Oh my gosh, where to begin? The ladies in the store were so nice and knowledgeable, and they even gave us a list of restaurants to try while were in the area. The yarn is beautiful, and theres quite a bit of it, mostly hand dyed. One of the ladies at the store was nice enough to go get her knitting to show me how to do magic loop! Hopefully I wont forget how to do it, since someone actually showed me how. I hope I didnt ruin her sock gauge with my tight knitting 😰 Anyway, this place is great and Ill definitely be stopping by on my next visit to VA Beach.

The lady (I believe the owner) was SUPER HELPFUL and very knowledgeable!! Helped me pick out the appropriate yarn and crochet hooks for the baby blanket Im making for our newest little!! Hank the pup was helpful in keeping my kiddos entertained! Would 10/10 recommend and will be returning or shopping online with them!!

I’ve had such an amazing experience with this store! The yarn is spectacular, and great to knit with. The choices, types and colors, are endless. The owner builds a great personal relationship with her customers, and has given me so much guidance as to what yarns are good for what projects. As a beginner, direction is what I needed most! The owner devotes so much of her time and energy into this wonderful store, and clearly it’s paying off.

Always fun to come in here and browse. The puppy is especially cute! The owner is always so helpful with any questions and was understanding that I was looking for nicer yarn while still on a tighter budget. Plus the yarns feel amazing! Definitely worth the splurge :)

The first time I went to this store I was really excited. They have lots of high end yarn in gorgeous colors. The store dog, Hank, is fun, and the younger girl running the register was friendly. However, I’m a little put off by the owner’s brusque vibe on the phone. I purchased a couple hanks online of yarn that isn’t available at this store. I’m temporarily away from my swift and won’t buy another. I called The Yarn Club to ask if I could bring them in on my next visit to purchase more of their products and was told they wouldn’t cake any yarn that wasn’t purchased in their store. They justified this by saying they didn’t want to wear out mechanical equipment, which is absolutely valid. But they do have hand-crank equipment, and I can’t imagine rejecting a request that would get customers in the store. Either way, I was able to locate a store who was happy to cake yarn not purchased from them (and make any sales associated with the visit). This store may want to reconsider this policy, as it definitely lost them revenue today.

My wife loves this place, the yarn selection is huge If you are looking for high end skeens. The staff is really willing to work you on any project, and offer assistance on any works if you have questions. Be sure to say hi to hank the dog when you are there.

Great yarn selection, but not a pleasant experience. Owner was extremely worried about COVID and makes me wonder why they are open. The six foot rule didn’t bother her when taking money only when help was wanted.

I enjoyed the beautiful yarns and the fact that they opened doors conveniently when they were supposed to be closed was worth the visit. However, we felt quite unwelcome as my children wanted to touch the yarn and were told immediately dont touch that, and then my very young son sneezed and she told them dont do that even though he sneezed into his elbow. Yikes.

This is a great shop for those looking for something other than the same old commercial yarns. I came home with 8 indie dyed skeins, all from different dyers and that just scratched the surface!

Absolutely lovely little local store for all of your needlework needs. The staff was extremely helpful and on top of their fiber arts game. I just finished the cutest little (a big one) slouchy knit hat with the magic loop method and it is the only hat I can say I cant do without. They are super welcoming and always ready to help you get what you need and find out what that would be in the first place. Im planning on stopping in before heading back to college to get some project yarn. I cant recommend them enough.

I stopped by the yarn store while visiting Virginia Beach. There was an amazing selection of yarn, knitting and crocheting tools and accessories, and all sorts of beautiful bags. The lady who was running the store was great. She dyes her own yarn. She was very, very friendly and polite and helpful.

This place is the (yarn) bomb! The owner is super friendly, the yarn selection is phenomenal, and the classes are really great! Also, they have the cutest, most gene shop dog named Hank. Im a brand new knitter and the Yarn Club welcomed me with open arms. Every time Ive had a question about my projects, theyve helped me so much and so thoroughly. I took the toe up sock class (part I) with Lora and I am knitting socks like a pro. Also, there are tables off to one side where you can just hang out and knit! I think that may be the best part. TL; DR if youre looking for a great place to buy quality yarn or take classes, this is the shop for you!

Amazing yarn shop! They have a beautiful selection of natural fibres and the shop assistant who helped me was great. She wound my hanks which I really appreciated, and even gave me some local recommendations since I am just passing through town. I definitely recommend this yarn shop! I could have looked around for hours. There are so many beautiful yarns in so many colors. I visited while I was on vacation, but I wish I lived nearby so I could come every day!!Staff was friendly and offered recommendation and was happy to answer questions. Come visit if you have a chance!

