The place was nice, but I can see how it would get crowded quickly while people wait for their orders. The ice cream was good, but I can’t say it was great or life changing. The milkshake was not good at all. I don’t know if it was the vegan ice cream or the milkshake all together. I did enjoy the waffle cone that they made on the spot. The worst part was definitely the service. The two people behind the counter serving the ice cream were some of the rudest people. We waited way longer than necessary for ice cream that was forgotten to be made. When we approached the girl and told her we were still waiting for one more she went on to make ice cream for another party that came well after us. This place was not organized or prepared. They were behind on making waffle cones and that delayed the process. She was not friendly at all. I won’t be returning.
Easily some of the best ice cream Ive ever had. Im tempted to have it shipped to me when I leave DC!Update: just had ice cream shipped up to me (in the middle of a heatwave) and I have to say that the ice cream was well packaged and just as delicious as in person! There were minimal sections where the ice cream started to really soften and the box was well insulated. The printed note topped off an excellent purchase experience.
I called the store to make sure they had pints of the blueberry pie flavor before it went out of season. They assured me they did and would not run out of the flavor. When I arrived at the store after driving all the way from Frederick, there were no pints and the employees said they were out. Well…
I dont want to make this a competition with the flashy Jenis across the street, but Jubilees offerings are interesting, varied, and seasonally rotating. If you like tea flavors, be sure to check this place out - matcha green tea, Thai iced tea, and roasted barley tea are all excellent.
Very good ice cream. They have an great selection of flavors and they are all great.I like that they provide vegans options, but I have to say they arent the best. The flavor of the vegan ice cream was good but the texture was too ice-y.
Marion berry and Thai Tea are my favorite!!My wife and I discovered Ice Cream Jubilee and it’s become our standard for great ice cream wherever we go.The ice cream has a nice body to it with an appropriate level of density. It doesn’t melt immediately, allowing you to savor the full flavor of each bite.
This place literally has something for everyone. They have a rice water ice cream if you have dietary restrictions or if you are gluten free. So ice cream for everyone and if you like handmaid ice cream then this is the place for you with various types of flavours However it is very small and it is not possible to eat inside whether the pandemic is going or not
The Thai tea ice cream flavor is on my top three best ice cream flavors ever. It legit tastes like a good cup of Thai tea. They also have great seasonal and occasional flavors that you should check out. This place has won many local and regional awards for their ice cream, and they’re all well earned. Great service and wonderful ice cream.
Only thing better than the ice cream, the amazing employees!!! Perfectly fresh wake cones with ice cream made with love. The non-dairy passion fruit guava is delightful and perfect for a hot, humid summer night in the city
Ice Cream Jubilee is a nice small ice cream shop with plenty of delicious flavors to choose! I went with the chocolate waffle cone with 3 flavors of ice cream, Thai Iced Tea, Marionberry, and Honey Lemon Lavender. The good: Each ice cream flavor was exceptionally delicious! The taste was sweet and the flavor was strong so you can actually taste the flavor ordered! My favorite is probably the Thai Iced Tea, so I will be happy to return to order more of this!Overall, definitely will be making a return trip! Love the flavors, and want to try them all.
Clean, safe environment. Good assortment of flavors, including non dairy options. Cookie sundae was on point!
Absolutely wonderful, creamy ice cream that isnt overly sweet and bursts with flavor. Astonishing variety of unusual flavors for the adventurous with respect given to the classics.
Fun flavors. Offers self service kiosk. Outdoor seating only. Sources from local diaries.
I purchased Jubilees banana bourbon caramel ice cream from Whole Foods, and it is the Best ice cream Ive had in my life to date. Its just an amazing explosion of different flavors. Quite an experience! Thank you for creating this flavor!! Please dont stop making it lol.
I had one of the dairy-free flavors, and it was delicious! Id love to see even more dairy-free options to choose from in the future, too.
