This past week my 89 year old dad’s car kept shredding serpentine belts. Max was able to get the car in that day. Max kept in contact with me on what was wrong and what he suggested we do along with cost. This car is 19 years old but Zima Automotive was able to repair and return the car the next day. I was pleased with the work and the fair price.Also the shop appearance is neat and clean. The staff was friendly and their appearance was professional.Overall my first experience was a good one. My dad was happy, I was happy!

I took my Toyota Tundra here because my brakes were seized up after trying the job at home. It’s always frustrating when things don’t work out on a DIY, but Zima took great care of me. Zima was fast at getting me in as my truck was my only vehicle. They sent a full diagnostic on the truck and didn’t try to sell me on silly things like we see at the dealership. (I’m talking about those pesky cabin filters we always hear need replaced). They took pictures and sent a report right to my phone that was very easy to understand and once the job was done, continued to follow up with me. The job was affordable and came with a 3 year warranty!! I will be going back to Zima every time I need any vehicle worked on!

I had my 96 Jeep grand Cherokee with a straight 6 with issues towed to this repair shop on a Friday night I then called Monday and said they Probably wont get to it. I called again Tuesday an they said they plan on doing some diagnostics testing. They then said I had a faulty fuel injector which I knew already so I gave them a go ahead they then said they would call me back NEVER did. So I called again Tuesday got no updates, Called Wednesday got no updates, Called Thursday no updates. Called Friday an said we did more testing an the timing chain needs replaced. That fixing the timing chain wasnt guaranteed to fix the problem. So I said no because I just spent $400 on some little testing an for you to replace 1 fuel injector an now itll cost another $900 to replace the timing chain absolutely NOT. after everything was said an done they proceeded to offer me some money to buy my vehicle which was very FISHY I gave them my offer apparently what I was asking for was way too high their offer was so low he refused to tell me. The people here are quite nice but I wouldnt recommend them only because 1.Their communication SUCKS! 2. The vibe I got from them didnt sit well with me they insisted the timing chain was the problem Unlikely but possible. Its quite hard to find a trusted mechanic I know. If it turns out to actually be the timing chain Ill have no issue publicly apologizing!

Took my minivan to Zima Automotive because the automatic sliding passenger door wasn’t working. The technicians diagnosed the problem and worked relentlessly until it was fixed, even when the part supply company shipped them the wrong part.They were professional and kept me in the loop during the delays, and gave me a loaner vehicle while they found a solution. While the repair was fairly priced, it was more than I had expected to pay. The owner was understanding and worked out a solution that was gracious and generous.The van door is now fixed. (So is the power steering fluid pump that they found needed repaired after their initial thorough inspection of the vehicle.) I will be taking all my vehicles there now for any maintenance or repairs - and you should, too!

Well first they refused to change the part I wanted done with out charging me to pay for another diagnostic test after I already paid for one. Then so they tell me its something totally different but now they can repair it for weeks, so they tow it to another shop and of course I have to pay for a extra tow. Turns out their diagnostic test was wrong so paid for nothing over 200$ total to be told the wrong thing and they didnt fix anything or even found the right problem

I never knew this place existed. I was recommended to go to a dealer from another mechanic. I found them randomly called and Max was able to ensure me they could solve the problem. No one wants to take their car to a dealer if you are sain. They were able to find the problem with detail. They explained slot to me that I needed to be aware of. Everything from start to finish was so easy. I was able to pay easily and the work was quality and very well priced. I know most people are skeptical about taking their cars to new places but if you want great work with a dedication to Customer service ZIMA IS THE PLACE TO GO. When I had issues with pick up, they were more than happy to bring my car to me at my place of business when they were done! Zima has always been my go-to place for my car! Not too bad on prices either. I figured my car would take 2-3 days to be fixed, but they fixed it within 6 hours! Plus, dont get me started on the absolutely adorable welcoming committee (the Mastiff)! 😍

We have used other shops in the past and havent had the best experiences-- usually a very long wait, no communication so were calling and leaving messages to see how long well be without a vehicle, cost, etc. Zima was the exact opposite. Grant was awesome! They were able to get us in right away, called several times with updates, emailed me an estimate with photos of the damaged areas, and even though we had a large amount of work to be done they were finished within 2.5 days. I couldnt ask for better customer service-- everything was top notch, we will definitely be back!

