If you want vintage action figures ranging from Batman to Iron Man, the Hulk and others from DC to Marvel, this is the place to go. Take your time in this place because it’s busting feom the walls with great items. They also have an incredible Star Wars collection. This place is amazing. A five ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all the way.

Barrett’s is a great place to buy antiques. The owner is very nice and is willing to talk to you about any questions you may have about their processes or items you may have. He is very knowledgeable. You have to go often as products are always changing. Go here just for fun to see all of the eclectic items. There Old things out there you never knew existed. And as they say, all things old are good.

Bought a beautiful piece of crystal here on Friday. It was supposed to be the perfect wedding gift. While I was waiting in line to check out a young man behind the counter took off part of the green paper tag that was along the bottom of the vase and wrapped the crystal in paper and had it already bagged when it was my turn to check out.I got home and unwrapped it to hand wash it before giving as a gift. I pulled off the green paper & clear packing tape from the base, thats when I saw that this vase had a large chip and the base was cracked. It wasnt a lot of money but I felt gypped. I immediately called the store and was told that I could bring it back in to show the owner but all sales are final. No apology, just all sales are final.Lesson learned. Doubt that I will return. Im sure my patronage wont hurt their business, but for me it spoke volumes to todays mentality on service.

Pros: Neat place to visit. They have a WIDE selection. The store and items are Clean, and The staff was ready to help.Cons: Noticed a vendor that was selling antique Black Face items. 👎🏽 Frankly, It’s just disturbing to see. Last, We were initially charged double for an item and had to redo the transaction. What was turning into a good first experience (despite the black face items) suddenly became very uncomfortable. The staff took care of the incorrect charge; you just can’t help but to wonder if it was a mistake or .... ya know....I could recommend this business to others... just pay attention to pricing.

There is a very large variety of novelty items antiques, and collectables. Lots of rooms filled to the brim with stuff. Employees were friendly. And bathroom was very clean.Only draw back was some of the rooms/areas were a little over filled in the sense that you were afraid to really move around.Other that it was a very pleasant visit.

This place gets high marks for quality, affordable antiques and friendly, helpful staff. But come on folks! There’s a pandemic going on and when septuagenarians like us visit from out of state we like to feel as safe as possible. NONE OF THE STAFF HERE WAS WEARING A MASK! And they weren’t enforcing customers wearing them either. All this with a Virginia mask mandate and COVID cases presently going up sharply. To their credit, when I mentioned masks to the two women at the cash, they immediately put them on without comment. But really! Should not have to remind folks!

The mall is very nice but the two men at the counter on Sunday Jan 24 at 1:40pm were less than welcoming and shrugged off my notice that the collection of pitchers and cookie jars right above them is covered in dust. It’s a shame that the booths look so nice and clean and the front desk and the bathrooms are unkept and dirty with dust. There’s fuzz growing on the fan in the lady’s room.

A really fun place to spend a day as if you were in a museum. So many creative items and antiques galore. I have noticed a lot of reviews on here have mentioned poor customer service. We were shopping around at a few antique places before making any decisions so I can’t yet speak for the customer service; though we plan on returning next weekend. I will update this review if we encounter the same issues as others.

Well after asking the price on a coin op helicopter sitting out front the lady at the register called the owner and he stated a price then asked for a counter-offer. I said I needed to look at it closer to determine whether it could be restored back to working order or just a static display. I figured as long as he was willing to go a little less than what he quoted it would be worth even a static display. Spent half a day getting my trailer prepped, spent $30 on a plug and sat in traffic for 2 hours. When I get there, the same woman called the owner and says he told me the price and NOW price is FIRM! Then I get comments that they cant make money if they always take less then what they are asking. I would have been willing to even give what he originally quoted but since you have no room for negotiating even when you ask me to make a counter-offer, maybe next time just tell me the price is FIRM and I wont bother wasting my time!

This was an amazing experience. My family (of five) and I all wandered around this depot for hours. There were points where we all lost each other in the winding labyrinth of shelves and antiques. Some areas felt impossible to still be part of this store and even our dimension. Highly recommend it. 5/5 starss

Went to a recent auction and the first thing that hit me was a strong smell of cat urine. I looked at items for sell, not a lot of quality, if you are looking to fill flea market tables it might be for you. Seemed shady the way they sold the items of value, if you were new to there auction you really didnt know what was going on and the regulars snatched it up. The few items i got smelled like cat urine and wasnt worth trying to clean, tossed most of it. Wont be back.

I purchased from Barrett street auctions online. Barrett was quick to take my money, shipped my rifle quick as well. My only issue is after. When I picked up my gun, the rear site had broken during shipping, so I sent an email to Barrett and asked them to put in an insurance claim to reimburse me for a new site. Almost a month later and I havent even gotten a response from them. Customer service is non existent.

DO NOT TRUST THIS AUCTION CENTER!! In Oct. I took several items to the Barret St. Auction Center for sale at the 10/31/20 auction. Sandra Giroux and I signed an agreement stating that within 28 days I would be paid proceeds from the sale of my items and the unsold items returned to me. It is now mid-January and I have received no proceeds. I have talked to her on the phone 3 times. Twice she promised the checks from the auction and for items sold on the mall floor would be in the mail within days. Those conversations were in November. She has since stopped responding to messages left with co-workers and on voice mail. These are not the people to trust with your items.

