Had an appointment, for tires to be put on arrived at 11 am it is now 2 pm and no vehicle. Never again this is ridiculous.
My favorite place to my car repairs with very resonable definitely beats the dealership price.
Peaceful, quiet and helpful staff.
Great customer service and knowledgeable staff
I brought in my 4 Runner for a nail in the tire that I found the previous night. I dropped it off prior to the shop opening. I called an hour after opening and they were already working on it. They patched the nail and didn’t stop there by inspecting all of my tires and finding a screw in another tire needing replaced. Used a pro rate for the remaining tread on my damaged tire and out the door for minimal price ready for pickup 2 hours after the store opening. That is professionalism and doing efficient work at its finest.
I was in n out for what I got done.
Always reliable.
What is the reason to have on-base resources when they are unavailable due to improper manning and organization. It should not take 3-4 days to get a wheel alignment. Very disappointed and I now have to go out in town when I feel that I have earned supportive and convenient service. They cant even answer the phones when we call. Please improve your service and goals to better service the men, women and their families.
I’ll give this place 2 stars because of communication. I dropped my vehicle off at 0800 for an AC checkup and service possibly. At 1230 I came by to see what was the results of it because our work day ends around 1530 and my truck was still sitting in the same parking spot outside from 0800. No phone call about running behind or anything. They said I was next but if I’m getting off within 3hrs how could you diagnose and fix within 3 hours, especially if you need parts. Never again...... Never
Great customer service from everyone. 4 new tires in under an hour, great price too! Very happy!
Had tires installed. Service was exceptionally fast. Sales rep. was extremely polite and helpful.
Dropped my car off at 0615 on Monday. They didn’t get to it until 1100 Tuesday (which I had to call THEM to find out the status, so they were just going to...not tell me?). When they finally bothered to look at my car, they did a “1/2 hour” of work where they didn’t actually look to see if there was a problem and didn’t bother calling me to say what they thought they knew, where I could have explained that it wasn’t the problem. Spent two days having to walk around base and to/from work because they couldn’t be bothered to get clarification, so...no thank you.
Efficient and friendly staff, great prices, quality install.
The staff is (mostly) friendly, but this shop is not run efficiently. Don’t waste your time going here, pay a little extra and get quality service somewhere else.Front desk ordered the wrong parts then technician installed equipment when it didn’t need replacing. Makes you wonder how they didn’t notice? Manager did the right thing and offered to correct the mistake, so I give credit for that. When I came back to get the work done, the vehicle was promised to be done in “half the day” and over 8 hours later, the work had still not even been started. The car was still in the parking lot where I left it. Completely ridiculous. Ended up sitting in the lobby an additional two hours after they closed waiting for them to finish. Will not be spending another dime at this business unless I literally have no other option.
Great prices on items and service, and I do realize they get really busy. (But my experience was). Tried to get a state inspection for two day and never got completed dropped off early both days 0600-1400 one day and 0600 to 1200 the next. I do understand they are busy but this a little excessive.
Great place to shop. They pretty much have everything here. The tires are highly competitive!
*on base access only* Updated and clean. Very professional and welcoming. My households go-to for our auto needs. Greatly appreciate they have such a service available since the Norfolk base one shutdown. There is a small waiting room and they have quick service if you come early enough on a first come first serve basis.
We recently took our Pontiac Vibe in for an oil change. The initial estimate was about $59.00...steep, but not terrible. However, upon getting the car back, they had added on a hard part surcharge because they didnt have the oil filter in stock. Seriously?? Thats their problem, not mine. Other oil change facilities have had no problems at all servicing the car. At the very least, they simply order the part and service is delayed a day or so. To simply tack on an additional charge is ridiculous; doubly so because they did not make us aware of the extra charge when they called to tell us the car would be ready. Unfortunately, t his is not the first time we have been misled or ripped off by the NEX Auto Center. They are simply not worth the time, trouble, and aggravation. Were going elsewhere.
Dropped off my jeep for alignment, oil change, and a 15 point inspection before work. When I picked it up, it was better than I expected. They went above and beyond and it was very inexpensive! Definitely going to come back!
We waited 6 hours for them to tell us they couldnt fix our tire. Its fine that they couldnt fix it but there should probably be a system in place where they tell you rather or not they can do the job before making you wait 6 hours. They were also not very honest about how long our wait would be. They told us we were next for 3 hours
Had an appointment but getting new tires installed still took at least 2 hours without any estimated time of completion. And when I asked, it seemed like I was bothering the front desk. Also, you have to physically go into the store to order tires prior to getting them installed after they receive the order. Saving a little bit of money is not worth the long wait and unprofessional service.
