I searched at every dealership near me and everyone was charging thousands extra for a new car! Jonathan was very helpful and helped me get my new crosstrek, it even came in earlier than expected! There were no hidden fees or added extras I didn’t want. Everyone there was so friendly and honest. Honesty is important when buying a car and they are very transparent here so I’m glad I ended up purchasing my first Subaru here. Getting the appointment was painless, but in the future more than I desired. Work all done satisfactorily - no problems. Technician, if he tested if AC worked ok, left the setting on ice cold - cold as it would go. Also changed the dash display setting, and didnt return it to customer setting.

I made a mistake and came in 4 hours early to my appointment and your service department adjusted to my mistake. The service was done quickly and with no hassle. I have a new Honda Pilot and the new Subaru. Here is a comparison. The Subaru beats the Honda in all areas except in the separation of the front seats (Subaru is a smaller vehicle). The cruse control, head lights dining, iPhone connection, automatic braking, and lane centering all are much better in the Subaru. Thank you for providing a quality vehicle!

What a great place to buy a car. I highly recommend building your own vehicle at subaru.com and waiting the month plus to get exactly what you want. Its a seamless process and Hayden, (internet sales manager), will keep you updated as often as youd like. All it takes is the order #, (which you get online after you build the car) and you call and ask for Hayden. From there, give him the order number and a $500 deposit and Subaru begins the build. They actually delivered my 2021 Crosstrek 5 weeks earlier than expected! Dont try this with Bob Baker Subaru in Carlsbad, for some odd reason they dont take online orders which is just crazy to me. Prior to delivery, Hayden calls me and says my car is on a truck headed that way and I set up an appointment for delivery. The best part, upon delivery Im only at the dealership for less than 2 hours (30 minutes of that was being instructed on all the tech thats in the car). So easy, so simple and Subaru has great finance options which I used instead of the Navy Federal check I arrived with. I would and will buy another car from this dealership but just be warned, their inventory like every other dealership in the U.S. is very limited because of the nationwide chip shortage. Its worth the wait and the sales and financing team are top notch, informative and most of all friendly people.

We went in today with the intent of getting my husband another Subaru considering his was totalled in a crash when we arrived we asked for a certain sales person we asked if my husband could test drive an ascent which they brought out the keys and told him to take it for a spin before my husband even put it in drive a very rude guy walked up and asked if we were buying the car because he was and a different sales person came up and asked my husband if he was going to buy the vehicle if not then he couldnt test drive it because these people intended on buying it. These people had literally just driven up and from that they stopped my husband from test driving it and told hm he could test drive a used one instead. I felt so insulted what part of us said we didnt want the car are we too Hispanic? Is it because we are a military family? We didnt deserve to be treated that way and have this older Caucasian couple have the red carpet pulled out for them.

This was the best experience I had at a car dealership probably ever. Not only was the final price given for my new 21 Outback one of the best in all of Southern CA, but my salesman Jonathan was really honest and upfront, (something you dont see from other dealerships these days). Even though I got a better quote from a dealership way up north, I had to buy it from here because of Jonathans patience and overall positive attitude in this buying process (before, during, & even afterwards). Highly recommend!!

After going to many dealership we were ready to call if a wrap, seen a vehicle online and agreed with the price. When we arrived we spoke with Internet Sales manager Hayden he honored the price had such great personality and very humble gave us direct options in financing and what we were looking for. Phoned the John Hine Service department because I picked up a metal bracket on the road going to Lowes. It made a loud noise so I stopped and saw it and went directly to the nearest Discount Tire store. They took the tire off and determined it could not be repaired. Because it is all wheel drive they recommend replacing all 4 tires that had only 20k miles on them. I tried and tried getting through to the Hine Service dept to confirm that fact that all 4 needed replaced because of all. I sat on hold for 20 minutes, no answer. Hung up and called the Sales dept. They answered on the first ring. Sales said only 1 person was working and put me back thru to Service, sat there another 15 min. & hung up again. Tried calling a 3rd time and waited another 10 minutes, no answer so hung up. Purchased all 4 tires and went on my way. Their Service department is not what Subaru claims their dealers to be. Rhis is not my first incident with this Service department. Ready to sell my 2016 Outback with 57k miles because there isnt a decent Subaru Service department in my area. Subaru will be notified since this is the 3rd experience I have witnessed.

