I highly recommend this company. Stacy and Sam are professional, friendly, trustworthy (which is a big deal to us!) and knowledgeable. They are reasonably priced and do quality work. Like everyone else right now, they have some staffing issues- but they are proactive in keeping you informed of progress and delays in the repairs. Stacy was very helpful and honest with all the inspections that were done. Turned out we had a nail in the tire and was gonna get it repair with him. But he was very honest and told us it never punctured through so all we paid for was the inspection price. This is the second time we trusted him with our vehicle. The first time we needed our wheel bearings replaced and he did a great job getting our car sounding and running great!!!Highly recommend!!! Very honest mechanic!!!

I learned today that scheduling my service for an appointment time means waiting 6 hours for a simple inspection. I will be sending my review to coporate so that maybe future customers can actually get the services that were requested. It makes no sense to have the time approved prior to scheduling only to not have the proper personnel available to complete the service. This was not used as an appointment. This was used for a bean counter to look at potential income instead of worrying about customer satisfaction. I will repost this anywhere that a review can be left.

I called really close to closing time with questions about a state inspection and I was honestly expecting someone to be short/annoyed with all of my questions and I was pleasantly surprised with the man who answered the phone. I wish I would have gotten his name, but he was so helpful and patient with my questions and told me to bring my vehicle in first thing in the morning to get checked out. We brought our Saab here for inspection after moving here from Massachusetts, & the Master Tech gentlemen (&, they ARE gentlemen!) took care of all that was making my car wonky to drive, so that it feels like driving a new car again. This is place to take your car if you want someone you can trust and who knows cars. Second visit to Stacy and his MasterTech team; this time for a starting issue and second time of excellent service. Thought I had a starter or alternator problem, fortunately MasterTech conducted a complete set of tests to conclude the battery was to blame. After first contacting me to advise the problem, Stacy and his team replaced my battery, and my 2013 F-150 is starting like new.

Stacy and his team were amazing to work with! I called Stacy on a Wednesday morning, he told me to bring it in that morning. I brought it in at 1130a. Got a text with descriptions of the issues and pictures to support. Then a phone call with further explanation and the pricing to fix the problem. Picked up my car same day at 530p. All fixed! Amazing customer service! Trustworthy and efficient. I didn’t want to spend the money but I’m glad I spent it with MasterTech Auto Care! They have me as a customer for life!

When looking for a shop to restore my 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme I was very skeptical of who would take the time to properly diagnose problems and accurately charge me to fix whatever issues were found. Matertech did just that, I was constantly being updated on what they were doing, what needed to be done, and how long it was going to take to do it. I am very thankful to now have a shop I can go to for whatever service work I need on my automobiles. I would highly recommend them to anybody who doesn’t want to be left in the dark and/or confused with the dealerships money hungry sales reps.

Excellent service! Just went in today to get my 2000 camry inspected. They were honest, polite and professional. I have never been a fan of Virginia state inspection due to previous dishonest mechanics that have tried to tell me I needed things that I did not in fact need. These guys were upfront about a few items that needed minor attentions and backed up their statements with detailed photos and a description of each. The moment my car was done with inspection they sent me an email notifying me of completion along with all the pictures and descriptions mentioned previously. Will definitely be coming back here for all my vehicle inspections from here on out!

Took my truck in for a basic state inspection. Highly impressed by the professionalism of the staff. What impressed me the most though, were the texts and emails, complete with pictures showing the work being done. After some bad experiences at other shops, this extra touch put my mind at ease. 10/10, Will certainly use them again.

I acquired a 2007 Mercedes convertible that had 100k miles and had not been inspected in three years. After getting several quotes from places specializing in foreign autos, MasterTech gave me a quote which was far less than any other shop in the area. I received a very detailed estimate before any work began, and Stacy kept me in the loop on every step. It is clear that these folks know their stuff when it comes to foreign cars and they have by far the best rates i could find in the area. I would highly recommend this shop.

Great place to take your car! There can be a bit of a wait (1 maybe 2 days) to get your car scene. But if getting you car diagnosed and fixed properly and completely the first time for an honest and fair price is important, this is your place to go. Great guys to take your car to. I asked master tech to get me a estimate on my wife’s cars starter it turns out that the starter was bad and the battery was bad and they replaced both without giving me an estimate and then hit me with 800 some dollar bill. It made us feel very trapped. I could have Bought a battery for less than what they charged which was $278, and probably could’ve gotten a starter for less than $550 with labor . I would get your car towed somewhere else.

Came here when my engine broke down due to a crack and they fixed it within a week and for way cheaper than I thought. Combine that with their knowledge for Japanese cars made me feel very comfortable with leaving my car in their hands. Stacey is awesome and so upfront with everything. That is what I love about this place. Its how transparent they are with their customers. They dont hide anything from you. The owner Stacey Butcher was very professional and helpful during my visit.His technicians were thorough and did a great job on my install. I had some power steering equipment installed and got my state inspection done there too. The parts and labor for everything seemed fair and most importantly I was updated with accurate price quotes at all stages of the experience.This shop is accredited with the BBB and my experience proves their worthiness of that title. A+Side note: I brought some parts in that I bought thinking I could do the work myself. Stacey made sure to keep the packaging for the old parts in good condition so I could make my core returns no problem. He even brought them out and put them in my car! Great owner and hard worker!