Terrible Customer Service! I came in yesterday for a tire patch repair and the lady at the desk told me to come back the following day at 1230. She didnt need my name or anything when I asked. When I came in today and told them I was told to come in at 1230 for a tire patch repair the guy told me there was no way they could do it today. Giving two stars because at least the prices are good, when theyre willing to take my money!
I had my oil changed there, and they did a good job. They called out to get the supplies (oil & filter) caused a bit of a delay. The mechanics out in the garage are in no hurry...that can be both good and bad. They dont take appointments so make an early visit if you can, and then you can walk across the street to the Exchange and food court to kill time...lots of time.
Overall this is a very good car care center. The only things they dont do work on our Engines & Transmissions but if you have any other issue I recommend going to them. you pay no tax at all which is really nice especially if your repair is in the many hundreds of dollars. Additionally they charge far less than any other competitors out in town. They did work for me that was literally half of the price I was quoted from a dealer. About the only drawback is the very long wait times and the first come first serve system. I highly recommend being able to drop your car off and come back when its convenient for you. I have seen or oil changes take close to 2 hours. really hit or miss depending on how busy they are and if they can even see your car that day. Overall they do good quality work for a good price but its definitely not the fastest or most convenient
Took my vehicle in on a Saturday to have 2 tires replaced, oil change, and battery charged. Lady at the desk recommended i bring it back first thing on Sunday. They took my car and waited until a half hour before they closed to tell me they couldnt get to it because they only have 1 mechanic on Sunday. With everyone working during the week, why only have one person doing work on the weekends... terrible business!!!
You need it, they got it
Expensive and slow. Also, They tried charging me for an extra hour of labor the last time I took my vehicle in for state inspection. I caught it and showed it to them, they then back tracked and said it was a mistake in their system. The way they did it was they added an extra hour onto the time it took them to complete the service. I thought it looked wrong because it was a simple task, to clean the headlights and polish them because they didnt pass inspection. It doesnt take 2 hrs to do this. Maybe 30 min. I think theyve done it before to me. Often times they dont have parts so I have had to wait on repairs for a long time as well. I dont recommend this place and I dont take my vehicle here anymore.
Terrible service. Dropped off a vehicle to have wheels and tires (already balanced) installed on my truck immediately when they opened. **Approximately a 25 minute job** They called to tell me my stock lug nuts wouldnt fit so I rushed out and bought new ones. When I arrived, my vehicle had already been removed and they said it would go to the back of the line even though they operate on a first come first serve basis.
Waited 4 hours for an oil change after being told it would only be an hour wait. When asked they said my car was next and they were driving it in. A hour later my car was still parked in the same spot while 6 people had already come and gone that were behind me. Don’t waste your time here.
Got a set of new tires here and with rebate, tax free and scratcher, its hard to find a better deal. Wanda was great! Wait times is just as long as most dealerships. Just walk across the NEX/Starbucks/food court and it wont be too bad.
I am so disappointed on this place. I hope they will understand that professionalism isnt important only to attract customers but to keep them aswell. They do not make appointments for state inspection and your car for 2 days and they do not care if you need it or not
The customer service/cashiers are horribly rude. That’s the first thing this place needs to fix. I could deal with the wait times if their customer service was professional and polite.I bought tires here for the warranty and free rotation, and I pray the NEX Tire where I transfer is more professional. I developed a leak in my tire and brought it in. It took three hours for them to tell me there was a nail in the tire. When I first brought it in, one of the cashiers told me it would be $20 to replace since I had the warranty and the tire was so new. Awesome. I looked at the tire with the mechanic and said I’d just get a new one since it was so cheap and I’m PCSing soon (I feel safer driving cross country on a new tire rather than a patch).I went to pay for the new tire and was told my total would be nearly $200. I explained that I was just told it would be $20 since the tires were new. The same cashier that told me $20 proceeded to argue (loudly) that I was mistaken and there was no way it was $20. After telling her to cancel the order she checked again and told me that yes, I would be paying $20. This was after arguing with me, loudly, in a store full of people. The same cashier got loud with another customer earlier. The cashiers (not just the one I had) do this. They loudly complain about it being busy, are rude, pushy, and loud. Wait times could be dealt with if the customer service was good.
First, only one brand of my tire. I get that, with a small shop. However, I went in to have tires changed and was told it could be about 1h and 30min. I did not see my car come out about 2hr so I asked about my car and the guy at the desk says two tires are done. Dropped off at 1: 15. I still do not have my car. Car received will be posted at the end. Never use them if you want to plan the day. I read some reviews and wished I had done so before coming. I would pay more for better time management and certainty as well. 4:30 and I am finally off. A week later I go for an alignment with previous day drop off and left a recall number. They never used that number because it was not previously on file. I tried contacting them all day until 2:45 and my car had been done a long time ago.
