Niles and team were fantastic. This is probably one of the easiest and stress-free car buying experiences I’ve had to date. Niles was very responsive to my questions and requests regarding the vehicle I was interested in. I was able to conduct most of the car buying process (seeing pictures and agreeing on price etc) digitally. We were able to agree on purchase price via text and I only had to come into the store to pay/pick up the vehicle. All costs and fees were provided upfront - no hidden fees or surprises. The 3+ hour drive to pick up the vehicle was well worth it. I’ll definitely consider AutoStar Waynesville the next time I purchase a Stellantis product!

My husband and I came here looking for a safe, reliable vehicle for ourselves and our 1 year old son. Niles immediately catered to us and wanted to know everything we were looking for in a vehicle. He was very kind, funny and personable! He found a few cars that were in our price range and we test drove them, and we fell in love with a 2016 Jeep Compass. Niles worked with the guy who is over the banks and they stayed on the phone with them for a while working out a deal for us. We are EXTREMELY happy with our Jeep! Literally almost everything is covered, even the tires!! Love this place and will 100% be going here for all vehicles in the future. Definitely ask for Niles

I have dealt with numerous dealerships over the years and prefer to have my vehicles serviced by dealerships as opposed to small shops - regardless of cost. By far this was the most professional and meticulous service department I have done business with. I’ve bought a 21 Gladiator from them and a 20 Wrangler Sport Unlimited elsewhere and receive the same excellent service on both, regardless. Highly recommend for any Jeep needs.

Worst experience I have ever had. My car was in a front end collision hit and run and I had to get bodywork done on it so I had champion collision take care of it. It also had a traction light on so they partnered with auto star for the diagnostics. When champion collision went to pick up they car they brought it back because it was not fixed. They claimed to my insurance company that the traction light was on because of wear and tear with my tie rods which allowed allstate to take the stance that they would not fix my car despite the fact the traction light was still on because it was not related to the accident. After talking to 3 other mechanics they told me that by the way vehicle works a traction light could not be triggered by loose tie rods. Because of this I had to pay for another tow to a mechanic that could help. They determined that my tie rods were not loose as well as that it was happening because the steering wheel was thrown off from the accident. Because of this misdiagnosis I had to pay a separate tow bill, another diagnostics fee, had to pay auto star for their diagnostic fee even though it was so wrong and got stuck with $400 extra rental car fees because it went over the 30 days allstate would allow and I havent had my car for over a month and a half. These people have no clue what they are doing and will only cause you to lose money and more importantly may not be safe behind the wheel. Please please please whatever you do if you enjoy your money and safety find somewhere else to go because these people are lost.

Today is 10/2/21. I visited this dealership a week and a half ago for an oil change. I foolishly ignored the message on the dashboard of my jeep for an oil change for more than a month and now I was worried and wanted to do it that day. I drove into the service area and explained that I was past due for an oil change and would like to do it today as well as purchase new windshield wipers. due to staffing shortages from covid I was told the earliest they could do it would be the following Wednesday. I inquired weather the dealership in ashville would be able to squeeze me in and was told that autostar has been turning away their customers. I was able to purchase the new windshield wipers and the gentleman I was greeted by installed them for me. the first time I visited autostar was shortly after purchasing my jeep in the Asheville dealership. I was unable to get the jeep started and had to call a flat bed to tow me to autostar. they informed me they were going to have to keep my jeep for at least a day. under the terms of the warranty they would give me a loaner free of charge.the loaner was a brand new jeep Cherokee and had some really nice bells and whistles like remote start. my jeep is a manual transmission so remote start is out of the question. every one Ive dealt with at autostar are professional and friendly and would recommend them without hesitation.

