It was very easy to go online and make an appointment, staff was friendly and helpful. There was a bit of a hiccup when I went to pay and pick up my vehicle but it was handled exactly as I would have wanted it to be handled without any problems and push back. They were quick to complete the work on my vehicle. I’d highly recommend! Thank you!

Great customer service, went in for four tires and they inspected my car as well. Ended up getting my oil changed too, had a coupon and paid $49.99 for full synthetic! Right on main street in Wake Forest and there are several restaurants within walking distance if you dont want to wait there.

I took Someone their that had a Flat. I didnt know about this place. I think when the time comes, I will definitely check them out.

Pre ordered the tires when they were having a package special. This included an alignment. Had a reservation for 10 am and dropped the car off yet was told that they could not do the alignment as they did not have enough workers. Also, the total was higher cs the total online by about $15. No biggie. What is getting to me is that it is now 11:30 and the tires are still not on the car and I now need to come back for the alignment at another time as they could not separate that from the package deal. Not a lot of urgency around here.

Ive been going to NTB and its parent company Tire Kingdom stores for over 30 years and I can say that todays experience was one of the best in memory. Manager Scott worked with me on my 2012 Genesis issues. The store was fresh, emaculate and comfortable, and my car was ready in a timely manner. I just moved to the Wake Forest area but I was confident that the local NTB store could take care of my automobile service needs. I definitely was not disappointed! 5 stars!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. When I scheduled my appointment I confirmed with the scheduler that it wouldnt take long because I had a 9 week old baby and a 4 year old. He assured me that it wouldnt take me than 40 minutes. I show up and they tell me that theyre 5 cars behind and a minimum of 3 hours. Mind you I already drove 40 minutes to get there. We will never use this location again. We did file a formal complaint with corporate.

I have no idea how this store operates. Ordered tires over a month ago, no effort to correct the issue and get tires, every time I talk with them, the last person has “left” the company. I asked them to check a slow leak on one of my cars and they checked the wrong wheel! The manager ignores you and clearly not a customer-focused leader. I was bringing 4 cars in periodically for tires and they just don’t seem to want the business...they win, they wont get any of mine.OK, they want me to contact them, via the link...I did. Asked what you can do....HAVE SOMEONE CALL ME AND GET ME THE TIRES. I will followup on this review to see how the company responds.

Service was good. I made my appointment online for 10 a.m. and was in by that time for an oil change and tire rotation and was out before 11 a.m. I sat in the waiting room and read a magazine. They have a TV and a Keurig as well.

I can not thank the team enough for taking care of us! My son had a hole in two different tires and we decided to replace them at NTB in Wake Forest. The team took care of us and stayed late to ensure my son had four new tires on his car so that he could go to work the next day. Their kindness, service and selflessness made a tough day SO much better! This is an amazing team who truly care about you and your car.

Ends up being more expensive than the dealers. Messed up a lot of settings on my dash. No oil change sticker and did not consult before replacing a part.

Deana is the best! I came in to get a quote on replacing my battery and quote on getting new tires for my car. She is very knowledgeable about both. As far as warranty on the battery, she could tell me right away what I was looking for and which battery was best for my car. For the tires, she was very knowledgeable about them also. She could tell me the price for replacing all 4 tires and putting them on. She even explained to me about a tread warranty, that I knew absolutely nothing about. She is very friendly, nice, helpful, and a pleasurable person to speak with. When I finally decided to come in and get this done, I definitely want to work with her. Overall the service was very good. My car was in and out in a timely manner, and the price is reasonable.But once again my fluid were not topped off. It makes me wonder if they actually rotated my tires.

Came here to get a tire repaired or to buy a new one at 6:30 (they close at 7). The guys were nice and I ended up purchasing four new tires (which I needed anyway) not to mention they put everything on at that time and stayed after closing to finish me up! Great customer service! Highly recommend!

Terrible experience they overtightened my lugs on my tires had to pay another mechanic well over a hundred dollars to get the whole bolts removed and replaced went to the manager who was extremely rude he denied everything an told me it wasnt there fault this place is the last place I Wana take my car to. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