Customer service is great! Thumbs up to Leon & Dyrnell !
Took both my cars here for new tires this past year. The staff was helpful and you can even use the NEX scratch off cards here to purchase tires. The service pricing was reasonable and I trust I did not get ripped off.
4 hours for a simple oil change when 2 people are in front of me. I could change my own oil 30 times in 4 hours. Then then theres elderly woman who has been waiting 6 hours for her tire change and has to struggle to get lunch but you havent even taken her car into the garage yet; then I walk around back and seen 5-6 mechanic bull******* and smoking while work takes thats long SIMPLY UNACCEPTABLE. GET IT TOGETHER, TERRIBLE SERVICE
Fast and efficient. Took 3 hours for an oil change and tire replacement. But the NEX and commisary are across the street. Very nice ladies at the front desk as well.
Pros: I didnt end up paying anything. Some staff are warm and helpful. The facilities look very modern.Cons: Either a manager lied, or a technician completely gundecked their work. I was told the shop couldnt install a vent control valve on my 2004 Nissan Frontier because the undercarriage specifically my spare tire, was too rusty to undo. They held on to the truck for two days to soak the spare tire, but despite their best efforts, couldnt get it loose. I took it home and with 10 minutes of non-mechanically-inclined elbow grease, I lowered it. Whats more is that (A) there was no evidence they had soaked anything and (B) two fasteners that are easily visible to the naked eye were clearly undone very near my spare tire, making me think that no one even looked under the truck. The other issue I experienced was an extremely poor paper trail. I purchased and had to return a part (after I had come in and confirmed the part number with a technician) because they mistakenly sent me a write-up stating I needed a new rear ABS sensor, and not a front one. Eventually they told me that it wasnt the sensor at all, but the ABS actuator.I didnt end up paying for the diagnostic, and they installed my vent control valve for free after I lowered the spare tire for them. I will give credit to the managers for trying to reconcile the situation, but whatd impress me more is if they got their communication and paperwork down tighter. Wont be returning to that establishment.
Great customer service. I took my SUV here to get new tires.
I would not reccomend taking your vehicle here. I dropped my vehicle on a Friday. I wanted a tune up and them to diagnose a check engine light (CEL). I asked them to call to tell me the results of the CEL so I could decide if I wanted to complete the repairs, as it is an older vehicle. I knew the cause of the error code based to two separate readings from Autozone. After confirming the check engine code they could go ahead with the tune up. I did not hear anything from them for 24 hours. I called them and was told different things from two separate associates about the status of my vehicle. One of whom lied about diagnosing the CEL, turns out they not done any work on my vehicle. They then told me it would not be ready until Monday afternoon, because although they are open on Sunday they do not have any mechanics working. I opted to pick up my vehicle and take my business else where...suggest you do the same.
Always good place to get work done to your car
Great fast service even for walk-ins. Make an appointment for inspections though
I brought my truck in at 8am for an oil change and tire rotation with only four cars in front of me. It took almost five hours to finish while I was waiting there. By far the slowest auto care establishment I’ve been to.
I was here 6/5/19 for oil change before driving back to houston tx. we got here on the 8th and noticed today 6/14 i thought was an ac water moisture dripping mark on the concrete driveway from under the engine but when i touch it was oil. So i went down under to check where its coming from . I can not believe they left it hand tight the oil drain plug after changing oil at this place. Customer service at front desk was good but disappointed at workmanship. Now got me thinking do they really changed the correct synthetic oil that showed me and changed the oil filter?
Honest mechanics. And they do great work.
Ive gone here multiple times over the years and while overall Ive been happy with their service, I have a couple of gripes. My biggest complaint is when they call you to tell you that your vehicle is ready. To me and with any other repair shop Ive dealt with, this means that your vehicle is 100 percent done and ready to go. The last 4 or 5 times, Ive gone to pick up a car and there was some other issue that had to be fixed, the mechanics made their notes, but the front desk never mentions that other work is required before they can fix what you brought it in for.All Im asking is that they should call and tell you about the other work thats needed, get your verbal okay to do the work, then call when its actually complete. This would have saved multiple trips there, or additional days without my vehicle. Is very frustrating when I think my vehicle is done, but I have to leave it there again and get another ride back to work or home. The mechanics always have done great work in my experience, the disconnect is somewhere between them and the front desk. Ready for pickup doesnt mean come back in and we can talk about other issues youre having. Talk about those over the phone with the customer first! They dont make appointments either. First come, first served. Which can be a big pain in the ass but isnt too bad if you can drop off your vehicle early. Just so you know!
