Lock went out, and I didnt notice the headlight was out when I bought it(my fault) and also needed the throttle body changed. They did it for me, charged no labor, nothing for locks or lights and got me the best price for the part. They treated me as a priority, which felt great. I went to top notch and purchased a vehicle and not even 24 hours later I was broken down. They said we will find you an even better one. Giving the benefit of the doubt I looked to see what else they had. I saw another vehicle, took it out for a test drive and broke down and had to be picked up by dealership. Even after all this I still bought the car as they guaranteed to fix the problem, steering n a/c. Bought their warranty and it was all downhill from there. Physically got the car 10/21/20 and from then til 2/1/21, Basically 3 months, I had 2 transmissions put in, brakes twice as they forgot to put a part back in correctly, A/C to them 4 times and never fixed my a/c, door handle was broken prior to purchase and was suppose to be fixed before me taking possession but it took 3 times going back to them. When I told them my transmission was going, they said to keep driving it tol it gets worse. Next day my transmission went on 15 freeway on my way to work. .I finally brought my car elsewhere to have my a/c fixed and since top notch cashed in with my warranty and got paid over 1000 for saying they repaired my a/c but it never worked I had to pay over 1000 out of pocket.since this wasnt totally not right I brought them to court to be refunded for repairs and won my case. Then top notch has the nerve after all they put me through to APPEAL the case! Good customer service, NOT!! IF YOU WANT A NO HASSLE, GOOD CAR, DO NOT GO HERE! BIGGEST NIGHTMARE EVER! THEY will talk you into buying a warranty and then do repairs but with parts from a junk yard and bill warranty company for brand new. I have the proof! TRUST ME THIS PLACE IS AS SCANDELOUS AS IT GETS!! YOU WOULD FIGURE THEY WOUlDNT WANT TO DEAL WITH AN ANGRY CUSTOMER THAT THEY SCREWED AROUND WITH HAD TWO BROKEN DOWN CARS AND HAD MY CAR LONGER THAN I DID, and pay the measly 1000 but no, they are rude and Im going to try my hardest to let EVERYONE KNOW WHAT THEY DID AND NOT TO GO HERE! I PAID CASH ALSO. ONLY HAD TO FINANCE THEIR SCANDELOUS WARRantTY FROM SOME 3RD PARTY.. DO NOT DO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!

I bought a 2014 Ram 1500 truck that is in excellent condition and a few days later I returned with my son to trade in his old truck and get a used 2017 Hyundai Elantra that is also in excellent condition. I have low credit and my son had no credit history at all but Josh our sales person who is also the general manager got it done for both of us. I drove almost an hour to reach their place but it was totally worth it. Bought quite a few cars here over the years. Unfortunately the last one was definitely the LAST one. The experience had always been more than pleasant but it only takes one REALLY BAD experience to ruin all the othersI bought my son a car from Top Notch last summer and paid over $20,000 cash. My son loved the car but as he drove off he noticed some warning lights flash on the dashboard. The sales guy said it was just a wiring or fuse problem. Not a big deal. Well it was a BIG DEAL. We had to bring the car back multiple times as the car continued to break down most notably on the freeway. They tried to fix it but couldn’t. Top Notch brought it to Ford. Turns out the car needed a WHOLE NEW ENGINE and other engine parts! We only had the car for maybe 4 months. Thank goodness we got a warranty!!! Unfortunately it still cost ANOTHER $1751 to fix even with the warranty!! I’m glad they chipped in $400 (They said it was the ‘goodness of their hearts’)When we had brought it back the first (of many) times, the salesman said It was advertised ‘AS IS’ and that’s the risk you take. OK. Lesson learned. Never again…….

Today I drove to Temecula to trade in my 2014 Escalade for a newer, lower mileage 2018 Escalade. What an easy, satisfying, no pressure no hassle transaction that was! I really like the Harley davidson F150 I purchased in early 2020 even though it did have some issues expected of a high mileage 2007 truck. My only complaint is there was no after purchase follow up even when I texted the sales man that sold me the truck. The reason for 4 stars. Of course this was at the beginning of the pandemic.A recommendation to any perspective buyer of used vehicles is to look for cars with no modifications. My F150.had an amplifier system installed and the BCM moved from the right location that was the cause of my first issues and there was no way for Top Notch to know this since removing the backseat is a process and not simple.

