What a fun selection of desserts?!The team offered us a sample of a brownie when we walked in that was stellar so we ordered that after trying it.We ordered a Banana Cream doughnut, a Cherry Pie doughnut and some cheesecake. The ice cream flavors were unique too. We saw a Bourbon Orange flavor that sounds neat that we may have to wait til next time to try.
Our group started our Bachelorette evening here. The servers were so kind and made us feel welcome. The coffee and desserts we all ordered were the perfect way to start our time. & the macaroons were out of this world delish!! The atmosphere was so wildly fun for us! Perfect picture studio for us as we all were dressed for the occasion. Thank you guys!
Wanted to like it more. Employee wasnt particularly warm nor welcoming. $5 for small slices of cake. $8 for large slices of cake. Ordered 3 small and 1 large but charged a little extra on 2 of the 3 small slices. $32 for dessert is par for the area? Nice decor and pretty desserts. Just didnt really pan out as hoped.
First visit there. Although not what I would consider a traditional bakery, it was almost like a trip back to the 50s. In addition to exceptional-sounding cakes (mojito?) they also have home-made ice cream, an abundant coffee and tea collection with a variety of additions. In short, I loved the place! Another double espresso? Yes, please!!
I went late on Wednesday with my son and his friends to celebrate his 20th b-day. Environment was a bit low energy which i guess is okay. Staff was nice. Cake was ok but better when it reached room temperature. A little pricey at around $8/slice.
The donuts I ordered with my wife were good and they were also creative in terms of their flavor type (I believe one of them was creme brûlée if I remember correctly). However, the price that they charged per donut was way too much. I expect a premium price for better quality donuts but let’s not be too absurd.
Unfortunately the reviews for this place are old and not accurate. THEY DO NOT SELL DONUT ICECREAM CONES! They also don’t sell the black charcoal ice cream. Their selection is very small and it’s a high price. We ordered two different flavors of ice cream and paid 5x what you could buy better ice cream for at the grocery store. We also ordered the pumpkin cheesecake. It tasted very good but you get a sliver size piece for $8. The price is way too high for what you get. Now on to the donuts. We got a creme brûlée donut and a salted caramel. They were mediocre nothing to rave about. For $3.50 each they should’ve been really tasty. The caramel one was a glazed donut with some caramel on it and some salt. Really had no flavor. I think this place would be great for their cakes but for the price it’s not worth the drive and cost for us. Unfortunately we were disappointed. Don’t read the old reviews…they aren’t like that anymore.
Delightful, decadent sugary treats of all kinds can be found here for those with a sweet tooth. Such a fun and whimsical environment to sit and enjoy an coffee date or after school treat with the kiddos.Enjoyed the creme brulee donut and red velvet of goodness. Kate loved all the fun decor around the bakery. Excited to see how the decorate for the different holidays!Want to try the restaurant next door. I highly recommend and we will be back.
Horrible experienceDont buy any cakes here unless you like frozen cakes. No fresh bake here! Only frozen. Go to publix instead. At least theyre fresh, not frozen and certain not as expensive
I am quite a Donut enthusiast. I will not pass up a donut ever, but there are definitely ones I will avoid. These are by far THE BEST donuts I have ever had... from the flavors, to the soft, perfect texture to the icing... AMAZING!! We will make the drive from Lakewood Ranch again and again... No doubt!
This is the review for their banana toffee cake. It was highly recommended by the employee there. This was the most stale cake I’ve ever paid $10 with tip for. It tasted like it had been outside for 5 days and then they put it in the fridge. DO NOT GET THIS CAKE.UPDATE 11-3-2020: Still 1 star because Dough responded to this review and I emailed them. They never responded back (over a week) and they never wanted to make it right. Whoever is in charge of their marketing, is not doing a great job.UPDATE 11-4-2020: Im adding 2 stars because they got back to my email. Will add a new review of their other products.
We live in Riverview and made a special trip just for these AMAZING doughnuts & cupcakes. My husband is a huge Star Wars fan. This was so awesome to surprise my husband & son with such yummy detailed goodness! The Yoda was my favorite with a pistachio filling. Cant wait to see what they come up with on May the Fourth next year!A++
This place is like a candy shop for adults and kids alike, and we really love how they are open late, and still the kind of place that will let you in with 3 minutes before closing and tell you to take your time picking out your Donuts. You can taste the fresh ingredients in the Donuts, you can tell they are not some pre-made half-baked dough rolls, they are genuine deep fried Donuts, and worth every penny, and they are surprisingly inexpensive! $1.50 for a Donut is only .40 cents more than Dunkin Donuts but its the real deal! I highly recommend taking the family out for a sweet treat to Dough, or just secretly stop there on your way home from work and throw out the evidence lol but its a great place, great atmosphere, and really great treats!!! 2 thumbs up and 10 pounds heavier lol but totally worth it!
