My sister, niece and I have been customers of this garage since it opened. I wrote the following letter to Andy Aragon after he went out of his way to help me when my car did not pass emissions testing. I had taken the car to Stuttgart without a successful result, thus the following:Andy,I did not sufficiently express my gratitude to you for helping me with my Passat wagon. We all knew that car had problems when I bought it, but Xxxxx was never able to get it right so when you were kind enough to take a look at it, and take it to emissions for me, I was really happy. When my father and brother were alive, I never had to take any vehicle to a mechanic, and my nephews were good about fixing things until they got too busy with their own lives. I am just glad I can depend on you to look after me.I hope you have managed to stay healthy and sane during this strange time...its great when I see all the cars lined up for repair at your shop. With all good wishes for your continued success,Debra
I found this shop when I was looking for an APR upgrade for my Mk7 GTI in 2017. Very pleased with the work (Stage II in less than a day), Ive been using them for all services since. The work has always been top quality and quick. The time came for my first financially substantial repair, which was diagnosed by Stuttgart Autohaus, and they called the dealership to verify my warranty was still valid. Instead of just giving me an estimate for them to do the work, they did the footwork to make sure I could get the work done at no cost to me. As the world of warranties works, the dealership refused to cover it, so I took it back to Stuttgart Autohaus. They saved me several hundred dollars from what the dealership had quoted me. You cannot go wrong with these guys.
I JUST WANNA THANK YOU ANDY AND MIKE FOR TAKING CARE OF MY VEHICLE. MY CAR HAD CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON AND THEY FIX IT THE SOME DAY AND ONE SHOT. GREAT PEOPLE AND GREAT SERVICE THANK YOU GUYS AGAIN. I highly recommended THIS SHOP.
The guys here are the n i c e s t. Theyre all so helpful and genuine. 1000/10 would recommend. 😊🥲
The staff was very nice. They had no problem explaining everything that needed to be done, but what was vital now and what wasnt. I didnt feel pressured and my car was in good honest hands.
The best VW shop in Tucson, in my opinion. Ive been a customer here since I got my Golf back in 2014, and Ive never had any reason to even come close to complaining. They work quick, competently, and are great about keeping you in the loop so you know what is going on and what your options are. I love these guys and with any luck Ill continue to be a customer for years to come.
I want to share how great of an experience I had. I brought in my 08 Volvo XC70 because it randomly wouldnt start. It gave the same symptoms my last 2 cars did when the starter went out.I went in expecting $7-800 since the OEM Volvo starter by itself retails at $500 on FCPeuro. My car was towed in around 30 minutes before closing. I let Chad know whats going on and dropped the keys off.By 0900 the next morning my issues were squared away. A cheaper part was the failing point, and thus my repair was much cheaper than I expected. Since they fixed my battery, my AC also runs colder at the same setting. My wife and I each own European cars, so I know where Ill bring her beetle next.October update: I came back to get my key fobs reprogrammed for a new starter control unit. Quick, courteous service once more.
Our family has been a customer of Andy & Chads for nearly a decade, servicing our familys multiple different Volvo cars (from high end turbocharged Polestars to run of the mill XC60s.) Our relationship with them goes back to their RevolvStore days and continues today as Stuttgart Autohaus. In a day and age where genuine customer service, honesty, transparency, accurate expectation setting seems at an all time low, Andy and Chads old school approach of doing what they say they are going to do, communicating proactively and transparently, doing excellent work and delivering value through their expertise to their customers -- is pretty rare. As a result, we appreciate them, their approach and their skillsets. Volvo owners in Tucson are incredibly fortunate to have them as a resource -- and we, along with their customers who have written the hundreds of positive reviews youll find on Google and Yelp for Stuttgart Autohaus and Revolvstor -- could not recommend Andy, Chad and team more highly.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. This shop is great for Vanagon owners, very knowledgeable, with Vanagon certified mechanics. They diagnosed a persistent rear end / brake problem that had been plaguing me for 3 years. They also fixed my aftermarket AC which had been limping along bought the vehicle in 2003 (Andy also found a large nasty pack-rat nest hiding behind my evaporator and cleared out for gratis. That was above and beyond!!!). They stand behind their work. Great communication about estimates and job completion with pictures included. Charges in line with the quality of the work. This shop is a Treasure, considering how difficult it is to find anyone willing to work on Vanagon anymore.
