Each station shall inspect any vehicle presented for inspection according to the year model, and type of engine except as provided in this section or when exempted from the emissions inspection by a waiver issued by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles or his designated agent.Should lose their license to inspect vehicles.

I sat there waiting to even be spoken to for 15 minutes. There was one inspector, he had one car in the bay, and he was on the phone. Then I saw him jack up the car improperly for an unknown reason. Ive been driving in NC for 30 years and having cars inspected almost that long and have never had a car jacked up.I saw this, turned around and drove off. I should never have to worry that my car will be damaged by some guy who doesnt know how to use a jack for a simple inspection.

I have used this location to renew NC State inspection for 8 years with no complaint. However, it appears they dont believe they should be practicing CDC recommendations for their customers. The technicians (2) of them didnt wear face coverings at anytime during my visit. No attempt was made to ensure my vehicle was sanitized once they completed the work. This was not a safe practice and placed the burden on me to clean my vehicle before driving away. I will check to see what the rules are for this service industry.

As always (been coming here since the business opened), fast professional service. Went at 9 a.m. Saturday morning. Two cars ahead of me and I was in and out in under 30 minutes.

I like that it is quick. Dont go here, you might mess it up. Too many people in Wake Forest already, cant let all the yankees know where the good spots are.

Crew here doesn’t seem to have a good understanding of the law, which meant I was not able to get my car inspected here. They said they would fail my car because the tint shield on the front of the car was to long, but it was not past the AS1 line on the windshield so should have been fine (honda dealership passed this last year and law specifically states it is legal as long as it is above the as1 line.) Manager/Shift lead was condescending when I explained this too him and became obstinate because he did not want to admit he was wrong. He even had the nerve to try to tell us the real solution would be to drive down to the DMV office it downtown Raleigh to ask them to verify what the law clearly states.

Fast service... however In and out of peoples vehicles all day. No gloves. No mask. No wipes. Nothing....

They did a good job with the inspection, but today when I went none of the employees were wearing masks or face coverings. They walked right up to us and were not trying to follow social distancing. All of the customers and myself were wearing masks. It’s extremely irresponsible to put customers at risk, especially when the employees are getting in people’s cars.

It used to be a reliable place in the past where 8am opening meant someone was ready to work. I was still sitting there at 15 after and no one had arrived. I left and went up the road to Firestone where I received prompt and friendly service.Yes I know there may have been a personal emergency, but is there just ONE PERSON working???

Went in yesterday for inspection and even with a mandated sign on the door, your employee did not have a mask on while he checked me out. He also did not ask others to wear a mask while waiting. This is irresponsible. Yes, I know people have right to do what they want, but this is a business and he had no mask on. I will not return.

Need a car inspected super fast in and out in less than 20 min, we were really really impressed.They really check over you car which they should to make sure it is safe. Sadly some places do not. .

Fast I was in and out. Hate that they felt the need to steal the free Chick-fil-a sandwich coupon I had sitting on the center storage compartment. I guess I should feel lucky that they left the 10 bucks that was inside.

Awful Customer service. I expressed my concerns to the owner and he could care less. very defensive, unprofessional, and incredibly rude! there are other options for this service and I will encourage anyone I can to go elsewhere. An inspection should not be such a hassle.

In and out in ten minutes, which was great, but closing at 4pm on a Saturday is a bit early and I didnt like leaving my keys in the unlocked car, especially while kids on skateboards are on the property. I imagine it would probably be my insurance, not theirs that would have to cough up and even then, Im not sure it wouldnt void for leaving the keys in an unlocked car.Also, several years ago, I used to have a lowered car that occasionally scraped speed bumps. I notified them that it was lowered, but the girl on the desk drove it onto the ramp too quickly and tore the plastic lining clear out of the wheel well. The manageress was good enough to get down on the floor and refit it and I dont think it was permanently damaged (but scuffed up) but that could be a training/experience issue, especially at interpreting the implications of lowered cars and sports cars.

I think the whole inspection requirement here in NC is a sham, as ALL modern vehicles have emissions controls, & the vehicles that typically do not are exempt from it, not to mention the crooked places that always find ways to charge for replacing phantom bad bulbs! This place is extremely quick / efficient, the staff is nice, & they will physically show you issues that will cause your vehicle to fail & offer to fix it. This is where I will go to get my vehicles inspected from now on!

