I am not a gamer but my sons have every console out. But I did not know when you pre order a game you have to go to the same location to pick it up. I shouldve known that, its logical 🙄

Awful manager.I asked about an item and he said *guaranteed* theyd have at least one on release day. He lied to me - I camped for hours as the first person in line, then was told by an employee at open that they had 2 of the item, but both had been sold by pre-orders, AKA it was reserved by favoritism. If youre going to backdoor the items to people, at least tell others that you wont have any so they dont wait outside for nothing.

I went into this location “just looking” at 7:55 not knowing they close at 8pm. I am a retail worker and I know a customer like that can be really frustrating when you just want to lock up and go home. At about 8:05 the employee very politely came and asked if I was still looking. I asked what time they closed and when I realized it was 5 minutes ago I got really embarrassed and wanted to rush out of the store. The employee put no pressure on me to leave or to buy anything and I actually ended buying a game I probably wouldn’t have if the employee wasn’t so cool. Thanks, GameStop Employee, that’s how you do it!

Great got a brand new switch

Just went to GameStop, a guy named Enzo helped me, he was fantastic. I was looking for the game yooka-laylee. He found me a used copy, and because it was used it only cost $10 for the game. And then he hooked me up with a $5 discount, so it was only $5 for the game. Really good deal, ask for Enzo to wait on you if he’s there.

The customer service staff were friendly and helpful. However, a lot of merchandise was out of stock so most of the things that we tried to order was unavailable.

There was no Social Distancing or Mask wearing outside the Store waiting for PS5 or XBOX on Black Friday. If their is a COVID outbreak in the Troy area blame this terrible about to go out of business company

Had to get a new xbox during this quarantine and Eric was a great help. I offered to meet him at the door and he insisted I stay in my car which made me more comfortable. 10/10 definitely recommend

Employee at GameStop told me if I get the warranty for a console it would be replaced. Came in the next day and the same person said the warranty wouldnt help me with getting a replacement.

I wish I could give no stars because apparently we were the wrong color to receive proper customer service on our sons birthday. Great job gamestop, take a bow, you are whats wrong with the world!

I had a really positive experience here. The associates were prompt, friendly gave me straight forward answers to my questions, and werent just trying to sell me something. Im very pleased with the Nintendo Switch I purchased here.

Super helpful. I came in to ask some specific questions about my console and they were thorough, attentive, and even though they didnt have what I needed in stock, they told me which stores had it.

Honestly Ive been coming here since this location opened. Great service. At times the line can move a little slow but thats usually due to the employee taking his/her time to give good service to everyone.

I stopped in today just to get a PS4 and some games. The manager was nice, greeted me and suggested some games, did his job properly. However, endlessly suggested I become an elite member and tried to empty my pockets as much as possible. It reminded me why I buy off Amazon instead of from a store thats aiming to meet a quota...nearly walked out...

They dont always have the best sales, and sometimes trade ins dont give you the best value, but the staff here is great. Tremendous knowledge of whats coming, what to preorder and what to skip, or wait to pick up used.

I bought a used Nintendo 3DS from the GameStop by Oakland Mall. Come to find out the bottom touchscreen was malfunctioning. I called to several other gamestop locations and the Troy location was the only one to answer their phones. I spoke with Corey, who was able to hold another one for me to exchange. When I made it in, the two guys who were working, they took care of me and was able to do the exchange once they saw the issue. I would recommend coming to this GameStop for the friendly service from an awesome staff!

The absolute worst customer service ever. They would rather sit and talk than help customers out. Door opens at 11 am and the gentleman comes to the door to open at 11:05, unlocks the door and opens it about a foot then closes it in front of my daughters face who is 8. Ive been to this location 3 times and each time the service has been subpar. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
