Cannot express our experience in better terms of if I could give 10 stars, I would.Was on I-26 on Friday June 6, 2019 (my 10 year wedding anniversary) with my wife heading out of Charleston. Hit a truck tie down in the road during a rainstorm which locked our brakes up on the interstate. Long story short, got to XperTECH at 5:48 pm right before the closing time. The guy ended up staying, diagnosing what happened, fixing the car, and we were on our way in an hour and a half. Ended up missing supper to ensure we were taken care of. I don’t remember his name as it’s been a bit since it happened, but he could have charged us thousands and we would have had no choice. Instead of gouging us, he only charged us $20 bucks for everything. I know his face though and next time I am in Summerville SC I am buying this man a steak dinner. I could not be happier! My car was here for over a month, and wasn’t touched AT ALL. I got a battery diagnostic from AAA before I towed it to XPERT nothing was wrong with my battery it was my engine. I came to XPERT for a timing cover gasket repair, and it was never fixed the month it was there. When I came to pick up my car they couldn’t even find my keys. Also, they had to jump my car to bring it to the front so I could take it. Once he handed me my keys I got in my car and it wouldn’t start. That wasn’t a problem before, my battery is less than a year old. Now the person who has my car says I need a brand new battery. I will be calling Tuesday morning to speak with someone about this since Friday they left me on hold for 20 mins before I hung up.

They put an engine in for me a few years back. Great price, great customer service, friendly staff. If one things for certain and two things for sure and I would never return back to the place simply because of the white mechanic with the gray & missing teeth in his mouth.The entire time I’m trying to tell what needs to be done to my vehicle he’s trying to talk over me then down to me not at me, his tonality was completely trash, his delivery and arrogance was extremely annoying and on this Black history month what I will not do is allow that to happen. When I drove into the parking lot at XperTECH, the parking lot was so full I had no where to park. I called inside the office and the gentleman that answered the phone came right out to meet me, saw what my tire needed air took care of it right then. They were super busy but he took the time to take care of it so quickly! I’m very thankful and I will definitely go back for future business!

Expertech mechanics are honest, hard-working and good at their jobs. They always give you more than you expect. And they are always inspecting things that may have slipped your mind. Things that you forgot about. That makes me feel confident in their work.

I had a feeling I needed 4x new axle seals on my 4Runner. They confirmed this and Thomas the service manager scheduled this and went on to say that Toyota recommends changing the axles. I agreed. Jami the owner called well after hours and said that the axle replacement was overly aggressive, but said I should get a rebuilt differential. Growing more puzzled, I agreed. I called the next day to confirm this with the manager as they have internal communication problems at this place. Thomas was getting ready to start on the seals, the axles AND the differential at a whopping $2700 (included needed valve cover gaskets). I put the brakes on this plan and said to just replace the seals and see how it goes. They seemed to lose interest in the car at this point and many ready today promises (and two weeks) came and went, citing staffing problems and your mechanic quit. They were only able to replace one seal (which was still leaking afterwards) I admit that the job was complicated by alot of rust, but the 4 seals and the vc gaskets ended up being replaced elsewhere with no mention of any other needed repairs and the car is running fine and not leaking anywhere.

Where else do you see that?They also dont try to sell you everything like other shops. They specifically check out what the issue is that brought you in.They get to your vehicle quickly and do a full courtesy inspection.They also have real good deals on services also. This is the best automotive shop i’ve ever been too and refuse to take my vehicles anywhere else . if y’all anit going to xpertech might as well throw ya whole car away and that’s on period . (ps they also have a very cute dog)

This place should be called RookieTECH. After spending a thousand plus dollars on service that was not performed, I decided to express my disappointment. I dont know how this place is still in business. Had a truck that had misfires and payed $500 to get plugs replaced. Then had to take it back cause the problem continued. Was told by a tech were the plugs ever changed?. Really!?! Apparently not, cause why would you ask if you guys supposedly did replace them. Was then told a plug was cracked, so I thought the problem was resolved. NOPE. Had to take it back! After another $500 in BS service the problem still has not been resolved. Oh I forgot to mention they keep you waiting for days without any calls/updates. Unless you just need an oil change Id stay away from this shop!