I waited until the last day of the month for my inspection and then hit this place at 8 am. I am always suspicious of inspection stations but this place really took care of me. I was 2nd in line and out in 10 minutes. It was a nice, clean, legit place. I only needed a safety check.Safety+Emissions is $30.00Safety alone is $13.50Tip: Hit this place early. The tech told me lunch is their busy time. Very little activity in the early morning.

Rude customer service. They try to say you have an aftermarket window tint on a car that’s never been altered from date of purchase, even though the car has been inspected for 5 years without this fee, several times....at this place even. Ronald Adkins was the inspector and got frustrated...told me to f**k off after I called him on his incorrect assessment of a factory tinted window. Doesn’t know customer service if it slapped him in the face. Refused to give me the managers contact information when I asked two times for it. A little suspicious that the multitude of ford dealerships that have inspected this car have never concluded tht I have an aftermarket tint. I guess that will be a mystery just like the managers contact information is.

Not very friendly. They gave me a hard time because I did not have the paperwork for what they failed the car with, I am already in the system, so how is that necessary? I was told they would have to start the process all over again. When I told them I would take car some where else,all of a sudden,it wasnt problem. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Super fast. Easy to enter but plan on turning right to exit, Main street traffic is horrific. They can fix minor problems, like wiper blades. Lots of staff turnover.

Quite thorough in the time.Update 2021: Have now been about 4 times since then - Never had a problem, always fast, friendly, and helpful.Response to several posters complaining about their cleanliness practices - they were absolutely fine and professional every time Ive been here during the Covid situation. When the staff is outside, some take masks off, which is safe and appropriate. In all seriousness, if youre afraid of people when youre both outside and theyre keeping their distance, the problem is yours, just go to the dealership and get pillaged.

Took over an hour to get my truck inspected. The person who came about 20 minutes after me had there car inspected and out 20 minutes before I was. They failed me for a wobbly head light and a parking light that is out. Will never come back As they just look for something to fail you for

Brought my car to get inspected, with 100+ miles on it after resetting the computer and a correct clock (drove a full cycle to make sure my engine light didnt come back on). The technician (long hair and long beard) gets in it and checks the fuses and tells me the car cannot be inspected because I havent gone a full engine cycle. When I get back in my car, the clock is reading the wrong time and trip odometer is reset to zero. When asked, he told me all he did was look at the fuses with a flashlight light and said all I can tell you is what the computer is telling me. Not sure exactly what he did, but my car was ready to inspect before he touched it. Very frustrating. Very disappointing.

I have a 2015 tlx that I purchased the end on 2014. I would get it inspected here every year. In 2018, somehow it doesnt pass inspection because of the window tint which has been on the car since 2014. When I inform her of this she tells me that I have a newer car and its never been inspected there before....really?!?!...need I say more....

I went during a busy time and they got through the line in a timely fashion the waiting room could use a bit of work but I would recommend it easily

I was able to get in and out during lunch break, but the Customer Service was terrible. The gut was on his phone the entire time and did not say anything to me when I pulled up. He just took my keys and got in the car. The whole time he was doing my inspection he was on the phone fussing at someone and was only using one hand to do his job. I hate bad customer service.

TOTAL rip off! I went 2 days ago, and was told I have 8 exterior lights out. 7 in the back and a headlight. I tried to say that I was very suspicious of that to the man, since my fiancé had just followed me home the night before and wouldve told me if I had that many lights out. The man helping me then got an attitude with me saying I would have to leave and get them fixed, or pay up for the 8 lights. To be clear, I HATE confrontation. I steer clear of it as much as possible. So finally, I gave in and let him replace the lights. I go up to pay and, I kid you not, the man (in front of a crowded waiting room) says to me thats a big chunk of change coming out of your wallet today. REALLY? I was shocked! I said nothing, paid my $100 inspection and left. I tell my fiancé later that night on the way to dinner and he goes to see if he even replaced them. Low and behold, one of my rear light was out!! This used to be my go-to place, but ever since this experience I will never return. I felt robbed.

My only complaint was the older gentlemen at the counter. He was very rude. Unfortunately, I will not be returning there to have another vehicle inspection because overall I was satisfied.
