What a pleasant surprise walking in the front door! Don’t be deterred by the old railroad across the street. This place was just what I was looking for, interesting with great breakfast sandwiches and delicious coffee. We sat outside in the back along the river. Loved it!

Im so glad I found this place, a gem in the Frog Level section of town situated in what was once the grocery by the railroad depot. The coffee is delicious and the space expansion but also welcoming. Plus theres a back patio overlooking the river! A local coffee roaster with 19 years of history!

This is such a great coffee shop! The coffee is amazing (and worth the drive from Asheville if youre there!), and the food is delicious as well. The inside of the shop is spacious and has a great atmosphere, and the people working there are so nice! Highly recommend the ultimate mocha if you are a chocolate lover.

I loved the atmosphere of this coffee house. There is outdoor seating by the beautiful creek and our four legged friends are allowed to hang out with us to share a good cup of coffee, do our work and have a few snacks. I have been returning time after time.

Large space great for reading or working on a laptop and a wonderful menu. We’ve had various espresso drinks as well as breakfast and lunch items. Everything is always delicious and the staff is kind and friendly.As for desserts, this is my favorite and what draws me here most, especially the chocolate chip cookies and white chocolate raspberry scones which I can’t seem to find anywhere else. Yum!The only thing I dislike is getting a bagel with cream cheese or a bagel and lox. They just give you a thing of cream cheese to spread on yourself. I really could do that at home—when I go out for coffee and a bagel I’m looking forward to a hot, ready made bagel unlike what I can make at home.The only other drawback is at times the musical genre playing in the background makes it harder to concentrate fully on reading or writing. However, this is made up for by the second seating area where there isnt music playing.

I think this is the best coffee in Waynesville! The setting is wonderful, easy parking all around, and the inside is very pretty and inviting. Lots of open spaces and tables to sit and you can go out the back and sit in comfortable chairs by the river if you like. Picnic tables too!

Honestly one of the most welcoming and great tasting coffee houses Ive ever been to. The art and views from balcony outside is beautiful. Anytime Im in town I will be sipping coffee here and eating one of their delicious sandwiches.

My wife and I absolutely love this coffee shop. The atmosphere is one of the best, with lots of seating and plenty of tables. They have a large selection of drinks and corresponding flavors. Additionally, they have tons of great food choices if you get hungry. Plus, of its nice outside they have a great outdoor seating area too.

Gluten free bread for all their sandwiches!!!!! This place would make a killing in Brooklyn. Old people, young people, working people and non all come here! The food choices are great, the coffee delicious and their prices are on point. I ordered the devilicious with a mocha and couldn’t have been happier. Everyone enjoyed their sammies which all came with blue corn chips and fruit. Seasoned tea was lavender! Excellent spot even if you have to bus your own tables.

WOW. Great spot for breakfast along the river. Enjoyed relaxing with strong coffee and a delicious frittata. Sunday morning service a little slow; the line was 10 people deep when I left. Panacea would benefit from additional order taker, especially on the weekend.

This place is my absolute favorite place in town, to go have a nice cup of coffee. They also have great lunches. Cozy environment with riverside chill spots.

One of the coolest coffee shops that Ive ever been to. Absolutely loved the indoor theme, its a mix between a warehouse and cool Eclectic furniture. All drinks and food that were ordered for very delicious. They have a lot of variety and everything is handmade. I also ordered a bag of coffee beans at the ground up for me for my French press. I will definitely be going back!

Great contemporary coffee house with an industrial feel. Large open area, lots of tables and a lively outdoor space by the river. The food is much better than the usual coffee cake. Lox on Italian bread with plenty of veggies for example. Very nice staff

Best coffee shop in NC! We found this shop in the Froglevel District in Waynesville. We loved getting coffee there almost every morning and sitting outback listening to the water flow past us in the river.

This was my moms favorite coffee shop! And now every time I come home I make sure to go there and have my favorite blended coffee drink and make sure to pet the panacea cat! I love sitting next to the river and drinking my coffee!

Love this place! My family and I come here every year. The food & drinks are always so good. The service is great as well and the food come out in a fair amount of time. I personally love the Dixie Chicken and the Molly Christo. The outdoor seating is beautiful and dogs are allowed. They have water bowls and a water spicket for the dogs as well. There is a very cute black cat that hangs around and he/she will love you! I would always come back here to eat! 😍🥪🥤

My girlfriend and I visited this place while we were in town and now were really sad we live too far away to be regulars.Their atmosphere is absolutely perfect. The outdoor space is a treasure when the weather is right.The coffee is unrivaled and the food is fantastic!

