Visited Pennys because of Sephora but it was a small store. They recommended the actual store that was a few doors down. This location is in a mall. Otherwise I love Pennys. They have great fashions for women.

Clothing is always good. The store itself was clean and the staff was courteous. Dressing rooms were mostly closed. Not sure why. Maybe covid, maybe short staffed. Prices were good for sales. Finding a register was a bit frustrating. Took over 30 minutes to check out.

They had so much more in the store than my previous shopping trip. Of course this is a different location as well.

Very nice store but the atmosphere made me feel depressed. It didnt feel exciting in there. Window dressing should be fun and exciting. Store was well organized and clean.

They no longer have blinds, shades, or most draperies, they have to be ordered. Sales associate was great 👍

We had photos done at the Portrait Studio. 3 adults and a 9 year old. The photographer was excellent. She kept everyone relaxed and smiling. The photo session was safely done...cleaned between customers. The photo choices were exceptional and we were very pleased.

Good selection. Usually some type of sale going on. Cashiers were scarce, but we eventually found a nice lady that helped us.

I love all the items inside it just needs to be remodeled a bit. The bathrooms are so dated as well as the elevator. But I like this retailer.

Everything has been opened back up now. This store in Virginia Beach has had the fitting rooms open the same weekend the mandate was lifted. So, I came back the following weekend and theyre closed again. They said they will open up again on Monday. I came back Monday and theyre still closed. Here it is Saturday, and theyre closed again. I buy both work and casual clothes there. Because Im only 410 tall, I have to try everything on or I will NOT buy it. Needless to say, and entire summer wardrobe, a few work outfits, and 4 new bathing suits.. all have been purchased elsewhere.Stop giving mixed signals to your customers. Also, Sephardic was completely empty. NOT a soul in sight. Waited 10 min and left.At this point, not sure Ill ever go back. Too disappointed.

This particular JCPenney at the Chesapeake Square Mall does it have a lot of stuff like the other stores do. But what I will say is that I can always find something in here. Now besides might not be the size I want but I usually get great deals here thats what keeps me coming back

I had planned to head back to the store to buy these Christmas dish towels, but I didnt make it. There were cute items. Ill look around for them in Charlotte. Jcpenney changed some of their rules for coupons and rewards. Its all good.

Everything was great except for the dressing rooms. They were all closed except for one.

Always love jcpenny. Always can find what I am looking for . If u dont see it they dont have it. But finding help is a little challenging. Not many associates but u can always go to customer service downstairs and ask for help. Elevator is out of commission. Im not sure if its due to cover but makes it hard if u have a wheelchair or walker

My mom and I went shopping yesterday June 19, 2021. And again found only one dressing room open in the entire store. In the men’s section only. You have women and men in the same dressing room. This is unacceptable I will not be going back.

Women restrooms and fitting rooms are filthy. I also had to wait 15 minutes in line to pick up an online order with only 1 person at the register.

I went to the Pursuit Studio. Tori was great, she made my entire feel comfortable and got some great pics. We had a family member with mobility issues and she was sensitive to that. She helped us find the best deal for the photos we wanted without spending an arm and a leg. Were never felt rushed during the entire process.

Went to JCPenney for a dress. I always go to the Penneys at Lynnhaven mall when I need clothes because they have the best selection, especially on dresses. I never leave there unhappy.

Was a great sale today and we had a great experience.

Great Sales going on but I was a tad bit disappointed the jeans that I purchased rung up at 50% off but was hung on a rack with other jeans which I thought was at 75% off per the sign... I was told that regardless what rack theyre on, its ringing up at 50% ... I started to leave them jeans but it was the only pair in my size, ugh...besides that, I was able to get an extra discount from the online code.... I had to to have them, their nice and comfy but I would of LOVED if the associate had of honoured the RACK price from the sign..... I will not be going back until Christmas (these Jeans deserve a 4 Star)

Went to the salon to get some conditioner. They didnt have any out but the lady was very nice and went to see if they had any even though it was so close to them closing.

Happened to hit a great sale. Spent 92 dollars and saved over 400 dollars. Got some Christmas shopping done. Need more checkstands though

Large store, very much dated however, typical of most JCPenney locations. They have a Sephora, salon and a few small areas for certain brands that have been themed. Staff is always friendly though a decent amount of register pods are not staffed on weekdays.

This JC Penny store is NOT ready to do business! Terrible stock or NO stock. Looks like they are ready to go out of business. No clerks around to even answer simple questions. Good riddance.

We went to exchange a pair of of slacks. After waiting in line at the checkout area we were told we had to go to package pickup. Apparently JCPenney has changed its policy at least for the time being that all exchanges, or refunds have to be processed at package pickup. We then waited and an even longer line at package pickup to make this simple Exchange. Although everybody was nice it took a great deal of time.I think JCPenney should have did a public broadcast via social media, newspaper, as well as, email to their clientele of this new procedure.

Reasonably priced clothing, especially the St. Johns Bay line. I always find something nice whenever I stop by. I just wish their intimate apparel department had a better selection.

I received a Christmas gift from my mother-in-law that didnt fit me. We went to the store to exchange it without a receipt. The manager allowed us to make the exchange without any hassle.... thanks!!

I brought my son in for his 5th grade school pictures and it was a great experience. She made him feel comfortable and took lots of different poses and I loved so many of them it was hard to decide which ones to get! We definitely use them again.

Never had a bad experience when picking up online order. However I would suggest the get more people back there. I had to wait at least 5 to 10 minutes before being helped.

Went in to see if they had some good shoes for me, and I was quite amazed at all they had! I have not spent much time shopping at JCPenny for a few years, but now that I know they are doing well, I will be back!

Very clean looking store. We didnt get much time as the store was closing by the time we made it to the store. I would like it better if there was a better division of men and teen clothing. We kept ending up in mens! Maybe because we were rushing! I have shopped in the girls department many times and always find way too much!! No one came over to assist us, but maybe that was because they were getting ready to leave.

If you like pee on the toilet seats, no working sink or hand sanitizer, clothes and shoes disorganized and rude employees, this is definitely the place for you.

Love JC penny. Some of the best shirts I own have come from here. Plus they have big and tall section for a big guy like me. When getting a dress shirt and tie, the little old man who helps is funny and gets you the right size for the right price.

Poor selection of housewares upstairs. Mens classic clothing is good--Izod, Nike, etc but womens clothing is either weird trendy stuff or completely out of date. If you have a good coupon it might be worth sorting through, but the retail prices are too high. JCP has lost its mojo, which is sad because Ive been a customer for over 30 yrs, till recently.

Got 2 cute pairs of sandals for only $10! They definitely have some really great prices and some really cute clothes and accessories. I also like that theres a Sephora thats not as crowded and overwhelming as the big Sephora in the mall.