First off let me start by saying that I keep very good care and track of all things on my car since it’s not a cheap car and is my life line for work. I took my car in to get the fuel treatment service where they clean the injectors and add an additive to the gas tank to complement the cleaning. Well on Wednesday 7/17/19 I dropped my car off at 11:45am because I was told they were not busy and could have my car done be 4pm the same day. It’s an hour or so process so there was plenty of time. I get there around 4:15pm to get my car and the service advisor greeted me with “you’ll have to come back tomorrow”. No hey or sorry sir. Just you’ll have to come back tomorrow. Which would have been okay but I was never called of informed of what was going on even though there was only one other car there. So I said okay no problem. I said I’ll bring it by first thing on the morning around 7:45. He said okay.Well Thursday morning 7/18/19 comes and I drop my car off at 7:45am like I told him and asked when will it be done. The advisor said I’m not too sure. I asked “do you think it’ll be by 12” he said “umm I’ll call and let you know”. So I leave it and go to work. Lunch rolls around and I have to call them again to get an update and a different advisor answers and informs me my car is done. So this is twice I had to call because they didn’t call. I then ask can they do a multiple point inspection, he says yes. Great. Well I get there at 4:15pm to get my car and the inspection was not done with no explanation as to why. Which wasn’t a big deal so I let it go.Well I go to get gas later that evening and saw where the tech who worked on my car spilled the fuel additive and didn’t clean it and so I decided to check u see the good to see if it looks like they did anything and whatever soliton they put up front, there was a puddle of in on the the cowl, valve cover and intake with no signs of trying to clean it. I know people get in a rush. But this was not acceptable. Yes you guys got my money. But won’t be getting any more of my business or any recommendations from me.

This is my 2nd time to come here. customer service,Mike is not friendly. I need some thing else for my car than I came for, The counter clerk who took my car in who didn’t even call me. this time I had them do inspection too and I did early this time, sadly they also took advantage on customers. Estimate time frame for service is one hour, it took two hour actually.

I showed up at 7:01 they were open as promised, I did not make an appointment as I should have either, brought my own new tires to be mounted and needed an alignment done and spark plugs changed, they got my car right in about 5 minutes after getting there, staff was very friendly, and helpful, took about an hour and a half and was a very reasonable price, car rides like a dream, they did a very good job, I HIGHLY recommend, I will definitely be a returning customer after my first experience with them!!

Bought 2 new tires and had them installed along with an alignment. Within 3 days one of the new tires leaked air causing my sensor light to come on. I work in healthcare and need to travel downeast to work. An appointment was was made to bring car back in to have tire looked at. Manager of store was very rude and threatening. After many words exchanged the new tires were finally taken off the rim and examined. A valve stem needed to be replaced on one of the new tires. Not sure why such poor service was given. Hopefully I wont have any more issues when I travel again today. I would strongly recommend that you find a different store when shopping for tires or any other service. They even refused to check my oil. No apologies were offered.

I have been a customer at this Merchants Tire location for about 8 years and wont take my car anywhere else if I can avoid it. The people are honest, knowledgeable, personable, professional, and not just courteous but friendly as well. I have gone both with and without an appointment. They do their best to work me in when things come up unexpectedly. They never push unnecessary work on me and if something can wait until next time, they tell me. I always have more than enough information to make an informed decision. Obviously there are state regulations on inspections as to what can and cannot pass so they dont cut corners there. However, they did their best to help keep my 17-year-old car on the road and running in tip-top condition. The only reason Im not driving that car still is because they couldnt find parts for it, not even at junk yards. I plan to keep my business here for many more years to come.

Not happy with service. I paid for lifetime rotation and balance and it was not done because I answered their question that there was no noticeable vibration from tries. So they said not needed. I paid for 3 year alignment program. They were the only ones that aligned car. They wore the inside of all 4 tires from there alignment. They told me everything was within tolorence on alignment.Then tried to sell me new tires because of ware on inside of all 4 tires caused by there alignment. Such a deal.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever had. I have never written a review - ever. But my experience was so bad I just had to. I took my truck to have the tires rotated and balanced (under warranty). They tried to sell me a battery that I did not need. Then they said they could not get one of the tires off because a lug was just spinning. They offered to fix it for $150. This is a tire shop and could not get the tire they put on off of the truck. They never got it off and never balance or rotated that side of the truck. The paperwork said they did-I called them on lying on the paperwork but I was told since they balanced and rotated one side it was ok to state they did both sides.This was all after calling to set up an appointment and getting put on hold for 15 min and then getting hung up on when they finally came back.This use to be my go to shop for tires but not anymore. I hope another branch will honor my warranty.

I usually dont like doing reviews but here it goes; We had problems with this company in the past. I understand that when you take your car there by law they are suppose to do preventative maintenance but what ever happened to just taking your car in for an oil change, and the job is completed. No questioned asked. But NO that doesnt happen because you come out of there paying up the wazoo. And just for an oil change?? Crazy!And there are some workers there when it comes time to giving you the run down they dont let you speak and run over your conversation as if your going to say Sure do all that work for $2,000 NOT. We already knew what was wrong with our car and just needed to do what was within the budget. But the only reason we keep going here is because we have an NTB Card which makes it easier to pay. And not all the NTBs are like this just to say. There are others that are willing to accommodate and be very helpful. Im sorry but this is my honest opinion.