Bought an SUV from Top Notch Auto Locators on 6/27/19. Very happy with entire experience. Mike was very nice and knowledgeable about the vehicle, answered all my questions. Entire staff was friendly. No high pressure sales tactics that I was expecting from a used car lot. I was able to take the vehicle to a local mechanic prior to purchase, and car checked out great. These fraud guys took advantage of a Woman and sold her a lemon car that was top notch owned knowingly. They hide what is really wrong with their cars. She went there in desperate need of a vehicle and had cash. She had warning lights that came on just three days after getting the car. She had a slow leak in the front tire and car had no gas and was on E the day she got the car and she thought they would help her out, but they did not. lest than 90 days the the battery dies and a check engine light came on. They still was acting like they didnt know about it before hand. They changed her oil and reset the check engine light and shortly after that the car was leaking oil in the engine and the oil pan. They still acted as if they didnt know about the leaks. After three times going back to them she got frustrated and took the car to a dealer who makes the car she bought. They found so many problems with the car that was no way her fault in the time that she had it. She was never told about the problems and she and I asked about any previous repairs and the guy Mike said it was in good shape and was serviced by them. He either did not know or was lying. They even tried to turn it around and call the Police because we got into a verbal fight after trying to talk civil to them. They claimed they were scared when indeed they left her very scared to drive the vehicle they sold her. She remembers when she took the car there one of the three times and saw another customer that was a upset about a car he got from them and after they kept trying to see if they could rig the car to no avail, they gave the man his money back. He said he really wanted the car, but he would not go to them again. She has found an Attorney now, but all she wanted was for them to pay for the repairs that was about 2,000.

I came down for a week long trip from the Bay Area and was able to inspect, drive, get the car over to Toyota for inspection, and purchase the car while working remotely. Hunter is awesome and accommodating. Very clear and easy process. Looking forward to my drive back up to the bay in my car.

Lemons, thats the vehicles that are sold here. The day we took our truck off the lot it was sent into the shop for repairs because it would turn off. They had an exhaust issue and the smog test would not pass. Once the mechanic determined the issue they asked us to pay half of the $1,500 cost for repairs for a $30,,000 Chevy Silverado we just bought fresh off the lot. We also purchased the extended warranty for an additional $2,500 the sales person talked us into. It was garbage we had issue after issue with the truck and the warranty covered none of it. I would not recommend this used dealership. I wish they had negative stars because I can not report this with out marking a star.

I worked with Josh to purchase a 2012 Camaro. I went in on a Saturday and the place was busy and Josh was working on at least one other sale (if not two). He showed me to the car and let me have all the time I wanted/needed reviewing the car in their garage. The car was very clean and everything described in the ads I had seen that lead me to Top Notch. I drove the car and decided to purchase it. Josh stayed late that day to complete the transaction. The financing they offered was pretty good but I though I could do better so we set things up to go either way. I had my car with me so even though Josh had personal plans the next day (Sunday) he was willing to adjust things so I could get my car the next day.Ive waited to write this review pending the refund of the license fee estimate (having been cheated out of some of my money in another recent purchase elsewhere) but as Josh promised, once I received the registration I called Josh with the actual costs and Top Notch refunded all of the difference.It was a pleasure working with Josh and Top Notch and Id be happy to do it again.

Service was great when first bought the car. Then two weeks later the transmission went bad. So car was stuck at a shop for over a month due to parts availability. Called TNA about the issue and pretty much tried to sell me a used transmission. Very bad quality vehicle. If your buying a car here, I suggest getting warranty.

Had a great overall experience buying a used XK8 at Top Notch.They were very helpful in letting me take the car down to a Jaguar specialist in San Diego for a pre purchase inspection. Had no problem negotiating a fair deal with Graham, the owner, which included some work that needed to be done involving removing and refitting some of the inside trim. Would have been a five star review had they not missed refitting some of the trim. I found everybody at Top Notch to be very helpful, fair and friendly. Way to go guys!

