I went in without an appointment to get a smog test. Jack was on a break or eating lunch. He stopped eating, said there had been a cancellation & he would do it. Within 20 minutes or so I had my smog cert.When I went in, one of the agents was helping another customer. The customer was lost & slightly confused. Also, her phone was dead. The agent printed out a map, explained where she needed to go & gave her the car phone charger from her own car.In both instances its exceedingly rare to find this kind of helpfulness & caring in retail anywhere.I will definitely be using Big Apple for future automotive needs. The kindness & friendliness of the people who work here make it worth the trip. Its the kind of place that makes you feel welcomed.

I took my truck there for breaks squealing when I back up. Thought it needed new rear drums and brakes. They called and determined the rear brakes were fine and only charged me for an inspection. They could have did everything I thought it needed and charged me over $ 400 for it. An honest business is more important than anything else. I must note however as I backed out of there the breaks squealed as always. They didnt attempt to determine what the cause was or tell me the problem was still there.

I brought my car in for a complimentary AAA Summer Vehicle Checkup. I called close to 5 p.m. on a Friday and received a 9 a.m. appointment for the following Monday. The technician did a 53-item inspection, which the car passed. The only issue was a recommended deodorizing of the HVAC system. Having driven here from Texas recently, I was greatly relieved to find so little wrong with my car. Everyone who helped me was very professional and extended hospitality to make me feel welcome. I would gladly recommend this business for anyone who needs automotive servicing.

I Have a 2007 Mustang and was having a hard time finding anyone service my sealed transmission at 94k miles. Big Apple Auto was one of the few. Had Auto trans fluid and filter changed and other fluids changed since previous owner had it sit for awhile.Never taken a vehicle to a shop before, especially since its my first car so was nervous but the service was quick and professional. Price was higher than expected, but the work was quality and the car now has got some pep with the fresh fluid.Get some quotes before you commit to this shop. However, if your willing to spend a bit more for the quality work they do and need it done fast, and never been to a shop...I reccomend Big Apple Auto. Might just be my new regular shop.Posted a picture of my car... just because lol.

The burger was good as usual. Ive never gotten a BAD burger from Tommys. BUT the price. OMG. Almost $10. for a cheeseburger, oh I forgot w/chili, fries and a coke. It wasnt that long ago when I got the same thing for almost $6. The drink was a little smaller but still. If I take my grandchildren sorry, theyll have to contribute to the bill.

The staff at Big Apple are always so friendly and helpful. The service is great, thorough, and fair. The shop and office are always clean and comfortable to wait in. They go out the way to keep you informed of your vehicle at all times. I highly recommend any one of their facilities for all your repair needs.

They have great customer service although their technicians seem to be overwhelmed forgetting things and that can be very costly! Joanne was amazingly wonderful at the Apple Valley location

Ive been going here for over 5 years now. They have great customer service, are AAA approved ( which means all parts have a 2 year or 24,000 mile warranty!) and above all, they are HONEST! Theyll tell you whats wrong with your vehicle, what needs to be fixed now and issues that should be addressed later. They send you all that information via a text complete with pictures of the part ON YOUR CAR, not some random manufacturer picture. Its an awesome new tool they have that leaves no question as to what they are talking about! No pressure and no bull! I highly recommend this place.

I actually had my vehicle serviced by Big Apple a few months ago. Ive been meaning to leave a review but havent until now. Sorry for that.I brought my vehicle in because I thought I was just having issues with my fuel pump. It turned out after further investigation that it was more than that. It was actually an electrical issue that was quite common with my vehicle. When at first I was frustrated thinking I already knew what was wrong with my vehicle, Big Apple took the time to do it right! They explained the situation thoroughly to me and showed me what quality service was all about. This is the place I trust when it comes to my vehicle . It doesnt all come cheap. But its done right the first time.

I went for a diagnosis for my non working ac after going to 2 places prior. The staff and owners were extremely helpful and went the extra 100 miles to help. I was there with my 2 kids and they immediately offered water, fruit and snacks!! O u t s t a n d I n g customer service. Will be returning for sure!!

