Not reviewing this location but the overall quality of the product is terrible. We bought several pieces of furniture, notably the urban sectional in a performace fabric. The fabric IS NOT performance. Do not waste your money if you need something to withstand daily living, we dont have children and after 1 year it looks like trash. Customer service is unhelpful and offers nothing but a sorry. They do not stand behind their product.

Really helpful staff, especially Jennifer. Just expect a delay in delivery for most options that are not ready to ship due to nationwide logistics delays. I ended up getting my sofa elsewhere but they are still a great space.Plentiful parking at the garage across the road.

Fake leather couches. I bought the Haven sectional in Cognac stetson leather (their site claims highest quality top grain leather). 6 months after delivery with monthly conditioning. Shipping tape got stuck but peeling it off caused the leather to peel. CS says real leather peels and cracks without maintenance. Real leather does not peel. Spend your hard earned thousands else where.

I’ve had a WONDERFUL experience working with Vicky at West Elm in Tampa. She has gone above and beyond in helping place my orders, finding me in stock items that appear to be out of stock or back ordered, keeping me up to date with tracking details on my back ordered items, finding me the best deals and more! Vicky has worked hard to get our items delivered quickly and is always available to help me find a work around/solution if something has been delayed longer than intended due to COVID. Outside of a great customer experience, all the furniture is excellent quality and thoughtfully made. Plus if anything arrives with a defect, they are so quick to fix it and make the process very easy (this goes for Pottery Barn too - their sister store, it only happened with two items). Absolutely love shopping here :)

Yesterday I was walking in to shop at West Elm in Tampa. The staff asked me to put on a mask, but I explained that I have a disability. They then told me to leave the store. I explained my disability again and they continued to tell me to get out of the store. I then exclaimed that Florida has no law mandating mask wearing and that it is voluntary. They then told me that it is a rule for West Elm Corporate. If West Elm is operating in Florida, shouldnt the Florida stores abide by the law of the land? I feel totally judged about my disability...even shamed by the store staff at West Elm. I had just been shopping at International Plaza Mall where every store allowed me to shop without a mask. After spending $10K in West Elm stores over the past 2 years for all my vacation rentals, I would expect to be treated better. But after this event, I will no longer buy anything here. Another tidbit of info...I was in Miami 2 weeks ago and shopped at the West Elm store there...and was never required to wear a mask. I encourage everyone to take your business elsewhere. Dont Support any of there sister stores, like Pottery Barn, etc...

I called to inquire about a replacement piece for a pretty expensive office chair. I was told that since it had been more than a year there is nothing they could do. Mind you, they have replacement pieces just won’t help since it was purchased more than a year ago.

If you can help it, dont buy furniture from here or Williams Sonoma that has to be delivered-esp if its leather. It will take forever to get there. The delivery people will show up whenever they feel like it, even 4 hours early. And once the furniture gets there it almost always has imperfections and having to ask for an exchange only to go through the whole process again and receive another defected one... Youd think that you were paying good money for quality furniture but youre really not. Its just up styled furniture..

Ordered a table on 11/10/2020 promised for deliver in 2-3 weeks. Still awaiting delivery(12/22/2020) now maybe for January??? Do not believe any time frame for expected dates of arrival for anything. They have no idea what is going on. (The further along the chain you go to get an answer the less they listen and the more incompetent the people become in addressing the situation.). Do not order from West Elm!

Horrible delivery time. We ordered a concrete table and it has been 3 months and it still has not been delivered. Every time we called they said they are waiting for this or that parts. Seriously, you can’t deliver or have all the parts in 3 months, you should not be selling it. Scam if u asked me because they charged you for 3+ months and not delivering anything. I heard I am not an isolated case. Figure out u can do better somewhere.Update 12/30They finally delivered it but the table was cracked. So we have to wait for another 2 weeks for a new one.Update 1/18They redelivered and finally got it right. So after 5 months, we finally have the table. Not once they called us to tell us about the delay or any compensation for the delay. We just got an unfriendly email. So that’s the customer service you get from this luxury furniture place.Overall, 0 stars if I can give none

THE WORST COMPANY TO BUY FURNITURE EVER! If I could give less than one star I would. I bought a dining table and two accent chairs on December 1st for my new office, at the time of purchase it said that they are in stock and ready to be delivered in two weeks. Today January 15 and I have not received delivery, in the online system it says that they already made the delivery of the chairs, which I have not received, I went to the store in Hyde Park in Tampa and they told me that apparently there was an error in the system, the dining table was supposedly ready to be delivered and I just received the order it was canceled. It is not fair that after a month and a half waiting for delivery I find myself in this situation. The charges for the purchase price were made to the card and I have not received the delivery yet. Too disappointed with the purchase and with the way they handle customer service, The worst of the worse. I hope other people have a better experience, for my part I do not recommend them!