This is the best Audi, VW and Volvo shop in Tucson!!! Mike and.Chad Will certainly inculcate all of your needs on the spot. The owner is a very honorable man and there is no finer establishment anywhere!!!!! Highly recommend!!!! James
Just traveling through for a few days and our rialta was acting funny--- stopped in to see if they could fit us in... They did and had the repairs done in athe same day!!! They were extremely kind and SO helpful!!! Definitely would be our go to if we lived in the area!
Recently took my 2012 VW Jetta GLI into here for a crank but no start problem. After having plenty of tiring and frustrating experiences with the dealer, I was turned onto Stuttgart. This shop absolutely has to be one of the best repair shops you will find for your car, hands down. The staff was extremely helpful and upfront about everything going on. They never hid any prices and I never felt like I was being nickeled and dimed. After they fixed my car to like new condition, I can honestly say that I will be using Stuttgart for all maintenance involving my VW. If they did work on Chevys id bring my truck to this shop too. Dont hesitate to bring your vehicle here. You will go away pleased with the experience and knowing your vehicle has been fixed right the first time.
Very friendly and anwsered any and all questions i had. Very professional as well. I would recommend anyone to come here.
Everyone here is very friendly and knowledgeable. I won’t be going anywhere else!
When the starter of our VW EV Camper said nothing, I found the map of EV service stations in the USA on the FB page for EV owners. Unbelievable in Tucson, Stuttgart Autohaus!Within four days the new part from Germany arrived in Tucson and the next day it was completely installed. It was a sensation how clean and fast the guys worked. Thanks to Alan and Tyler for the excellent service and the unnamed guy who did a great job!
I’ve been coming here for years, ever since they started at Revolve. (Volvo.) The service is top notch, the value is excellent and they communicate thoroughly and often. I leave every time with confidence in the work and my vehicle.
Mike at Stuttgart was excellent in getting my 1990 Vanagon same day service while we were traveling through Tucson. Feel confident taking your beloved Westy for anything. Thanks for the great work!!
Best repair shop in Tucson.
When someone recommended an incredibly expensive repair, I went here for a second opinion. Im really glad I did. Ive been going here for three years now. Theyve saved me a lot of money, helped my 2002 Jetta TDI remain in perfect working condition. Everyone is friendly and they have caught issues before they could have ruined my car. A mechanic you trust is worth more than gold nowadays.
Took my audi a4 there on Wednesday after it died. They gave me an estimate around 1600$ for a fuel pump replacement. Had a different mechanic look at it and was told the fuel pump was fine, the car was simply out of gas due to a busted fuel gauge sensor. Add fuel and car ran fine. Would reconsider coming here. I believe Mike was the guy at stuttgart who supposedly worked on my car. Also looked like they let a dog roll around my back seat.
Most recently I got trapped in my dash display and they sorted me out with a kind word and no charge. Thank you John!
Love taking my a5 here, they do good work and always quick!
Love this place and Mike very helpful oleny place ill take my audi to get worked on know!
I had an excellent visit at Stutgart recently. I had some race modifications done to my Audi in preparation for Friday night drag racing at wild horse pass. (A $5 bet with a high school buddy). Mike wasthe sale associate and very helpful in walking me through the different APR modifications that were available for my Audi. He kept good communication through the whole process which is something that is becoming very rare these days. Andy the owner was also very Welcoming by offering me a water while I waited for my car and chatting with me for a few minutes letting me know about the pride he takes in training his men with regards to discipline and organization (tools specifically) He shared the training that he received from the German technicians and expressed that he was on occasion stern with his mechanics with the hopes to make them more proficient when they are on their own. The modifications were done with good workmanship (exhaust welding and a high pressure fuel pump installation followed by a software tweakThat unleashed the Lyons under my hood). So....The work was great,, the price was excellent,, and everyone including the dogs were nice. Five stars,,Thank you.
Honest, trustworthy and great communication.
I went to get my 2004 volvo s40 diagnosed as it had stopped working. I spoke with Chad who was extremely helpful thoughout the process and very generous as well. He told me straight out after diagnosing the car for a day that it was best to trash it as it had too many things wrong with it and didnt charge me any fees because hed do the same for a brother. It hurt that I bought a lemon car but it was nice that they didnt kick me while I was down and made me feel welcome and understood. Hands down would go back again if I ever needed help with European cars.