Kenny the manager was awesome. I had a front tire blow out not far from their location. He advised on where to find what we needed to change the tire. Who would have known to look under the hood. Kenny earned our business for the new set of tires by being helpful over the phone. My daughters SUV will need tires soon and I plan to go back to NTB in Wake Forest.

My wife and I went to a few other tire stores in the wake forest area to repair a flat tire. Each store indicated we would need a new tire based on where the nail was located in the tire (near the sidewalk). To replace the tire would be $400 plus. However, the gentleman from NTB, working on my vehicle noticed the sidewalk nail (was not really a nail) did not puncture through but did find another nail closer to the center of the tire that did puncture through. NTB repaired the tire and I was only charged $30. NTB could have easily swapped out the tire and charged me the $400 + for the a new tire and my wife and I would have never known the difference.You can’t beat integrity- thank you NTB!!!

MUCH better than my previous experience... I come here for the oil change w/ FREE tire rotation.My last 2 visits have ended with me being a little put off with their up-selling tactics and 2 hour oil change WITH a scheduled appointment and waiting... but this time they were done in less than an hour and when they told me my air filter was dirty and needed to be replaced within the 1st 20 minutes of me being there, I didnt mind allowing them to change it. :)

Twice Don and his team were able to help me out in a jam! When it comes to cars, costs are costs. They were fair. I look more for service and timeliness and the NTB in Wake Forest on S. Main has both.

I took my Kia Optima in on Sunday 11/24 to get the oil changed. I noticed on the drive home that when I accelerated my engine seemed louder than usual. I didn’t think much of it but when I arrived at work the next day I decided to check the oil dip stick. The oil was about an inch and a half over the full dot on the dip stick. To my surprise they put way too much oil in my car. I called to speak to the manager and he was not in so they told me to bring the car in that afternoon. We live close to the NTB in Wake Forest but my work is near the airport so I opted to take it to the NTB on Duraleigh and Glenwood. The mechanics were shocked to see the poor job done. They had overfilled my oil by a quart if not more. Thank goodness I was able to catch their mistake before my engine was damaged. On top of this mistake the workmanship was so poor. They left oil hand prints on my car hood and dripped oil down the front bumper. They forgot to put on the sticker on my windshield when they changed the oil and when it’s due again and on my paperwork they put my mileage in at 66k and my car is at 80k. I made the appointment at 10:00am and they finally took my car back around 10:40 and had it out by 11:15. Why make an appointment and wait for over thirty minutes before you even take the car back? My husband typically takes his car here but after this debacle we will no longer go to this location.

I ended up going to this location to replace my tires as they were the only place that could retrieve my tires. I bought 2 tires and got an alignment and they ended up putting one of my directional tires on the wrong way. I got a nail in my tire 3 months later. After bringing my car to them, they said they couldn’t repair the tire due to the tread. It’s a Y rated sports tire. No way it should wear down that much in 3 months. After he put the car on the lift, he noticed the other tire without a nail in it was completely worn down on only half of the tire while the other tire has some amount of tread.The mechanic assured me it wasn’t from the tire being put on the wrong way. I ended up buying my tires somewhere else and they even confirmed the tire was put on the wrong way and that is what wore the tire in such a ridiculous manner. I am currently working with a staff member and it seems as if they are willing to make their mistake right. I don’t think I will be back to this place as they have confirmed the distrust I have in mechanic and tire shops.

My friend came in for a holiday from Florida and had a cut in her tire that really should have popped. The guys here went above and beyond helping us find her replacement and get the two tires changed and rotated. During this emergency they were quick and very helpful.

I am so grateful to Bud and Brian for staying late on Sunday to get me straight. I arrived thinking I only needed a headlight bulb when Bud noticed that my front tires were worn down to the second layer on the outside. This was a bit scary since I had just returned from a trip to the mountains. So I left with two new tires, a front end alignment, a headlight bulb and thankful for the above and beyond customer service. These guys are fantastic!!!

They took 2 hours for an oil change. I asked if they could mount four new tires also. Was told they could not because they were so busy. However, there were four people just standing around in the garage area with only three cars on lifts and 5 empty bays! Go figure. Im guessing if the owner was there they would not have been happy one bit. I left there and went 1 mile down the road to Quick Lane and they mounted my new tires in an hour. Only reason I gave this NTB one star is because the one guy that helped me up front was really polite and apologetic about the delay.

