I would give 100 stars but the system only lets me give 5! All I can say is AMAZING! I had the Cake Girl make a 60th specialty cake for my coworker and they nailed it! The cake was absolutely amazingly awesome! Best cake decorators in Tampa! Also the cake tasted great, it was moist and soft. Everyone was in awe of this cake. If your looking for a specialty cake you absolutely absolutely absolutely need to let The Cake Girl do it for you. You won’t be disappointed, just look at the pictures I’ve uploaded! Absolutely one of the best cakes! The cake is light, filled With strawberry and had incredible flavor. The entire experience was great and perfectly detailed from start to finish. The staff took their time to figure out exactly what my wants and needs were to design this cake specifically for me. The Cake Girl baked a fabulous fantastic birthday cake for my boyfriends birthday! It was a replica of his Nimbus motorcycle and was without a doubt an exact replica. Our guests were awed! I am originally from the northeast and have been missing my bite sized cupcakes from baked by Melissa in NYC. So I did a search and found the cake girl. The cupcakes here are amazing. So fresh and moist. Great presentation and flavor. The size is perfect. Two bites and done. I love the concept of a bite sized cupcake so that you get to try different flavors. What a great idea to have a flavor rotation. It makes me want to keep coming back to try others.

A wonderful custom cake for my wifes birthday! She is an abstract artist who has a gluten intolerance, so they were extremely accomodating in the cake and decoration. It was a big hit! YUM! My wedding cake was delicious & all the brownies were devoured. There is an area for improvement with quoting and scheduling but they stepped up and did an amazing job! We were very lucky to have them, the cake was executed EXACTLY how I envisioned and on very short notice after cancelling our destination wedding.

The Cake Girl was a pleasure doing business with. They were very professional and friendly. I placed the order on 9/29 for an event on 10/9 and they did come through! The cake tasted great! Not overly sweet and very moist. I ordered a vanilla cake with bavarian cream in buttercream. Although the cake was over my $150 budget, they did work with me to see what changes we could make to lower the original price of $325.They lost a star from me because it is VERY pricey ($242) and the color of the cake was off from the color I requested. Other than that, it was a beautiful and delicious cake!When my husband went to pick up the cake, he ordered 4 cupcakes while in the shop and not 1 made it back! 😡 He said they were delicious!I would definitely recommend The Cake Girl. I ordered mini cupcakes 3 weeks in advance and did not see that the flavors changed weekly. When I picked up my order they were quick and efficient explaining all the new flavors.The cupcakes were a hit and no complaints about the flavor changes. They were all delicious! I ordered a small strawberry cake with bavarian cream to be delivered to my friend (I live in NYC) about a week or so before the date. Kristina was super responsive to my emails (even emailing me back quickly late in the evening) and very professional and courteous. I sent her a design and she copied it perfectly. It was delivered right on time. My friend absolutely loved it and said it tasted amazing. Weve been getting her birthday cakes from different places for the past 4 years and she said this was the best one yet. Im so pleased with my experience with The Cake Girl.

So, what can I say about The Cake Girl, but, “WOW!!!” We had 2 celebrations in the space of 2 weeks (one major birthday, and one major “Oh thank God this miserable year is over!”), for which The Cake Girl created 2 amazingly yummy cakes that also were so beautiful I almost didn’t want to even think about cutting into them. The carrot cake was amazing: moist, not cloyingly sweet, with big carrot shreds and nuts. Carrot cake is my favorite, and this one ruined me for all others. The chocolate on chocolate with colorful fondant decorations was also amazing, even for my chocolate favoring husband: the textures were like velvet and marshmallow and the colored polka dots were so poppable! (See pix.)Let’s see, what am I forgetting?? Oh, yeah, they were both GLUTEN-FREE!!! Since being diagnosed gluten intolerant about15 years ago, I’d given up on having any cake worth eating, unless I made it myself. So, yeah, my world has been improved. Thank you, The Cake Girl! 👍🏻🤗🎉

Pretty disappointing, saw these on DoorDash and paid $25 for 12 mini cupcakes (which I knew before I completed the order) but it was for 12 assorted cupcakes and the picture was 12 different cupcakes. I don’t like coconut but only saw 2 on the page that had coconut so I thought at the most I would have 2 didn’t like (I received 3 of the same coconut mini). I only got 5 different cupcakes and the rest were duplicates, I would have just ordered the 6 cupcakes if I would have known. They were good, I’m just really disappointed.

BEST CUPCAKES HANDS DOWN!!! The Cake Girl was very easy to do business with. Being from out of state (MS) and hosting a Bridal Shower in Tampa for my sister I had no idea where to start when it came to choosing a bakery. I did numerous Google & Facebook searches & read several reviews. I chose The Cake Girl is because of their mission statement and core values. Any business that takes time to think about these 2 things is a company that truly cares about all aspects of their business.

I hate to do it, but I must...for the next girl who wants a beautiful succulent/flower cake.0/5 stars, if I could. I submitted an inquiry on the Cake Girl website and waited for a response. 3 days later, I had received nothing so I called and was told to wait for an email. A day after, I received an email that quoted me at $140 and they assured me that they could do the succulent/flower cake I had sent photos of. After that, they never reached out to let me know when the cake would be ready. I had to send an email requesting what day and time I could pick it up. They told me 4PM on a Saturday. When I arrived at 4PM, they told me it was not ready. It was 4:45PM by the time I got the cake.The cake was too big for the box it was put in and it looked like a child had mixed icing and used their fingers to apply it. The Cake Girl cake looked absolutely nothing like the example photo I had sent them. It was an absolute embarrassment to present this to my girlfriend on her birthday.Communication - 0.Timeliness - 0. Went for our cake tasting yesterday for my daughters Sweet 16 and these are some of the best and most moist cakes weve tried. We also tried their mini cupcakes and they were scrumptious!!

