I do not recommend going threw them unless you would like to receive your vehicle a quart low on oil with the oil cap not screwed in at all, also if you enjoy the smell of gasoline they will scent the inside of your car for you! Smells terrible of gas and I cant find the source.

Hear that they are good. They are by appointment only as I found out when I walked in. The mechanics seemed nice, but thier counter lady may need to get paid more. She seemed to have a medical condition that forces her to stick her nose really high in the air when a potential customer asks questions. I think it causes her pain as she seems to have a rather cranky disposition and may need extra cash to see a doctor about it.

Jeff and his staff are amazing! They are family friends and squeezed me in last minute for a business vehicle that was vital to my company. They also gave me a great price compared to other shops and did it exceptionally fast! Thanks again Knik Tire and Auto!

This was from last week.I was not impressed!Unfortunately. The receptionist wasnt there when I arrived. I arrived 10 minutes early....They open at 8 AM, but in my defense... the door was unlocked!There was 3 guys sitting there. I saif Morning, And when I walked up to the counter. I was not greeted what so ever. Finally one of the mechanics, got up and rolled his eyes, while he looked at the clock!He was very rude! And honestly, I should of taken my business elsewhere, right then and there!After the receptionist came in. She was very nice and helpful! I wish she was my first impression.The price wasnt bad though.Needless to say, I will not be going back there!Good Luck! 🤷‍♀️* Update : we took the truck somewhere else and got a totally different opinion. We saved 1/2 the money! I would not go in here if youre a woman. They will try to rip up off! *

Got all three vehicles tires changed over for winter at Knik Tire & Auto.staff is very helpful and friendly.they get the work done when they say they will. All 3 experiences Ive had with this place were great.i recommend them if you live near KGB.i have yet to use them to repair my vehicles but plan to take my wifes car there after the holidays.i expect to have another positive experience. Also,their prices are better than most from what I can tell.

Had my tires switched out here, no issues. Sitting area is nice with Keurig coffee bar. My appointment started on time and the job was done in a quick time frame. Employees were friendly, prices good. Will definitely be back this next spring and fall. Do remember to make an appointment in advance during tire season!

Here’s what makes Knik Tire a great place...we own several older cars. Jeff and his staff only fix what needs to be fixed. You don’t have to worry about them giving you an estimate for things that don’t need to be repaired. Over the years when I’m unsure whether to fix the car or not I’ve found that Jeff is someone I can trust, like asking an old friend what they would do. Go to Knik Tire.

They fixed my grandpas truck after another service facility had the truck 3 times and still didnt fix the brakes right. Thank you knik tire n auto for making his truck safe again.

I was referred to this place by my husband Vic who works at Eagle Eye Storage. Their business has been using them for a while now. They exceed your expectation in all realms. Very pleased and highly recommend this place for your oil changes or any tire needs.

Great service and honest work

What can I say, Jeff knows his stuff. Took my wifes Toyota Sequoia in for an alignment because her tires were wearing at different rates, especially the left rear, and it pulled to the left. Jeff said if your Toyota needs an alignment theres probably something wrong with it. Sure enough, a lower control arm bolt was broken on the left rear side. Its nice to have an honest and knowledgeable mechanic so close to home.

Jeff is fair and honest which is hard to come by in the automotive industry these days. He charged me $90 for an automatic transmission fluid change when Midas was going to charge $269. I was more then happy to drive from Eagle River to obtain their services. Thanks Knik Tire & Auto!

Good quality service, never been disappointed. Pricing is fair & competitive for the area. They stand by their work & very ethical. Had a tire repair needed, they did their best but due to a manufacturing seem oddity they couldnt quite seal it 100% & heavily discounted the repair despite my wanting to pay for their time in full.

I have been going to Knik tire and Auto since I was 16 with my very first vehicle. Jeff and his team have always been efficient, honest, and fairly priced.If you’re looking for things to be done the right way, Knik tire and Auto has my recommendation.

I stopped by with a very flat tire and got a quick response. The gentleman assessed the tire was damaged and suggested I use my spare tire to get home. He removed the tire from my vehicle, inflated it, changed out the old tire and wished me luck. I asked what the charge was and he waved me off. I really appreciate his promptness and using his time and equipment to help me out. I hope to do business there in the future!

Very poor craftsmanship. I had an issue with my car overheating. I took it into this business and they discovered I had an upper radiator hose issue. They stated it would be 1 hr diagnostic charge, 1 hr repair charge, and the cost of the replacement part. That was fine with me. 1 week later I am on my daily work commute and the same thing happens to my car. This time I have to get a tow as I am on the highway and not in town. I get it towed to a different auto shop and let them know the history. They find that Knik Tire and Auto shop did in fact replace 1/2 of the upper radiator hose but not the other 1/2 the coupling part which had now failed. I think they should have replaced the entire thing personally. So this cost me double for the same problem + the cost of a tow for shoddy work performed by this auto shop. UPDATE changed my review to 4 stars as they did offer to pay 1/2 the tow, and explained that the part is sold in 2 separate pieces. I am happy to get something back, I didnt expect anything.

I wasnt actually a patron here, but I got a pretty flat tire and swung in to see if they had air. The gentleman not only filled up the flat tire himself, but then checked the other three as well! Super kind and I am very grateful. Thank you!!

Fair price on tires, good service promt good custermer service

The guys at the Tire & Auto are wonderful. Being a single woman and having to deal some not honest mechanic, Knik is a breath of fresh air. I took my car in after check engine light came on and my fixed said there was 3 things wrong. None of them sounding good. They got me right in and had my car ready the next day. Running like new!! I am a loyal Knik tire and auto fan . I was treated kindly, with respect, and I still have my savings. These guys are the mechanics you are looking for.

I am always taken care of at this auto shop. I am treated fairly and not over charged. I had to get towed to this place because my shifter stopped working. I was out of there in less than an hour with the repair and it has all worked well since then. I strongly recommend them to anyone.

Jeff changed out the knock sensors on our Hummer H2 LS engine on time & price. They have also worked on our 1976 Chevy short van in the past with excellant results.Thanks Jeff!

This was the first time we used the services at Knik Tire & Auto.We had our car towed here from Settlers Bay on Friday, March 31. They diagnosed a broken sensor that needed replacement. They needed a part from Anchorage so our car wasnt completed until Monday, April 3 (but thats kind-of expected when youre waiting for parts and its a weekend).The staff is friendly, professional, and honest. If I had to critique them about anything it would be that I had to call them every day to check the status of my vehicle (that seems to be a universal mechanic trait), but that wouldnt stop me from going to them again if I needed to.I would definitely recommend this business to anyone who needs an auto mechanic.

Went here for winter tires. Got me in within a week during peak winter tire season. Very professional and fast. Knew enough about tires to change the size of tire I already had on my pickup to a more common size to save time. Didnt get that same attention from another tire shop I had contacted.Only complaint is they didnt match the tires to my TPS computer (mine shows individual tires) but its no big deal since I check my tires regularly and I never mentioned it.
