Our story begins at 3 am when my fiancé chased off a stranger in our yard. Little did we know after we filed the report, when my fiancé was leaving for work our Prius would erupt into a horrible rumbling sound. Turns out the man we chased out of our yard was stealing the catalytic converter off our car. Devastated because this is an extremely expensive repair ($1500-$3000), I called the closest shop to hobble our car to. Turns out, we scared the guy off just in time and the converter was still hanging on! Ryan and Andy were more than happy to help me get it in to be repaired. They immediately began to weld the converter back in place. They even went above and beyond to carefully solder and secure the cut lines to the oxygen sensor. Then, for additional good measure, they crafted and bolted on a makeshift temporary plate as a deterrent to future theft. (This was something I special requested and they were very innovative). The cost was even more reasonable than I could have ever expected. We cannot thank these guys enough for helping us resolve a very frustrating situation.

They helped me install a new interior door handle and did not try to overcharge me, insist on additional services, etc. They simply gave me an estimate, did the repair, and charged me even less than original quote! A quality auto repair shop like this one is hard to come by. I will definitely be using their services again.

I have never left a reviews for a business but this is the worst experience I have had with a mechanic and their seemingly good reviews are what lead to me to go here. SO LET ME WARN YOU ALL. I am a nice young women who rarely likes to complain so I’m sure they saw a opportunity to take advantage. First they misdiagnosed my car and said the spark plugs and ignition coil was the issue I paid 1200 and when my car was returned to me it was running the same. Shaky with the check engine light on. So I returned the car and they told me they would cover the cost of labor but it would cost 250 more for a new o2 sensor. O2 sensors are 20-100$. So they included the price of labor and lied about the cost. When I was on the phone with the manager i asked for the diagnostic paperwork when I come to get my car and he hung up in my face. I called him back to let him know how unprofessional that was and that I’d be leaving this review. Very disappointed because they were so nice originally. Never dealt with such blatant scammers. Take your business elsewhere. Im on my way to get my car scared that it won’t be safe to drive home after dealing with the hostile manager which I was respectful to the entire conversation. Ridiculous.

I dont normally write reviews, but I had an overwhelming positive experience at Master Tech Automotive that I felt I must share. I was testing out a used car I was thinking about buying so I took it this shop so I could get an inspection. I walked in without an appointment and only had to wait 5-10 minutes before being served. Then, as I spoke to the kind employee (not sure of his name), he suggested that I get an oil change and the inspection will come with it, rather than having to pay solely for an inspection. This saved me about $90 because I only had to pay for an oil change, which costed me $64. They told me it would take about 2 hours, and the finished within 1 hour and 15 minutes. Overall, I was very impressed with their service and putting the customer first.

My happy with the work they did with my clutch, didnt realize how bad my clutch was but they dialed it in and all is good, I got other issues and Im definitely gonna let them go at it and fix them. Its scary to spend alot of money like that but when you get a good result it makes it worth it. Thanks Master Tech, wish I got the name of the guy that did the work. Tell him thanks

Super glad we found this place! My daughters engine light was on and they were able to reset it and didn’t pressure us into getting anything fixed and were very helpful and insightful with what was going on with the diagnostic. Definitely will be back here for our future car needs.

I’ve gone here before with no issue, but after this last time I won’t be coming back.The dash lights in my van kept flickering while this dinging noise would go off. I brought it in for a diagnosis and they suggested we replace the alternator. Since we’d just replaced the alternator and had a lifetime warranty we asked if they could do the work with the alternator we got from the store. They agreed, no problem.We ended up paying double for the labor because they claimed the alternator we brought in didn’t work (even though the store checked the old alternator and the new one and said they were working just fine) so we had to go get a third one from the store.Car worked great for about a week and then the lights and dinging noise started happening again. I brought the van back to them to have it rechecked. They called to have me pick it up and told me it was a bad connection with the battery. When I got to the store they charged me for replacing the battery connectors without asking if they could first and then insisted they didn’t touch the battery the first time I brought it in and had no way of knowing that was an issue at that time.I wasn’t in the mood to argue as the guy was acting like he’d done me a huge favor for not charging me another diagnosis fee, so I paid and then asked my husband to follow up with it. When he called the shop they said they tightened everything up the first time and everything worked fine which is why they suggested the alternator work and that something must’ve happened in the week since we had it that made the battery terminals go bad.BS, but whatever they got paid.

