Dealer said I needed an alignment. Since they’re pricey, I went to Griffith. (Recommended to me by Discount Tire) Griffith said everything was fine and that I didn’t need an alignment. He showed me the diagnostic printout (dealer didn’t) and didn’t charge me for the diagnosis. His honesty was refreshing. I’ll definitely go back.

Been doing business with Griffith Automotive and Mark the owner for a couple years now and they always seem to get the job done right no matter the issue. This time around I went in for a transmission rebuild on my 1977 Chevy nova there were some minor setbacks after receiving the car but they took the car back and made everything right. I came into Griffith Automotive for an alignment on my F350 because my normal mechanic here didnt have the equipment to get the alignment done on my truck. The truck came back with zero issues on the alignment and they told me it was no charge. Being my first time here and the fact that Im full-time traveler and not from here he could of easily taking advantage of me. You can tell their honesty and their integrity means more to them than the almighty dollar.Honest mechanics are more common than most people realize but the honest ones dont get as much attention as they should.

Griffith found a stripped oil drain plug during a routine oil change which was caused by another shop. Never mind that it’s a 20 year old Ford truck. They got the part and had me on the way in an hour. Good work, fair price.

We were in Tucson from northern Michigan for the gem show. On the trip into Tucson our Equinox started making some noise in the front end. Once in town we called the Costco tire center to see if it was something that they could look at, unfortunately this was outside their scope of work but the gentleman I spoke with said that he had his own work done at Griffith Automotive. I called them and they were able to fit us in at 8 am the following morning. Not only did they do a full mechanical check, and conclude things were fine, but they topped off our fluids as well. Then they would not take any form of payment. Great guys, did a thorough job, and got us back on the road with reassurance that our vehicle was fine. Would highly recommend contacting them for your automotive needs.

I was referred to Griffith Automotive Im not gonna lie for a long time Ive been skeptical of going to Automotive Shops and even more Dealerships. Mark definitely took care of my repair in a timely manner for a good price to top it off. The one thing that did seem off, which I will say its not a bad thing. The mechanics were almost like you didnt know they were there if it wasnt for hearin the air tools. Lol most shops you hear them talking to walking around. Very impressed with the level of service provided by Mark (the owner) and his team. My boyfriends 1977 Chevy Nova needed a lot of love after an unfortunate accident. Not only was it done in a quick and timely manner, but the overall result was IMPRESSIVE! We kept our expectations modest due to the age of the car and severity of the damage, but we both fell in love with it all over again once we saw the completed job!

The work was excellent and fast. Like how professional the staff was. The lobby was clean and loved the 50s car shop mural on the wall. Pretty good prices for the work they offer.

Coolant leak in my BMW. They did a full pressure test to make sure everything was good. Radiator cap was the only thing bad. Very happy to have issue resolved for just the price of a cap. They took card of me without charging for labor. Will be back.

Last year another business recommended that I go to Griffith Automotive for an alignment. They aligned my car & it was excellently done. Last week, I had a quick oil change at a place near my apt. They had my oil change records, did a quick inspection & gave me a list of repairs. Because I was so positively impressed with Griffith Auto, I told them what the repair list said. They told me to bring my car in & they would give me a free inspection to make sure that my car needed that particular work & parts. They agreed that the timing belt needed replacing bc it was very old. My car had also been making a squeaking sound (maybe belts) & something felt loose under the hood. When Griffith Auto changed the timing belt, they noticed that the motor had old bolts thereby making the motor loose. Other parts & the belts needed tightened. I wouldve lost my engine & car. Griffith Automotive not only did an excellent job on replacing my cars timing belt, they also tightened the loose parts in my car at no additional charge. They were less expensive than the other quote and they told me I didnt need a couple of parts the oil change business had said I should get. Griffith Auto inspected & gave me a list of the work that would need to be done in the future (I have an older car), & let me know the order of importance of the maintenance I needed. I can definitely say that I will be having them service my car. They won me as a customer with their friendly & knowledgeable staff. Theyre honest & fair. They are very experienced & professional. They care about their customers. They guarantee their work & gave a lifetime warranty on the parts. I highly recommend Griffith Automotive Repair Service. Theyre worth more than 5 stars!!!

Just got my car fixed. My electronic throttle went out and I couldnt drive it safely. It was quick and they made sure to keep me in the loop as they went through it. It was all taken care of in one day. The rates were great and I couldnt be more impressed with the care they showed. I will definitely be back.