Donuts are overpriced and taste awful. I’ve had them twice and both times the donuts were definitely NOT worth it. Duck donuts, Dunkin’, and hell even Starbucks has better donuts. Disappointing…
Amazing desserts at this place with a really cute atmosphere. I bought a slice of the funfetti cake and thought it would be okay. But when I ate it, it was one of the best cakes Ive ever tasted. I hope the can ship cakes, cause I want one for my birthday. This place is amazing.
If you are ever going to splurge on a gourmet doughnut, cupcake, or slice of cake do it at Dough. You will not be disappointed 😋
After eating at Datz restaurant next door, I brought my 11 year old daughter here for a real treat. We have been. To places similar to this in the past and I know its a smile on any kids face when they see the delectable selection inside. Not on the menu, but they offered to make was a mocha. The syrup was mostly at the bottom but it was not bad overall. I ordered a half covered in chocolate macaroon and my daughter ordered a huge peanut butter brownie which she took. Half home for later.I was surprised with styrofoam plates for customers eating inside. Bit overall a fun place not to miss.
Donuts are great and they have a great selection. I had three donuts, glazed, Oreo and a vanilla sprinkle and ended up paying over 9 dollars. Too pricey
Donuts were creative and excellent. A wide selection of cakes and other desserts as well.
I was really excited to try Dough after reviewing their Instagram and seeing they have actual pastry chefs that work there- a rare treat in Tampa. However, as soon as I walked in I spotted a cake in the front counter that I recognized as a Sysco cake (the hotel I worked at for 5 years bought in the same one). It made me question the level of confidence they have in their pastry chefs if they don’t trust them to make a simple chocolate cake! I had a look around at all the items. Their croissants looked like hamburger buns.... maybe they buy them from Winn Dixie.... I got an apple fritter. A very simple item. It was an amazing price! However, it was literally burnt on the bottom. I’m talking, black and charred spots. There was maybe 1/2 a tablespoon of apple in the whole thing, and it was incredibly dry and flavorless. I threw it out after biting into the burnt part. And that was the day I lost all confidence in the Tampa food scene. You can look great on the outside, but please try to have something solid to back that up.
We have been here a couple times, the first time was pre-covid and no complaints. But now as of our last trip (Friday evening around 8pm), I am really disappointed. The staff decided that Friday right before the rush was a good time to clean all the cases. You know when your rush is coming, so maybe dont clean right as thats happening? We walked in to find no dessert options in the cases, and as we were about to walk out an employee finally greeted us, albeit less than cheerfully. When my husband said it looks like youre out of everything they said they were cleaning, but when you have no menu how are we supposed to know what we want? We each ordered a brownie and left feeling irritated that we drove an hour for dessert just to feel lost in the restaurant. We probably wont be returning anytime soon, not sure if management changed or what but disappointing. According to many other reviews, the friendliness has been an issue time and time again with this place in the last few months. Time for a change!
Went in during the week after lunch time, so it was pretty quiet. Service was good. Donuts were tasty as well. Dough is similar to Dunkin’ Donuts dough, but the flavors were really good. Kids and adults enjoyed the donuts; especially cookies snd cram and strawberry.
I was disappointed today with the service and food. I went with a friend to have a desserts night out. I ordered a carrot cheese cake. First, the person who took our order was not in her best mood and second and more disappointing was that the carrot cheese cake that I ordered was frozen. I couldn’t even eat it with the spoon. When I asked about it to the person she just said we keep them in a cold place just give it some minutes. It was unappealing to eat a frozen dessert and it didn’t took some minutes to defrost. I understand if they are cold but the cake was hard like a rock. Not a great experience.
My family really liked this place. The donuts were really good!
Doughs is an awesome place to get your sweet tooth fix. As well as the pizza is delicious. The customer service is great also. Trust me, you cant go wrong with Dough.
Awe so sweet 💕 worth the drive from Wesley Chapel!
Went in at 7pm for desert. Got a chocolate peanut butter cupcake. It cost $5 and it was so hard and dry. Service was fine.