Have known the owner for many many years and hes still as caring and hardworking as ever. Has amazing workers that know what they are doing. I always come to them whenever i have questions about my car. And they are always there with answers
No more than a REGULAR SHOP, only put hands on newer cars, tipical computer autozone shop.
Really thorough, good work, professionals.
Ive been coming to Stuttgart for service/maintenance for years- they are amazing! Tyler and the staff are so positive, friendly and generous- I highly recommend!
This shop is absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond and I can’t even find words to explain how fantastic they are. Highly recommend. Driving an old westfalia I’m always nervous bringing her to shops but they knew what they were doing and I really appreciate the peace of mind.
They were professional and did the work on my vw for a good price very satisfied with their work
Always a pleasure to have my car serviced at Stuttgart. When a part didnt come in on time, they got me a rental car for a day. I totally trust this business. Tyler is always forthcoming and honest in my opinion.
Absolutely the best mechanic shop to go to. The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable and get vehicles repaired in a timely manner. From oil changes to repairs my fiancee and I have had great experiences coming here with our 1999, 2007, and 2019 VW golfs. Tyler has amazing costumer service and has gone above and beyond! As long as we own VW we will come here.
I’ve been coming here for a few years now. I’ve had repairs and maintenance work done. I cannot say enough good things about my experiences with Stuttgart. Their prices are very fair, the staff is attentive and always answer all of my questions. I don’t hesitate to recommend Stuttgart to all of my friends and coworkers. If you’re looking for a reliable Audi and VW shop (I have both) you can’t go wrong bringing them here.
The absolute best and only place you should take your VW or Audi!! I would not dream of taking my car anywhere else. Unbelievable customer service! Gary and Tyler are always so helpful and honest. My car troubles are always as simple as, handing over my keys. Stuttgart Autohaus always goes above and beyond when it comes to taking care of my car, and getting me back on the road.
Integrity and professionalism. Gary, Tyler and the crew there are phenomenal. We have had very bad experiences with other shops here in Tucson and I was not sure we could find a reliable one. Stuttgart Autohaus is the best shop with the best people here or anywhere we have lived. They do great work in a timely manner and approach it with a can do attitude. Thanks for everything! We’ll miss you Gary!
I recently bought a Rialta knowing it needed a new engine. Through a series of serendipitous events it ended up with Andy and his very professional, detail oriented, caring, and extremely knowledgeable staff. I’ll always be grateful to them and feel confident wherever I travel they will be there for me. Thanks Andy, Raul, and Daniel for giving me peace and confidence to hit the road alone!
Great place. Honest, friendly folks. Fair prices!
Clean, competent, reliable services
Best car shop Ive been to yet. Excellent customer service - very honest and knowledgeable. They identified all the problems with a thorough explanation, fixed the issues, and even provided me with extra oil for my trip. They also offered translational services should I get questionable advice from another car shop.
Didnt attempt to-do work that wasnt necessary
Its hard to find honest mechanics but I am glad people with true integrity like Gary (the owner) still exist. I was originally told at Sears my car needed a new axle so I took in for a second opinion and Gary assured me I only need a boot replacement instead. He saved me over $800+ dollars .
I have to say I am very impressed with Stuttgart Autohaus. Gary has sold the business to Andy without skipping a beat and the same great service, honesty, integrity, and professionalism prevails. Although all the antique display items are gone, the staff still remains and the prices and quality continue to be top notch.Dealing with Tyler and Andy is like having family that you never knew you had. They listen to your concerns and always come up with the best solutions possible within your budget (if your budget allows) and wont cut corners. They keep you informed every step of the way and are a pleasure to talk to in person and on the phone. My TT came out of the shop 100% than it went in and the price was extremely fair for all the work that was done. These folks have earned my business for life!
We had a fuel issue on our 2014 Passat and after having several people including the VW dealership in Tucson looked at it we were told they did not know what the issue was. Stuttgart got the problem fixed and reasonably priced in the first 24 hours they had the vehicle...2 weeks later and no issues. They offered a warranty on their service and called to follow-up. You can go wrong with them guys!!! 👍👍
I highly recommend Stuttgart. All the folks are easy to talk to, prices are significantly lower than dealership and they actually care about your car.Seriously, everything is great. The customer service, the workmanship, the speed at which they get things done. Even spending a few hours in the waiting room would be pretty neat, theyve got a lot of cool VW memorabilia to look at.