I was very disappointed in the customer service of this dealership as I had bought from them before. I made an appointment a week before to test drive a Jeep and while I was signing paperwork to test drive it someone else walked up and test drove it and bought it. I understand the walk-in policy but I had an appointment for this vehicle at this time for this particular vehicle a week in advance. And the dealership reached out to me several times during the week and the day of the appointment to confirm I was coming. I arrived five minutes early and the other customers came in after me. I was stunned that they were allowed to drive off. I will be buying my Jeep elsewhere now. I was extremely disappointed. This was not the case when it Anderson. As I have read back through these reviews this seems to happen a lot with others who have an “appointment” and then get there and the car is suddenly being test driven by someone else. I do understand the walk in thing but when someone makes an appointment and takes the time out of their day to come down then THAT particular car should be available. The fact that it’s not makes me feel like they don’t really care about the person who made the appointment. All they care about is selling it to someone. And the management seems to respond to every negative review here with the same token answer about being so sorry for the experience. Do yourself a huge favor. The management and customer service are sadly lacking in professionalism. Not the way to do business at all

I had a good experience with Jeep/Buick sales and finance guys over the weekend. We went back and forth for about 2 weeks trying to nail down the right deal for both parties and finally settled on a decent outcome on a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. Once the deal was set the process was quite easy... just wish they would go more digital instead of all the paper signing... facilities were nice and well kept.. Lot was in order... would use them again in the future when my lease is up pending there was a vehicle I wanted at that time that they carried!

If you love HIGH prices and people lying straight to your face then come here! Not only did they mess up my brakes, they never called to tell me the new parts were in and when I asked if an oil change was done a certain employee said it was and that he saw them do it....no oil change was done. Prices are at least double than the honest people down the street from shoneys waynesville. Dont get ripped off!

Wasted afternoon trip.We drove specifically out there to check out the Jeep trucks they listed on their website. When we got there none...no jeeps. My husband went in to ask and they informed us they were actually at their Hendersonville location. I would say maybe updating their website to accurately represent their location in Waynesville would benefit customers or future customers. Very disappointed and wont be back.

Son purched his first carThese people turned into a shamLast Saturday credit applied for and approved, we had rowdy children in car and had to leave, over Ron begging us to stay for a car that wasnt ready to leave.Called Monday morning, will be there in the afternoon, nothing was ready when he arrived, was told by Salesman Ron to return Thursday for two hours to service vehicle.Thursday we arrived early, 12:00 notified it would be longer, 1:30 questioned Ron who informed me if we had waited Saturday it would have gone smoother. That he had stated a few hours, despite my wife and son both stating his own words back to him. Sales manager provided a car stating they would bring my sons car the next morning all would be handled. 11:20 texted car on the way. Finally after holding us up for the equivalent of a whole day. When questioned, we didnt say when we would take care of it. Once I went over the paperwork $700 doc fee, $400 fee to preserve paint and interior, $800 GAP, $3400 extended warranty.You deal with these folks keep one hand on your wallet and carry a voice recorder if Ron is any example they will try to change what they say to suit them

We were driving by and decided to visit and see the new Ram designs. We are from out of state and wanted to see what was available and if the cost difference made it worth the extra drive. There were a couple on the lot but done had 4 wheel drive and the options that we wanted. The salesman spent a lot of time with to help locate one at another store. He was pleasant and best of all not pushy for the sale. Very unlike what we are used to in the Northeast. If we were to ever considering a purchase in the south we would consider this dealership based on the professionalism of this salesman.

It takes forever to talk to someone in the service department. I had called last week and left a message to get my oil changed and no one returned my call. I called today twice and waited for a good 20 mins to finally talk to a man in the service department that down right refused to do my new 2021 dodge charger this week (like was scheduled). Before I could finish my sentence he hung up on me. Neither me nor my family will be go back to this dealership for anything. I called Hayesville and was answered right away and they are going to service my car first thing Thursday morning.

No high pressure sales from Mike Letterman. Took at least 3 weeks before i decided to buy a Fiat 124 Spider. They had sold their stock out but they went over 200 miles into SC to get one i had found that i liked. Fairly quick with paperwork before car arrive so all i had to do was pickup the car the next day.

