I have been going this location for over 20 years (before it was taken over by MyEyeDr. and today was my last visit. The last time I went I waited more than an hour past my appointment time to be seen. It was so late that I had to make a separate appointment to get my eyes dilated. During that appointment I waited over an hour to get the drops put in to dilate and then nearly another hour until the doctor looked at my eyes. This place needs a complete overhaul.
The office manager called me to remind me of my appointment. She continued to ask me about a street address and insurance details because I didnt fill them out on their website. I indicated to her that I felt that it was not secure and I didnt want to fill them out at a not secured website. I asked her whether or not I would be able to provide her with my details in person. She replied by saying that without these information that I cant provide over the phone, then she must cancel my appointment. What sort of customer service is that? If you treat me disrespectfully I will cancel my appointment myself. Please train your office manager what customer services are all about. She shouldnt be working there. So rude.
It was a very clean office, the staff was kind and knowledgeable and the doctor I saw was capable and had very good bedside manner. They accepted my insurance and that greatly reduced the otherwise high cost and they gave me a nice discount on my second pair of glasses that I could come back and purchase anytime I want.I had a very good experience with them, both times!
The staff is rude. My glasses took longer than they were supposed to and the only thing I was repeatedly told is that they were in process. When I was finally able to pick them up they were going to hand them to me in a bag. I had to ask for them to be fitted. The tech told me to put them on and looked at them and said they looked good. As everyone that gets glasses knows this is not how glasses are fit. The glasses are useless to me. They slide down my nose and the bifocal (which is visible) is in my line of distance vision. DONT GO HERE
This is the worst office of My Eye Dr. that I have been to. I will not give them any more of my money. The office is clean, the Dr was excellent, however, the front staff is rude. They do not fit your glasses, just hand them to you. Guess they are good to go.
Former patient in which my most recent visit was 12/19. Received notice from MVA that my drivers license was due for renewal. Correspondence from MVA clearly stated that eye exams within the last two years is sufficient for there renewal needs. Contacted this location to request that my exam information be uploaded into the MVA system. They informed me that it was their policy to deny the request because my exam was more than 12 months old. I contacted their patient advocacy division who agreed with my assessment that my information should be provided to the MVA. After speaking with patient advocacy representative who sent an email of his position to the Office Manager. She contacted me to inform me that they still refuse to upload my information.Im very disappointed with this response. This is clearly a ploy to have patients return for eye exams when its not required by law. I had an upcoming appointment scheduled for August 2021. I canceled and me and my family will seek a new eye care provider. I recommend that those reviewing this rating do likewise.UPDATE:As initially requested, they provided my exam information to the MVA.I should not have had to exert this much effort for something that was clearly outlined in the MVA documents. Im thankful that they took actions to correct their erroneous interpretation. My family has moved on to a new eye-care provider.
Void Void Void- You have been WarnedPoor Quality GlassesSub Par Customer ServiceI have been a patient here for at least 10 years. They were experts in eye care and glasses. Excellent in eye health, they took the time to explain your medical concerns as they relate to your eyes. There glasses were of high quality, with the glass makers on site. Not so much today.I walked up to the desk, to return my glasses, which were scratch up in the first three weeks. The ladies at the desk, were so busy looking a computer screens and on the phone, they ignored my 6 foot statue for 5 mins, until i had to insert myself INTO their busy work. I explained to them that my right lens was all scratched up. One lady said go speak to name. I said, whose that? then they pointed over to a gentleman sitting with a laptop. He was great, he listened to my concerns, and entered the data to replace my lens. Its funny how, we as customers are considered a bother when we walk in. Guess the ladies up front wasnt taught customer service, and the importance of greeting and addressing customers who walk in.Then I called the office two days before my lens, is due in. Just to ask, it they had arrived to the site for pick up. I was told my expected date. Again, they rep on the phone did not address my question, by acknowledging my question. It was more important to her to tell me my expected date. No confidence in super exceeding expectation of your glass builder. Can you at least go check? Asking too much I guess.Last straw, while waiting for my lens to arrive the opposite lens is now scratched up. I have glasses from this office 4-7 years old with NO SCRATCHES. Whoever making their glasses now is awful, cheaply made, thin, no protective covering. Although they