I generally dont review businesses, but I understand purchasing a car is a big deal. I had searched for months looking for a classic Cadillac before I found one at Top Notch. Kenny was great and was willing to show me the car twice after hours! I have now been driving this car for exactly a year. Besides an accessory belt and a water pump pulley, Ive done no major repairs; just general maintenance. The car is exactly what I wanted (except the mileage could be better, but I knew that when I bought it). Kenny even cut me a pretty great deal and came down about $800 on the purchase. If you find a car thats right for you at Top Notch, then buy it!

4 YEAR REVIEW.I bought a 2007 Ford Expedition from them in 2012, with 100k miles. Excellent price at the time, and in excellent condition. The tires were a bit worn, I complained, they REPLACED THEM FOR FREE. I have been driving this car for 4 YEARS STRAIGHT with not a single issue outside of normal wear and tear. They sold me a great car, great price, great process, I couldnt recommend these guys enough.Read through the other complaints, late fees?? So you have the audacity to complain about a dealer that will finance you and you stiff them AND complain?? Also some guy complaining about a 10k car with old noisy brakes and pending recalls?? Please, its your responsiblity to deal with recalls and basic maintenance. These guys sell solid used cars dirt cheap, they arent going to take every vehicle through the dealer for every nit picky recall, thats stupid. And if there is something wrong like brakes or tires, dont buy it, its that simple, or do what I did, point it out, and they will even go halves with you on the repair, seems fair given how cheap they sell their vehicles for, I came out thousands ahead, its been 4 years and Im still happy with these guys!!!!

Grahm and Kenny are the best auto dealers i have ever dealt with. They are honest and fair. I bought a 2006 Ford F150 from them for a great price. They were able to get me financed and the truck has worked great for me. Communication with them has always been like you are a friend and customer for life. I purchased my 2007 Chevy Aveo from Top Notch Auto Locators almost a month ago and I couldnt be more happy with the car and the service they gave me. The ones who helped with the purchase were Mike and Steven. The people that work there are nothing but nice and did not pressure me into buying a car like other places seem to do. They were very considerate and even dropped the price $200 for me! Taking care of their customers is also a bug deal to them. A week after I had the car it needed a mechanics touch to fix something so they covered the labor for me as well as the cost for the part. They had it done within a day and a half! I cant give Top Notch Auto enough stars! For the first time I was treated as a person and even a friend, not just a credit score. Im really shy and they made sure I felt comfortable and welcome while I was there. There was a bit of a wait due to a system problem with the credit check, so Graham helped me out with their in house financing program. Im young, only 23 and I look even younger, but they never tried to take advantage of me or my inexperience; instead they did everything they could to make sure I got a great deal and a car that Im beyond happy with. I couldnt be more grateful for everything Kenny and Graham did for me!

Josh was awesome. I came into the shop after several months + one final long day of trying to find an age appropriate car for my 17 year old son. Thanks to my husband, I ended up wandering in to Top Notch to look at a car that was posted on their website, but had just been sold. To my pleasant surprise, they had several cars in inventory that were in great condition, so I looked around and ended up finding a 2012 Yaris that was what I considered the ideal car for my son. The transaction was easy, the guys were polite, and customer service was, yes...TOP NOTCH! There were a couple of small, post-transaction items that required follow up - and they were followed up on with what I consider EXCEPTIONAL service. I highly recommend these guys if youre looking for something that isnt big dealership overpriced... and if youre interested in having the highly uncommon pleasant car buying experience.

