This is an excellent little place. It’s been awhile since I’ve been here, but the other day I had ordered a brownie sundae. When they gave it to me, I thought they gave me the wrong order until I opened the massive container. They’ve really upgraded since my last visit. The large Sundae is 3x bigger than what it used to be, and tastes even better too. The brownie was moist, with lots of chocolate sauce. It was a nice surprise. The workers have always been pleasant and the area is always clean, with the exception of a few rude customers who don’t know how to throw their garbage away. Ive only eaten a few of their very long list of food items, but what I have had was pretty good. I recommend this place.

(But you can find some info here: Link)We are here to talk about the ice cream shack of……. Sunnyland. My friend Matt and I decided to come here after grabbing some pizza from Aurelio’s in Peoria. After having some greasy pizza, you need something sweet and delectable to wrap up after a day of exceeding the recommended number of calories per day.We arrived shortly after the sun went down. You almost wouldn’t be able to tell as the line of cars in their drive-thru was enough to make it seem like midday. That is a bit of an exaggeration but whenever I cruise by and it’s ‘ice cream shack season’, there is a line about 10-15 cars deep. This night was no exception.After squeezing in a parking spot, we got in the human line that wasn’t as long as the car line but still impressive for the time of day. As we had plenty of time to look over the menu, Matt and I couldn’t help but remark at the millions of items on the menu. The size of the building leads you to be fooled in to thinking that this place serves only the basics. It felt like reading a novel as I looked over the dozens of options.I’m not sure what Matt ordered but I remember getting a peanut butter malt/shake/blizzard. I don’t remember what the specific type of ice cream novelty drink it was but I remember it being delicious. I could tell by Matt’s smile that he was equally enjoying his drink as well.Not wanting to be locked in the parking spot by the ever-long line from the drive thru, we hopped in at took off.Since it was a quick visit, this is a short post. I have only been here the one time but I would love to revisit some day and try the bazillions of food offerings they have along with another peanut butter… anything.Yeah, I have a peanut butter addiction.

Great treats for the family. A little hard to get into sometimes though. Should expand the drive up line further back to accommodate more cars. There is room there. Its a little dangerous when we have to form a line in the street on both sides. In those cases we just turn around and head somewhere else.

Ice cream options seem endless, and the service is always very quick. I cant speak much for the regular food, but we have always been happy with the ice cream. Only negative is there are no descriptions of the options, but they are more than willing to let you know what is in each dessert.

Cheeseburger was great, fries were amazing but the ice cream wasnt my favorite. We had Heath Wizard, Medium and the ice cream seemed... I dont really know how to describe it other than it wasnt creamy like Dairy Queen, kind of watery? Will go back for a cheeseburger occasionally but not gonna be an ice cream go-to for us.

Prices were reasonable and the food was decent. Great place to eat if the weather is nice as the seating is outdoors only. My pup loved the doggie sundae they have

Never a disappointment whether it is food or ice cream always worth the wait. A must try is the brownie sundae- the brownie is the best brownie you will ever eat in fact they have to be homemade.

Jumbo chocolate malt,and chilli cheese tots the best

They have my favorite milkshake and the man that is manager and works during the weekdays knows how to make my shakes like nobody else and doesnt need any clues as to who I am

Since they have opened this year they have messed our items up four times. With Covid and the pressure of having a small business we let it go and kept going. I asked for a wizard with extra toppings and when I go to my car I noticed there was barley any toping so I asked to re make it or add more and the manager accused me of eating it first. I was treated really unfairly and paid for the extra toppings. This year they have been extremely rude to their customers.

This is heaven on earth, I have never experienced a better experience than here

Paid $3.49 plus tax for chicken bites...and they were basically breading with 1 cm of dark meat chicken in a few tiny pieces...Then I got a childs shake and it was the size of a marinara container..paid $1.50..way to high for the amount.Luckily they refunded the money for the chicken....not coming back here anytime soon for dinner items..