Very cool place, but I do agree with some of the other reviews in that the staff is less than pleasant. I do understand the fragile nature of the inventory but they are so protective over the merchandise that it feels like more of a museum than a retail store. Wow, incredibly rude staff. Im sorry I even went into this place. Anything worth looking at is in one of the many locked cases and the only people working were a very rude lady and a 10 year old girl. Every time I had to ask for a case to be opened I could tell she was irritated to have to help someone. She was very rude to my wife when she asked about something in a case. Its not my showcase, I have no idea was her response to a general question about some antique photographs. Thats fine if you dont know, but you dont have to be nasty about it. I became very uncomfortable even asking her to open cases because she was so huffy about it that I finally gave up and left. But not before paying for the one item my wife wanted, which seemed to completely exhaust what little patience the lady (I think her name was Inga) had left. No smile, no genuine emotion besides utter disgust at having to help someone. As far as the Antiques on offer, it ranged from a few decent pieces that would actually qualify as antiques, all the way up to pure flea market junk that has no place in an Antique mall. Most of the good items were so vastly overpriced that it was almost comical. Whenever Id find a piece I was interested in Id look at the price tag and get a shock.Between the prices, the less than impressive items available, and the rude staff, Ill be skipping this one from now on and I suggest others do the same.

I came here and found some really awesome mid century pieces. You do need to go with some patience as the setup of the place is many different vendor sections and the vendors are not there so the staff is just there to help you purchase. They aren’t there to answer questions as they aren’t familiar with each vendors stuff. If you are willing to put in the effort though you will be happy with the results!

I am very surprised at the some of the unpleasant, and quite frankly, ugly comments on here - my experience was very good. Keep in mind that the service is very personalized - so yes, if other customers arrived before you and are being helped with items that are in glass cases behind a counter, you will need to politely wait your turn. If you were well brought up, this wont be a problem for you:) Becky was busy when I came in - I had wonderful time perusing with my daughter until Becky was free to examine what I wanted to sell.

I havent yet attended an auction, but I have been to the antique mall on a few occasions, and my visits have been mostly enjoyable. My only complaint thus far: few vendors should consider lowering their prices even though I usually see vendors having small sales individually. Overall, theres plenty to look at and a large amount of variety so I would definitely give yourself time to browse. Im able to find the number one thing I always look for which are antique postcards and photos, and any employee Ive had to deal with on my visits has been a pleasure to work with. Id definitely recommend checking this place out especially if you find yourself browsing antique shops frequently like myself.

I’ve shopped here for 5 years, and it’s hit or miss on any given day. Sometimes the staff is courteous and helpful and other times they ignore you or are just rude. I’ve found a few fun treasures, but there is a lot of junk here and very over priced too. I’ve seen many items that they label “vintage” or “antique” that I literally bought a year ago from TJ Maxx or Target, and they are selling used for double the original price. Because the booth owners are never on site, you can’t make an offer or negotiate. They will occasionally call the booth owner for you but it is rare. The items outside are literally junk someone picked up off the side of the road for free that are broken and in terrible condition, that are priced at $25-$100 or more...it’s a joke as you could buy some of them brand new for less. All said it’s a fun place for browsing on a cold rainy Saturday.

Staff is not very professional and extremely rude. I have shopped for years there, and find it the last several visits very unkept, not one staff member walked the areas to ask if you needed anything or if they could put your items up at the counter - this was done in years past. There were three individuals behind the counter, playing / joking amongst themselves - ignoring the customer aspect of a business. My items totaled over $100, and I specifically asked if all my items were included in my packages. The rude response was we ensure that all items are wrapped and in your bags. Well to my surprise one item was not. I called and the individual did not apologize - and informed me they will not mail the item but would hold the item. I live in Chesapeake - it is a 45 min drive for me. My next visit will be my last. And I will never recommend this location again.

Today I got THE worst service from the OWNER. The employees are very nice and helpful and get excited with you when you make a purchase. However, upon paying for my item and getting it ready to take home, the owner appeared out of no where and started giving me very stern and rude advice. I understood he was concerned but he never said who he was and was in no way professional. He actually started arguing with me and he told me he would cancel my sale. Oh well, because my receipt said paid. He then went on a tirade about I was going to move his stuff and wasnt going to lift anything over his furniture. The only item between me and the aisle was a very overpriced and beat up chest which we had no intention of trying to lift an item over. I asked who he thought he was and if that was how he did business that I would not return. He told me he didnt care. I have never in all my life been spoken to by someone (I have worked 20 years in retail) in a store completely unprovoked. He then brought out some employees whom he embarrassed by his awful behavior. They finally intervened and got the man to shot his mouth. He then proceeded to follow us out the door making further remarks about the item not fitting our large vehicle (F350). I will never return. I saw other items I had planned to return for but will buy from Ebay in future. I feel very sorry for his employees having to deal with that. There were other customers watching who were just stunned.