THEY ARE NOT EXPERTS. $3,222 and 45 days later, I was given a truck that broke down 10 minutes after leaving their lot and returning my rental car on one of the busiest weekends in this area. They had the nerve to say, “We never drove the car.” How do you take that many days to supposedly repair a vehicle and not drive it to make sure it works properly? Their excuse was that there was no gas in the truck. Mind you, my gas gages worked before I gave them my vehicle and was still working. When that excuse didn’t work, it became a circus with all types of excuses. In addition to a water pump being replaced, I gave them the job to complete repairs from a recent car accident where I was hit from behind. Instead of replacing the under frame they welded it. This was revealed after I took my truck to Crews collision when most of the items they were supposed to repair, was not completed after 45 days. I contacted my insurance company to see if they would still get my truck repaired from an “approved” repair location as I had used XperTech against their suggestion as they were not one of Nationwide approved locations. Because most of the approved work had not been completed, I was able to get my truck repaired through additional supplements. They care about nothing except the money. I was told by many professional that them not replacing my subframe could have had a tragic outcome. To add insult to injury, when I took them to court, the judge, evidently a friend of the family dismissed my case. It seems that I didn’t have the right to defend myself, but needed an attorney. The law is the law whether it’s being expressed by a citizen or an attorney. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!Please feel free to check with Dorchester County to see that the comment about me suing businesses for my gain is false. Think for yourself!........ As others have said, they had my car for over 45 days and has 21 supplements to my claim. That’s evidence that they don’t know what they are doing. Pleaserr see through the “smoke filled” response!!!! CHECKOUT THE REVIEW FROM A WEEK AGO!!!! So similar to Mr. Kimball!

My Betsy hadnt had any major work done in THREE years ( aside from random too far apart oil changes) if thats any indication of how I keep up with shiz...dont judge me!!!The BEASTS that work there fixed everything, including the kitchen sink! Im talking gas tank canister spewing gas, my U-joints wobbling like a bad dance move, rear diff slipping all over, window refusing to do its job, brakes screaming like an old-school school bus, oil leaking like Valdez.Yall it was bad.But now my Betsy is back up & running better than ever!!!! First time customer with these folks and I have to say you could not ask for a better experience when dealing with an auto repair shop. I had to have electrical wiring installed that dealt with my tow package. Told John, who worked the front counter, of my situation and he was able to work me in on short notice. I was told he would have to work me in between cars but should have it done before close and he was on point. The price was cheaper than the dealership and the customer service and work was top notch. Kudos to the staff there. If I have to have work on my car again I will be calling them first. This is the best place ever!!! I needed a new manual transmission hydraulic system(slave cylinder etc...) and sadly once they got working on it realized I needed a new transmission. Being that I could not afford this and did not know what to do (I had just started back in college and was not working at the time), the owners ate the cost of the transmission (which was as much as the whole repair if not more) and told me not to worry about it and good luck in school. They did not have to do this and they were amazing to do it!!! Ever since then they have been the best people for me and anyone I know to get there car repaired at.Note: This was awhile ago and even though I tell everyone about them I realized this review was definitely worth posting!!!

I was so tired of waiting forever to get my car repaired, so I thought I would try the new guys. I am glad I did! These guys treated me like I was family! They did a great job on my car! Tech didnt install oil filter correctly. Oil is all over my motor including soaked around my o2 sensors. Noticed leak before my husband left. Provided my own oil filter and oil and had to settle of a mix of brands when they were done. Husband was originally accused of not buying the correct filter when the leak was noticed. Instead of them checking to make sure from the gate. Which it was correct the tech didnt install it correctly. Dropped car off night before was told should get to it in the morning. Husband called around 2 and they said they were getting ready to bring it in they would call at 3. Never got a call. My husband walked there at 3:30 and they never took it back until 4. The tech that did our oil change the first time we went there was great this time was a nightmare. Maybe you should check your quality before pulling it out of the shop. Sloppy half ass job lazy tech will never take my car here again. BTW my car takes 4.3 quarts of oil I bought a 5 quart jug. Before the leak was noticed they said they used it all so not only did they not put a filter on correctly they over filled it. Excellence in quality.... Yeah ok

THIS IS A RIP-OFF BIGTIME. THEY CHARGE YOU FOR PARTS THEY DONT BUY. They charged me $253 to replace a window motor. they said they bought the part from a dealership. A week later, the window didnt work. They could not produce a receipt where they bought the part. THEY DID NOT REPLACE THE MOTOR. I asked for my money back and they said they have a year guarantee. I wouldnt let these frauds, crooks, liars and cheats fix anything on my vehicle, even if they bought the part. They refuse to give me my money back. Somebody needs to shut these cheaters down.

The WORST AUTOSHOP experience of my LIFE!!! I was charged to have stuff replaced on my car that had just been replaced. I was also charged for axles and transmission that was NEVER DONE! Im a female and Im having to go to lowes and purchase the propper nuts and bolts out of my own pocket to properly reassemble my dashboard and door pannels!

Taking my vehicle to Xperttech was the WORST mistake of my life!! There work is terrible and the double charged me for everything they did to my car. Everyone that works there is a Methamphetimene adict including the owner jamie. My car was there for a rediculous amount of time and all they did was lie to me and make up excuses why the little bit of work it needed was not yet done. upon the completion of the work (which was done very poorly) the tried to convonce me my car needed additional work done. I took it to a different mechanic who told me that there was nothing additional that needed to be done to my car. They lied, cheated me, and stole my hard earned money and im writing this review to hopefully stop this from doing this to everyone else!

