Transmission was slipping so I took it in, they put a air hose on that had fell off and said it was fixed, changed me $98 they obviously didn’t take it for a road test and once I drove away I had the same problem. Ended up needing a new transmission $8400 to fix. Everyone wants to make a quick dollar and not do any work.
I was hoping for the experience I had with Chuck Cecil that founded European autowerks in Va Beach! I took my car in because. The previous owner had the power steering pump replaced at the Yorktown location a couple of weeks before I purchased the car. I was told it was a leak in the hose and not the pump. I agreed to the repair. When I called to see why it was taking so long and I had not received a call, Ed informed me it was the metal hose for hydraulic. I agreed to replace it and because It had to be order. I ask them to check why my moonroof wouldnt close Ed told me it would be $98 for an estimate. When I called to check he told. me it would be an additional $398 because they needed to drop the ceiling. I agreed to the price. When I arrived to check on the car he didnt start on the moonroof saying he didnt want to start the car before with hose off. When I arrived that Friday gto get my car it wasnt ready. He gave me a print out with a n estimate for $1159 and told me he would call me on Monday. When I arrived he charged an additional $298 to put the ceiling back up. My bill now was $2179 with no moonroof closed. I asked if it could be manually closed and Ed said no. Almost $600 later and my moonroof is still 0pened. Yesterday apart falls off the ceiling that no one told me was broken. Front bumper not on tight. Disappointed!!! Car not washed and palm prints on the windshield.
Unfortunately my experience was terrible. I took my vehicle to Auto Haus, I advised them of the issues the dealership said I had as well as a feeling of vibration. Auto Haus still ran their own diagnostic test to confirm the issue and they advised me of another issues that I needed to fix IMMEDIATELY. I gave Auto Haus over 3k to order the parts for my car before they even started to fix the vehicle (never had that requested from any other company previously used). I set an appointment for the repairs, three days later I get a call stating all of the work has been complete, but there is still vibration at 50mph. So, after spending over $5000- I left out of Auto Haus with with same exact issue I came in with. The Manager advised me it will be another $1800 to fix the issue- because now they know what the issue is. Ive never in my life felt so used, dismissed, or helpless. Im not sure how many people have 5000 to throw away but I dont. Please learn from my mistake, just go somewhere else!!
We went to Auto Haus to get work done to my wifes Audi A8. They have always worked with us especially when the warranty company gave them so much grief. I appreciate the hard work and professionalism also being fair pricing. They didnt lie or try to scam us as some other places has and kept to there word on time lines. We cant thank them enough! *Mercedes Owner Beware* Autohaus used to be my only place for my car issues. The “new guy” was very offsetting and promised me that the problem I had (vibration during acceleration) was fixed. Instead they charged me for control arms that had nothing to do with my primary issue! They told me the car drives way better which it does not. Took the car back after Ed told me he would get a mechanic to view. Mechanic did nothing to right the wrong and my car is still having same issue almost 3k later. Broke my heart let alone my pockets. Please beware.

Ive been going to Auto Haus in Virginia Beach since being opened. They have been responsible for doing all types of work on my four vehicles (Saab, Mercury, VW and Nissan). The mechanics are very knowledgeable. Being 73, I trust them to let me know what repairs actually need to be done and ensure they are done right. Ive had other places that tried to have me get work done that was not required. I would recommend Auto Haus to anyone needing repairs or basic maintenance on their vehicles.
If you own a Mercedes, don’t let these people near it. They can’t even change oil correctly. After telling them my car takes 6 quarts of oil, they overfill it and charge me for 7 quarts of oil, at $9.19 a pop for Castrol non synthetic, for a total charge of $115.33 before taxes, shop supplies and hazardous materials charges. I had a 9am appointment and I got out of there at 11:55. I also had them install a serpentine belt for which they charged me another $118.They also wanted to use Mobile 1 synthetic oil for my 1986 SL. Do yourself a favor and find a good factory trained mechanic to work on your Mercedes.
Auto Haus is my “go to shop”. I have an older vehicle which has required a lot of maintenance over the years. The employees are very professional and informative. I feel as if they always go above and beyond to make sure my questions are answered and that I understand the required service. They are ethical and a reliable shop and I would 100% recommend them to anyone in need of auto repairs.