Im a 19 year old musician. & Ive had trouble with getting the banks to trust that I make enough money to pay off a car loan. This was by far a Top Notch Auto purchase experience. I had located a truck I was interested in and needed to a purchase a vehicle that day as I had just sold my previous truck. I live over an hour away and of course hit rush hour traffic and was seriously concerned that they would be closed by the time I got there. I called ahead and was reassured they would still be there and wait for our arrival. When I got there Graham and Mike were very helpful and welcoming. The truck was exactly what they had advertised online. The online credit application for financing was easy and efficient. While we waited for finance approval Graham recommended a place to go have a drink and a bite to eat while we waited since we werent from the area. Its now 7pm when they close at 6 and didnt feel the least bit rushed (Mike stayed working for us until past 8pm.) Since the lenders office that could give us a better rate was already closed we decided to come back the next day. We had already been pre-approved for a loan from a ridiculous company online with a 29% APR but they assured me they could beat that. The next morning I showed up they had all my paperwork in order with an APR that Im sure no other auto loan company would be able to beat as well as a 100,000 mile warranty included!!!!! Mike, Graham, and Josh made the car buying process enjoyable, stress free, and flawless. I cant say enough great things about the guys running this business. They went ABOVE and BEYOND. I will definitely be referring anyone and everyone to them. Thanks guys!

Listen people...if you dont give Graham and Kenny the first shot at putting you into a car, you will be missing a great opportunity to save $$$$$$$$$ and lower your stress level. I have been buying cars for 40 years, and have never had such an easy and stress free car buying experience as I had with Top Notch Auto. These guys are great!! I told him that I wanted a 1 year old Towncar and in just two days he secured the vehicle and delivered the next day. Top Notch- All that the name implies! Worked with Josh and Mike on a purchase of a 2003 Corolla. They are very low key and not pushy at all which was refreshing! As their name implies, this organization operates at the highest level. After assisting me with my purchase of a 2005 Malibu Maxx, I have had over 100,000 trouble free miles of service.Recently I needed some repair work done. This was handled in a fast, courteous and professional manner. Very satisfactory in all regards.I will never want to deal with another auto company. I cannot recommend another place as highly as Top Notch Auto Locators. They are selective in each vehicle and the personnel is as friendly as family.

This place is racist I Talked to Hunter yesterday and let him know about that I don’t have credit and can he give me estimate on the down payment and monthly payment he like yeah okay and we should be able to to get you in and when I take a hour drive there he turned me down the second he saw me and said yeah you have to put more than half down of the cost of the vehicle to get and even with that he refused to sell me the car. And wouldn’t show me the inventory of anything.