Ill tell you what I walked in the dealership yesterday without wanting to buy a car and walked home with a brand new 2021 diesel Wrangler Ive been waiting 12 years for this motor to be put in this car.I cant believe the deal that they work with me I cant believe what they gave me for my old Wrangler and trade and these folks are very courteous theyre very helpful and they really want to sell you a car and they bend over backwards to make sure youre happy this is about my sixth or 7th vehicle that Ive bought from this dealership so Im very pleased with the steelership and you will be too if you go there

One of the worst dealership experiences I have had. They are very much cloak and dagger. Sales associates are unable to do anything without mangers approval and could not be more uninterested in me or the car I was looking at. I was very serious about purchasing a Jeep Renegade but they quickly changed my mind. I did not get to choose the vehicle I wanted to test drive- they picked a random one off the lot for me. The manager also tried to get me to purchase a Cherokee, after I clearly stated that was not the kind of vehicle I wanted because of its size, the manager told me that I was incorrect. They provided me with very unclear estimations of monthly payments that contradicted the price in the window of the car. Additionally, they acted like they were clueless as to the special promotions listed on their website. I had went to four other dealerships before this and had test driven two cars elsewhere and had a much more pleasant and honest experience.

On September 9th 2020, I had an appointment at 8:30am to fix my driver side speaker. Since I work night shift, I dropped off my car after work to get fixed. I planned on picking up my car before work that day. I went up to the dealership to check on my car and pick it up, only to find out that my car wasn’t done, even though it was the 2nd car in line at the door when I dropped it off. I went back up at 4:50pm, 25 minutes before my shift started, and waited until 5:10pm and I had to leave without my car. They finally called at 5:15 to let me know my car was done. I looked at the invoice, and it stated that they didn’t pull my car into the shop until after 1pm, even though I had a 8:30AM appointment. I usually have a good experience, but this time was not that great. I bring my car to this dealership because it’s close to home, but this experience makes me want to take my car elsewhere for service.

Great for oil changes. Fast and efficient, didnt have to wait long at all. I didnt have an appointment but next time I will call ahead. I bought my first Jeep there but not my second one. As a lone woman, with cash, I felt the salesman wasnt taking me seriously. I told him exactly what I wanted and he kept telling me that it would be impossible to find what I wanted. I went to another dealership and the guy found me exactly what I wanted. All I can say is huge mistake Auto Star, you lost a big sale.

For the most pleasurable car buying experience contact Mike Letterman. My first contact was with Brooke Banks via email, she responded promptly to all my emails. Once at the dealership we were greeted by Dale Hollifield who introduced us to our salesman Mike Letterman. Mike proved to be very knowledgeable of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we were looking at. He went over the vehicle completely and answered every question. He went with us for the test drive and was a pleasure talking with. While waiting for our trade in evaluation and during some of the negotiating our two children were kind of getting bored and Mike made my son a paper baseball and even pitched and played with him. I dont think you will find the kind of personality, patience, and personal engagement at any other dealership. I highly recommend Mike and Waynesville Automotive. We returned the next day to purchase the Jeep and Dan Schlitt had our financing ready to go and quickly processed and explained the terms and our options. Mike had the vehicle waiting for us and gave me a more in depth look at the functionality, even assisting me in hooking up bluetooth to my phone for the first time. We did find a small scratch on the hard top that service was unable to fix that day but Mike got us an appointment to have it fixed next week. 100% satisfied with my purchase from Waynesville Automotive. The photo Ive attached was taken after their posted closing time during the sales process trying to agree on pricing for the new Jeep vs my trade in. Mike was not in a hurry, he was not combative, this is the best salesman Ive ever purchased a vehicle from!

Was not impressed the guy did not listen to me. Very condensing and the car I was looking at had real bad rust on the back brakes . when test drove it I noticed a noise and the dealer told me that was the way the tires sound . I said no that sound like a Wheel bearing and or a rotor. So I left and went else where

Kaleb greeted me as I was perusing the lot. I happened to notice that they were offering significant discounts on some of the 2018 Dodges. He was very helpful in getting me the info. He was able to prepare all the necessary paperwork so that I could pick it up during my lunch break. He was friendly and courteous and made sure that he was available if I had any questions. This is the second vehicle that I have purchased from this dealership. In addition to Kaleb Dan was very helpful and made sure that I got the best financing available.

