I brought my 2002 Honda S2000 by to Sergio for headlight restoration, front bumper painted and color matched, hood had some corrosion, fenders were wrinkled from previous owners roll job, fenders and hood painted. When I came to Sergio I told him the goal of this car is not to be a showroom car. I told him that this car is going to see the track more often than not, however, I was tired of it rolling around looking like a s*** box. With that being said Sergio gave me a great price and he definitely over delivered. I also needed the car back on a certain time table. Sergio worked with me to make sure the job was completed when I needed to have the car back. The work is phenomenal, I couldnt have been happier with the outcome. Another thing that Sergio really did for me that I appreciated was that during the job, my bumper was missing some hardware (previous owner), Sergio replaced all the missing hardware at no cost to me. I would highly recommend you bring your precious babies to Sergio, his passion shows in the end product. Shout out to Day and Austin for their help on the job as well.

Sergio and his team did an excellent job on my motorcycle. They are a great crew to work with and prices are good. I took my full dashboard assembly, chin spoiler, both saddle bag lids and and a new side cover that I had to replace all to get color matched. The peal white on my bike is very hard to color match but he was able to match it spot on. Let me tell you it came out great. Makes my bike look totally different. I will definitely be bring it back to do some detail work once I figure out what I want to do. If your looking for good quality work thats done right come see him you wont be disappointed. I can’t speak more highly of Sergio and his team at 3rd Gear Customs!! He has done 2 separate jobs for me! This one being the largest! I had ordered a carbon fiber trunk that was unfortunately damage from shipping! He was able to save the piece and completely make it look better than new! He also then recommended I paint the spoiler and wicker bill a gloss black, to make everything flow better and more uniform! Well let’s just say it came out absolutely perfect, and the quality of work is bar none. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone looking for exceptional work at a great price! I brought a set of WedsSport TC105Ns to Sergio in March 2020 to get refinished in a custom shade of bronze. I was impressed by the constant communication and the effort he put into matching the color I described. Even with COVID lockdowns starting and a busy shop Sergio completed the job on time and absolutely delivered from a quality standpoint.My car suffered brake failure and dumped fluid on one of the wheels a few months after I mounted them, stripping the finish off. Sergio matched the original custom color he mixed perfectly and there are no signs that this wheel was partially refinished at all (its the right rear wheel in the attached pictures).I know if I have any future paint or body work needs I will be taking my car to 3rd Gear Customs. Quality and excellent customer service and communication.

I brought in my 1969 Cadillac Deville to restore the color. They matched the original paint color and did an amazing job on the paint. It was flawless! Sergio and his crew do great work and the pricing was competitive compared to 3 other quotes I received in the area. I highly recommend them.

I have been working with Sergio at 3rd Gear Customs for the past 4 years. I was introduced to Sergio while I was working in San Diego. I had bought a bumper and needed to have it color matched and installed. Eventually we ended up discussing a full build on my Z. We ended up installing fender flares, installing a air ride suspension, installing various bolt ons, refinishing my wheels in a completely beautiful one off custom finish, fabricating mounts to mount recaro seats from a Nissan Juke, and last but not least a full paint job.Sergio has an attention to detail that is unparalleled to any shop that I have ever worked with. he was prompt and kept me abreast of any issues or delays during the build. He made himself available for questions even given my unorthodox work schedule. The quality is top notch and Sergio is an absolute expert in his field. To put things into perspective I live in Washington state, and since meeting Sergio, he is the only one I allow to work on my vehicles when it comes to paint and body. but enough from me, Ill let the photos speak for themselves.

I have a 1970 Honda CT70 that is a family heirloom. I needed it repainted candy sapphire blue as I am restoring it. This is a difficult color to match. After seeing what Sergio did with the engine bay on my Mustang, I knew there was only one person in the valley I could trust with this prized bike. As usual, he exceeded my expectations and hit it out of the ballpark. Couldnt be happier with the paint. If I ever need anything else, hes the guy Im going to.

ReviewI brought my 1971 Jaguar XJ6 into 3rd Gear Customs because i saw they had experience in working with older vehicles. From the start they made me feel welcomed and reassured me that my old lady would be back and cursing on the road in no time. I brought my car in with damage to the front bumper (chrome), passenger fender and the hood. Sergio talked to me about pricing and told me he would do everything he could when talking to my insurance company. Unfortunately throughout this time COVID hit and slowed down the process for any and every business, but Sergio and his amazing team managed to pull through and finish the given task. Throughout the entire process Sergio gave me updates as to what stage the car was in, which as a customer I very much appreciated. In the end we decided, if we were going to re-clear coat the car, why not give it a different color. I decided on a BRG (British Racing Green) to add to the heritage of the Jaguar, Sergio being the person he is said, “no problem, I’ll talk to my paint guy and get it done”. Upon delivery Sergio and his team at 3rd Gear Customs did a final prep and wipe down of the car and she looked better then I could imagine. This shop is hands down 10/10 the definition of a small business getting work done professionally and proficiency. I would recommend this shop and come again in the future if I ever have another project car I need work on.

Sergio runs a great shop! He was able to work with me on a budget and put out great work within that Budget. Id recommend him to anyone needing work done on any thing from a track car to a pristine show car. He is able to do high quality paint and body work, but is also able to just get you back on road looking 95% perfect for a very reasonable cost. Anytime I need work done, I know where I am going!

So this is my very first review. I have talked to many people about getting my 1964 Cadillac deville convertible painted back to it original color. I received my car back with an unbelievable paint job . Sal and his staff are on the ball and they will tell it to you straight. I am 100% happy with the way my car turned out and have also found a new friend I can recommend to all my buddies for body and paint work. Dont listen to misleading reviews. Sergio is amazing and takes pride in his work. He takes his time and charges a fair price. Some people price gouge him or expect unrealistic time frames for work. If you love your car and are patient enough to wait for quality, this is the place for you!

Owner kept stalling for time drawing me for more money and used my truck as his own. In all my truck was in his shop for almost 2 months and came out terrible not to mention he was using my truck as his own for haul some parts car he bought maybe if he spend more time on the paint instead of using it as his shop truck it MIGHT have come out okay.