Kristina and her staff do such amazing work that I cant wait for my next big occasion to get one of their beautiful cake creations. Their cake creations are as good or better than what you see on those cake decorating TV shows. I don’t even know where to begin! Their selection of mini cupcakes is phenomenal, and they are the perfect bite-sized treat that have a perfectly balanced flavor combination. 4 months agoI wandered in by accident, cupcake was soft and the frosting was light enough not to overwhelm the cake part but still provided just the right amount of sweetness and flavor.

I sought some gender reveal cupcakes in a very tight timeframe. They were so kind to accommodate me even though they were super busy at the time. The cupcakes were tasty and beautiful!

Nice new local business outing. The cutest little cupcakes you ever saw! We went to celebrate national ice cream day. The selection of icecreams is fairly small I think about 10 flavors. Its clear the bread and butter is these mini cupcakes. I have yet to try one saving them for later tonight. If they taste half as good as they look they will be worth buying again.Also the establishment was clean. In fact safe to say its the cleanest business in that electric shopping strip. The staff were friendly and available without being pushy.

Our mermaid themed cake was better than I could have imagined. The design was detailed, well executed and freshness and taste were awesome. I had several moms ask me where I got the cake - it was that good. I will definitely be using The Cake Girl again and as a small business owner, I am rooting for them to succeed. The Cake Girl made my daughters cake for the her wedding. They were amazing. The cake was delicious, moist and very tasty. The people there were easy to work with and gave great suggestions for cake flavors and size. They also did an amazing job creating the cake just like my daughter wanted it. It was perfect.

WOOOOW DEFINITELY WORTH IT!!I found them on a random search for a cake, I came in looking for a Jurassic park themed cake and showed them a picture. IT WAS THE EXACT REPLICA !!! I mean to the T. The flavor was great. The cake was very moist and the filling was perfect! They were super sweet and helpful and were so nice About me forgetting to pick up my cake 😅. It’s a little pricy BUT worth it all!!

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I recently paid almost $500 for a birthday cake for my sisters 60th birthday and it was embarrassing to serve this cake to our guests! It was dry, dense, flavorless (even though I ordered it PuertoRican style which is supposed to taste like almond and be very moist) and when we started cutting the cake, it fell apart. We could not get an actual slice of cake; and we tried cutting from different tiers. We basically served cake crumbs. I chose them after reading all the good reviews and I actually drove to the bakery to taste a sample. Well, what I got tasted nothing like the sample. Everybody can have a bad baking day so an apology and a refund would have sufficed. But when contacted, the owner was rude, unprofessional and basically told me I was lying and the cake was perfect. Avoid this place at all costs!

Lesson learned. Buyer beware.I sent 3 specific wish pictures for a large 2 tier (very girly gymnastics) custom cake and was given a Walmart quality red, white, and blue circus looking cake. Was promised a complete redo same day with delivery (as expected) and then I wasn’t happy with that cake either. It was delivered 2 hours late and was very sloppy, including MISSING the correct filling I ordered (which is the only reason we got the cake from here was for that specific filling) instead they used a nasty buttercream. Another Walmart-like quality mistake.Kirby asked how the cake was and I voiced my opinion with the product (Kirby said he’d look into it and provide some type of resolution). Didn’t hear back via text after I proved they were wrong. Never received any response. Showed up to the store a week later to AGAIN contact owner/manager for a resolution and I was greeted by Kirby of course with hostility, defensiveness, and anger, on top of unprofessionalism, as everyone else here has also been complaining of. I was also lied to about him trying to reach me and leaving me a voicemail. He didn’t. If he did, I surely wouldn’t have driven 1 hour away to hear the same resolution, right!?To top it off, Kirby also tried to use my innocent child against me saying “she said the cake was pretty.” She’s 6. She didn’t pay for it and she doesn’t pay attention to detail like an adult who’s paying for it. Whipped cream and sprinkles are pretty to her!I’ve heard every excuse from them:“They paid staff to stay late and redo the cake” or “they delivered it to me after hours” whatever. They still didn’t make a quality product and I wasn’t a happy customer. Period.Most of these reviews are probably fake and paid for as they try to scam you with a made-up partially legal agreement to shut you up and scare you away.They cry about being a small business yet They’re terrible to their customers. Would not recommend anything from this place. They need to be a little more humble and value their customers.Also, the smell of this bakery is awful. My daughter didn’t even want to eat her bday cake because she said it smelled and tasted bad like the smell of the bakery.They need to drop the anger and defensiveness because it’s a little bit suspicious that they make people sign a mock legal agreement so the customer won’t leave a bad (honest) review or dispute the charges. That tells me that they get A LOT of complaints, then.I’m sure Kirby will do what he’s done for all these other bad, but honest, reviews that made it past their horrible customer service (trying to scare people away). He will come on here and post dates and times of contact, names and addresses, etc.. really anything but to take responsibility and make their customers happy. Eventually, businesses like this don’t survive.**there’s nothing wrong with a cake from Walmart, but for over $250, this cake should’ve stood out more than a $50 Walmart cake and also tasted better.

I ordered a dozen of the Thanksgiving mini cupcakes and they were amazing. Family and friends were blown away by how fresh, tasty and attractive these treats were. Yes, perfect size. A taste of decadence without feeling like you have wallowed in it.. Was concerned about the temptation of leftovers in the house after the Big Day. Not a problem. Between what was consumed for dessert and what got split up between takeaways. . . .no problem.