I wanted to wait a bit before posting a thorough review of my experience. So far I have taken two vehicles to Zima. A new flex fuel truck and a diesel VW. In the truck I had a major component replaced. The guys at Zima began by thoroughly explaining my options and helping me understand what went wrong and how they plan to fix it. The level of communication I received from them has been the best I have ever experienced from this industry. They are EXTREMELY knowledgeable, efficient, and honest. They did not attempt to up-sell me at any point, their diagnostics were timely and efficient. I have put nearly 300 miles on my truck since they fixed it and have had no issues.Regarding my diesel VW, they went above and beyond again. They found the issue and checked on the warranty on my behalf, and found a dealership that would correct the issue and replace the malfunctioning sensor under warranty. They showcased integrity at every point Ive interacted with them.I have finally found a vehicle service center that I can trust, which I honestly didnt think I would. As a career military service member, finding dependable people to help my family while Im gone is a huge relief. I am a customer for life and I highly recommend that you give them a chance.

By far the best automotive repair shop! They just won 2018 Best of Springfield (Ohio) for AutomotiveRepair. They are extremely knowledgeable, they will even come & pick up your car, treat you fair and at a reasonable price. They also do motor homes.

This was the first time I have used Zima. I took my truck in for a coolant leak and no heat. Turns out there was multiple issues that needed immediate attention. I received a full report of my vehicle’s condition the good and bad. It included pictures so I knew these were real issues. They gave me a loaner car as a courtesy and came to my work to pickup/drop off the vehicles. The turnaround time was good. I was informed about financing options if I needed it since there were some surprise issues. Every time I spoke with them they were extremely friendly and informative.This was the best customer service experience I have ever had. I will be using them again and I highly recommend Zima!

When my check engine light came on, I needed help. The port for connecting to a diagnostic machine wouldn’t work, so there was no easy way to find out what the problem was. I called Zima and they fit me in right away. Once they knew what the issue was, they called me immediately and explained everything to me. Once I gave them the go ahead, my car was ready in just a couple of hours. I was in and out in less than a day. Everyone was extremely friendly and very helpful. I won’t hesitate to recommend Zima to anyone needing auto repairs.

The whole vehicle inspection they do is a great feature, and you can pick and choose what repairs to have completed. I use them for every oil change for both my cars, convenient pick up and drop off at my work.

I have a 2011 Chevy impala the engine was knocking so I search the internet to find someone who could change the engine when I came across zima automotive their website was very informative and showed alot of knowledge of automobiles after talking to them on the phone they towed my car to their shop and the very next day they had a diagnostic report for me after going over everything we decided on a plan and before I knew it they had replaced my engine and two outer tie rods my car was back to running like new I appreciate all their hard work and I would most definitely refer them to everyone I know honest,knowledgeable and friendly with fair prices what more could you ask for

Having only lived in Springfield a year or two, It was quite the journey to discover Zima Automotive. I would need typical maintenance with my 12 year old BMW and everywhere else I went in town didnt quite seem to know how to work on older, German vehicles. It became quite frustrating and every time something would come up, I would absolutely dread the calls and runarounds with some of the rundown-chain shops in the area.I complained to another car-geek-friend of mine one day and he looked at me with a duh sense and said, Call Max at Zima. Hes the guy. That place is all youll need.So I did and it was probably the best move I ever made in regards to taking care of my car. Zima is top-tier if youre in Springfield. They were able to replace a 12 year old engine gasket at an affordable price; they took care of a few door dings and dents I got along the way; they made valuable recommendations moving forward; etc. So the best thing, for me, is that I know that whatever happens with my car, I know Zima can take care of it in the most professional way possible.All without pressure. I am very much satisfied with the brake jobs they did to my car. They are prompt and i really feel like they were really honest and that I could trust them with my car. I liked that they took pictures of the things they checked and noted if it needs to be fixed soon or it’s still good. They didnt pushed me to do more to my car other than what i came in there for. I have all good things to say about Zima Automotive. Their pick up and drop off service is very convenient and they do what they say they are going to do. They do a thorough inspection of your car and send you a list of issues that they find. It can be a little disconcerting at first depending on what they find, but Max and his guys do a good job of letting you know what is urgent and what can be put off until later.If I had to use one word to define my experience with Zima it would be integrity. They replaced the AC pump on my truck. There were some issues with the part. Max had every opportunity to say the issues were a separate problem and I would not have thought any different and paid to fix a new problem. He took responsibility for the issue and went over and above to make things right.I will absolutely own that I can be a pain in the butt customer when it comes to details. Max hasnt given me a reason to be. Great work Z-team!