Gary and Raul run a superior auto shop. Im SO grateful a fellow S4 Audi owner recommended I try Stuttgart Autohaus. My vehicle is 20+ years old and they have expertly addressed all the problems my vintage (old) car has thrown their way. No other shop in town has come close and Stuttgarts prices have been much better. Also, great communication. Gary keeps me up-to-speed every step. Bottom line: Gary and Raul make sure things are done right, treat you fairly and definitely go above and beyond. Its refreshing to find an outstanding, honest auto shop I trust!
Excellent shop! They diagnosed and replaced the alternator in my 1990 vanagon all in the same day while traveling through Tucson. For the Hard-core VW owner, Check out Bob’s VW down the street.
Best mechanic business I have ever been to. Clean, nice, professional, and they will find potential problems even if the issue wont occur for a year or two. Thank you!
One of the best places to go for VW/Audi service in my opinion in town. They are always fast and get the job done.
It’s been a long time since I’ve found a garage like this. Very trustworthy, knowledgeable, and fair on pricing. Would highly recommend. I drive my s5 all the way from El Paso, TX (5hrs) whenever I need something done and will continue to do so until I can convince stuggart to open another location here.
Great work. Honest prices for service. Free rides home.
We are forever grateful for the kind and knowledgeable folks here! We had quite the issue with our vanagon as we were passing through, and they very thoroughly inspected our engine, spoke with our mechanic from back home to be as accurate as possible. After hearing what all was wrong, we had them put a new engine in it and though it should have taken over a week, they had two teams working on it to get us on our way within days!! She runs better than ever! Andy was such a cool person great to talk to and gave us rides to and from our air bnb. Definitely recommend these folks!
I cant thank Gary (the owner) enough. We bought a 2009 Audi A4 and had it for a year, then the engine service sign came up on the vehicle, started making noises, and the exhaust started spewing white smoke out of it. It only had 65K miles on it. Anything engine related we usually dont take a risk and take it to the dealer. We towed the Audi to the Audi dealership in Tucson, and they found that one of the engine cylinders is not working correctly. They said the only fix was to get a completely new engine which would cost $13,000. This is nearly the value of the car so basically we were screwed. Luckily my dad called up a few places and got ridiculous quotes for installing a new engine. One of calls was to Stuttgart Autohaus. Gary said he really doubted the engine was the issue for such a new vehicle and basically offered to check out the vehicle and fix the problem, if not worst case scenario we’d have to pay one hour’s worth of work for the diagnostic. This seemed fair and worth the risk, so we towed the vehicle to Stuttgart Autohaus. Gary and his team came back after inspecting the vehicle and said the real issue was an injector that was broken in the engine. Audi has extended warranty on injectors because it was a common issue for my model. Gary personally talked to the Audi dealership and vouched for our vehicle. The Audi dealership said they already inspected the vehicle and it needed a new engine, but Gary insisted they needed to fix this because the injector was the real problem. Audi gave in and we got the vehicle towed to Audi dealership. Audi replaced the injectors and spark plugs, cat sensors that failed, oil change, and now the vehicle works good as new! I can honestly say not many car shops would go to this extent to fix a vehicle as Gary has gone. Also shows Gary and his team’s expertise in Audis, they really know their cars. I highly recommend them, and will service my vehicle only with them from now on. Very honest and trustworthy! Thank you so so much Gary and Team!
I took my car in to get a secondary air leak looked at, as my car wouldnt pass emissions with the check engine light on. I talked to Gary a few times on the phone about my issues before, and he gave me a loose quote on the phone (assuming it was such and such thing.) When I was at BAP last, I asked them how much the part was and if they thought the price Stuttgart was quoting was accurate, and the guy told me I would charge more than that to do it for my mother. I called Gary this morning and he said bring her on in, they have the part and no wait. I explained that I had my two year old son with me and didnt really feel like sitting around for two hours while my car got fixed etc. He said We will just drop you off at home, so he can take a nap. We close at noon so I can just drop your car off when its done.CAN YOU SAY WOW?!?!The FIRST time I have ever been to this shop they offer to take me home and deliver my car to me, so that my day is more convenient. Its not like the thing I had done to my car was expensive or anything either and they were willing to go the extra mile because I was spending a lot.Monty (the service writer) was super patient with me and explained all of the other things I asked about fixing. What would happen if I didnt fix them, how long I should go before I fix them, etc. EXACTLY how much I am looking at paying.Seriously I am just blown away by the customer service Gary and Monty provided. I have never been treated so fairly and felt like my business mattered so much ever. I recommend anyone take their VW to these guys. They wont dick you around and really go above and beyond my expectations. Also their waiting room is clean and comfortable, not afraid to sit down in there at all.