My truck died on me and I had it towed here. In just a couple days they diagnosed the issue, spent half a day on the phone with my vehicle service contract obligor, and determined the issue was still covered under the manufacturers powertrain warranty.They were upfront about all costs before they did anything and kept me updated along the way with findings.Given what i know today about their ability to perform I would recommend them for similar work in the future.

This place is great and the people are really nice. They dont try to add on stuff or sell you anything. They genuinely want to just help you.The first time I went there was after i had failed my emissions test and in order to pass I would have to spend $150 on repairs. The $150 would have been all that I could afford. I told them about my problem and they said that they would just work on my car until it hit that $150 mark for me. I really appreciated that.The second time was when I got a coat zipper stuck into the belt buckle (it sounds strange but is absolutely true). They said that they could look at it but once it hits the 10 minute mark thats when they would have to start charging. It took about 15 minutes to get the zipper out and they didnt charge me anything.Im gonna go here again, only this time to get a tune up, because I know that they are nice people who wont try to push me into doing more work that what I wanted just for profit. They really are great.

Brought my truck here because the bolt for one of the ignition coils in my truck was cross threaded and I couldnt get it out. They got it out and rethreaded in less than an hour. Great customer service all throughout the process. Definitely recommend!

I’ve used Mastertech for multiple vehicles over the years and have had no real issues except for having to pay double for something they missed BUT after pulling up to the shop to pick up my car after this last oil change, I noticed a truck parked outside with a confederate flag in the license plate holder. I asked if the owner of the vehicle worked there and it was verified that Jerry was a tech there. I replied that as a business owner, I’d never let anything that offensive to be displayed outside of my business. Ryan replied that it was Jerry’s truck and that he has more important things to worry about like the homeless people outside of his business every morning. All of this being said while my black son was standing there in the lobby with me. He was clueless and insensitive to everything. Needless to say, I’ll never go back to this business and hope that others don’t give them their money either.

Their work is good but if youre a woman they tend to talk down to you. They got the job done faster than the estimated time so I didnt need to get a loaner.

Sudden car troubles. Master Tech had my car diagnosed and fixed in 24 hours. They did a great job. My car runs fantastic.

I brought my corvette in to get a clutch issue figured out. Master Tech diagnosed my issue and found the problem to be a destroyed pilot bearing. As they were fixing the issue they found the root cause of what ultimately destroyed the pilot bearing and fixed that too. They were in constant communication with me and updated me at every step. This was an expensive repair and I wasnt thrilled about spending that kind of money on my car. However, I believe Master Tech got the job done correctly.

I took my car here for the first time, and I have to say, I was very impressed and pleasantly surprised! They got me in right away, and were very friendly, courteous and professional. Their diagnosis of my vehicle was very thorough, and I got updates through every step. I will definitely be taking my car here again for repair issues!

I found out about Master Tech from my boyfriend having work done on his car and the repair being hassle-free and affordable. I took my car in a couple weeks later and they did a great job finding my cars issue and got it running like a dream! I had them do the manufacturers recommended services and told them it ran a little rough, as well. They found the issue with the catalytic converter and sent me pictures of the ineffective weld job the previous owner had done on it. I just bought the car, used, in December. I drove it home from Master Tech and it ran like a brand new car! It has pep! I really appreciated the photos and the complete summary of the diagnostic service. Also it was great being shown the bad parts once I picked it up. It helps me understand what went into the job of getting it running so well. I would recommend Master Tech to anyone needing help with their car maintenance and repairs. They did a great job.

This was hands down the best auto customer service Ive ever received. They were able to get our car in to be fixed right away, the prices were reasonable, and they even gave my husband and me a ride to and from our apartment while our car was getting fixed so we didnt have to call an Uber. Highly recommend, will definitely be coming back here for all our car needs!

Our sons car had multiple issues that were no longer covered under the manufacturer warranty. The people at Master Tech were very kind and helpful getting the car back to a safe and reliable condition. In addition, they showed us the broken parts that needed replacement and why they needed to be replaced. We are very happy they treated us and our son in a helpful and professional manner.

The guys at the Vancouver Master Tech Automotive did a fantastic job. I had a rattling sound in my suspension when going over bumps. They gave me a free 15min. inspection. The inspection revealed several things wrong with the left side of my suspension and I needed to leave the vehicle with them to repair. The manager offered to give me a ride to my house several blocks away at no charge. They sent me detailed pictures of problem issues with my suspension and even called to update me on the process. They also recommended other things that needed attention. I was able to decline without any pressure. They were able to pick me up after my vehicle was finished and now my truck drives incredibly smooth. Their work was backed by a 5 year/50,000 mile warranty and I was also given a free 1 year membership to a roadside assistance protection program. I highly recommend these guys and will without a doubt be doing business with them again in the future!