I made an appointment the night before and then was told the wait time was an hour. I dont see the point of having appointments if youre still put in the back of the line. The people were nice and the store was clean, however. It just would have been nice if I was able to expect the wait time regardless of the appointment.

I had a 9:30 appointment to mount and balance 4 tires and the most basic State Safety Inspection. On the busiest of days this should take no more then an hour considering the amount of staff they had in the shop. These two minor services took 2.5 hours!But okay things happen it took them a bit longer. What really set me off was the fact they told me they did a battery test on the car and the results came back saying the battery was down to half its capacity. I never saw the actual results of the test but on a nearly brand new car this was hard to believe. I passed on the battery.I went down the street to Advanced Auto Parts to get a free battery check that took 60 seconds. The battery is in near perfect condition as the Advanced Auto test results (pictured) show. The battery capacity is 390cca and the measured reading was 370cca. A perfectly fine battery.I would like to say the staff are polite and courteous but how can that be if theyre lying to my face trying to sell a dang battery. Awfully dishonest. The only thing that earned them that second star is the deep discount I got on the alignment.

I spent more $ than i shouldve, but i got what i paid for. Never had 4 new tirez at the same time before. Car drives like an airplane in a cloudlezz sky. I love it!

Dropped my car off for an oil change at 11:30 am. Didnt hear from this place so I decided to check on my vehicle at 3:45. Car was moved but no work was done on it. Poor service. I will definitely take my vehicle to another company.

We called at 752p on a Friday night and Aaron did not turn us down. He said he would wait for us to get there and we were 15 minutes away. We passed 3 tire places on the way that all turn us away including discount tires, just tires and Walmart. A business that will stay open a few minutes later on a Friday night will always get my business! Thanks NTB crew for helping us out of a bind!

I found the manager to be very customer centered and willing to go to any avenue to ensure one got the right info about their products.The assistant manager was arrogant and removed from rendering top notch customer service. He displayed a mocking attitude along with the two staff that actually worked on my car.I will never patronize this company again. If it wasnt an emergency situation, I would have left after condescending exchange viewed through window in the waiting area. I expect to be valued as a paying customer of any company where I purchase their services and products. I left there not getting a return on my investment. Stay clear of John not up to par, false advertising of excellence.

Piss poor customer service and rude assistant manager. Not only did they charge me for a service I did not authorize, they did not reset the tire pressure system, after charging me, and did not put the spare tire back in the vehicle. So now, I can’t drive my vehicle until I get my spare. The assistant manager told me to call the next day to speak to the manager as she declined to help me. I will never go back there or recommend them to anyone. I was a repeat customer, will Never go back again.

Had a flat tire and only needed a patch .. asked the guy to do it and he talking bout no I needed to change all 4 tires he said 1000 for the tires.. what a joke! He insisted in ordering parts for my vehicle that A) I didnt even ask for and B) I didnt need.. had to drive a mile down with a flat tire because they didnt not want to patch my tire .

Be careful when scheduling an appointment, even by phone, their system tends to be glitchy. Other than that, they are outstanding!They are honest about what they do and will often help you out even if it comes out of their own pockets and time.They are at the top of my list when it comes to car maintenance.

I got tires mounted and balanced somewhere else and my balance was of 10 ozs!!! My truck was shaking terribly. I went to NTB and Zack did my alignment and tire balance, now Im back to perfect steering and no more tire wobble. Thanks

Awful service! I went in expecting some basic work and an inspection. I left with a huge bill! After they did the inspection, they said I needed a new taillight and taillight cover because it was broken and new windshield wipers. The taillight worked before I brought my car there and so did my windshield wipers. The taillight cover had a crack in it which had been there for years (and did not affect its use) and it passed inspection before. I paid the bill and found out the following day my NEW taillight was NOT working! I brought the car back and told them that the taillight wasnt working. They took a look at it and couldnt find anything wrong with the light and chipped my new taillight cover in the process. I was told it could be an electrical problem and they could run some tests IF I PAID FOR THE TESTS! They told me they would order me a new taillight cover (since they chipped my new one) and put it on. I told them to order it and call me and I would install it myself. I left without them running the electrical tests and my taillight works fine now besides the fact that my taillight cover is still chipped. I havent gotten a call from them about my replacement taillight cover. I will not return to this location.

