I love this place because of the convenience and price. I always like coming here since there are usually new items all the time. Some stuff there is a huge steal. One game I bought usually costs 60$ but I bought here for 5$ Below are some of my top steal deals that offer a lot for a cheap price that also last a long time.:)

Do notever work for this company or person at the west des moines location. I worked there for seasonal and the day I came to work apparently was my last day no notice or warning.

It is a good place to get low cost chargers, headphones and speakers. Lots of candy and t-shirts. A great place to buy an affordable gift. We bought a speaker, cord for a charger and candy...2 bags of items $38. I could have gone elsewhere for less. More appealing to kids and teens.

I think the store itself is great and has a lot to choose from. Specially for nothing over 5$. However, there are some things that are $5 and I think are way overpriced. All in all though I do like the store.

This shop has a variety of products to choose from. Had a ton of things for kids, such as board games, paints, some clothes, gag toys and more. I was surprised by the amount of greeting cards they had to choose from as well. Clean and very organized; not many workers walking around or greeting. When I paid for my items the clerk was not so friendly, she handed me my receipt and said heres this and that was it.

Clean store, staff was nice-good attitudes even though I was in here in the evening. Store is mostly organized, but some stuff just seems like its way out of place. Most everything is $5 - which is cheap - but kind of expensive for more of the cheaper stuff. But they also have graphic tees that are pretty cool, a lot of them are even licensed stuff like Disney/Pixar, although they only go up to size XL. They have really good smelling incense as well that are 4 for $1

I love five below. I couldnt remember why I was going in there today but I found awesome stuff to buy. Plus, I remembered what I went in to buy after i wandered around for a while. Honestly, though, Id be fine wandering around this store for hours even if I didnt know what I was gonna buy. That can be dangerous to my bank account, but totally worth it. So, I love this store unreservedly.

Cool place geared towards the younger generation. Similar to the dollar store but the items seem to be a better quality and the store is cleaner and more modern. Nice concept and friendly staff!

Based on information online, we made a 30 min trip to visit this new store on Sunday before it closed. There was a woman at the door turning everyone away, saying they were closed. When I (and others) pointed out that online information indicated they were open for another hour, she responded, “Yeah, that’s wrong.” No “I’m sorry,” or “We hope you come back,” etc. In my opinion, a better managerial decision would have been to honor the hours being publicized online during their opening weekend rather than turn so many people away. There was a steady stream of people being told to go away.

Nothing in this store is a good value except maybe the bulk candy. They lure you in with what looks like great deals, but pepper those with some incredibly over priced items. I bought a charging cable there... which I realize would be a short-lived cable, but it stopped working after 6 days. Stick to the dollar store...

It is the neatest store to take my Granddaughters ages 9, 10, and 16. And the clerks are all so nice and helpful! Thank you so much!

Pretty neat store. Some great deals, others you can find cheaper else where. Only real downfall was the customer service. Not even the cashier greeted us. The two cashiers talked to each other the entire time. The cashier told us our total which was the only thing she said to us.

So much stuff that has good brands and good quality for the best price in town. Wife and I love this place as do the kids.

They actually have a pretty solid selection of items from beauty, fashion, fitness, home decor, tech, toys, and treats. With everything being $5 or less, this is an impressive place.

Ive been to this new store at Merle Hay Mall twice now, and as a mother to a young daughter, I have to say I absolutely love this place!! Everything is $5 or under (only exception are the iPhone cases [OF COURSE] which are $5.77 I believe).This is a great place to get gifts, especially for women (adult, teen, child), and kids.They have an array of kids games & toys, posters, room decor/organization, throw pillows, super cute keychains/magnets, huge selection of makeup, art supplies (gel pens, colored pencil sets, journals, wreck it journals, gratitude journals, sketch books, small canvases, slime, books full of either crosswords or word searches & more!), some clothes, tech gear, and even holiday decorations! They also have a huge selection of candies - I admit I had to purchase a few that were Nostalgic to me (Mario ? box w/ candy inside that you can use as a little tin if you want), and a Reptar Cereal tin (90s kid!!)... They had a big selection of candy! Candy buttons, gummy candy pizzas, sushi, hamburger, chinese takeout noodles (so cute!!), some I never heard of! My daughter was thrilled.They also have a selection of t-shirts, pajamas, socks, slippers, etc AND a section for dogs. Im so glad this store came to Des Moines, I know Ill be buying there for cute little Christmas gifts!Will add photos later.

I was pretty excited to see the store since everything is priced at $5 or under. The store had a lot of good deals but some things seemed overpriced for what there were. Despite the store being messy it was still shopable. The cashier was pretty friendly as well.

I went in before Christmas and the store was packed and a mess. I dont understand why people cant put things back after they decide they dont want it anymore.

Very good place to find things you dont need but want because theyre $5 or less. Also good for finding quick last minute things and quick gifts so you dont go empty handed to that seasonal occasion.

Fun concept for a store. A bit disorganized, but there were many employees trying to put it back together. Would be tough to keep children from destroying a place like this with parents that let their kids run wild.