I recently purchased a 2017 Subaru Impreza sport for my wife, we live in the inland empire so the dealership was around an hour away from us. I did my researched in the web and requested quotes for cars from several dealerships around, the quotes that I got from John Hines Temecula were lower than the other dealerships around me. That was nice, but honestly what made me want to drive down to temecula was the customer services we received from Tobiaus, the internet sales manager. From all the quotes I submitted, he by far went above and beyond to earn my business. Not only did he sent a lower quote right off the bat, he called me, and he went ahead and sent me a video of the car I had inquire about showing me what it looked it and some of the features! This was awesome, the video was so much better than just the pics on the website as they tent to be pretty standard. That was a nice touch. as I was still doing research to try to get the best deal, I asked several questions and even showed quotes from other dealers, and he always answers in a truthful and kind way, being as helpful as possible making sure I was taken care of! When I decided to go to the dealership, I had text him the night prior to see if he was going to be there, he went in to work on his day off to make sure I had a great experience! (I learned this later in the day) when I arrived at the dealer he had the car set aside ready to show it! My wife did not like the car we had inquired originally, and not like many other dealerships, Tobi was telling her that if she was not fully convinced with it, not to buy the car! Most other sales agents would push the car and try different tactics to get us to buy. It was refreshing and nice, as we looked around we saw the car she like, we test drove 3 different cars and again Tobi was the highlight of the dealership! He took care of us, gave us a great price with no hassle, honest and it made te whole experience a 5 star one! He showed us many different scenarios on pricing to make sure we had the best option that worked for us! We got a great car, our first Subaru, for a great price and a great experience, and Tobi and John hine Subaru have earned a loyal customer! Keep up the good work and thank you Tobi for the respect, and kind attitude towards us!I would highly recommend this establishment to purchase a car from! Okay. Your standard run of the mill auto dealership. But I think I prefer Palm Springs Subaru better, by a margin. Im thinking in terms of, Service Department performance. Palm Springs was Bolt-Straight Upright, upfront. These guys, a potential problem experienced once, which I did not allow to materialize fully. But theyll do, for routine maintenance help. Theyll get you there.
I took my car in for its usual scheduled maintenance service. Phil Bravo is my Service Advisor and he was EXCELLENT!!! I always ask for Phil as he knows his stuff... is always a gentleman and very courteous. I usually ask a lot of questions as this is the only way for me to get to know my Subaru Outback and make sure it will last me for a very long time, stay in good running condition and make sure that if something doesnt sound right I can get it checked out IMMEDIATELY and not wait. Phil is always there to answer my questions either in person or via email... he is very knowledgeable and Im happy to have him as my Service Advisor. I have recommended John Hine Temecula Subaru to a number of people letting them know how please I am with the Sales Dept. as well as the Service Dept. My husband and I own, each, a Subaru and we couldnt be happier. Thank you!

Our sales lady Erika was amazing. My issue with this business is the finance lady named Jenevieve. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. Having being told there was someone ahead oh you but I took you first with an attitude was very unprofessional. I didnt ask to go first so why be rude to me? As well as me asking questions and having her roll her eyes at me? Like how does she work here? Also she mailed me paperwork she forgot to give us IN AN UNSEALED ENVELOPE!!!!!!! Like this paperwork not only has all my personal information, but it was mailed and unsealed. The only reason i went through with the sale was because my sales person Erika again was amazing, so me not making the sale would have affected her, which wouldnt be fair.
I can honestly say that this is the best experience I have ever had at a car dealership. The salesman Jonathon Pierce helped me throughout the whole process. He was not overly pushy and was extremely helpful in helping me buy my new 2021 crosstrek. Part of the reason I chose this dealership over others was because of how he treated me and how helpful he was. He did not try to add tons of extra costs on top of the car and was upfront about everything. If I end up buying another car or know someone who’s looking for a car I would definitely recommend they go to John Hines Subaru and ask for Jonathon.

Update: I recant my one star review of John Hine Temecula Subaru and have updated it to 5 stars. I went back today and spoke with Erik Kelley, service manager, Carlos Leos, sales manager and David LaRue, the salesman who sold me the car. After about an hour of speaking with them about why I was so upset, we reached a mutual understanding and Erik and David expressed their sincerest apology. I left the dealership feeling HEARD and I felt that they were truly sorry for what had happened. Lastly, I left the dealership happy and with my brand new 2021 Subaru Outback. We are planning on coming back here in the near future as my boyfriends son will be needing a car. Not enough can be said about David LaRue. I will sing to high praises for this man, he was the one who cared and made sure I left the dealership happy. Thank you David, for turning a terrible moment into a happy moment for me. I’m not a big comments on reviews and majority of time I give 5 stars but this time I just have to let the public know about the customer service on their Service Department being given to a long time customer of this dealership. Like I said I’ve been coming to do my service for a few years to Hine and everything has been fine. Until recently I’ve had some mechanical issues with my car. It’s been over a month and my car’s issue has still not been fixed and on top of that I’ve been paying for “what will fix the issue” repairs. And also they have a employee by the name Amanda that has been extremely rude and even gives wrong estimates(higher than was given at first) and even then gives snarky remarks. I really don’t understand how they still have her employed since her attitude and customer service is leaving a very sour taste.

The purchase of the vehicle went smoothly, but very slow. After i had the car for about three weeks I contacted their service department and told them I could not get the Homelink to open my garage door. The service department told me they could not help me. I tried to contact the sales manager, but was not able to reach that person. I called the sales man that sold me the car and he said he would get involved and have someone contact me. I never heard from the dealership again. So they tell you their that they are best in Customer Service. Appears to be a slogan and not a fact.