Wow what an amazing little gem, went in hesitant on my first car purchase from a dealler walked away confident i made the right choice by going with this dealership. There staff were all amazing, and thanks to them im really hopefull for my first new used car purchase. I cant wait to take this fiat 500 home and get to work.Much love, much respect. I cannot say enough great things about Top Notch Auto! I bought my 2011 Armada from them one year ago. I should have written a review right away- but life happens! Im actually glad I can now say how amazing this staff have been to me for the past 12 months. I have had a couple minor things happen with the truck over this year and Josh, Graham and T.R. have literally treated me like family! They have helped me when I had issues- the very same day- every time! Because I purchased a great extended warranty I have paid absolutely nothing out of pocket. One of my favorite things about this dealership is how straight forward and honest they have been. They do not mince words and they always shoot straight. You never feel like you are dealing with schwarmy car salesmen. You feel cared for and seen as a valued customer, not a dollar sign or a profit margin. Ive been watching for the right Tesla Model S for about 18 months. I was planning to watch for another 6 months or so while I waited to save a few thousand more for my down payment to keep the payments low. I saw an ad in Car Gurus from Top Notch Auto Locators. Never heard of them. Seemed like might me a place to avoid (small used car dealer - who knows what kinds of trouble I could get into). I even checked with the BBB to make sure they didnt have a bunch of unsolved issues.But - they had this 2013 P85 Model S for about $31K. So I went down there to just look at the car - fully expected it wouldnt be the car for me - I wanted to wait anyway.I stopped there after putting new tires on my Leaf. I was planning to trade my Leaf in when I got my Tesla, but I couldnt wait any longer on the tires - and they had a Memorial Day 10% discount - so I bought the tires. I had enough charge on the Leaf and it was early, so I thought Id give the Tesla at Top Notch a peek.Top Notch was a bit off the 15S and 15 miles from me. Small place - as expected. I was pleasantly surprised that it was nice inside. They took me into the showroom to show me the Tesla. It was sitting next to 2 Bentleys. As I got closer to the car I thought right color! I got inside - wow - nice. Everything I looked at I kept thinking this just might be the one.Really, I started thinking I might actually have to take a test drive and consider moving my plans forward 6 months. But what about the new tires I JUST PUT ON THE LEAF that morning?Mike (salesman) humored me and we took the P85 to the Mall Tesla Supercharges to see if this particular car qualified for free supercharging. We got there and spent a good 45 minutes on the charger while we tried to contact Tesla to find out if THIS car also qualified for 8 yr unlimited mile motor/battery warranty.But Mike was patient with me. He needed to get back because there were only two people working the floor. So we made our way back. I told Mike I wanted it, but I needed to know about the warranty. I also needed to know if they would take my Leaf in trade.Yep - they took the Leaf and compensated me for the brand new tires with total price that was reasonable and within my goal. They also brought the P85 price down a bit to bring it closer to my target.Mike was honest and said Id get my best deal going through a credit union if I had one. Yep again - SDCCU.I drove the car home and was in HEAVEN.But the story doesnt end there. While I was signing the docs they had me initial a couple of places to indicate that I should come to them if I had any issues with the car - and that any disputes should be handled through arbitration. Reasonable, I thought.Quickly, to bring this long story to an end... I had a problem with the car. It had an obscure break in the subframe in the back of the car causing the rear wheel to float - unable to be aligned. I discovered this while attempting to get the wheels aligned after putting new tires on the front (cant seem to get away from buying new tires!).My first thought was that I was SCREWED. I bought this used car with no warranty (on anything other than the battery and motor) and now I was going to have to fork-out thousands to fix it. But then I remembered Mike saying I should come to them if I had problems. So I drove there.I talked with Mike and Josh. I showed them the issue. We discovered I could buy the necessary part for about $650 at a salvage yard they trusted. They offered to install the part at no cost to me. So I left the car there and they took care of business. They even took the car to the local shop to have it aligned for me (at my cost of course - I was planning that before I learned of the problem).A week later I was back in my dream. The car is in great shape. They washed it for me. And I showed up with beer and chips as a big THANK YOU to the team for helping me through this.Would I go there again? Yep!

My car broke down for like the 4th time in as many months. After being towed home I started looking online and found Top Notch Auto on Yelp. I have to say my fellow yelpers were correct in their assessment.Graham, the owner, answered my call, calmed me down, and told me to head on in so we could see if I could get financed. When we got their he introduced himself and sent us over to one of his sales team named Mike.Mike was wonderful. He helped us figure out what we were looking for and if we could afford it. He was not pushy or overwhelming. He truly just wanted to help. Even when there was a glitch in their financing system, they had a rep on the phone to help us at 8pm!!My husband and I have purchased many vehicles over the years and I have to say this was one of the most comfortable experiences.So far we are loving our 2010 Honda Odyssey :)

I’ll start by saying their sales people are super nice and friendly but the car they sold me is a piece of junk I’ve had nothing but problems with it. The day I bought it I brought it home then a couple hours later the battery was already dead... no I didn’t leave the lights on I had it tested it was at 36 percent. The transmission is already going bad and now the EPC light is on and I can’t even drive it. I just got the car in December and already having all these issues. Beware of this place

What an impressive operation! It was more like buying a TV than it was like buying a car. My favorite part was that here wasnt any salesman pressure (the part about car buying that often takes the fun out of it for me).I can probably write several paragraphs on how refreshing our expedience was at Top Notch Auto but I will instead try to keep it short and sweet:We were able to find a car we liked(via the web) at TNA, We received an educated and accurate assessment over the phone as to the cars condition, We traveled for an hour to get to Top Notch Auto (We live an hour away), We arrive to find that the car exceeded expectations. We paid a price that was among the lowest of all of the available cars that we found advertised in the San Diego, Orange County and Temecula areas. I did my research and I did it thoroughly. I am absolutely certain that I could not have found a better value and the service was perfect.We worked with both Josh and Graham. Both were very patient and listened more than they spoke. We will definitely recommend Top Notch to our friends and Im sure well go back next time too!