keep telling me You have ALL the protection.Do yourself a favor, get you glasses made yourself over seize. or from another company. I have pairs from Asia that have out performed this office EASY.Now lets see, the office manger, encourage me to come pick up these cheaply made lens as a solution. or blame me for the care of my glasses.June 13th update still NO GLASSESSo I go to pickup my glasses, after calling today to confirm that my glasses are ready for pickup. And receiving a text a few days ago to “pickup” my glasses.Get to the office on my lunch break, and NO GLASSES the glasses were sent back. Because it took too long for me to get here and pick them up. I received the text June 5 today is June 13. This place continues on disappoint . I paid 400 dollars for an exam and glasses that I do not have. This empty parking lot, speaks VOLUMES
Customer service here is definitely subpar, I would give zero stars if I could. Doctor was ok but when picking out glasses there was no offer to help with selection or showing me frames to match what I currently have. Other offices I’ve been to would pull out different frame choices to show me, this guy who “helped” us just said We have a lot of frames like that and waved his hand around the store basically telling me to find them. I spent over $500 for my glasses and my son’s glasses, he got an Oakley and I got a Bebe. His came in a nice Oakley case, mine came in a generic case. I’ve bought Bebe frames several times in the past and always received a Bebe case with them. When I asked I was told that their office doesn’t get the cases??? When spending over $200 on a pair of glasses, you would think to at least get the matching case, especially when they advertise them with the case online. Also when we picked up our glasses, they did not check the fit or make adjustments if needed, like they do at other offices we’ve been to. This office definitely did not deserve our business, this was the first and last time I spend my money there!
Very knowledgeable doctor. Excellent service.
In the mist of the pandemic they never reach to most of their customers to let them know they was send glasses straight to there home and after 3 months, them sending my $400 glasses to someone else house I finally received my glasses thanks to the associate James... He’s the hero but I would no longer do business with them no more... Your loss a faithful 8 years customer
The doctors are great. Corporate is well, corporate. Clean office. Nice staff. Have been going to them since I moved to somd 9 years ago.
First time dealing with MyEyeDr.com and definitely the last one. This service and location are definitely worth 5 negative stars. I made an appointment 10 days in advance, online as recommended through their phone system. Day of the appointment I took the afternoon off from work, drove to their location in Waldorf to be told that my name wasnt even in their system. Strange as I had to fill out my complete information on their website form, including insurance info.Long story short, if I were to be on the verge of losing an eye and this was the only place open, I would buy an eye patch.
I called this location a total of 3 times, once to verify they received my release information;once to verify resent information was received;and once to see if information was sent to me after site would not honor my request to send to another vendor I had chosen. Gentleman gets on the phone (which I had never spoken to) and informed me that I was holding him up by calling. CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!SUCKS!
Due to construction traffic I was going to be 5mins late for my appointment on October 16th @10:30am. So I called out of curiosity, to inform the receptionist that I would be a 5mins late. She said I quote after putting me on hold multiple times That is not going to work Mr. Hunter, we will have to reschedule and the next available date is December 9th. I replied Are you serious right now, over 5mins? She said Yes, I replied No thank you, I will just find a new eye doctors because that is completely extreme and absurd
My husband and I went here for our annual exam. The customer service in this place is horrible, starting with the front desk personnel. It is like someone is putting a gun to their heads to make them work there. It’s really unfortunate because I really liked Dr. Nunez, and told her we would love for her to be our eye doctor. She is the only employee that we received a passionate, professional and very friendly feeling from, and we interacted with a total of five employees during our overall visits, to include picking up the glasses. I am a first timer of wearing prescribed glasses in particular bifocals. My husband was concerned about my glasses because I was still complaining about seeing clearly with them on, so he told me to go back in so they can let me read a card with them on. Lisa was first asked to help me then an African american male assisted instead. Lisa helped us initially to pick out the glasses. She is the only name I know except the doctors. She was okay, but didnt demonstrate she had much patience with newbies, same as the pick up guy. Sorry, Dr. Nunez as long as you are at this location I do not plan on coming back. Doctor’s visits can be stressful enough for me, and I need my overall interaction to be trustworthy and customer service friendly with the staff. We just didn’t get there here, the employees seemed unhappy and forced to be there.