I took my car here for A/C diagnosis and I was advised that the reason it wasn’t working was because of the battery dying. The battery light in my car was never on but since I take my car here on a regular I trusted that answer until I spoke with others and I was told that was definitely a lie! After having the new battery put in, they told me they discovered a leak when putting in Freon...why wouldn’t the leak be detected when the diagnosis was completed??? I was charged for Freon but advised when I bring the car back to change the part I would not be charged for it again. After bringing the car back to have the new part put in I was told that the compressor is no longer coming on and I need to schedule an appointment where they can have more time to find the problem. Makes me question why I paid for a diagnosis the first time...I left and decided not to schedule another appointment because at this point I think they are incompetent, possibly because I’m a woman....Ive been having them service my car since I bought it from their Yorktown location but I don’t believe I’ll go back at this point. When Joey was there I never had any issues until now and he is not with the company anymore.

This place are con artist. Ed will tell u anything then retract it later. Please don’t take your car here!!! They will charge you and you still won’t know what’s wrong just a big bill. This location has been an absolute God-Send since its opening. The typical cost of Euro car repair prior to Autohaus has been SUBSTANTIALLY higher with FAR more time spent isolating issues and pursuing aforementioned repairs.The speediness of my vehicles return on top of the issue being TRULY resolved in a permanent manner has re-established my faith and trust in mechanics, again.These folks are wonderful. My VW engine needed to be de-carbed. A local dealer was quoting almost $300 more than Auto Haus. No brainer—much cheaper, job was done well, service was good.

Found Auto Haus (Virginia Beach) on a recommendation for Mercedes repairs. Very clean office, Joey was my service rep and kept me well apprised of what was going on with my car throughout the process by pushing information. Great customer service, shuttle service was available, military discount. Very happy with repairs to my wife’s car, no baggage, no up-sales. My car didn’t react for them like it did me, so I left happy with a diagnostic check. When the issue presents itself again (it will) I won’t hesitate to take it back. I felt everything was very transparent and at a reasonable price.

I had some emergency car issues this week. 5 places refused to take me in ASAP to even diagnose the problem. I didn’t know where to turn! But what I found was right under my nose because this place is literally walking distance to my house. They took my car in when nobody else would. Diagnosed the problem, got me in ASAP and now I barely recognize my car! Everything seems better now! I don’t even think it looked this good when I first bought it! I didn’t meet much of the staff, but judging by how I feel about the work, I’m pretty sure they all get 5 stars. Joey was the main person I worked with and I’m telling you, his face should be in the dictionary next to “excellence.” My brief time spent in the office, you can tell, Joey knows how to treat people and make them feel like they are in good hands. It’s going to be hard to top this place. Also, mad props to their detailing guy. Places that specialize in detailing could learn a thing or three from Autohaus. Thanks for the great service!!
A pleasure to have my car serviced here — friendly service, prompt feedback, willingness to explain and provide options (e.g., OEM vs. quality aftermarket part). They’re thorough in assessing your car... but then again if you care enough to repair your car properly in the first place, that’s exactly what you should want!

UPDATE:Recently had my Audi A4 back to Auto Haus. My wife and I were planning a 2,500 mile trip in our little convertible with 130K on it. We brought it in for a good once over to assure it was ready for the trip.In addition to a few minor items, the technician diagnosed a bad ball joint end on an upper control arm and recommended replacing the drivers side set. A day or two after approving the repair, something tickled my memory, driving me back to maintenance records. Sure enough, both side upper control arms had been replaced less than 20K miles earlier by a local mechanic.I emailed Steve to express a concern, as they appeared ready to replace new parts. Steve was firm that his technician was right; new or not, the ball joint end was bad. I asked for the used parts, which he gladly provided. On examination of the parts, the mechanic whod installed them bore out Auto Haus diagnosis, and returned them under warranty.Auto Haus had my trust and respect prior to this experience which simply reinforced their expertise and professionalism. This is the team to which we entrust anything major on our Audi.Original review from Dec 2018:These folks are the real deal. Have an Audi A4 Cabriolet which developed a timing issue that stumped several competent qualified mechanics including a dealer. It took the folks at AutoHaus a few days to figure it out, but they solved what others could not.Have since had the car to them for a few other issues, from head gasket to climate control. They are professional, competent, and a pleasure to deal with.They are not cheap; you get what you pay for, and quality comes at a price. Compared to a dealer, however, their expertise is a bargain.

