After trying to start a new account for an existing customer at another location, I found out the phone was not activated. So, I came to this location hoping to resolve the issue. When I explained what the problem was the associate did not know how to help and contacted her manager. He said I had to bring the phone in and purchase a new SIM card and activate the phone. The associate didnt even attempt to look up the account by phone number. So I called customer service myself and they told me the phone was changed to a new plan and all that was needed to activate the phone was a payment. So I went back in the store and paid to activate the phone and she told me she had no ink in her printer to give me a receipt nor did she know how to send it by email. Just a suggestion, but the customer representatives that work in store may need additional training to better assist paying customers who have issues with their service.

They charge $25 for a SIM card that is listed for $9.99 on Boost’s website. Also, the associate, while very nice, had no idea how to activate my new iPhone 12 Pro Max. I literally had to drive here 3 times before leaving with an activated phone. I first requested to purchase just the SIM card. I left the new phone at home and planned on activating it myself online via Boost’s website. She said since I didn’t have the new phone with me, she’d have to link the SIM card to my current/old phone. Big mistake. Due to the SIM card being linked to my old phone, I was unable to activate the iPhone 12 PM. So I came back a second time with the new phone, left the box at home thinking all of the needed information should be on the phone. She says she needs the box to scan it into the system... and tells me to come back tomorrow as they close at 7. I leave, head back anyways a third time and get there at 6:45ish because their website states they close at 7. Not before 7. She seems frustrated and said she already started closing everything down, even though I called before coming and let her know I was coming anyways, and she said if I showed up within 15 minutes of speaking to her on the phone, that she’d be able to help me. Thankfully, I already had a boost mobile rep on the phone when I arrived and she instructed the associate what to do. Guess what the associate on the phone says? To toss the new SIM card that I had just bought that the associate linked to my old phone, because that’s what was preventing it from being activated. She says to use a brand new SIM card. And guess what. That worked immediately. Really frustrating that I had originally asked the associate on my first visit to buy just the SIM card and not have it associated with my current phone/account. And she said she couldn’t/wasn’t allowed to do that. Instead, I had to make 3 trips there and back in order for her to come to this conclusion. I live 15 minutes away, which isn’t far, but not close either. What a waste of gas. AND I was ripped off and overpaid for the SIM card. Never will I visit this location again.