Super friendly & great service. Will definitely go to them again in the future
Had them install some KW adjustable lowering springs. They did a great job.
Recently brought a highly modified A-4 (APR Stage 2) to Tucson and after the cross-country trip needed some service. These folks do what they say they will do, they do it when they say and for the price quoted.Quality service, nice folks, and fair pricing. Highly recommended
The best shop I have ever been to. The service that Tyler and Andy provide is incredible. Tyler would always give me updates about what was going on with my car throughout the day. Their work is backed by TECHNET nationwide warrenty. I had an AC compressor that went out again while in North Carolina and Tyler walked me through how to get in contact with TECHNET and what to do. He was also willing to talk to the mechanics in North Carolina to try and help them diagnose the issue. The total cost for the new compressor is covered and I couldnt be happier. I hope I can find a place like this in North Carolina.
Aaron and his staff are thorough and fair. Highly recommended this place for all of your VW needs. He actually took the time to answer my questions. The only thing that kept them from getting five stars is the they take a long time getting back to you via email and phone.
Aaron at Stuttgart was awesome! The customer service is outstanding. Not to mention the most important part of the experience, Stuttgart has superior levels of expertise. After experiencing other auto shops making costly mistakes & headaches Stuttgart seamlessly fixed our VW in less time and less money. In conclusion Im the picky customer with high expectations, Stuttgart was well above satisfactory. Highly recommended!Cristina R.
This shop is phenomenal. The work is done amazingly fast and the price they say is the price it is. It is truly an awesome shop and the service is exceptional.
I have been a client on and off for many years and I keep coming back because they are very knowledgable, very well informed (better than the dealer), very thoughtful in their approach to repairing your car and more than fair in what they charge. If you have a VW or Audi you wont find a better place in Tucson to have it worked on. Thank you Gary and all of your staff. YOU ROCK!!!!!
Returned from the Northwest and stopped by for service on my 2000 VW Eurovan...Gary, Raul and Tyler were all about helping me to continue my travels with motoring confidence in my vehicle. All of my concerns were taking care of.Their auto repair knowledge and professionalism along with sincere friendliness makes Stuttgart Autohaus a #1 shop in the repair business.
This is now also the home of Revolv Store. If you have a Volvo, this is where you should be having its work done. Chad and his crew have been working on our Volvos since we moved here in 2017, including correctly diagnosing an issue with our XC70 that ended up being an angle gear instead of the transmission (we were quoted $16,000 including the transmission at a Phoenix Volvo dealership); these guys repaired what was actually wrong for under 1/10 of that total and the car runs great more than 2 years later.
Great alternative to the VW dealers in Tucson. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Also check out their waiting room, which is full of memorabilia.
Very professional business edicate. And beautiful people😀
AAA service even before i spent a dollar. This is how all customer service be done.5☆ work on my vehicle.Every time i have spent minimal time waiting on vw service, compared to dealers.
The only place in town where I feel safe bringing my old TDI. The folks at Struttgart always go the extra mile, providing exceptional service both in the shop and behind the counter. This place is the only shop in Tucson on TDIClubs trusted mechanic list for a reason.
Why anyone would take their Audi/Volkswagen anywhere but here is beyond me.Been around Audi-VW for years. These guys are first class; yet down to earth.
Intelligent, knowledgeable mechanics that dont up-sell or perform unnecessary repairs
We love these guys!! Heidi, our little red Jetta GLI, was returned to us better than she was when we brought her in. Gary and the whole crew made every effort to make sure the job is done to perfection. She had a blown tire and a couple of deployed airbags that did quite the number on the interior so it required quite a lot of detail work and some serious searching for just the right parts. They are always kind and professional and we trust them to do just whats needed and to do it impeccably. We recommend them to anyone that loves their car as much as we do.