Great staff and an even better atmosphere. We used this coffee shop as a location for our rehearsal dinner 12/28/18 and it was a fantastic night. The coffee was excellent but being able to enjoy a cold beer while taking in the atmosphere is a huge plus. Will definitely be making my way back next time I’m in Waynesville!

Wi-Fi in available but if youre into getting disconnected you can go outside the back to the outdoor seating by the creek! Very beautiful! Retro shop and brewery next door. Friendly cat out back :-)

I live in Charlotte and order all my coffee beans from Panacea by mail. I love trying all the single origin options as well as the beautifully dark roasts. Truly spectacular. As a coffee picky aficionado, I highly recommend!

Each of them doing it for a singular purpose of bringing me their best professional opinion of the perfect coffee bean . At least thats what I tell myself as I drink coffee made from beans all around the earth. It brings a certain class along . They have coffee from all over the place and both on medium or dark roast. They have a cafe and serve tap beer but I havent eaten here. I go for the tasty beans . You can buy a bag of a type of bean and grind it yourself or get them to do so. Its the best coffee I have found in the region. Combined with 15 bucks a bag means its not aweful in cost but high in taste.

One of my favorite places in this area. It was a cool day but the coffee shop was warm and sunny. My bagel, from a local bakery, was toasted perfectly and came with ample cream cheese. As always, the coffee is fantastic!

This place is so cool, the outdoor area along the river that it shares with Frog Level Brewery is so beautiful, our dog loved it and there was a man playing acoustic guitar and singing which was very relaxing. You could hear the trains which maybe some people won’t like but we thought it was cool. A coffee shop/Brewery with a riverside outdoor area in the mountains, does is get much better?

If you need a place to buy fresh roasted coffee, look no further. I buy my coffee here on a regular basis. The selection of fresh roasted coffee is also really good. Friendly service. The food and coffee drink selection is great. A little pricey, but its a unique coffee shop.

My second time here. I actually tried to brewery next door. The beer was okay. I think the coffee shop does a better job at making espresso than the brewery does at crafting beer. Really nice outdoor space next to the river though. Definitely worth a visit.

I love the coffee here. I also like that they serve a few food items. The location is in a strange area but, its a great location just because the back yard that it has behind it. Its beautiful and peaceful! The owner really picked a great place to have his coffee shop!

My only complaint is that it only stays open until 5pm. I get done with school at 3:30, and could get there by 4, only giving me an hour to get settled and work on homework. Wish they stayed open til 7pm. Other than that, the service is always great, the drinks are always hot and fresh, and the atmosphere was relaxed and spacious. Also, the back deck area with the rushing water is wonderful! This really is a unique place and my favorite coffee shop even visited.

Amazing people! The drip coffee was so smooth. Tried their espresso and by itself is a treat in its own. Grabbed my boys 2 hot chocolates and they wouldnt stop raving about how good they were!

Loved the space. Coffee was very good. Had fresh fruit for smoothies and belinis. Mimosas and draft beer available. Location seemed sketchy on a side street with questionable passers-by. Would visit again if in area.

We live this place. An old warehouse turned into a cool old-fashioned coffee house. And you can go outside and sit by the river. Coffee is great too!

We were encouraged to go to this quaint coffee shop, so we did. There is nothing quaint about it. This coffee shop is located in an old decrepit warehouse building, in the warehouse district of Waynesville. It is badly in need of repair. Im surprised the health department doesnt shut it down.

My whole family loves this place and we have to stop in every time we visit Waynesville. My parents lived within walking distance until this past year. Now we actually have to get in the car and drive there, but we still do!!

Excellent stopping place light breakfast. I had a great smooth Americano with bagels and lox and a quiche. They grind their own coffee and it shows but everything that they do here is nice and relaxed. The room itself is open and wide pretty much a restored Warehouse. Two levels of tables. The higher level allows you view to the outside which is taking apart Lee buy wooden decks and a flowing stream. You come in here and you just relax enjoy the food and chill. Jazz music nice and soft in the background. Very friendly staff.

They have a lovely selection of coffees that are roasted in house. They have a large menu for sandwiches throughout the day, as well as wine AND mimosas! A beautiful courtyard just a few steps from the register, with a patio and seats next to the river, which makes quite the serene time (coffee AND nature).