Really bad customer service...and most of their cool products take like 6 to 12 months to receive. The people are kinda rude here. I will never shop here again. And stop playing the role of mask police! This is Florida. Mask are not mandated here. Masks are voluntary. Maybe West Elm needs to abide by Florida Laws. Or get OUT of FLORIDA!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The employees that work here are rude and miserable.I came here with a friend on Halloween and a younger brunette lady said to a male colleague, “Why are these two in here? They shouldn’t even be here”All we were doing was minding our business walking around and the store wasn’t even busy. As we walked out I noticed almost all of the workers staring at us talking bad. I was at West Elm yesterday and witnessed the store staff being very rude to another customer with a disability. The person was not able to wear a mask because of a disability. Hearing this I followed him out of the store to tell him I was so sorry he had been treated so bad. I asked if he could share his disability with me. He told me about being held hostage when he was in his teens and tortured through suffocation. Tears welled up in my eyes as he told his life story. My question to West Elm is this...why do you treat people with disabilities so badly? Do you know that you cant always see what people are struggling with? There is no excuse for this rabid discrimination of people who have disabilities. I will never shop at West Elm again and I encourage everyone else to take their business elsewhere. I might add that the state of Florida does not mandate mask wearing. It is voluntary. The gentleman told me that he had just been shopping at International Plaza and every store recognized his disability and let him shop without a mask. Maybe West Elm needs to align with the laws of Florida and stop promoting their tyranny against people less fortunate.

Very poor customer service. Delivery date has been postponed multiple times. Customer service associates are unaware of the cause of the issues. Charges have posted on my card without a scheduled delivery date or update to the online order status. Customer service is unable to rectify the issue. Please dont shop here.

I never EVER leave reviews, especially bad reviews, but because of how horrible my experience with West Elm has been, I feel like I have to. I ordered the Haven sectional and chair in June, three months ago. Due to a few customizations (depth and material) my original “estimated delivery” date was July 27th - August 10th. I knew my order would take a little bit longer, which I was okay with because I didn’t move into my place until later that month. During the month of July, my delivery date was pushed back TWICE, and I was told (the multiple times I called) it was due to COVID. Fast forward to mid September, they have only delivered part of my order, the Haven chair and half of my sectional. Upon delivery, I noticed there was a piece of metal sticking out from the armrest of the chair, and the material on the back of the sectional looks old and worn. Keep in mind, I have paid over $3000 for these pieces!! So, not only have I had to wait over TWO months (without a couch at my new place), but the items were delivered damaged and in unacceptable conditions. I am now waiting to hear back from a Customer Care representative (it’s been 5 days since I made the complaint) to see how they’re going to fix or compensate for these issues. If an agreement is not reached I will be requesting for full refund and I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN!

Excellent first experience with West Elm. Not only did the Tampa location have the side table I was looking for (which was back ordered online), the sales representative coordinated to get a secondary side table sent to my location before I even finished shopping! When I noticed a price difference on a duvet cover, they ensured I received the correct price and honored the Labor Day sale for my item. The gentleman loading the nightstands into my car even went as far as dismantling the legs and providing me with the star key to resemble at home when it didn’t fit properly in my car.I was blown away by not only the quality of products offered but also the quality of customer service I received. I will be back very soon!

I like this store for their design ideas. With a warm cup of Buddy Brew from across the way in tote I’ll walk in and look, it’s relaxing for me. I bought a floor model couch last year, beautiful style (I believe it’s called the Andes). I’m not a softy so if an employee is having a bad day or I’m perceiving their attitude as rude I’m not affected by it. I’ve worked in retail, and not everyone’s perfect. Yes we all love great customer service but I’m not going to let one employee’s non-smiley face ruin my day. As long as I get my sofa and my order is processed I’m happy as a clam. People need to chill. I’m knocking off a star because I feel the prices are a tad much for the quality. Still love the store though.

