Stopped by and saw Matt one day when I was really in a bind. I had just been shammed by European autoworker on a fuel pump job and need it fixed. With no appointment I showed up in the rain and he saw my problem and immediately said I can’t let you leave with your car in this situation and within 2 hrs o I was out the door and haven’t had a problem since! Brought SUV in for AC issues and Steering issues. Assessed issues and suggested repairs. Took good care of my vehicle and did excellent job making sure my vehicle got the work done that was needed. Even argued with the warranty people to get the CORRECT work done. Straight up conversation with what was going oon and no BS explaining a delay which did occur but was understandable.Hopefully I wont need more work done on my vehicle but if I do I will return.

Absolutely would not recommend. My wife dropped off our SUV that just had a brand new battery installed but the car was starting up inconsistently. The car was under warranty and we asked if they could take a look. They had the car for five and a half hours. They diagnosed it as a loose battery terminal cable. Charge for tightening up a cable with two strokes of a wrench, $115.

Quality people, quality work, quality place. Matt and his team will not steer you wrong! Integrity is a must in my book and I noticed the little things they did to finish the work on my Jeep. The first time I went here, I had an issue that could have been easily misdiagnosed, and without my prior knowledge of exactly what was wrong thanks to my OBD2 reader, they could have charged me an arm and a leg for a bogus repair, but didnt. Honest people, good prices, I highly recommend them.

My first time there was getting some warranty work done on my 2016 Ford Edge. I was very impressed with the comfortable lobby, clean restroom, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff and most of all with the quality of the work they did on my vehicle returning it in perfect condition and of course repairing my issue correctly the first time!

They not only did a regular oil change, they checked that my vehicle would be safe for a trip I took. Very good at what they do and very reasonable. The best and honest place to go in the tidewater area. Bottom line if you want a mechanic to look at your car and not hustle you and give you quality service Matt is the man to contact I promise you that. I have a Jeep Patriot that Matt had several problems figuring out the problem. They took in in and out about 5 times to see why the cv axle was not rotating correctly. It was eventually discovered why and when I got the car it ran perfect. And the great thing was I was only charged with for my transmission work and even though it was a pain in the butt to figure out the issue he stayed persistent and got me the correct part because the parts sold at the auto stores was different. And he made it happen and keep me informed about the process

Never again! I tell Matt what I need done to my vehicle. Then I proceeded to tell him what the issue was and how to repair the problem. All I wanted was a price quote. After keeping my vehicle for two days Matt gave me quote that was outrageous.I declined the repairs. However, when to retrieve my vehicle, he presented me with charge of $230.00 for diagnosis the problem. On the bill, his diagnosis was word for word of what I told two days ago. Bringing this to his attention didnt erase the cost. Crook ! Never again ! The five stars have got to be fake reviews/ fake news.

I am not a car guy, and everywhere else Ive ever been, I always felt that fact was taken advantage of. Matt, Baker, and the rest of the crew at Mid-Atlantic Domestic SUV treat me right, and do great work on my car, at an extremely fair price! They dont pressure me to get extra work done. They even laid out a plan of what I need to do, and which is the most important to do first for safety reasons. I honestly finally feel like I now have a car guy in my corner! When I needed some unplanned work done to pass state inspection, they got on it quickly, at a great price, and fixed my car up! Dont let the name of the place fool you, they work on everything, even my Chevy Cobalt! If you need work done on your car, I HIGHLY recommend them! I am so glad this place was recommended to me, and they will be the only ones working on my car from now on!

I am not from Virginia and my Chevy Tahoe has over 255K miles on it, so finding a mechanic that would be honest and reasonably priced was difficult. Matt and MAD SUV treated me with the respect of a friend not a customer. I was on the fence about fixing the issues or buying a new car. Now that MAD SUV has replaced the bearings and arms on the front end, I feel confident that my Tahoe will make it to 300k miles. It drives better than than it did when I left New Orleans 5 years ago. I gotta tell you - there was a dealer technical bulletin out about my 2007 GMC Acadia and timing chain issues These guys fought every inch of my engine. (7 times) It did take a while. But was a pretty difficult task to accomplish. I really cant applause enough the fortitude, stamina and drive of these mechanics. Matt, Nate, Baker - all did EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to get the JOB DONE!!! - Today, I drove away with a better SUV than I had purchased 2 years ago - Increased fuel efficiency, and all of the other perks. The most trusted shop Ive ever been to! Prompt service, honest pricing, great communication. Theyve saved my car on numerous occasions and brought it back to life. Had my timing belt break and Matt was able to fix it and get it running again! After black ice sent me into a curb and bent my control arm they got me in the next day and had me driving away that evening. Got my AC running cold again in the summer heat!