Went there to have my car diagnosed for my airbag issue and an electric issue. they kept my car over night and when i showed up to pick up my car nothing was even explained. i payed 118$ for a diagnostic, left my car over night, yet i still have no clue what’s going on with my car other then the obvious. they then quoted me over $400 to replace a part that they themselves even said weren’t sure wether or not it would help. extremely unsatisfied with there business.

Ive been on the lookout for an auto repair shop I can trust for three years now... and I may have just found it. I called around to several shops both in Vancouver and Portland to get a quote on a brake job for my car and these guys were the only ones to give me a price that was anywhere near what I knew it should cost. In fact, they were spot on the money in their quote and undercut the competition by a significant amount.When the job ended up being more involved than initially expected, they were super patient and informative when I grilled them about it. Im so used to getting push back and defensiveness from mechanics for asking the simplest of questions. MAJOR BONUS POINTS to these guys for understanding that car repairs often cause a whole lot of stress and anxiety and for trying to mitigate that vs. fanning the flames.Not only were my old parts set aside so that I could see the wear firsthand but they also included detailed pictures of what they worked on and placed them in my file. Their attention to detail and the care put into their work was impressive (and I am not easily impressed). As if all of that wasnt enough, upon returning to my car, I was gifted with a thank you note and an enclosed discount card to use on a future visit. Seriously, what mechanic does that? Who are these automotive repair unicorns?!Special shout-out to James who works out a deal like a beast and makes it nearly impossible not to earn the trust and confidence of his customers.

I was having multiple issues with my car, which gave me a lot of anxiety as I know very little about cars and James was able to put my mind at ease and explain everything they were wanting to do with my car, and more importantly, the why. Most places I’ve been to push sales and services and all I ever was talked to about were my specific issues with my car and it always was left to me to decide what to work on and focus first. I really appreciate their quick and responsive service and will definitely come back.

My truck broke down near by and was towed to this place around 5pm on a Friday. Chris stayed late to access my truck and provide professional service for options and costs. I am from out of the area and he was able to get quotes very quickly on a new engine (which I did not go through with). They let me store my vehicle their for a week while I determined my options even though I did not go with them only charged half the price. I would recommend these guys to anyone for their integrity and courtesy.

Wonderful service! Our car suddenly broke down with a major issue and we needed it fixed ASAP. Came in with an emergency. Spilling oil everywhere 😩 They were overall great and got everything done very timely.

Was way over charged was billed for 6 hours labor and it only took 2 hours they left a 25$ coupon and atleast did good work so I was going to use them for a diagnostic they said I couldn’t use the coupon they just gave me three days ago with the diagnostic. The claim it can go towards the parts and few of fixing but on the coupon it only excludes oil changes tires and batteries. False advertising and scketchy business/pricing and not guaranteeing to resolve the issue of the matter makes me want to just deal with the dealerships I bet there prices are on par or even better!

I was thoroughly impressed with Master Tech Automotive. I received a coupon in the mail for an oil change and inspection so I decided to try them. I brought my car in first thing in the morning, and they called me about an hour later to ask about fixing some stuff they found during the inspection. I told them to fix some of those things but not others and they did just that! Did not try to up sell me when I decided I didn’t want some of the repairs. The process was easy and very professional— I would highly recommend.

They were polite but did a half a** job of installing my new throttle position sensor and adjusting it. not even a day later the check engine light was back on for the same thing. $184 dollars down the drain. Edit: Was contacted by owner but nothing was done.

My car was having trouble so I took my car to the dealership. It was going to be 2000 dollars for needed to be done. So they said. I wanted to get a second opinion. I went to Master Tech Automotive. They discovered what the problem was fixed it. And went above and beyond. They left mints and a thank you note in my car. They gave me a certificate to come back. And I now feel safe if my car ever breaks down in the next 5 years. Because they cover that. They were very honest and didnt try to sell me anything extra. I would definitely go again!

Was lied to, paid for a bad diagnosis, and feel ripped off.Brought my car in to find out why it wasnt starting. Told them a different shop told me there was a problem with the wiring somewhere before the distributor. Was called after the diagnosis and was told everything up to the distributor was checked and fine, but the distributor was bad and needed replaced. For some 800bucks. I declined to have them preform the repair. I later come to find out that they never even checked the wiring. When you take your car to a mechanic for a paid diagnosis it seems they would check everything they tell you they checked. They didnt. Apparently this shop diagnosis by replacing parts and see if it fixed the problem, if it didnt try to replace a different part at the cost of the customer. Ridiculous

These guys are awesome. Very professional. Gave me a quote to fix my pickup and before I could even get home, they called me back and had an even lower quote, so I was happy. Next day it was done as promised. Highly recommended.

