By far the best music store in middle tennessee. It is very old school and hosts both lessons as well as a luthier workshop for repairs. The inventory is new with the addition of various second hand and vintage gear and instruments. I cannot recommend this store highly enough.

This place is a gem. My favorite part: Top-notch teachers that are affordable by most anyone.Good selection of Takamine guitars, reasonably priced entry level and used guitars, a wall of fiddles, etc. Excellent repairs at a fair price.Drive a bit. I know students that travel 100 miles for lessons.Full disclosure: my family has been both store customers and students of several teachers here for over 9 years. We may sometimes buy a unique instrument elsewhere but this is where we learn.

Great folks, my son loves taking drum lessons there. He likes it so much that he wants to go even when he is sick. Im very glad that hes found something he really likes and wants to stick with.I credit that much more to the people rather than the activity itself.

Three star rating mostly because of the friendliness of the staff. However, there is little to no air conditioning in the building but my main grievance is the fact that I had one son take guitar lessons for a year or more, with the only rock music instructor available. He never gave my son any music and when asked if we should buy in order for him to learn more on his own he said no. My son never learned an entire song all the way through yet when I took him to a separate teacher who taught music theory, how to read, gave him sheet music to take home.... in two lessons he was in love and never wanted to go back to Springfield Guitar Co. Now my younger son takes fiddle lessons. All lessons transpire in a seated position, none standing, with the door closed, no parental involvement and was asked to teach him how to hold his instrument. I have never played its why I pay for lessons. Lastly, they have a call out policy... if you cannot make a lesson then you are required to still pay for it if you do not call within 24 hours prior to the scheduled time. Our lessons are on Mondays and they are closed on Sundays. I dont ever get a free pass. :-(