I cannot recommend this place enough!I know nothing about cars myself, but I was trying to buy a car in the area on New Years Eve, and I was looking for a mechanic shop to give the car a lookover. I called and they said they were busy but could definitely work me in! I was especially grateful because it was late in the afternoon on a major holiday and all the other auto places I called were overbooked and closing early. Then I was told theyd do it for FREE! At any regular shop this kind of thing would cost between $50.00-$100.00.When I arrived the service was immediate, and extremely FRIENDLY. Its rare that you find an auto place where they will treat you like a real person and respect you like this. The atmosphere was quiet and very clean well taken care of. I saw the mechanical certifications on the wall showing that the mechanics here were highly trained auto technicians, not just run-of-the-mill techs trained in one single service.They immediately brought my car back and gave it an EXTREMELY thorough examination. The entire thing didnt take longer than 30 minutes and they checked positively everything, and promptly gave me quotes and detailed explanations for each of the repairs that could possibly be made on the car. I left knowing with full confidence that the car was a great investment and it absolutely has been.IN SUMMATION: If you have been taking your car to Meneike or Tire Kingdom or any other mega-chains in the area, you should absolutely STOP RIGHT NOW! Because chances are they are ripping you off in all kinds of ways... Bring your car in to XperTECH and you wont be disappointed.PS: I know rave reviews like this often look suspiciously like they were written by the owner to drum up business and such, but this is not the case. This is my honest review.

Put a new transmission in my car a few year ago, has run fine ever since. Hard to trust someone to do that. Unfortunately this place is not what it used to be. I brought an alternator, belt, tensioner pulley to have installed. To do so you have to drain the radiator and evac the AC. I also gave them 1awg wire to do the big 3 upgrade. I picked the car up and go home. Find out they only did one of the big 3 wires and didnt put the $80 of wire back in my car. Being careless. Also didnt return the lug key. Had to go back. They didnt screw down the engine cover, put the caps back on the AC line. Also left grease hand prints all over it.Naturally I got nervous and drove to Nissan a few days later. Car broke down. Overheated. Nissan said the coolant was bad, not new like you guys said it was. Who puts old coolant back in a radiator. 5 miles after I pick it up from you it overheats, explains why. You broke the plug for the alternator too. Im now a total if $3100 in the hole and all I needed was an alternator. Worst service Ive ever experienced. Its really unfortunate cause for years I bragged about this place. Not anymore.One month later Update: only put 100 miles on it since it overheated due to xpertech putting old coolant back in it and I have a blown head gasket. Head is warped. Now I need a new engine. $6000. You all make your own decision here but only 150 miles since they touched the coolant all this happened. Cant help to think if I never took it to xpertech this wouldnt have happened. Now Im $9500 in all started with just a bad alternator.

I am incredibly impressed with the amount amount of communication they provided and how quickly they were able to diagnose the issues and fix them . they contacted me as soon as they found the prothem, explained what the problem was and fixed the problem within hours!! I will gladly be returning to them for any and all my vehicle needs.

The time on the door said open 7:30am to 6:00pm. I arrive at 7:28am and they still wasnt open or here until 7:40am. So i still left my car and by 5:58pm their still fixing on my car. The lady who work the desk was mad i question her about them being slow. Ive been here before and there very slow but this time i feel was bad. I had to pay to refix something they some what fix two weeks ago. An the lady mad at me because i called they out about not fixing it the first time right. I get that it takes time to make sure everything is right and working but i wont be back. The others are nice, smile on their face and always asking can they do anything to help while you wait thats why i came back.

After having my car for almost 4 months to putting a engine in my car I was told the bad smell was my brakes I got that fixed still have the bad smell finally I take it to another shop I was told they cant tell if my engine is leaking oil because there is so much oil everywhere and I had the oil changed at xpertech a week ago car still runs bad theres a bad smell and after have them replace the engine it has bin one thing after another they dont keep there word I was told I would get a discount because they had my car so very long when I went to pick up my car and pay I was told look they made know money do they wouldnt be give me the discount that I was told I was getting for over a monthUpdate I was told I need a new turbo but when I went to a new shop my turbo was fine how much money would I have put out before I found out they didnt know what they were talking about

They took 4 days just to find out what was wrong when the only thing wrong was a broken gas gauge and 2 sensors that needed replacing. They then said it would be done later that week and they call me the next day and say that it wont be done till Friday, then they call Friday night and tell me that they cant get gas to stay in it. Im disappointed.