Took in my 2012 Jetta sport wagon twice and couldnt be happier with the service, professionalism, and price. Ive never owned a VW before this one and thought Id be in for quite a hefty bill for a specialty mechanic shop but I was pleasantly surprised at the affordability. They even got me done on the same day in both instances! Thanks again guys
Best Audi / VW shop in Tucson, arguably the best in the West. Some vandal had set fire to the cabin of my beautiful Jetta and my insurance company totaled it. It only had 8500 original miles. The miracle workers at Stuttgart brought her back from the dead. Very pleased with my experience., Defiantly recommend.
Stuttgart Autohaus is the only shop Ive ever used that makes me feel Im treated and charged fairly and honestly every time. The entire team is exceptional and Ill never take my vehicles to anyone else if I can help it.
Traveling from our of town - this place is fantastic, honest, professional. We have a VW 88 Westfalia and we couldnt be more pleased. Thank you03/13/2019 - update:Unfortunately we had another engine issue unrelated to our first visit with the crew at Stuttgart - and they saved us again! The crew, Tyler, Andy, Raoul, Mike ALL were great - knowing we were traveling, offering to give us a ride while we waited and making a really bad situation ultimately good.My husband spent time with them discussing the repair options and asking lots of questions - and these guys were all willing to take the time to answer. We appreciated their expertise, professionalism and kindness. We would HIGHLY recommend this business. Thanks again.01-2020 ONCE AGAIN - Andy, Mike, Raoul and Tyler @ Stuttgart Autohaus saved our bacon! They are THE best.....we travel from the Great Upnorth and we are always grateful for this place.
Got my vw passat towed here on a Friday right when they were about to close. (They close at noon on Friday and they’re close Saturday and Sunday) First thing in the morning of The following Monday I receive a call from Tyler(super nice guy) saying they took a look at my car, told me what the issue was, and gave me a fair reasonable price. Also, he gave me a list of things to fix in the future but that in no way needed to be done now. I received a call at 3pm that day saying my car was ready. I thought they were very honest and straightforward, telling me in detail what needed to be done now to get my car up and running and telling me about things to watch for in the future without trying upsell in any way. Thisplace has a local family business feeling to it and and good energy. I’m definitely coming back here.
Great and friendly service. I will be returning for regular maintenance.
The best! Saved me $1200 over the dealership quote. Genuine people. Moving all my scheduled MX to them from this point forward.
Trustworthy people.
I can trust the guys at Stuttgart to always take care of my VW
Just back from Stuttgart Autohaus in Tucson...my 2000 Eurovan drives and feels like new...experienced intermittent slapping noises...it took a couple of times but Gary said he would ensure the issue will be resolved to my satisfaction (which I learned to His satisfaction too) and it was...a host of fine employees...every other customer I have met there shares the same feeling of confidence and trust in Gary and his competent employees...It is a pleasure to do business with an organization that is committed to excellent service with a touch of friendship...
I am not sure why they only get 4.9 stars. While a lot of people feel the same about mechanics and repair shops as they do used car dealerships (and quite often rightfully so), these guys are everything good about the car repair business. I have used them for years and went back recently with the purchase of a used VW. They not only took care of what needed to be taken care of, and did so at a fair price, but also told me what could wait and what was not necessary right now. Gary and Raul are as good as it gets and why you would go back to the dealership without it being a warranty repair is beyond me. They also have fresh popped popcorn in the waiting room and a pretty cool little museum in the waiting room. You will not be disappointed by bringing your VW or Audi to these guys.
During a recent road trip from Washington, I found myself in a bit of a fix: Passat axle assembly went out on Congress Street a day before my drive back to WA. After consulting with AAA and towers, I chose Stuttgart Autohaus. I couldn’t be more pleased. Gary understood the situation. His staff handled all the repairs in one day—for a very reasonable sum—and gave the car a thorough safety check; his mechanics were honest and thorough. At no point did Gary ever try to “sell” me anything. He just did what he could to make sure I could return safely and with piece of mind. Road trip catastrophe averted, I’m so lucky to have needed a car repair within couple of miles of Stuttgart Autohaus.Additionally, the waiting area of Stuttgart Autohaus is a veritable museum for fans of VW’s and antique toys. It’s worth a look just for the Mom & Pop soda bottle collection.