I Came here with the idea that my 02 sensor had gone bad. I simply wanted to know the price for an 02 sensor replacement. They said they needed to run a diagnoses in order to give me the price for an upstream 02 sensor replacement. Ummm ok. I wasn’t asking for service at this point, simply to know what they would charge for said service. So after paying $100+ In order to have them tell me the price to replace an upstream 02 sensor— they quote me $700+ to replace it. This is exactly why I wanted to know what it simply costs to replace it, because if they told me $700+ from the start I would never have got service, therefore would not have needed the diagnosis.At this point I’m blown away and decline service as I can do this myself, I simply didn’t want to do it myself. After replacing 02 sensor with a brand new OEM part my code is still firing off. Come to find out, they took out my 23rd fuse which trips off the 02 sensor code. As you all know, fuses don’t just pop out. Not only that but it happened to be the only fuse missing. I’m sure they planned to have me come back to them after my replacement attempt failed. Great way to scam a woman who has no knowledge about cars. If you’re a woman be careful coming here alone to service your car. Luckily for me I figured it out.

So kind and honest. They fit me in on a busy day to look at the safety of my breaks last min. Then they were completely honest and didnt try to sell me something I didnt need. Assured me my car was great and prob just something got in there. Car has behaved ever since. They were nice, knowledgeable, upfront on possible costs if it is and fast. I will go back when my car does need something because they earned my trust.

Another shop had told me that the cost of fixing my car would be over $10,000. I went to master tech, without an appointment they saw us immediately. I needed a new engine, torque converter, and a piece of the bottom base was missing. They looked up pricing and assisted me with questions and concerns. They fixed my car for only $5,600 and I got financing through one of their loan agencies which was super easy. I will definitely come back to master tech if I need anything for my car.

I have taken my car here ever since I got it and always fair deal good service and never had to wait too long to get my car back. Plus they call and check up on my car and remind me when its time for an oil change this place has been good to me and my car.

I take both of my vehicles here for service a 2015 Nissan and 2004 Ford for simple things like an oil change to my car just not starting for some reason and have always gotten amazing service with in the quoted price, I also love the report that gets text to my phone with the issues found and I have never had any pressure to get them taken care of like I have at other places tried, I also like the fact when I ask a question they break it down into simple terms I can understand. I will for sure continue to bring my cars here for service.

My car needed repair on a long drive home. I loved the service here, I used to be a hospitality major because I think its very important. They were very welcoming, did not make me feel like an idiot even though cars are not my forte at all. My boyfriend was impressed as well, by their actual mechanical competence which I cannot speak for. Though I would obviously prefer that my car had not malfunctioned, they did not charge an unreasonable amount of money for the repair. I really appreciated it, especially during such a stressful time.

Took our Lexus in as we had both the ABS and brake lights on as well as a horrible grinding noise and alarm. Had already taken it to a Lexus mechanic who pulled the codes and advised that he wasnt sure what they were but to go ahead and drive it until there was an actual problem! Took to MTA Auto who immediately advised that the codes and symptoms indicated that the HydroBoost was in complete failure!!!! MTA researched and found the part we needed for a great price and completed the work FAST!Brian was amazing to work with!!! He literally spent HOURS on the phone attempting to save us money as the part was 2900.00 on its own without labor costs! After calling and researching he was able to find the part for almost 900.00 dollars less than what we had anticipated it was going to cost. We walked out of there paying less for the parts and labor than what the original part was suppose to be!!! Because of the cost we had asked them to also go through the vehicle to make sure everything else was in good working order, they performed a complete safety and maintenance inspection for us!!!! They were able to complete all of this in a wicked fast manner and have our vehicle back to us quick!Will ABSOLUTELY use them again and refer friends and family to them for vehicle maintenance!!!

These guys are so honest. After their initial estimate, they found that some of the work didnt need to be done. That saved me about $500 off what I thought the job would be. I would recommend this shop to anyone needing automotive work done.