My 2019 Ascent touring, with 14,000 miles, was in for a month due to needing a new transmission. I never received a phone call with an update. I was always the one who called and was made to feel as if I was bothering them since they had no update to give. I asked about the quality of the car and was told everything is fine: no explanation or details given, just that it was all under warranty.
They tried to charge my buddy $2,500+ for an emissions harness replacement since a white was frayed in two spots. Told him to follow me to my house and fixed it with a splice in 10 mins tops. Absolutely disgusting how much they tried to upsell him. This isnt even the only example of this.
I can always trust John Hine Mazda to do what I came in for and not try and upsell me for things I dont need.

Purchasing my car from John Hine Sales team was the best car buying experience I have ever encountered.Before I dive in on telling you why it was the best experience I want you to know that I called every Subaru dealer in San Diego County. Every single one of those dealers would not offer to work out any numbers with me unless I came into the dealership. Even after I all told them I already test drove the car I just wanted. I told them all I’m ready to do a 36 month lease on the brand new Crosstrek 2021 Sports car. None of them would give me that quote unless I went into the dealership.I sent an email inquiry to John Hine. And after four texts they were able to confirmed my lease quote.John Hine is 50 mins away from me. So if thought I would just drive up to the dealership that was 10 mins away from me and get the same deal. I was absolutely wrong. They took my keys and made me deal with a salesman that kept on saying he could not give me the monthly payments I was looking for unless I gave him $4500 dollars down. His down payment request was $1500 more down than what I was going to give John Hine. And the monthly lease payments were still high with a $4500 down payment.I did not tell the. Dealership that I already got a confirmed quote from John Hine. I just wanted to see if they would be able to make the same offer without me telling them. After 2 hours of dealing with this bad Subaru Salesman I just walked out.That dealership treated me as if I was a customer with bad credit and no money.Note: My credit rate = Tier 1I called John Hine the minute I walked and asked them if they can confirmed the quote that the texted me. They said everything is confirmed.I drove all the way to Temecula from Carlsbad. As I pulled up to the dealership they had parked my new Subaru Crosstrek Sport 2021 out in front of the dealership. I was greeted right when I got out of my car. They had all my paperwork ready in 5 minutes for me to sign. It took me literally 12 minutes to sign all the paperwork. When I was done with the paperwork my Sales guy Jonathan was waiting for me at his desk to give me an overview of my car. Once we were done with that he handed me my new car keys. We high elbowed each other and I drove off in my brand new car. I got the monthly payments I was quoted with only 3K down. The monthly payments were still lower than the other dealership that want $4.5K down.I am so please with the John Hines Sales Team.They know we all work hard for our money. They just want to get us in a new car with haggling you for more money.I love my brand new 2021 Crosstrek Sport.Thanks to Billy and Jonathan for making buying a car easy.
I regret the purchase of my dream car. Love the car, but I have never been respected by any Subaru staff. I feel like I am dismissed due to my age. I have yet to ever have a positive experience with Subaru staff.

We bought a 2019 Subaru Outback. The service could not have been better. Our salesperson was Derick. He was honest, clear and easy to work with. We were in and out in 2.5 hours start to finish. We came back for our follow-up appointment with Cherie, which allowed us to ask questions about the car after driving it for a couple weeks. She was lovely and explained all the features of the car. Very limited parking and slow service. I was just picking up some parts (brake pads) and it took the guy almost a half hour to complete my order. He first took care of the customers who came in after me before he finally walked to a different building and grabbed the one set of brake pads that I purchased. I like using genuine subaru parts for all maintenance that I do, but I will definitely not go back here if it can be avoided.

I had been looking for a new car for a while now and I can say with full certainty that I am apart of the Subaru family now for life!I walked in with my friend and was immediately impressive with the staff of both dealerships(Subaru/Mazda). My go to guy is Derek Adams, he didn’t try to take advantage of the deal, he never once tried to get me to look at the most expensive car on the lot. He listened to what I wanted and found everything in my price range! Before I left the lot he took the time to go over all the bells and whistles of the car so I would be ready to go. Safety first! Derek even made sure my phone was hooked up to the Bluetooth so I would be safe on the road! Never experienced customer service like theirs! through the whole process everyone there was very transparent . We were lucky enough to get Billy Hornaday as our sales rep . He went above and beyond for us truly made us feel comfortable. He never made us feel pressured, and was very knowledgeable. Absolutely hands down the best customer service Ive ever experienced. I cannot rave enough or be more grateful for all his help that I doubt we would get anywhere else ! Aaaand we love our new Suburu WRX !!

As always the service is excellent and the service department is on top of their game. I am always impressed with them. There is also a nice lounge to relax in with a coffee machine and a vending machine around the corner. Also very clean!