The cakes are stale and served cold out of a refrigerated cooler. They were dried out and tasteless. The server behind the counter was very rude to customers who were confused trying to form a line inside the front door area. Rather than being nasty to customers, maybe the management should figure out a way to mark that congested area better so customers understand the direction to form a queue. Overall terrible experience. I will not return and certainly won’t recommend to anyone. There are far better bakeries in South Tampa with friendlier customer service.
Great drinks, shakes, and doughnuts. Lovely atmosphere.
It looks better than it taste trust me.
Great place to stop for dessert and coffee! Love the chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes!! Great service always by Victoria, Tina, and Gabby!!
The whole family found something to love! This place has a really colorful aesthetic with lovely people. The donuts were really delicious! They dough itself really set them apart, and the variety of flavors was surprising. These donuts get sticky thumbs up from this family!
Fruity pebble donut is fireeee!
Very cute and quaint. The decor has a nice indie and unique feel to it. The staff was also nice. We ordered a butterbeer latte and bacon latte. Both were great! My bacon latte even had bacon bits on the bottom! We also got their signature creme brulee doughnut with Boston cream filling, fruity pebble doughnut, and a sausage pretzel. Everything was amazing!P.S. you should really try the creme brulee doughnut!
Very disappointing experience. The cheesecake slice we ordered was completely frozen still, we couldn’t even eat it. The cupcake we ordered didn’t taste good, as it was so overly sugary it was just unbearable so we threw away most of it. The donuts were very average, tasted like what I’d expect at a Dunkin. And honestly, this place doesn’t look as cool as we thought it would look inside, it was a real let down from the online pictures (and the tables just felt dirty and sticky). Definitely won’t be returning.
Might be the best brownie Ive ever had. Never had a bad item from here. Worth a splurge for sure
First time visiting. Got some sweets for the family and I and a milk. When we sat down I took a gulp of the milk before giving it to my daughter and almost spit it right out. The milk was sour, when I glanced at the date it was expired. I gave it to the girl at the counter and I grabbed another one. She told me she would let a manager know. At no point did a manager come to apologize nor did I see an attempt other than mine of removing the expired milk from the cooler.
When we walked in we didn’t get a smile a welcome or a hello. All we got was a snotty lady telling us to put a mask on. Ow on to the food .Got a dozen, Spent 30 bucks. All of the donuts where dry. The bread part of donuts had no flavor With so many good reviews I’m convinced Tampa people have no idea what a good bakery is. Terrible! I feel like I got ripped off
I cant rave enough about the Sweet Pig. Vanilla cake donut with maple icing and chopped up bacon as a topping. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch one was great too. I might have to try some of the others or even their donut sundae next time around. Great place to bring a kid too. They have a make your own donut selection that was really fun for her to make decisions from to have her donut custom made.
UH, this place doesn’t deserve anything less than 5 stars. I bought 1 donut, 1 cupcake and some cake pops and macarons yesterday and I kid you not I ate them all and don’t regret it a bit because it was worth it. They have so many options and it’s the best pastry place I’ve visited tbh. I would definitely come back & refer to friends. A bit pricy but worth every dollar lmao.
Just went and got my daughter a cake pop and cookie after preschool. Driving away, I asked her how the cake pop was and she said “disgusting.” I took a bite myself and it was absolutely foul. They should not be selling those and whoever makes them needs a new recipe. As for the cookie, it broke into 6 pieces on the short walk to the car.
The doughnuts were very flavorful. Cute little shop.
Loud and flashy decor do not make up for the sad donuts. Tastes like old sliced white bread with sugar topping. The cake donuts were ok. Not worth the cals i’m afraid. Also the cashier was out of sorts and screwed up my 4 donut order.
Fantastic food. Great service. Would recommend the loyalty program. Saved me $10 on my first purchase.
Delicious and Delightful. Service was great. Made me a customer latte. Best donuts I have had... dough in glazed was outstanding. Decor was fun. Will be back.
Always had great food! I’m so sad it looks like they did away with the Roasted Portobello Bougie Pizza. It was so delicious I’d get it delivered weekly. Shakes and doughnuts are great and they’re super nice.
Customer service is great. Donuts are nothing special. Look better than the taste
Doughnuts are great!! Try the turtle or the fruity pebbles. Red velvet cheesecake is also a great choice!!