I took a 2014 Ford mustang off the dealers lot to have a pre purchase inspection. Im glad I took the vehicle here for inspection the car only had 19000 miles but needed around 3-4000 in repairs. Kevin and his team did a great job and exceeded my expectations. I live an hour away from this shop but it would be well worth the drive for servicing and repairs from an honest and reliable shop, which can be hard to find nowadays. Thanks Kevin you were a great guy to converse with and you have my business.

I went to Master Tech Automotive about two months ago to get a new sensor put into my car. Even though it was a bit expensive to get fixed, they repaired my car quickly. Kevin and Chris, the office staff, were very friendly. So, at the beginning of October I decided to take my car in for a shudder it does when I go to stop or slow down. Long story short, the mechanic and office workers racked me up a huge bill to have the water pump, all four rims, left front strut, valve cover gaskets, and serpentine belt replaced. This would have cost me $2,000. I was about to pay for everything to be repaired, but being a full time college student who works part time, I wasnt comfortable paying that much and wanted a second opinion. I decided to only get the serpentine belt replaced at Master Tech Automotive. Kevin knew my situation but decided he would not waive the $130 diagnostic fee (which they promise to do if you get a repair done at the shop).So I decided to get a second opinion from Carpenters Garage. They diagnosed the shudder issue which was fixed with a transmission service and told me to eventually replace the valve cover gaskets that are hardly leaking. This only cost me around $150. Everything that Master Tech Automotive told me to get fixed (besides the valve cover gaskets) was fine and running properly.We contacted Master Tech Automotive to have the diagnostic fee refunded to us because even if I had paid the $2,000 in repairs at their shop, the car would still have had the same shudder issue since the problem was coming from the transmission. After a heated conversation with Kevin, he said he would refund the diagnostic fee IF I would sign a waiver that stated I would not post any negative reviews on google or social media.After a few days, Chris from Master Tech Automotive contacted us saying that he and the owner were sorry for the way Kevin mishandled the issue. Chris said they would refund me the diagnostic fee and I would not have to sign any waiver.So this morning, I went into the shop to get my diagnostic fee back. Chris was really awesome about it. However, when I looked outside, the mechanic who had incorrectly diagnosed my cars issues was underneath my car looking at the tires without my permission. Then as I was walking out the door, he gave me a side comment that he almost lost his job over my complaint. I was completely shocked that he had the audacity to tell me that. Was it my fault that he diagnosed my car incorrectly and almost cost an impecunious college student her entire savings and rent/grocery money? It was never my intention for anyone to lose their jobs, but I was entitled to getting the $130 diagnostic fee back. I was so mad and upset that I left the shop crying.I would not go back to this shop solely based on the treatment from Kevin and their main mechanic. Im very happy that I took the advice to leave Master Tech Automotive and get a second opinion, otherwise I would be in debt with a car that still shudders when I stop!

I called these guys the day after Thanksgiving to get my car fixed. Not only were they the only place that actually answered the phone, they had me in within an hour. Helpful, fixed my broken car, and really friendly. Ill definitely return when the need arises.

Master tech did a very good job on getting the problem on my car fixed and were very efficient. I have no complaints at all for the work they did. Every time they had a question they didn’t hesitate to call and made sure my issue was fixed under the budget I gave them. Highly recommend them for my future car problems. (Hopefully I don’t have any)

There great. They won’t let you make dumb choices. There upfront they want to make sure it is the right repair you need . Not just want.

I have had some troubles with my car, it’s older and it seems like everything decided to go wrong at once. Master Tech has been very fair, and helpful so far, they have my car right now in fact! I am hoping this is the last time I have to see them for a while, but that being said, if needed I will definitely go back to them. Thank you!

This is my second visit to Master Tech for service and repairs. I would not go anywhere else to work on my Sebring. The front desk technician will listen to all of your requests and questions about what is needed to bring your auto to top condition. They will not give you a guess as to what is needed nor a definite price for repairs until the mechanic checks your auto, AND verifies any findings with photos!! No deception involved and work with you on the best approach to avoid over-pricing! Terrific warranty on repairs by real Master mechanics! Will recommend to ALL of my patients and friends.

Incorrect installation of e brake, told me I was missing a part, I spent hours looking for a part they described, looked at another truck like mine and realized they installed it incorrectly. They then argued with me, until I showed them their mistake. Paid for service and asked for key to be left in vehicle so I could pick it up later.NO KEY LEFT! Had to return the next day! Talked to the general service manager and asked to speak to the owners about the snarky employee.... NO CALL. AVOID THIS PLACE.

My experience here was a great one! I was able to get my car serviced within the hour, and the staff was very knowledgeable and patient with my questions. Will use again for future services!