There is a michanic who works there white skinny guy with tattoos all over drives a black vehicle, he likes to reassure you your car is safe and willing to drop you off at home,, dont because I left my car in there Care to find out later on they broke my cap to my oil and didnt bother telling me, I had to find out when I got home, very disappointed I was a loyal customer but honesty is everything to me and they act like they didnt know what I was talking about,, very frustrating, I wont go back...

These people literally saved us. We were traveling through from Phoenix, AZ to the Bay Area and a part broke on our van. We called EVERYWHERE and the only place that we could get into quickly and who had the part was Big Apple. They gave us a fair price for the quick work. The waiting area was comfortable, spacious, and clean. The staff were so kind to us and our young children!! They spent time just getting to know us which made us feel so much more appreciated. I highly recommend using this shop if you live in the area or are traveling through.

I went in with a check engine light and got a diagnostic which I was told that cylinder 1 had normal ware and cylinder 3 had antifreeze going in it. Long story short they had my car for over 2 weeks charging me man hours up to $3,500 with the engine dismantled and it would cost me another $3,500 to put it back together the way it was without fixing the problem. To fix what was wrong with it it was gonna cost me $6,000 to $11,000 and keep this in mind they still said they didnt know what was wrong with it after two weeks. I ended up towing the car from theyre shop to another. The other shop said it was a head gasket issue and was fixed in 2 days for $1,500. This is my personal experience and all Im saying is I lost a lot of money with no repair, I lost a lot of time with no car to drive.

Very professional very efficient. I will go there for any matter regarding tires, suspension etc. The staff in the lobby and the mechanics were all very nice and hospitable to me while I waited. Very satisfied with the work I had done.

A lady name Melinda answered the peace and joy in her voice stop me rite there I was sold. So I went and boi when I got there it was as if everyone knew me and we loved each other! Crazy huh a car shop!!! But I left there with hopes with a smile and joy in my heart!!! And all I needed was some tires!! And the prices are very responsible and if they can’t fix it they will recommend you somewhere else to go !! Yes people this is a true story! I have yet to meet a more friendly bunch of people. EVERY customer they have they treat with respect. They treat their vehicles as if it was one of theirs and its great quality. They will work with you if you have an issue that you cant quite understand or fix on your own.

I had to go to Big Apple Automotive for a job that Jiffy Lube has messed up on and Big Apple had my truck truck ready in 3 days to my liking. They did a great job. I drove my truck to Arizona and it was flawless. They had to replace both front spindles, rotors/hubs for on my truck they are one unit, breaks and break hoses. They were very professional to me. Darren was great with me for he and I had to deal with Jiffy Lube for payment. He was very understanding on my predicament. The service man that had worked on my truck showed me and told me whatt all he did to it to make it road worthy again and for me and my truck to be safe on the highway. They will have my future maintenance work on my truck. Thanks to everyone that was involved for working with me for all of you will have a comeback customer.

This company will break your car parts and say they didnt do it,, and charge your for something they broke there is alot of dishonesty and not only it happened to me but other people i know,, it happened to over there,,save your self a head ack and find someone else..

Charge for a diagnostics but if you get the vehicle repaired the fee isn’t waived. What a rip off. You still pay for the diagnostics in addition to the repairs.

I can’t say enough good things about Big Apple. Professional, friendly, thorough, fast. From the moment I walked through the door, I was treated great. Melinda was courteous while taking in my requests and info for service. Left my truck and received an email and text message with a detailed printout of the services I requested and a couple more that were recommended. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from Darren (who is awesome), to follow up with my choice of services. Confirmed everything and they went to work. A couple of days later, I was back on the road and my truck is running great again. I couldn’t be happier. These guys were top notch from start to finish. Shop is clean and service is phenomenal. Never going anywhere else.