Getting a state inspection was a hassle. Its first come first serve so I couldnt make an appointment. I was able to drop it off overnight, but I wasted an entire day waiting for them to call back. I tried calling them during that time but got put on hold forever once and then kept getting their voicemail which is of the misleading Archer variety. When I did pick up the car, it turned out everything was done around 8:30 in the morning. Still a convenient location and they have extended hours far beyond regular garages. Recommend, but with caution.
A great perk to use if youve never been. Everything is at great prices and no tax helps allot.
Staff is always helpful. Vehicle service is great.
If you are in the military dont go anywhere else great price good service
Horrible customer service by one named EvelynOne bad apple in customer service can really make a difference. Karen was very helpful but the cashier Evelyn needs a class on good customer service. So for that reason alone this place gets spoken about negatively.
Great prices and great work I just took 2 stars off because they told me an oil change would take just a couple hours but i ended up waiting 5 hours. It took up most of my day.
They took GREAT care of us. As always.
This place is very unprofessional. I came in at 0800 for an oil change. I was the second person in line. At 1100 my vehicles was still not yet ready, so the rude cashier said youre going to have to wait another 30mintues because we had to order a filter and its not here yet. They had me waiting on my vehicles, and not one time they anybody come to tell me they had to order a filter because they did not have the one for my vehicle. It took me going to see why my vehicle was taking so long for an oil change, smh!
Why does it take so long to fix a car?
We waited a week for state inspections and windows repairs. They been promising us it will be ready in 5 days then 6 days, and said they got a wrong parts. Also the parts they said cost about $500+ and we check online its only $230. Total they asking for windows fix and state inspection is $820. They are over charging customers. Our vehicle didnt get fix at all. I have been using Uber back and forth to Little Creek base NEX Car Care. Poor customer service and I dont think they know what they doing. Please dont go here. Go to real license mechanic.
Curteous staff. Reasonable prices.
Excellent service and stick with my appointment for tires service.
Staff helpful, shop is clean and prices are always good
Service here was very slow but very efficient work was done. Make time to drop your car off or you will be sitting around for a while.
As far as NEC supports go its the best Ive seen.
Front end staff has zero customer service skills.
20 years retired, 1 July 2019 up to 18 July 19, Tried to get a state inspection. Every morning I told cant take walk ins today full from day before. This the 18th of July. This is wrong.
Over all it’s a great place with knowledgeable technicians. The prices are a bit expensive and there one receptionist that ALWAYS has a nasty attitude.
Best deal for active duty and retired service members.....Kenny who manages the Autoport has a great staff of services writers and automotive technicians been going there for years.....really like the service they provide.
Decent service but they are afraid to touch anything electrically modified. Good prices and very knowledgable.
They really care about your vehicle.
No much at the store and over priced
Had an alternator die the day before I was supposed to head across the country. They were already booked for the day, but got it replaced in less than four hours.
Figured an auto shop on base would be a step above the rest, absolutely wrong. Needed an oil change didn’t have time to do it myself so brought it to these guys. Dropped my truck off and over an hour later they came out and told me they couldn’t do the job because they don’t have a filter for my Toyota Tacoma. First and last attempt to use this mechanic. Absolute waste of time.
They do great work on my car 🚗
Brought my tire there 2 days ago to get patched. It was a bit of a wait, but it only cost $20 to take off the spare, patch my tire and put it back on.
A trustworthy mechanic. Rare these days.
Great service, quick turnaround. Thanks John.
Truly outstanding
Dropped off car overnight to get work done!
This place seems to only have one mechanic. I dropped off a tire to get repaired at 8am and they told me three hours. It’s 1:40 right now. They have ridiculous wait times, employees seem to be annoyed to have to work there, and for some reason are allergic to picking up the phone.
Very helpful and very knowledgeable saved me $$$
Would be no star if an option. Stopped in because literally studs on tires falling off. 6 bays open, 5 workers standing around, we cant get to it today. Not a good look for NEX
Jeffery went above and beyond when he offered to help me when he didn’t have to great customer service 👍🏻👍🏻
They do great work
Over priced, go out in town. They take forever also let my truck sit in the parking lot for a hour untill I went up to ask if it was done. Did not reset oil change light or top off washer fluid.
Meh. Lack of people it seems when it comes to customer volume
3 hours for changing oil when the place was not busy at all.
Excellent service, good people, good product.
Great for all tires and services
First order and pay for tires, then the shop will call to schedule an appointment
The best in the business!
Jersey Mikes Subs Not so good
Ok if youre in the military.
Outstanding service.
Where is the customer service? They need some training!
Great customer service
Rude customer service
Nice customers
Great Service!
Lied about work performed.
Great service
Nice place