Found a used car on their website that I liked, got in touch with them and made plans to make the 3 hour drive to look at it. The car sold before I could make it up there. Stephanie invited me to make the drive anyways to see if I could find something else. As soon as I walked in, Manny greeted me and started trying to help me narrow down my search. The customer service was AMAZING and they worked all day long until they got me approved for the car I wanted, with a down payment and monthly payment that I could afford! I Will make the 3 hour drive every time I need to buy a car now, they worked with me when literally every other dealership said no. I love my 2020 chevy spark!

Recently moved to the area (Sylva) from out of state with a new vehicle. I needed to find a “local” dealership to have a recall fixed. AutoStar, Chrysler, Dodge.... provided a wonderful service as if I was a longtime customer that had bought my vehicle from them. They really value and appreciate the customer and provide honest, professional and personable service. My experiences will definitely influence where I buy my next vehicle from even if the price is a little higher than elsewhere. If a dealership is going to work hard to earn the trust of a new customer, I’m pretty sure they will work just as hard to retain that customer....time will tell.

The customer service and quality of work was unparalleled. I was in and out in under an hour with an oil change and tire rotation. Having said that, I feel that $185 is twice what should be charged. I can purchase all materials and do it my self for less than $70. I don’t mind paying a little extra but 2.5 times is a bit much.

John, Kaleb, and the sales team were great! I had been looking for a very specific work truck for months. After speaking with John he was able to locate exactly what I was looking for in minutes, and had it brought to the local dealership the next day. John also offered a very fair price for the vehicle, and made the whole buying process very easy. When the time comes to purchase another vehicle I will definitely return.

Great customer service. Friendly and helpful staff, vary knowledgeable and easy to work with. At no point did I feel pressured to make a purchase. I probably test drove half of there inventory before I made a decision and they were nothing but patient and accommodating

I used to recommend this dealership to everyone. Me and my kids and boyfriend went up here the other day. Ive NEVER been treated so rudely. Ive bought 2 vehicles from them in 2012 and 2013. I planned on trading in a Challenger and my boyfriend was going to buy a truck. I was completely IGNORED by the 3-4 sales people and my boyfriend catered to. Not to mention hes not experienced in buying cars I am. They NEVER took him to look at the used car lot. They just said we got a Chevy were pulling around. He test drove it and well in the middle of a conversation with me the woman RUDELY interrupted us and said you ready to take the next step and sign the papers? He told them his budget was preferably 300-$400 range and first choice was a Dodge truck or Chevy etc. His payment was over $500. Long story short they hooked, line and sank him. Wonder why they DIDNT take him around the lot or go look? I guarantee that they sold him the most expensive truck on the used lot. Well he traded in a older Dodge Dakota he got $3000 trade. Again I was completely ignored trying to trade in a 2012 Dodge Challenger with custom paint job and in extra good condition etc. That I bought from them with cash in 2012. Ive never been so disrespected. Me and my kids left. I told them Id never be back nor refer anyone else there. Theyve changed for the worst since changing names. Theyve turned rude, and pressure you and act very shady. Id think twice about buying from them.

Made an appointment. Greeted in a timely manner. Everything was addressed except tire gauge. Lounge chairs very uncomfortable, might not be happy with the person hogging TV remote. Service agent checking us in, nice and professional. It is all about the service and I was pleased.

Whenever we need maintenance done, we take our cars to Autostar for quick, reliable service. The only time it took longer than usual to get an oil change our service writer gave us a discount without me ever asking since we had to wait. Excellent staff and service!! Thank you

I just took our Jeep Cherokee in for an oil change and found out there was a manufacturer update needed to our car! They also rotated our tires and replaced a missing rear wiper blade. All was done in less than 2 hrs! I was able to wait in their excellent customer service area. They have a large flatscreen mounted, comfortable chairs, vending machines, and coffee. There were about 8 customers there waiting as well! We were all happy and pleased with the service we received! This is the only place I ever take our car. We bought it new from them in 2014! They are the absolute best in sales and service!