One of my favorite spots for ice cream in D.C., or really anywhere! I love their mix of flavors, and if youre plant-based, they have quite a few dairy-free options too. I always go back to Thai iced tea and marionberry, but you really cant go wrong here. (Also really looking forward to spring and summer flavors, and keeping my fingers crossed for lemon muffin top in particular...) The staff is also super helpful and patient, so if you cant decide on a flavor, just ask!
Their mango habanero and horchata ice creams were mind-blowing!!
So delicious! I always get the Cookies and Cookie Dough. Also their waffle cones are great.
Great shop, and Im a fan of the passion fruit guava sorbet. The manager and employee were both very nice.
The woman on the register was super rude. I had a confusion about cups and cones at first, because I always got the Ice cream jubilee by pints from markets and it was my first time ordering from store by scoops. When she was telling if I want it in a cone or cup she also said in such a rude way “you cant eat the ice cream with your hand” duh😂 I know that. And I just smiled and didnt say anything.Anyways I love Ice cream Jubilee, and I dont want this business’s reviews to be affected because of an employee. I just wanted to write the review so the owner can be aware of that.
Very clean and great staff. Need more locations
Love this place! It’s surrounded by great bars and restaurants, and their flavors are both unique and delicious. I highly recommend the Thai iced tea. If you’re wondering what it tastes like, it tastes like...a thai iced tea. For real though. Unfortunately for them, they’re also about one block away from the BEST ICE CREAM I’VE EVER HAD so I can’t give them the same number of stars.
😋 delicious Bourbonbuzz scooped up in sweet crispy waffle w🧇file cone 😋
Limited choice of ice cream flavors. Good service.
Service was great! I just think they are over priced. 2 small bowls and a water cost $15
Me and my wife drive from Alexandria atleast 1 weekend every month to get ice cream. That should say alot.
Ice cream was hawt. Waffle cone was on fire. Literally though, cone was too warm. Ice cream dripping all over the place. Wear closed toed shoes
The ice cream flavors are superbly delicious. The outdoor space is a bit small.
I am an ice cream queen & Jubilee is HANDS DOWN the best ice cream in the DMV. Delicious!!! Get the matcha & thai iced tea. Thank me later!
I got 2 scoops in a waffle bowl of Chocolate Chocolate and MarionBerry with Graham Crackers — it was delicious!Waffle bowls were also made fresh right before scooping our ice cream! 🙌
It’s literally June 2021 and they are requiring people to wear masks still. So much for trusting the science…
Horchata.... flavored... ICE CREAM!!?!??!🤩Im in 💕
I get it, you cant eat inside, thats fine. However, why would you kick people out into a torrential downpour after they just bought ice cream? Not even letting folks wait for an Uber/Lyft? Why be unnecessarily awful to your customers? The Horchata ice cream was mediocre.
My friend sent me a 6-pack of Ice Cream Jubilee’s vegan ice cream through the Goldbelly website. They ended up sending some flavors that were different than what was listed on the Goldbelly website. 4 were labeled vegan, one was labeled non-dairy, and the last one didn’t have any kind of dietary marking. There are no ingredient/nutritional information labels on the packaging, and they don’t have full ingredients lists on the website so I emailed them. Seeing “non-dairy” is always a red flag to me. It turns out that their “non-dairy Snickers Snickerdoodle” that I received is made with real Snickers bars, so it’s not non-dairy let alone vegan. They told me “the ice cream is the non-dairy element.”This is extremely dangerous as their lack of care could make people really sick. I can not recommend this business.
This is most overrated ice cream I ever had. This ice cream taste like Boga
Thank you! The ice cream truly is great! Had an issue with my order, but the owner personally took care of the issue. I appreciate it. Give them a try, you won’t regret it. Honestly, some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. I love that they have vegan options!
Ice cream was bomb at, the wife and I loved the place!
My favourite! I’m new in town and looking for hot chocolate, like the kind from belgium. Although it’s far from Belgium, I really like their Nutella hot chocolate. I might try their peppermint one next time. It’s delicious!
They a lot of flavors but the ones they do have are awesome.
