I went to three different stores today looking to buy a mattress. The stores I went before I Matress Firm Central Tampa were terrible. Poor customer service! I went to bed pros in south tampa and the first thing the seller did was to point me out to the affordable mattresses (in his words good for college students). I mean... Know your customer! Sell your product properly.When I arrived at mattress firm, first thing Nick did was to ask many questions to understand my needs. He clarified all my questions and after 30 mins I was done shopping. I got the mattress I needed and I was pleased with the service provided. I highly recommend this store!

I would like to review the service we received today at this location, since I was so pleased and happy with the customer service I received.Airan and Jorge were extremely helpful while educating my mother and me with the many differences and product specifications available at the store. They took their time to make sure my mother tried the beds and got familiar with the bed remotes. They absolutely took excellent care of her. I needed a box spring for a client on very short notice. I called the store and Nick confirmed that they had exactly what I needed. He emailed me a link where I could pay online so my movers could simply swing by and get it on the truck, which took under 5 minutes. Perfect transaction.

We purchased a Tempur-Pedic luxe breeze mattress from here and the day of our purchase we spoke with Aaron. During our conversation purchase he told us that they would price match up to 120 nights. At the time of the purchase Tempur-Pedic was offering the $300 free accessories. But, during our conversation when Aaron told us about the price match, I asked him with my husband right there, if I found the price lower elsewhere even though we get the $300 in accessories now, would the price still be honored if it went down. We were told yes! As long as it’s within 120 days and all we need to do is bring in the proof to show the lower price and Aaron even told us to specifically watch for Labor Day sales because he was pretty certain the mattress would be less. Well, we did that because now the mattress is $300 less and we were told that It won’t be honored because we received the $300 in accessories. But that’s not what we were told and I even asked about this promotion at the time. So instead of honoring what was said, they choose to argue with me as the customer instead of honoring what we were told. They said they can’t confirm if Aaron said that because he no longer works there, so basically I feel like they are calling me a liar. I wouldn’t lie about this and my husband and I both work in sales and this is NOT how you handle business. You never make a customer feel bad or call them a liar and especially don’t honor what was told only because somebody no longer works there? That makes zero sense. My husband has this kind of stuff happen all of the time at his job and they never have an issue with taking care of the customer first. Because of this experience, we will never purchase again from this dishonest company. Too many other competitors out there who I’m sure would appreciate our business and not make us feel bad about asking for what we were told. Our experience with Aaron was great but the rest of team, not so much. Thinking we might just return the mattress anyways and purchase elsewhere for the cheaper price since we just purchased a few weeks ago and are still within our 120 nights trial. So this is why I’m giving 1 star because I do not like feeling like somebody is calling me a liar and I do not like dishonesty, you definitely should always put your customers first, I mean that is how you are able to stay open is because of customers after all.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. Bad customer service. Mattress Firm sold me a “clearance” model that I discovered actually means USED! I canceled the delivery one day after the sale and purchased a NEW model that was priced much lower. Therefore, they owe me a significant refund. It has been almost 4 weeks and I still have not received the refund. Customer service says I need to wait until delivery of the new, lower-priced mattress before they will provide the refund. This policy is corrupt. They have been holding almost $300 (refund amount) for one month that has been charged to my credit card. But of course, I need to pay the card!!!! Very corrupt business practices. Please find a different place to buy a mattress. This company should be selling used cars!!! Good luck!