I trust that my car which is not only a vehicle I drive but carries my loved ones, takes me to and from work to make money and so in essence is the thing that helps me function.. The staff there always kept me informed of all aspects of the repairs. The quoted price never changed. They were honest and extremely friendly. I recommend this business to anyone looking for an honest mechanic.

They Were Friendly, however i was quoted at almost 800$ for a simple thermostat replacement and a smog check on my car, 215$ for the part, which was ridiculous, 50$ for the smog which was reasonable, but there’s 400$ there that i’m guessing was labor charges, also wanted to have me pay 150 for them to look at it in case that wasn’t the issue, i bought the part from autozone for less the 100, and replaced it myself in less then an hour, do your research before you just come out of pocket. also this is not to discredit this business, just my personal experience.

My air conditioner died and this was the only place that could work on it with short notice. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars because they kept suggesting additional work. I did do a couple of things but they kept at it. The waiting area was very pleasant and they had complimentary drinks, fruit, and donuts.

The first time I came, they charged me $1000 for a part that still made the same noise when I left. I took it back, and found out that wasnt the problem. These guys overcharge for something they couldnt figure out. I had to tell them the part and all of a sudden they knew what to fix. They charged for a diagnostic that they didnt even know themselves. The next time almost charged $500. If your not cash strapped, steer away from this place.

Im always skeptical when taking my car to mechanics, mainly because I have no knowledge of these things. Big Apple Automotive was great! They were courteous, professional and I had no worries. Im very thankful that I was directed there.

2 stars only. Could not get a phone quote for a radiator replacement. Somehow 2 other shops were able to provide a quote. Once they get you there then you are more likely to agree with there pricing given the time you invested to get there. If this is what you get on the phone what can you expect once they have you there. Poor service.

Darren is awesome! He got my Ford Diesel truck up and running. I had to take it back couple of months after because of an issue that came up with my oil pump and he got it back on the road for me and my truck is running strong against! Definitely not the cheapest shop but you get what you pay for! Thank you Darren and your entire team of technicians! Also The owners are amazing and very friendly! I trust them with all my cars.

I Blew a turbo in my 05 6.0. A 130 miles from home and had to find a shop to have it towed to. Upon speaking with Darren from big apple he assured me they would be able handle the issue quickly and confidently he was extremely helpful and kept me up to date with the the whole process i was very impressed with the level of professionalism that came from this shop. I would definitely recommend them if you are around the victorville area

They are professional and get the job done. The service prices are higher than the dealer. What I dont like is when you go in to have one thing done they try to sell you a lot of other services.

I called before driving several miles here with something wrong with my car. I spoke with Melinda and told her what I had and what the symptoms are and she said they could quickly check it out with no charge. When I got here I was told they have to put my truck on the rack and take it apart and charge a lot just for the diagnosis. The mechanic Jack then got argumentative with me and wanted to start a fist fight with me. WTF?!?!?!

We had a flat tire in a rental car and drove up to Big Apple to remidiate the problem. We end up replacing the tire and submitted a claim to our car insurance. The front counter and owner were fanstastic, friendly, and extremely helpful. They been in business for a long while and their attitude and midset was customer friendly. Both Ann and I love Jack and his birds. They are excellent people providing a great service.

Not cheep, but you get what you pay for. Customer service is in my opinion the best in the high desert. When you leave you feel confident in there work.Again this is my personal experience, been a customer for two years.

They give you low prices over the phone and when you get to the shop they double it. Expect that you will pay almost double what the dealer charges with no loner or anything just because the nearest dealers are in Ontrio!

Had a dead battery situation in my truck for 10 years. Kept a solar charger and disconnect switch on the battery at all times. Took my truck here for a smog test. Truck wouldnt start for them either. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it for me while in their shop. I couldnt be happier with the expertise of their mechanics. After 10 years of frustration, my truck now starts every time I get in it. No more solar charger or disconnect required. Plus, they fixed my AC which also works great now, after being down for 5 years. Yes, I recommend this shop to all my friends.