I have celiac‘s disease which means that I can’t eat gluten so when I saw that this establishment had a gluten friendly Keylime pie I thought I’d try it. It tasted pretty good and because I don’t often get desserts from restaurants I was glad to have it but this morning I woke up with hives. I have not eat gluten in the past year so I know that it is this shop. I tried to contact Dough to ask about their pie after having eaten it and getting a reaction, but instead of picking up the phone all I got was that their answering machine was full. I am fine with eating food from contaminated kitchens, I often get food from Domino’s (their gluten-free pizza which comes from a contaminated kitchen) and I am not noticeably affected by this. However eating the pie from Dough has already caused me an allergic reaction 12 hours later. I only get this reaction when something contains gluten, this establishment needs to take “gluten-friendly” out of the description.
Extremely unprofessional staff. waited excessively for the 2 employees to have a personal conversation while on their cell phones.
Love, love Doughs cookies, cakes, bars, and especially their berry filled croissants😋💕
Absolutely amazing. Customer service is great. Easily one of the top three donuts Ive ever had in my life. Cant wait to come back and try more tasty treats.
The ice cream and cupcakes were good but the doughnut was really dry and brownie was very hard, we ended up throwing them away after a few attempted bites.
My biggest issue with Dough is the lack of consistency. Sometimes you will get a dense, fudgey brownie and sometimes you will get a brownie that is super cake-like. Sometimes the cookies are soft, sometimes they are almost over baked. If you hit Dough on a good day, the sweets are spot on. The Magic Bar and brownies are my favorites IF they are done right. Only product that seems to be consistent here is the doughnuts. I am not a doughnut fan, but my husband is and loves them.
The doughnuts are divine! They have a little something sweet for every taste.
I love this place eating a monster brownie right now 😋😋
Soo good!!! there is so much to try, but i personally cannot get enough of their buttercream brownies. I am here so often its embarrassing lol. I cant eat dessert from anywhere else now, Dough has us spoiled. the desserts are huge so the value for the price is incredible. their ice cream is always great and they have such creative flavors. ive never met an unfriendly worker and theyre always quick to assist. i cant recommend this place enough!
Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. looking forward to coming back with my relatives. makes me feel like i am back in tucson.
Big fan, wish they’d open they’re Uber eats menu up, every-time I find something I like (cookie dough cupcakes and cookie sammie) I can’t order it again.
Donuts? Delivered? OMG - YES!!! They were so good!
Stopped in after visiting Datz for something sweet. Not sure if the mops are broken or cleaning crew quit but first impression my wife and I had was “This place is dirty.” Stood at the counter for a bit looking over the options without even a greeting from either of the guys behind the counter. Pastries were out of order, not lined up with their signs written on the glass. Finally decided on a couple things and when I looked up I was finally greeted with a “Whaddya want?” Not sure why I didn’t walk at that point but I felt committed. I ordered a few items and when over to the counter, was given the total, and after handing my card over, had the rotating screen tossed around for me to sign. Before I even had a chance to look at the screen the guy was gone. Didn’t notice until I got home how dirty the actual carry out box was (see picture). Flavor on the donuts is average to a bit stale.Overall experience was very poor. Personality goes a long way in the service industry. You may want to consider one of the better options around Tampa for pastry if you’re in the mood. I’ll be steering clear from Dough until they get this place in order.
If you run out of a popular product, let people know so they can edit thier order or receive a refund. because I do not order lattes and stuff from here because its like everywhere else. Its unique and I like it.I dont drink bitter lattes and I dont want plain donuts.Thats boring and no fun. the whole reason to eat here is to get the uniqueness of it.
The staff is always friendly and the variety, also the food is good!
I’ve been coming here for years since I first moved to Tampa and haven’t had a problem. Tonight I walked in and was completely ignored by 4 employees. Three of which made direct eye contact with me and continued their non-work related conversations. One of them actually came out of the back and saw me, turned around and walked away. My bf decided to say hello? After 5 minutes of waiting. They responded with even more hostility and zero sense of urgency . Unacceptable customer service and truly just disrespectful.
Very good
Great fresh baked goods and doughnuts, super friendly and staff! Ask for Victoria!!
Great disappointment. I came here for a mom daughter date and was nothing as expected. This place is nothing special, the doughnuts are old, the macarons I ordered were old as well or had been taken out of the freezer. The filling of the macarons was more like cement and tasted like cheap syrup had been used. The hot cocoa was tasteless. I could not eat anything. Threw everything in the trash, didn’t say anything and just left. My daughter ate her doughnut but said it was not good. The cashier was non customer oriented at all, she seemed very annoyed. Never coming back, and I do not recommend it. Do yourself a favor and go eat doughnuts somewhere else, any doughnut store chain is wayyyy better than this.