My experience with Griffith Automotive begins when I brought my Truck in for a diagnosis on my check engine light in October 2018. Mark had told me I had stuck piston rings in one cylinder and needed either a new, rebuilt, or used engine. I chose the used route.. Mark said he could get me an engine from a yard in Phoenix from a newer year truck than mine with only 52,000 miles and it came with a 1 year warranty on the engine. For the price I told Mark to go ahead and buy it and Install it. I get my truck back in November and all seems well until May 2019, I get another check engine light and take my truck into Griffith for a diagnosis. Cylinder 3 misfire.. turns out a lifter roller got stuck and wiped out the lobe on my camshaft. This is where my experience turns bad. In June 2019 Mark tells me that I would be getting All new lifters a new camshaft new valves, and my head’s were being sent to a shop to be machined to spec. (Little does Mark know I felt something fishy was going on and i started to record my conversations with him and anyone I spoke to at Griffith Automotive, this conversation about the repairs he’s doing to my truck being one of them.) After about almost 2 months I finally get my truck back from Griffith Automotive and think everything is golden because I was told I would be getting all new lifters, valves, gaskets, seals and camshaft, so I believed this. But in December 2019 I get another check engine light, so I take my truck back in to Griffith Automotive. After tearing apart the engine again, they found another stuck lifter roller on cylinder 8 and again it wiped out the lobe of my camshaft. Griffith Automotive admits to only repairing and fixing the stuck lifter roller in the June 2019 repair and not replacing all the lifters Mark had said he would be, not only this but more repairs and parts he told me on a recorded conversation in June 2019 were never replaced or fixed. Griffith Automotive and Mark said they would HAVE TO CHARGE me to fix and repair what I have them on record saying they were going to repair/replace back in June. A few days after Griffith Automotive admitted they did not do all the repairs they told me, I went in to talk to Mark. I played Mark the recording of him telling me what all he said he was going to fix and repair and replace, He then went back inside his shop after I played it for him and he sent one of his employees out with a business card of his lawyer. He couldn’t even come out and hand me the card himself.. I then filed a complaint (CIC 20-000177) with the Arizona Attorney Generals office but Griffith Automotive has stopped responding to correspondence addressed to them (Which they have the right to do so), but Based off my experiences with Mark Griffith and Griffith Automotive I have to give as low as stars as possible to this business, owner and management.

In todays world its so hard to find an automotive place you can trust. This is my third time here and not only does Mark know his customers, but also worked with my schedule to accommodate me. Their is a genuine family owned feeling with Griffith Automotive and it feels safe to have a place I can trust. There is also an awesome and comfortable waiting room!! The employee at Griffith Automotive is very rude and disrespectful to clients. The customer service is awful along with really bad attitudes. Out of all the employees, David is the only person who treats people well and make sure you know whats going on SPECIFICALLY(what a shame). I perfer another automotive that has professional customer service that will listen to what youre saying, has positive attitude, thoughtful of your time, and acknowledge that youre there when you step in.

I have a 2019 370Z that I lowered. The car looked great after I lowered it but being that I am not a professional mechanic and don’t have the equipment to do the alignment my alignment was horrible. I could of made a lot of adjustments myself to make it better but I was frustrated and out of time since this is the vehicle I use to get to work. The fact that I work on my cars gives me at the very least the knowledge to know when an automotive shop is being dishonest.I took it to another shop and the lies came rolling in. I then took it to firestone and they wouldn’t touch it because of the aftermarket parts that I put on the vehicle. I talked to Tony on the phone and he told me what the car needed in order to fix the alignment. I knew he was being honest because I knew what it was going to take to do the repairs I just didn’t want to do them and didn’t have the proper equipment. I also voiced some concerns that I had and asked him if he could check my work. They tightened one of the components to spec that I failed to tighten all of the way and adjusted the dust shield on my rotor so it would stop making the grinding noise.They told me that in order to have the suspension running properly they would have to adjust the camber arms and ride height. They gave me an honest quote and the amount of work they said they had to do matched the time (money) they said it would require them to get the suspension dialed in. I was also able to talk to the technicians and they were nice guys and willing to talk to me about my suspension and heard me out when I told them what I wanted. You can tell when people HATE their jobs. These guys must get treated well at Griffith automotive and it shows they seem to be in a good mood and very helpful. I’m sure the owner knows this but Tony and the technicians are worth keeping around. These guys will make your business stay around for the long haul. Being that I’m a car guy I have dealt with many dishonest shops and mechanics. Tony’s also carries himself like he loves his job the guy has great communication skills and is definitely a people person.So if you want an honest shop with great honest employees this is the shop to go to for quality work. In brought my vehicle in for a leak in my AC system. They sealed and recharged it. It would for two months and did not work after that. I took it back and they told me the compressor had disintigrated and want a $1000 to replace it. It sounded fishy to me since it was not making any noise. I went to AutoZone and bought a can of freon. It charged up and worked fine. It will leak out again so I used the type with the dye in it so someone who has morals can find the leak and fix it properly. I do not recommend going here since they lied to me and tried to rip me off. If I was someone with no me hanical experience I probably would have believed them. Stay away from Griffith Automotive!!!