I loved my experience here. The warm welcome from the time I walked in the door, his screening, and his eye exam were all executed with exceptional customer service and care. My 5 year old son had an eye exam with Dr. Williams and he was excellent with him! He made it a fun experience and very comfortable for my son. Unfortunately, my son had to have his eyes dilated and that was no fun, but Dr. Williams, turned his his tears into a smile. Upon picking out my son eyeglasses, the representative that assisted me, was very helpful with explaining what my benefits covered. I highly recommend this location and look forward to our next visit. The staff is awesome!!!
Zero stars if I could, the doctor is great unfortunately, the front office staff is another story, especially since they have been taken over by My Eye Doctor! I have since changed but had to call this office to get my script sent over, of course it takes an act of God...run, dont go there, change if you are a patient, there is better care and pride in customer service at other eye doctors, trust me, youll be glad you did.
My experience at this location could have been better. I was seen by the doctor she was very nice and took her time with my appointment and answered all my questions. The gentleman that helps with picking out frames where also very friendly and helpful. More than what I can say for the Bs that work at the front. Danielle was rude and unprofessional, she act like me calling and asking her questions was too much for her. Her demeanor over the phone is a careless one. Taylor was not much of any help either very rude. I had an appointment Yesterday and I was given a trial pair of contact lenses to try. The Doctor told me to call back if they did not work out for me and I called and was told I needed to be seen again to change my contacts to the brand that i already wear. I just think this place is a bit of a scam for insurance money. I will never go back to this location again, I will continue to drive to Mechanicsville where the doctor is better and the staff is always friendly and helpful. THIS LOCATION SUCKSSSSS!!!!!
I have been to this location several times with my elderly mother. Lisa did a great job the last time we where there .Hope she stays there for a while. She is Manager material...
Amazing!!! I was very nervous about bringing my 2 kids to my appt. When I say I have never felt so welcomed and comfortable in any office EVER! They are awesome, sadly I have bad memory and cant remember their names but they not only took care of me but my kids as well, I loved the place and kudos on the great customer service.
I have been coming to The Eye Care Center for about 30 years. Never had a bad experience and they have had the BEST FASHIONABLE EYEWEAR in town. Now it is called MYEYEDR which I visited at Festival Way about two years ago due to insurance change. It was so so. I have a visit on Friday at my original location on Crain Hwy! Stay tuned.
Dr. Cohen has been my eye doctor for years and I have no complaints with him, however, the front office staff is another story. My appointment was on January 5th and they told me that they would call when my glasses were ready however I never received a call. I ended up calling and my glasses were ready. When I picked my glasses up on January 18th they had a blue tint to them. I returned on the 19th and was first told that they didn’t see the blue and then told that it was normal. I told them it wasn’t and that they needed to be fixed. The person indicated that he would reorder them and have them expedited. Today is February 9th and I still have not received the correct glasses. I have spoke to James who indicated that he would check the status and call me back. He never called. I called and spoke to Matt who said they would be ready in a couple of days but had no clue as to why they are delayed. Meanwhile I’m suffering acute headaches and having issues seeing driving. The worst experience ever
While the doctors are good getting the glasses is a different story the first pair was filled incorrectly, the 2nd pair the coating on the glass was defective..so now it is the 27th..my glasses are broke 7 days is acceptable, but 2.5 weeks? I will never go back there.
Ive been going here for many years and now Im sad to say the office staff is completely incompetent. I was overcharged for my exam which I then had to call back, spend time one hold, just to get my money back. And then I went to use my benefits to order my contacts online and was told the doctors office pulled my contact benefits. Absurd! Ive never had such a bad experience.
Great Drs and they have a repair shop onsite.
My experience with My Eye Doctor on Craim High way Waldorf Maryland was great. They got me an appointment as soon as possible, I was down to 1 Pair contact lenses, the gave me a trial pair until I could get back to see them. When I finally came for my appointment the services was excellent after I meet with the optometrist I had to check out and see what my bill was. I told the gentleman I wasnt going to pay a lot out of my pocket today, in the past I would walk out spending and arm and leg. I stated if things were going to be very pricey I will take my prescription to Walmart. He did a various search for price matching with various companies on his computer, We saw that Walmarts contacts were less expensive so he wanted to keep me as a customer he have me some discounts and used my VSP I looked down at my receipt saw all I would need to pay was $29 for a year supplyOf contact lenses instead of $441.00.Im sold ... Thanks My Eye Doctor# satisfied customer
Friendly Staff and Great Doctors.
