arm cost me 585 dollars my fuel pump was under warranty so I took it back to OReillys they told me not to use OReillys fuel pumps so when it went out again I called and spoke to someone and they said they probably got it from OReillys or auto One when I took it to Quick lube in Murray they told me what transmasters didnt do right and they did it right and only cost me 435 hmmm transmasters are crooks will not ever go back and will tell everyone how crooked they are! When I called to take they fuel pump back they told me all I could do is get a new fuel pump no money back!These people are liars!

After a complete rebuild transmission did not shift right shifted hard into gears pulled out again and did more work shifted smoother but had delay when to shift took back several times still no success dips tick showed no metal but took to aamco they pulled pan and showed metalic in filter and pan probably needs another rebuild I would not recommend this place so to save money it will cost a lot more down the road now I took to aamco after pulling and inspection the trans was junk not repairable so it cost 3700 to replace with remanufactured one transmaster probably found a used one for cheap and charged for rebuild price never later transmaster do your work

My vehicle was damaged by a lub service center and spent the better part of two weeks at another repair facility. After they where unable to complete the repair, my truck came to transmasters. Repairs where done in an expected amount of time. Calls where made when the vehicle could be picked up with the advise it would be better for the next day. Knowing auto repairs I appreicate the foward thought. It has been 2 months since my vehicle was there and Ive had no issues with the repair at all. These guys really seem to know how to take care of there customers.

We were very happy with the work done by Carl Hovey and the staff at TransMasters. We brought our 93 Eurovan to them when our transmission failed in Salt Lake City. Our Eurovan was written up on the internet for its problems with both the transmission and the transmission control unit (TCU) and we were not optimistic that it could be fixed. Carl showed us the old parts and why they had failed and the complete transmission rebuild kit that would be installed. Carl was then able to resolve the TCU electrical issues without having to order another one online, which was proving to be very difficult to obtain. We were able to drive our van back home to Calgary and it has worked well ever since. We are very grateful to Carl and staff for their honesty, integrity and skill in getting the job done.

Had a transmission replaced 3 years ago. They finished quickly and still havent had any problems.

Terrible service. A family friend that is a mechanic there. I paid 200.00 to look at my vehicle to tell me what was wrong with it and 4 months later I get it back in worse condition then when I took it down there as well as cosmetic damages. I would not refer anyone to this place.