Stopped to check on the possibility of getting a flat tire fixed. Ended up getting 4 tires replaced. They had the brand of tire (Bridgestone) and gave me a fair price. Finished the job in a reasonable amount of time while I relaxed in their clean waiting area. Everyone was very pleasant and friendly. I received a followup call a few days later to make sure everything had been satisfactorily taken care of. I will definitely return if I should require any service again.

My car was stalling on hespirea road I looked to my left and seen big apple automotive I took my chance going over there it looks so neat and clean as well fancy I knew theyd charge me an arm and a leg or tell me they dont have time to help me had my 7 year old son in the car who was very hungry we just left the doctor early morning visit and must I say I was treated with royalty not only did they rushrrush in help me offered me am I sign doughnuts in drink this was a God-sent experience I definitely recommend Apple Valley a deftly recommend big apple automotive

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE EVEN IF YOU HAVE A VALID INSURANCE CLAIM. Your vehicle will end up as SALVAGE due to their price gouging of your insurance claim!I took my vehicle here due to a theft recovery. The insurance company already estimated an initial amount for the repair, labor, and parts dispersed funds roughly 2500.00. I decided to have it take it to big apple auto BIG MISTAKE! All of a sudden, they started added on charges. 1500 for a fuel pump, I told the insurance company so 2nd estimator from insurance came out and approved only 1333 and they agreed to accept that and started work. Fuel pump replaced . Then, they called the insurance company directly claiming MORE WORK was needed all of a sudden and that parts were going to be more expensive than the 1st estimate. Statefarm then sent another estimator for a 3rd estimate. Darren then proceeded to tell the estimator, who alerted my insurance company, claiming parts prices are HIGHER than list price due to their supplier and warranties and blah blah. So the estimator tells them no insurance company pays more than list price and then tries demanding 700 more in labor fees when 1900 had already been approved. Darren trying to price gouge Statefarm with higher labor and parts overpriced from list price got the car rendered A TOTAL LOSS. Everyone knows insurance companies pay list price for parts. This isnt a cash cow! If they had stayed within industry standards and not tried to price gouge Statefarm insurance company they would have made 4500+ instead of 1300 for a fuel pump with NO RETURN BUSINESS and my 76 year old mom would have a working car.

Smog check that should have taken 10 mins turned into 1 hour trip. Person kept taking in new cars instead of just finalizing my paperwork. Otherwise rest was fine.

They did a fast oil change & tire rotation even on a busy morning.

Left my truck full of oil. Door panel, sterring wheel, floor board. VERY UNPROFESIONAL. Especially for the money i paid. 1st and last time.

Totally tried to rip me off! Went to get a quote for a wheel stud replacement on a travel trailer and the guy comes out and flashes his flash light at the outside of wheel and looks at the face of the rim and asks me if I’ve ever personally replaced them. So I said no and then he starts telling me how extremely hard the job is gonna be. So when I finally felt like this guys taking too much I asked him how much he said 350$ roughly. He must think I’m stupid or I’m filthy rich. Little did he know that I had just gotten a quote for 100$ at finishline right down the street. So guess where I’m going!!! I’m a resident in the neighborhood I live a few blocks away. I own two trucks a travel trailer a car and a motorcycle and I promise you will never see my or any of my vehicles there. 👋🏻

Over kill, Rip off!!! Way way to expensive, I went inn to fill up my A/C freon and they told me I had a leak/ crack on my A/C condenser. So I asked for a quote to fix it and they told me $700 for a new condenser plus the labor (which he said would take half a day). Came out to about $1100 to $1300 total including the freon. I kindly told them that was not in my budget at the moment. The guy then charged me $90 for the freon and the consultation and then had the guys drained all the freon they had just put in my vehicle (the freon I bought of them). Said it was state law, also i was there for like 3 hours for that.Anyways 1 week later I went around the block to a Mexican shop.. $280 total!!!!!!!! $100 For a new condenser with new seals, $140 for labor, and $40 to fill up with almost 2 pounds of freon. The car was ready in 6 hours or so. Wow what a huge difference!!! Lol thank god they only rip me off for 90$.