Came in for a tire patch. Not only did they fix the tire that had a leak in it, they checked the other tires and found a nail in another tire. I would have had to come in a few days because of a different tire leak. What awesome service. Thanks guys, your the best!

Having grown up in a small town where everyone knew one another and there was only one garage to take your car, I was a bit traumatized the first few times I took my car to shops in the city. I guess being a young female makes me an awesome target to get ripped off. The people here are not like that. The owner is a Christian who was honest, had fair prices and did good, professional work. I will never go anywhere else to have my car fixed again.

Where do I start. Great personal experience at first with the garage crew. They immediately gained my trust so I kept going back. The second time it was “the car needs new brakes” when they were changed 45 days earlier. I trusted them thinking something was seriously wrong with the brake system and put another 500 into all four rotors/pads and even a new caliper. Let’s just say I was able to sell everything I took off to an actual brake garage for $150 because there was nothing wrong with them. Third time I went back I told Stacey I would give his garage 1 more chance and took a car in for inspection. They failed it due to a “faulty right headlight” that wasn’t at all faulty! $100 to purchase a replacement bulb that now can’t be returned and nearly bought the whole light assembly $350 but decided I should just double check the car. Went to pick it up, tested the lights and presto, nothings wrong with them. Total scammers! If they tell you that you need new brakes, take it else where for a second opinion!

Stacy is the most transparent, up front mechanic i have ever met other than my own dad. My engine went out in my LR4 in Oct of 18. After taking it to another place and being charged a ridiculous amount of money to complete a dignostic and a compression test on the engine, I knew it was shot. i decided to have a new engine put in and a friend, who is a mechanic for Lexus Nashville recommended me to Mastertech based off reviews. i am so happy I went to Mastertech, they were able to replace my entire engine and fixed some other issues that were on their way to becoming problematic in a little over 3 weeks. stacy was in contact with us every step of the way and was always very upfront and honest about everything. they did an amazing job. highly recommend to anyone who needs any automotive work. they will not BS you. They are the best mechanics in all of Virginia Beach.

But when I called about getting new brakes on my 2018 Escalade they said “ yea every time you change your brakes you gotta do the rotors too so it will be $800 for front brakes and rotors 😂😂. If you don’t know cars or you are a female i really suggest you go somewhere else . Place is shady .

Dropped my car off today during my lunch for state inspection and was able to get it by the time I got off work. Found my new shop for automotive needs.

My BMW broke down on a Sunday about 115 miles from home. I googled the closest BMW repair shop and had my car towed to Mastertech. I got a hotel that night, then gave them my key that morning at 9am. The guy informed me that they were understaffed and wouldnt be able to get to my car until 12pm, I said thats fine. I return at 12 to wait and I see the mechanics leisurely walking across the street to get Wendys. I observe them working an hour later with no sense of urgency whatsoever. I tell the guy Im sure gonna be mad if you cant fix my car and I have to get it towed back to Richmond, should I tow it to a BMW dealership right now?, he says no, well take a look at it. Then the owner told me he doesnt know much about new cars and is really good at fixing old ones. Come 4pm they take a look and say they found error codes for the fuel pump but cant tell what they mean, so they dont know how to fix my car. So this guy charges me $98 for a diagnostic, and then I have to get a tow truck to tow my car home for $350 . Altogether with hotel, mechanic, and towing I spend over $600, for nothing! I had it towed to a better mechainc, Bimmer Rescue, in Richmond and they fix the fuel pump! Thanks for wasting my time mastertech. They get two stars for being nice at least.

If I can give 0 stars I would!!!!! I took my car to get a state inspection at this place based on the reviews but I guess I was wrong!!!! I left my car over night at this place so my car can be first in line to get inspected. Note this place opens at 8am, they said they would call me as soon as they were done. I waited and waited and waited until finally it was 1pm and still no call. So I called and aske what was the status on my car. Stacey is the guy who picked up the phone, he said oh we finished the car everything was good instead of the left rear seatbelt. I said oh ok, he said they called the dealership and got a price and it was gonna cost about $350 and he can order it by 3pm. I said oh well I dont have that kind of money, so you can give me the rejection sticker and Ill be there in an hour to pick up my car. So I was thinking to myself you werent even gonna call me to tell me that my car was finished!!!! Anyways an hour later when I picked up my car and my boyfriend was with me cuz he was very upset that my car was failed because of that. When we got there it wasnt even ready, myboyfriend wanted to talk to them but they had already called the Virginia State Police, that was unnecessary!!!!! When I finally got my car they didnt even check the middle seat belt that was deep inside the seat. Long story short I think they just tried to get extra money from me and they were gonna install the seatbelt if I didnt call them!!!!!!!! This was my first time gettin my car inspected by myself since I had the car and it was the worst experience of my life!!!!!