The best and only place for water cooled VW repairs.
Best care for my Jetta
This auto shop is stellar! We have recently tried 3 other shops and got mediocre service at best- came here and first off love the atmosphere! The owner, Gary talked to us and was clearly very knowledgable and put us at ease about the information we had received from another mechanic- I knew our vw was in good hands. He called later and gave us a list of things that needed to be done and was very honest about the urgency or lack there of of all the repairs. He was able to answer all of my husbands questions with ease. The main repair we needed was emissions related and Gary offered to have one of his guys get the emissions done for us free of charge so we had no doubts the vehicle would pass! This is how a company creates loyal customers and I will be glad to do business here again! 5 stars!
Dropped in to Stuttgart Autohaus 10 minutes before closing with a 97 eurovan that was starting rough. Gary took the time to come out and look at the van and chat even though it was closing time. Asked me to bring it back the next morning. The mechanics checked it out and found the problem. Gary took the time to explain the work in detail (I am not a mechanic). Had another problem the following week (completely different and unrelated) - called Gary for advice (we were in San Diego at this point). Gary gave me some directions on finding someone to check it out and following his advice found another great shop (that will be the subject of another review!!). I would heartily recommend Garys shop to anyone in the Tuscon area with VW issues - he is the best!!
These guys constantly outdue themselves. They always get parts quickly or have them in stock already. they are open, honest, and trustworthy. They are quick but very thourough and have put in lots of major work with my 01 jetta. They are truly the best in town!
We recommended this company to family and after their review Im disappointed that I did. Hopefully this doesnt happen often.
The best Vw mechanic. Honest and does a great job.
They do a good job, but their prices tend to be higher than the competition.
I called on a Tuesday to get my 08 VW Jetta in to replace our vacuum pump. They were able to get me in the next morning (8am) and were done with the repairs by noon. Their price was significantly less than what the VW dealership had quoted me. The customer service was beyond satisfactory. (And giving the cat a few belly rubs was a plus too!) So glad we found this place! We will definitely be using them in the future!
Great service and attention to detail!!!
My VW van broke down in Arizona I was stuck and didnt know what to do . I ended up going online and finding a mobile mechanic and we soon found out that my motor was gone, calling around I found Stuttgart it turns out that Gary the shop owner is a Master Mechanic and he also had a VW motor for my van my mechanic knew little about VWs, Gary was able to give us instructions over the phone that helped us install the motor successfully and I have now driven it over 1,500 miles thanks Gary and all the Stuttgart people, I believe youll be in great hands if you get your work done there. I hear they do a great job on subaru to VW conversions as well!
I needed to have work on 2 VWs my partner and I have. We first spoke to the dealer about the service needed, and the estimates were a bit ridiculous. I decided to call other shops for estimates, some would either not return my call or they did not know how to reset the electronic sensors that prompt you when the car needs service. I found Stuttgart online and read some reviews and decided to give them a call. Not only did they schedule me at my convenience, they remembered me by name when I came in, treated me with respect and did exactly what I asked for. Unlike most other mechanics, they didnt try to convince me of any additional work that did not need be done. Since I was taking 2 cars for service, they even changed a light bulb that was burned out for free. I was very impressed with the quality of service I received as well as the quality of work. I would definitely recommend Stuttgart to anyone, especially fellow VW owners.
Saved me $750 compared to BrakeMax, and give me better parts to boot. Also they didnt invent parts and problems like BrakeMax did.
Gary and Raul really know the older VW Westfalia campers and run a great shop! We often schedule work for our beloved 84 Westy during times when well be driving down to Tucson from our home in Flagstaff. The folks at Stuttgart Autohaus are always very helpful, give us the straight story, and go out of their way to save us money if they can do so without compromising the quality of the work.Yaaay Stuttgart!
I was quoted over $800 from the dealer to take my Jetta in for her 40k mile service, Stuttgart completed the same service list for hundreds (yes hundredS) less. Granted you dont get the courtesy car wash as you do at the dealership, but the staff is extraordinarily friendly and personable and the shop itself remarkably clean while showcasing their model car collection and VW memorabilia. Later that afternoon I did take her to get detailed and waxed and still have over $150 in my pocket. Shes happy, Im very happy and I will definitely be taking her back to Stuttgart.
This place is the best!! Brought my 99 jetta back to life after sitting for three years!!