If you want to get taken advantage of this is a great place to do business. Unreasonable and difficult to deal with. Take your business to the many other qualified shops in the area and retain you piece of mind. Anthony the manager is more suited to a dishwashing job- out of sight and mind.

Kenny was professional, personable, and knowledgable when I brought the car in for service. However, they went above and beyond... He asked if I had a ride home when I went to drop off the car. I said I was going to walk but he worried about me crossing Capital blvd so he loaned his own car to one of the technicians to give me a ride.

This place will tell you ANY LIE to get you to spend more money. They wanted me to pay $100 above the alignment price to loosen the bolts to do a better align. Bogus. How would you do an alignment without loosening bolts?

Brought my new car here to have 4 new tires mounted. They broke one of my tire sensors, couldnt get one of my old tires off and decided to cut it off with an angle grinder, THEN THEY MOUNTED 2 OF MY TIRES INSIDE OUT!!!!!!! so now Im at an NTB in Virginia having them properly mounted so that I can finish driving back to New York.

Not very friendly staff. I dropped my car off for all four tires to be swapped. They took my contact info but didnt bother to call me to say it was done. I went over just before six to see the car was ready (were they ever going to call?).I had my alignment done when I got new rims, but now the car is pulling hard to the right.They told me that they cant do an alignment for my car as its too complex (its a Mercedes AMG) and suggested that I take it to my regular place.If the car pulling to the right now is tire pull, I can accept the swap *might* cause an alignment to be required, (or a rotation) what is not acceptable is the almost hostile attitude of the staff. When I went with my wife to pick it up, two mechanics stood there, one with arms folded, glaring at me like Id done something.Wont be back with either car.It looks like they placed my alloy wheels face down on the floor, the lip is scuffed on at least two and there are grooves on the inside where it looks like they took the old weights off with a screwdriver, just whacking at them until it was all scratched up.What a bunch of cowboys!Go here, if your car is just an old beater, or risk having it scuffed up and scratched.Went to the trouble of acquiring replacement front tires and mounting and balancing those (4th time in a month!) and the car STILL pulls to the right.Thanks for that Merchants...Now have all new tires on again (Continental brand this time) and the car still pulls right. Looks like it was permanently damaged. Judging by the grooved scratches inside the rim to remove the old weights doesnt seem like a stretch if thats the level of contempt shown toward customer cars.Go to Discount tire instead, way better organization and staff. Avoid these cowboys.

Other Merchants tires get really bad reviews and I cant speak to them b/c Ive only used the Wake Forest location and they have always been GREAT. Came in at 730PM on a Friday, 30 mins before they closed for the night to get tire w/ a screw in it repaired. They had 4 cars already in the bay so they literally jacked my truck up outside of the garage to take the tire off and repaired it in less than 10 mins. They were awesome...great customer service!

Called and made an appointment. Arrived 15 minutes early to find out a computer problem erased my appointment. This is the 3rd time I have been to this location and my last. After a 3.5 hour wait to have my vehicle inspected and oil changed, I was called to my truck with the inspector. I was informed that my vehicle failed inspection due to a hair line crack on the 14 clear lens cover. What? This was total BS. I noticed earlier he was pointing at my thin blue line decal, showing I was law enforcement. I wondered then if he was going to try to find something wrong. He did. He pointed out in the inspection manual that if the lens is broke, turned sideways, colored and failed to allow clear white light to pass, it would be failed. I explained that the small hairline crack, scratch had nothing to do with the headlight or its proper function. He gave me a whatever look and said, all you can do is go to DMV and have them override his decision. He also stated that he had been caught several times by DMV Inspectors and wasnt getting caught again. My whole issue is, my vehicle should have passed inspection with flying colors. They, at first tried to say my tires needed replacing. Even priced tires for me and made it sound like I needed them immediately. Now, I have to drive 35 miles to meet with a DMV Inspector, get his/her blessing and go back to Merchants for them to finish my inspection. So, for a basic oil change, NC inspection it will cost me-$45 for both, $25 fuel cost, 3.5 hours of my time-$100 and no telling how long it will take at DMV and then Merchants wait time again. I estimate Im out close to $200. Dont waste your time and money, go somewhere else. This will be my last visit.

My company and I have been with NT&B for quit some time and the customer service has decreased drastically. Mike is very rude and the customer service here is horrible. Im not going to keep giving this company my business since they done value their customers in any way. I dropped 2 tires off at 9am (Must i say it was empty in the store)and was told it would be ready by lunch. Come to find out I am still here at 4pm and my tires havent moved from where I dropped them off at. I dont know how this store does any volume with the arrogant, dishonest managers that work here. Never again!