I took my pickup in for new shocks and spark plugs. I bought my pickup used, they had preordered shocks so they would be there for my appointment. When I brought it in, they discovered it had a lift and the original shocks they ordered would not fit, they ordered the right ones after that and got them installed. The NEW spark plus they bought from the supplier had one with a cracked housing right out of the box and of course they would not put that one on. They reordered and got a replacement so they could replace the plugs. Then one spark plug wire was bad, none of the local Ford dealers had the part so they drove to Oracle to get the part. All of their looking for and obtaining parts took a while and even though the whole ordeal took several days, they informed me of new issues and fixed everything. On top this, Mark said to come back when I was in the area, he had the parts already, and he would put on a new windshield washer hose and sprayer piece on the hood that had gotten broken in a hail storm. Mark and crew were honest, and went above and beyond customer service.Thanks to Mark and all the crew at Griffith Auto. You guys are awesome Helen

Ive had several routine maintenance jobs done here (oil changes and alignment), airbags installed, and suspension repairs, and always felt like the work was done correctly, and the owner Mark was very honest in what work I needed done. I live on the opposite side of town from the shop, but feel that it is worth the drive for honest work at a reasonable price.

Went in for an oil change. The personnel w as courteous and service was faster than expected. I would recommend this place to ANYONE!

Please see update below.......After having taken a 03 Honda civic to brake masters and being quoted one price on the phone..and again when dropping car off, only to have it double once on the rack, and then calling a shop and being quoted almost triple. I happened to call discount in spectrum, and luckily spoke to Jordan, who referred me to Mark. Mark was very straightforward on the phone with 2 possible pricing scenarios, invited me to bring the car down. Not only were they able to get me the lower price- by not tearing out and destroying the bearing...turns out Mark is SUPER knowledgeable about the 280ZX which he will be getting that business as well.Let me just say, if you are reading reviews, all the hype around this LOCAL business is well founded. If Mark cant get your car on the road, AND save you money and time...you probably ought to scrap the car..HIGHLY SATISIFED WITH THE EXTRAORDINARY CUSTOMER SERVICEUpdate, Jan 11.Took the Z down for its idler arm and bushings, and alignment....was quoted one price..got there to pick her up..and was told a LOWER price..i asked why and Mark said I found the parts less expensive..they still have lifetime warranty, oh, and..the labor carries a THREE YEAR warranty. After our car accident, they waited after hours for the tow truck to drop off our damaged truck. Mark helped make everything easier., from dealing with the insurance adjuster, and getting things repaired. Wed have been lost without him.

Good shop. Resolved 4 wheel alignment issues that kept shredding tired. My vehicle was a difficult case, out of spec from factory. Now MPGs are up, road noise is down, and I she doesnt feel out of control every time it rains.

Great work for all your automotive needs

Mark was awesome in helping my husband and I work on his 1988 E350 van great work and he was just so good to us.

I WOULD GIVE GRIFFITH AUTOMOTIVE ANY THNG BUT A GOOD REVIEW ! THE OWNER MARK IS VERY SARCASTIC, ARROGANT AND FOUND EVERY REASON IN THE BOOK NOT HONOR THE COUPON OF A FREE ALIGNMENT THAT COME FROM HIS OWN SHOP ! HE HAD ANOTHER ONE OF HIS EMPLOYEES COME OVER AND CHEERLEAD AND SAY OTHER THINGS WERE WRONG WITH MY CAR THATS WHY THEY COULDNT DO IT ! I HAD TO TAKE IT TO ANOTHER SHOP AND HAD THEM DO IT ! AND THEY FOUND NO REASON OF WHY IT COULDNT OF BEEN DONE ! AND THE GUY WHO TEST DROVE MY CAR WAS GONE FOR 2O MINUTES AND EVEN CAME BACK WITH LUNCH IN MY CAR WHO THE HELL DOES THAT !? I SAT THERE FOR OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF TO JUST HAVE NOTHING DONE ON MY CAR ! THIS PLACE IS A JOKE ! AND THE SAD THING IS I WAS A THIRD TIME REPEAT CUSTOMER !!

These guys know what they are doing. Enough said.

The business had a good customer service and they did everything they needed to do I was satisfied with the service good price and I will be going back in the future to them

So far so good

Helped me tow my car fixed it and I still had money in my pocket. Great place I highly recommend:) I will return