Good ice cream but looooooong wait times. I really like this place and I come often but I cannot, for the life of me, understand why it takes 30 mins (literally) to get my ice cream every time I go. I order ahead, sit down and wait... wait... wait. I often wonder, if I peek my head in back, if I’ll find someone hand churning cream coming fresh from a cow out back. Unfortunately, the long wait times almost balance out the quality ice cream for me.
Ill probably never have another waffle cone as amazing as what I had here.
Ice Cream Jubilee is open for pickup during COVID-19. My partner and I decided to walk here and get two pints after being cooped up at home and we decided on the Thai iced tea and the honey lemon lavender. The ice cream is such great quality and it’s nice to support local businesses especially now.
I mean... Solid. Toasted barley tea ice cream.... Yasssss
I love their seasonal flavors! Favorite ice cream place in DC. Staff is super friendly as well.
We have been here since it was a bake house it has never failed us!P.S It’s the best ice cream in town.
Great local small business. Ice cream is great, also can order all sorts of gluten free baked goods for pickup
Ice cream wes very very good. I got blueberry pie and it tasted just like it, with bits of crust and everything. Staff was friendly. Cute outdoor seating area. The peices however were very high for the amount you received.
I really liked the ice cream I had from Ice Cream Jubilee. It is a cute, tiny shop on T St. that you can almost miss, if you didnt see a bunch of people walking out of their door licking their double scoops and munching on their waffle cones.I cant recall the flavors I had at the moment, just know that they were delish. There were only about three flavours that were vegan, and they didnt know if the waffle cones were vegan-friendly, so I got mine in a bowl - these are the reasons I give it 4 instead of 5 stars. Otherwise they wouldve gotten a 5. Their customer service was great, the atmosphere was cute, and the ice cream was delicious.I highly recommend you getting a double scoop at Ice Cream Jubilee!
Love love love this ice cream. Recently I got the cookie volcano sundae and it was delicious. I always get the cookies and cookie dough flavor, its my favorite. The maple rye pecan was pretty good and the vegan chocolate was alright
Wonderful place! Had a MOUTH WATERING delicious warm soft amazing best ever snickerdoodle cookie. Was fresh out of the oven too. The sweet cream honey (similar to cold stones sweet cream but better) and the Thai iced tea ice creams were perhaps the best Ive creams Ive ever tasted. So happy! Cant wait to go back again soon.
They have the BEST waffle cones. They are somehow soft and crisp at the same time. Makes a big difference.
Flavors of all ice cream are always amazing. I enjoy the banana bourbon the most
Oh my god, this place is to die for. I absolutely loved the ice cream. They have such unique and delicious flavors, and the cookies--by God, youve gotta have a scoop of ice cream on those warm, chocolate chip cookies. I was in D.C. for one day--just one day--with my friends, and this place definitely made it worth it. The staff was completely charming and lovely, too. If you end up in D.C. for even just an hour--youve gotta spend that time at Jubilees.
Love the ice cream however service is HORRIBLE! Why am I getting attitude from employees?!!!
This ice cream is incredible. I tried 3 different flavors: cookies and cookie dough, fresh minty chip, and caramel popcorn. All 3 were delicious -- the fresh minty chip uses real mint leaves in it so its extremely refreshing, the caramel popcorn is just a very good salted caramel flavor, and the cookies and cookie dough is this incredible mix of big chunks of cookies and creme and cookie dough. I ended up going with the cookies and cookie dough and could not have been happier with the decision. Jenis, across the street, is great for some unique and inspired flavors if you want to be on the adventurous side but Ice Cream Jubilee definitely has beloved, tried and true flavors that I certainly prefer over anything crazy.
Wow, amazing ice cream. Yes, they do have the alcohol flavors for the future AA members. But they also have good ice cream. Their website has a list of current flavors. Got the regular (which is two scoops) in a waffle cone (which was too soft but good flavor). The first flavor was Cookies & Cookie Dough and the second was Honey Lemon Lavender. Both were so wonderful, I cant pick a favorite. Best ice cream I have found in DC.
May be the best ice cream I’ve ever had! The flavors are exciting and some of them surprising yet delicious.