Not only do they have a great selection of yarn, they offer classes in crotchet, knitting and weaving. They have all the supplies to complete your projects. There is always someone available to answer questions and resolve any problems you may be having. Seriously if you are interested in yarn crafts you need to check The Yarn Club out!

By far the nicest yarn store Ive ever visited! Gorgeous and plentiful choices of yarn, long communal table where people can gather to knit and crochet, very friendly and helpful store owner, and a sweet dog who comes to greet every customer! Now I have to move to VA Beach!!! Thats all there is to it!

I absolutely adore this place! Everyone here is so welcoming and helpful, whether its the staff helping you or other patrons of the store these people make you feel like family. Their crochet and knit groups on Wednesdays are a blast with a plethora of colorful and caring personalities, Ive learned so much in the past two weeks from these groups and Im so thankful. I went from not being able to read patterns at all to being able to fallow one confidently as well as learning how to knit. This store is a very warm and caring place that strives to teach people and supply people with their wide variety of gorgeous yarns in all different fibers. If you have the time this cozy yarn heaven is definitely a place worth checking out and supporting.

The Yarn Club is one of the largest yarn stores on the east coast, and its the only LYS in Virginia Beach. The owner is warm and kindhearted. She takes the time to get to know her customers and makes me feel special whenever I go. There is an active community of regulars who come to stitch together regularly as well. You cant go wrong by stopping in!

Best yarn shop around. Andrea and her crew bring great yarns and notions together so you can create beautiful things. Everyone is so helpful. There is always a class coming up featuring a method or a designer to help you learn something new.

This place is fantastic. First and foremost, you are going to have a hard time finding a store with more variety and a larger inventory. They carry yarns from all over the world, in every weight, in every color and gradient and kit you can imagine. They also carry a full range of notions, hooks, needles, knitting bowls, etc. If you need help or want to be social, they have classes and a space to knit with friends. This store also carries weaving looms by Ashford and I believe offers weaving classes as well.However the biggest boon to this store is the owner, Andrea. She not only curates a fabulous collection of yarns to choose from, but she also is helpful and willing to go out of her way for you. Case in point: I live 3+ hours away but am addicted to a particular yarn no one else in the area carries. I had some $$ to spend yesterday and wanted a few (read: 10) new skeins. I headed south, happy to be on my way to yarn paradise. Traffic made my day a bit sketchy, and before I knew it there was a chance I wasnt going to be there by 5. I called the store. Andrea not only stayed a bit late for me, she did it on a day she had something else important to her to be at. THAT is customer service!Andrea and staff run a fun store, and theres no way you could walk in here needing yarn and walk out without finding something you like. If youre not sure what direction you want to go in, just ask. Someone will help you firm out your plans and figure out what you need. Andrea is also the sheep behind the Sheep Graffiti label, she is a dyer herself who makes really great gradient kits and fun colors of her own. If you wonder if this place is worth the drive, it is. The people were really pleasant, but they never call me beck after I was placed on a class waiting list.

I have never had a bad experience here. Andrea has the most helpful staff and loves to see other knitters suceed. The moment that cemented my love for this store was about a year ago, I was working on a scarf for a wedding present and my cast off was waaay too tight. Andrea had me undo it and taught me a stretchy bind off that has become my new go to. I have moved further away now but the drive is worth it for the experience. You will never regret your decision to shop here.

All sorts of interesting, different, and super squishable yarn awaits! And of course, Andrea and her staff are just as wonderful as ever--always ready to help you find the perfect color, fibre, and weight for the project youve got in mind.This place has quickly become my number one LYS. Andrea (owner/manager) is so friendly and happy to see you when you come in, and she knows just what kind of skein youll want to squish. The staff are happy to help you figure out what youll need for any project, and if they dont have it, they can usually order it in. If you havent found this little gem, better haul out your treasure map - this place is solid gold!

We popped in at 5:30, right before closing and everyone was just lovely- gracious, kind and knowledgeable. The pattern selection was amazing and very current, as well as the booklets available. Also, the yarn selection was well thought out and gorgeous. They even have the red lace chai goo needles! So hard to find! I work in an LYS and I cant give any higher praise to this place. They rock.

I bought the yarn $70.00 worth. First time I visited. When I got home, I realized that one of the patterns required a different kind of yarn then the one I bought. I called and the manager said they charge a percentage for exchanges. Well, needless to say, they will not see me there again.