These guys are awesome! I bought a 2007 C Class with one of the M 272 engines that was part of the class action and recalls. The balance shaft gears needed to be replaced. Its an expensive and time comsuming repair. I got an estimate from Auto Haus and another import garage. Auto Haus agreed to match the price from the other garage. Before I dropped off my car, Pizza Car, Joey asked me how often I would like updates. He called, texted and emailed me about the progress of the repiars. The staff at Auto Haus delivers superior customer service, they are friendly, supportive and understanding. If you choose to drive a German money pit, you should choose a great shop. These guys are the best! This is my second aging Benz and I wish I took Pizza Car Senior here.
Went here today for some pretty simple preventative maintenance (air filter). I was especially impressed with the level of service I received from Joey and the rest of the AutoHaus team. I like to ask a lot of questions as German vehicles are notoriously complicated and the staff not only answered my questions but seemed to genuinely embrace and appreciate my interest in the vehicle and the conversation. I paid over 5000 dollars to have them wreck my engine on my Audi S4. I have to go to court to try and get my money back they refuse to admit they wrecked my car. They made no effort to make things right after all the damage they caused. The service team is the worst I have ever encountered in 20 years! It is terrible what they did to my car they could have tried to solve the problems they created but instead they just lied about them. Do not ever bring your car here, they tried and failed to do a timing service, I could get not even start my car the next day after the service I brought it back three times they still did not fix it. I finally brought the car to another shop to fix most of the damage. The next garage found bolts missing from the engine major oil leaks. Save your car avoid this place at all cost.

I took my mercedes in to get service. They walked me thru it and were so easy to talk to, Especially Travis who is very professional. And they were so much less expensive than the dealership.
Do not ever take your car to this place, the work is of very poor quality and they over charge. They ended up braking more things on my car then they fixed. I left there with a broken AC and oil leaks ect. Stay AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
I have a 2010 Q5 Audi and make an appointment on a Friday because my sunroof will not move. They are very kind and give me a ride home, I live close. They call to tell me if I dont need a shade, this will be the price of my repair. My shade currently works so I am confident everything will work out. I call Tuesday to check on the car and they are almost finished, just need to sync it. I get a ride over Wednesday to pick it up from a co-worker, the bill is much more expensive than I was quoted. Not only did they replace the shade but also charged me for the initial ~$94 inspection fee. Arent inspection fees generally absorbed into the cost once you approve the repair? So my thought is, after watching a youtube video of someone removing a sunroof in a Q5, that Auto Haus damaged my shade while dragging it across my seats and charged me for it because it worked when I took it in. I drive the car home and my wife says did you try the sunroof, no of course I didnt - I was in sticker shock over the price. I go out and try the sunroof and it does not work, still after almost three-thousand dollars in repairs. I call Auto Haus, they ask me to bring it back because they forgot to sync it, so I stop by after work Thursday. Now when I left Auto Haus Wednesday my backup camera did not work but as I said I was too upset over the charges to care, it worked prior. Thursday when I returned for the sync I asked the manager(?) about the possibility of them turning it off accidentally since my scanner said the camera had no signal. He told me they did not touch that setting, without even looking or scanning the car and after charging me an astronomical amount of money and asking me to return to fix their error. They did however offer for me to make another appointment, pay them more money to have them research why my camera didnt work...I still think it is related to them programming my sunroof. Too much of a coincidence my camera has no signal right after they unplugged their scanner. I do not recommend this business unless you have very deep pockets.

My experience, I had my car inspected by them in 2018, I do not drive this car And had only put about 90 to 100 miles on it last year. I brought it back in 2019 and they failed it for inner tie rod and sway link. They quoted me prices for that repair to pass inspection and also quoted me for other things they wanted to repair. I have mechanical experience and decided to do the necessary repairs to pass the inspection. Brought it back in a couple days for the re inspection. They failed it again for the steering rack and told me they had made a misdiagnosis and the other repairs were not necessary. I do not trust anything they say at this point. The review should be a negative five.
Needed spark plug hole rethreaded. Charged for 1.5 hours labor. Told it was running rough. They wanted to recheck it in the morning. I called at 3 p was told they couldnt find anything, wrong. Adjusted idle screw and charged me an additional hour. Not happy

I took my MB 1970 280SL to Autohaus on a trailer. It had not run for 6 years nor been driven more than a few miles in the last twenty.The staff discussed the work with me, proceeded quickly to do the work needed while keeping me updated on progress. Costs for labor were reasonable and the work through and well done. Material costs should be discussed as materials are needed.I plan to have further work done at Autohaus in Williamsburg in the near future.

What a PHENOMENAL place. The environment is really an extension of Yorktown but it reminices of the classic showroom in Williamsburg as well. May favorite concept in this place is the way they show you THEY APPRECIATE THE CUSTOMERS. They wabt your business, even honoring a free inspection for customers who bought cars from them; even offering to clean my ride when I brought it in for routine inspection.Not afraid to say I service my own car, but still call Auto Haus when I plan for big service stops.This place is FAST!Virginia Beach location is great for service, but DONT shop for used inventory on the car lot yet as thats more Yorktown04 Nissan Titan w/ street performance upgrades