Apple Butter Oatmeal Cookie! Love the flavor combination. If you’re looking for a fall ice cream that reminds you of your grandmothers home baked apple pie with a side of vanilla ice cream then I highly recommend checking this out. The staffs are friendly and they’ll let you try different flavors until you find the right one for you. I’m super impressed with flavors of the ice cream.
This is without a doubt one of my favorite ice cream shops, The ice cream is beautiful to look at and incredibly tasty. The shop isnt too big, it always lines and the outdoor space is limited. The shop is clean the staff is friendly. Its hard to decide with flavor to get it. Make sure you tasted as many possible before making a decision you wont regret it.
Loved the thai iced tea and lavender ice cream! My favorite ice cream in all of DC!
Took my sister here for a treat after spending the day at the national zoo. Quick, friendly service, great ice cream too! My sister tried the Marionberry ice cream and liked it, I had the fresh minty chip ice cream which was also good! I liked that they offered reusable cups and spoons if you eat in-store that you can return up front when you’re done. Was a nice treat on a long sunny day :)
I think the passion fruit guava is the closest thing I have tasted to the complete embodiment of summer. It is amazing!
Great little spot. Decently priced ice cream and some awesome, unique flavors. Definitely a must visit.
A nice variety of unique flavors. The service was also excellent.
Have tried twice and loved the unique crafty flavors!
Absolutely the best tasting ice cream shop in the area. Samples, Good Service, Reasonably priced. I highly recommend
One of the best ice cream shops I have ever been to! Ice Cream Jubilee is situated in a really nice area of DC (great nightlife and variety of shops and such around), however parking, I found, is rather limited and I wish you the best of luck finding close parking. The workers were among the nicest people Ive ever met, helping customers with what they call their journey to find the perfect flavor for them (see pictures for what the shop looks like and their variety of flavors). While I consider the ice cream a tad bit expensive, the flavors are totally worth it! I highly recommend visiting this shop if you are looking for great ice cream in DC!
Please order the blueberry pie ice cream flavor. It is seasonal so it may not be available when you request it, Its amazing! Reasonably priced for 1 to 3 scoops all around. Really worth the visit and lives up to the reputation of the reviews I saw on google. The banana bourbon is a good alternative if you are unsure. :)
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS LIL ICE CREAM PARLOR! As soon as you walk in, your not only greeted by the staff, but the aroma of freshly made sugar cones. The ice cream is superb, and the variety to choose from, along with the variations of creations, are truly delicious and authentic. My favorite is the Marion Berry ice cream! In my opinion, the price isnt too expensive, because of the quality of the ice cream and flavor!!!
Great ice cream parlor. It is nice that they will let you sample any flavor you want. Helpful and friendly staff. A bit pricey but if youre in DC, give them a try, you wont regret it.
The best ice cream in DC! Consistently delicious, a wonderful treat. I love fresh minty chip the most.
Gentrification at its finest. This is a cute modern ice cream shop in DC. Not much seating, prices high, and interesting flavors. Waffle cone was so thin it broke and all the ice cream went on the floor when they handed it over the counter.
Unique flavors and great service. I had the spicy strawberry ginger Ive cream. Not spicy but the ginger is there and delicious! We say youre and enjoyed the weather and a treat.
Standard ice cream. Good website for ordering and quick service.
Sweeet Crimes which operates out of here is the bombbb. their gluten free selection was a great find and I cant wait for an official store front!
Stopped by at 6pm on a weekday and the service was stellar! The cones on hand werent fresh so he made me a fresh one without me even asking. Sweet and crispy cone, amazing ice cream! Didnt melt too fast, creamy, fresh, and great flavors (I had strawberry tres leches, chocolate chocolate, and cookies & cookie dough). Ill be back!
Below average ice cream. Nothing special. Couldn’t even finish it. Threw it away.Reply: yes, the ice cream was too crystallized and lacked enough cream. Too clarify, I’m not talking about the sorbet flavors.
This is the best Ice Cream i have ever had. Great music, Great workers, Great place to cool down. I have tasted every flavor :-) Love it!