The food is excellent here! I have had a burger and fries and I have also had their Wizards. I prefer their soft serve ice cream over a a popular national chain. If tastes better and you get more for your money at Ice Cream Shack.I also want to give a shoutout to the friendly staff. We weren’t aware that they had changed their hours, because it was nearing the end of summer. We got there right as they were closing. I looked at the posted hours and then started to walk away. A worker noticed and asked my friend an I if we wanted to place an order. Many places would not have done this, but they seemed pleased and appreciative to have our business.

The service is quick even though theyre always busy :) the prices are fair and the staff is wonderful! Always a joy to head up to The Shack after supper and catch up with people from the community and have a great treat!

Awesome ice cream. The flavors are awesome. I love the flavors of everything. It is also extremely consistent. This is an absolute huge plus. The mixed ice creams are consistent all the way through, and you can depend on everything tasting the way you expect it to no matter who is on shift.

Great place to stop for ice cream or a chili dog! We bring the kids here when were in the area and they love the wizards. Great selection; the menu is full of difference choices for whatever you desire at the moment. Chocolate ice cream, vanilla, and about every other flavor imaginable can be added. The variety of food is good too. I would highly recommend the chili cheese dog and an oreo wizard to go with it. Makes the perfect summertime snack or dinner. Highly recommended!

This is the best place to get ice cream or frozen yogurt around town! It’s so much better than Dairy Queen and a lot more reasonable. I love the setting too and the hometown feel. The food is also really good. I am addicted to the cheese fries! My husband and I always share an order because they give you so much food! Bring your own bottled water though because they charge.

Ice cream is great, the food is good but the layout can be frustrating. Definitely worth checking out but be warned. If you go when it’s busy and park on the west side of the lot, the drive thru can fill up and depending on who’s blocking you in, it could be a while before you’re able to get out of the parking lot. Park on the east side if possible and you’ll be good. Ice cream is delicious and service is almost always very good.

My family and I are recent transplants to Washington and were seeking out a new ice cream shop. The service was good except for the gentleman behind the counter explained what a wizard was by saying its exactly like dairy queen. The prices were decent about $7 for two shakes. The issue I had was with the shakes themselves they tasted like milk that had been frozen then slightly thawed. The sitting areas were immaculate the drive through area was very nice my only issue was with the product or ultimately the reason me and my family go

Best place for summer hangout. I love the rootbeer float and fired mushroom here. They have lot of snacks, drink and deserts on menu.

Hidden gem that is amazing. Huge variety of ice cream options. Food selection is nice as well. They are usually busy but the drive thru still moves along fairly well. Rarely get an incorrect order, I think its only happened once with food, never with ice cream.

They have regular ice cream and only 8 yogurt-a special flavor of the day as well as vanilla. They have a lot of different blizzard combos also which are unique and tasty. Im not sure about the food but the ice cream is Good! They also have a true baby cone which I like because thats hard to find for my kids. More expensive considering how much ice cream you get vs ice cream shack of peoria.

My favorite spot for decently priced ice cream in the Peoria area! Ive never had a bad experience. The dog Sunday is perfect when Im walking my grandparents dog in the summer! Highly recommend this shop!

Ice Cream Shack in Sunnyland has the best ice cream in the area. Its outdoor eating at its finest. They serve food like hamburgers and hotdogs, but I always go there for their ice cream. There are numerous topping flavors to go on top of your cone or sunday, Im more of a vanilla person. You can order at the window or go through their drive through. There are benches to eat at in a park like setting. I go out of my way to eat ice cream here. Closed for the winter but will be open when warmer outside.

The prices are reasonable and the portions are large. A double cookie dough wizard is my favorite. It is served with a scoop of cookie dough on top! The ice cream options are endless and they are one of the one places that knows the difference in a Reeces cup and Reeces pieces.

Yummm. The food rates better. I believe the owner has shot himself in the foot by not being open for lunch. Cant count the number of times I have driven by and wanted to stop, only to see it was closed. Disappointed.