Buy anywhere else but here. Ordered a sectional on February 15th in the store. Was told it would be 7 weeks for it to get delivered (ridiculous but whatever). 2 days before it is set to be delivered the order updates and says it will be delivered 2 months later. So back and forth with robot customer service associates and the story we get is they can not locate the couch. Multiple calls and hours waiting on hold and we check our order status and it is canceled. Call customer service and fool that answered has nothing but excuses. The worst customer service experience ever.

Every single time I go into this store, the employees do not greet you or even acknowledge you - and this is even after making eye contact. And every single time, the store has not even been busy. I worked retail for 2 years, and I found that even a simple hello to customers is usually enough that they feel welcome in the store. Its not a difficult concept.

This is a furniture and design center. They have some amazing and unique pieces, decorations and furniture. You can find anything from small candles to large couches. We love to go in every few weeks and see whats new. The service is meh. Hardly ever are we greeted or offered assistance or told about specials and sales they can be having. That makes the experience challenging.

My first and last experience with West Elm. I ordered two items on the website and didt receive my 15% off first time customer coupon as stated on the website. I called customer service and got no help. Sorry, theres nothing I can do was the exact quote. Both items were in stock at the time I placed the order. THREE days later I received an email stating one of the items was back ordered for FIVE months. When I tried to cancel the backordered item on the website there was no way to do so. I called customer service and after staying on hold, my call was dropped. I did get through and did cancel the backordered item. What a waste of my time and energy. Not happy with West Elm at all

I went here looking for for two specific candle holders. I asked one women who worked there where I could find “clear glass cylinder shaped candle holders”. She looked at me like I had three heads and told me she had no I what the words I was saying meant. We went round and round and I eventually gave up, she couldn’t figure out what a glass cylinder candle holder was. It was obvious she couldn’t be bothered to help. Ended up walking by three other employees in my search, made eye contact with each one, no one acknowledged me or my boyfriend. One employee straight up stood next to my boyfriend and I and heard us talking about what we were looking for, never offered to help.The customer service is just terrible here. I’ll stick to buying my items online.

Loved this place till now...went there Sunday to look at couches and spoke to a young lady there on a couch I had my eye on. The couch was on sale for $1330 plus tax, so it made me want it even more! Told her I’ll be back Tuesday, I have to make sure the measurements are ok before I get it. She told me she’s out of the office from 11-2 because she’s a interior designer... I called at 2:45 they told me she will be back from lunch in 15min. So I called back again in 30min and spoke to someone else. So the person I was speaking to on the phone said I can fill out a credit card and the first 12 months would be zero percent interest. I ended up filling the credit app they said they will let me know within 7-10 business days. When I called the store back to see what’s going on why it didn’t go through (my credit score is very high) they told me because my credit is on lock and I would have to unlock it. They told me I can come n and Fill out another app which will ding my credit score again... I said no I’ll wait till it comes in and ask them if they would honor the price still and they said no. Managment said they have a 20% off coupon but that coupon may or may not work bout the time my card comes in...Now what really pisses me off is told the lady that I have to go home n do measurements and I’ll be back Tuesday but the sale is valid until Tuesday! So why didn’t she tell me that from the get go? Why can’t management honor the price? She knew I was coming back and failed to tell me the sale won’t be valid at that time? They drop the ball and should honor their pricing. So not only I didn’t get a couch from them I got my credit ding for no reason! Ended up buying my couch from somewhere else. As the other reviews stated management is very bad and surprisingly this store hasn’t shut down. Credit card will get canceled when it comes in and this place lost another customer (not like that care). Hopefully corporate will see this

Excellent customer service from day one. We have been coming here since they opened in s tampa during and after we built our house. Michael Morabito in particular has been extremely helpful as a designer and also as the assistant manager. She has gone out of her way to be helpful and accommodating with a lovely smile. My mom was excited to visit West Elm after moving to Central Florida but to her dismay the associates made her feel very unwelcome. Nobody offered her any assistance when the store was not even busy. My dad felt so uncomfortable he needed to leave the store. Now my mom is very disappointed and will never go back. I dont know if its because of discrimination due to her being a minority (Asian) or if the employees just do not know the basics of customer service.

The store manager not accommodating when price on bed wrong . After buying bed I felt so unhappy with service, I tried to cancel order . Told to call back in 24 hrs. because order in production . I am now on second hold of next day trying to get help! First operator told me he could not cancel today ! After I was told to call back today.