Max and his team are the BEST! They picked my car up from my office, changed the oil, tire rotation, fully detailed inside and out and then delivered it back to me all while I was inside working. Friendly staff and the worlds cutest Most lovable dog. Its hard to find an honest machanic but this shop is full of them.

This place is hands down one of the best automotive repair shops in the area. They are extremely helpful, the computer program they use to show repairs needed and pricing is very easy to use and it allows you to schedule repairs based on severity and price. I wont be taking my car anywhere else.

Car repairs STINK and the cost of them STINK more...BUT at Zima all the guys (and gal) were amazing! Fast, friendly and thorough! They were so kind to give me a honey-do list for our cars and help us take care of issues with our cars that we didnt see coming with their thorough inspection. There is a great peace in being proactive to save $$ in the long run! BEST PART of our day there was the awful but comical singing ability of our mechanic. I think my husband and myself havent laughed that hard in a long time! We MAY or MAY NOT HAVE sang along. Bwahahaa! It is like a dinner theatre (minus the dinner) up there in that customer loft. Last experience I had at a different car shop was terrible and left me unsure to go anywhere, but when I called them the day before asking if they could fix my serpentine belt, they got me in the next morning and fixed it in no time. My son’s car lost power on his way back to Cedarville University. As a parent an hour and a half away from him I was very grateful to find Zima Automotive. They were the only auto shop in that area that had their own web site. After looking over their customer reviews and also the testimony of the owner I knew they were the right company to care for my son’s car. I have spent my entire adult life driving BMW. It is now who I am. One thing I am not is wealthy. The first question I ask anyone I see driving an older has to be out of warranty BMW is Who works on your car. That is because I already know anyone can buy a used BMW, but that does not mean anyone can drive a BMW. Without a good trustworthy mechanic shop, your wife will have you sleeping on the couch until you get rid of it. Max and his team can work on your car. They know what they are doing. They will also do what is needed at a reasonable price. They have awesome customer service, and you can trust them. I always get a second opinion before I spent anything significant on a BMW repair. Zima seems to always be less expensive and their work is top notch.

I needed new tires and they were able to order them the same day I called and get me in the next day! I had to bring my kids in with short notice but it was the highlight of their day getting to watch the cars get worked on and play with the dog, Lexus. Fast, friendly service and followed up with me to make sure everything was working as it should. We will be back!

Good diagnosis, good work. The only issue I had was I had dropped off the vehicle to be inspected at 9:00am. I informed the owner and associate I had to have the car back by 12:00-12:15pm to be at work by 1:00. That time came and went and I was forced to call into work and use personal time for the day because I didnt have a ride. I called to see the progress, if any, with my car and they hadnt got to it yet. They admitted it was their mistake and offered me a rental. (That was a decent offer) It was already too late though, I had already submitted the request for the personal time. So that was a $300 mistake this business cost me in income. I was quoted $1800 in needed repairs but couldnt afford it all at once so they allowed me to pay for the most urgent part of the repair. I had intentions of bringing it back for the other repairs the next few paychecks, but the loss of a days income from their mistake makes it hard to pay for repairs sometimes.Other than that, I am satisfied with how the process worked, start to finish, with text and email updates. Will probably do business again with a bit more emphasis from my end about the importance of time.

I had reached the end of my rope with my car--it was absolutely disgusting after years of carting my kids around. I went in search of a car detailing place, and landed on Zima. When I arrived I found the sweetest beast of a dog. I was happy to wait in the customer waiting area with the mastiff mascot...but after a minute or two, I was told the wait would be a lot longer, so the boss sent me home with his Lexus on loan! I picked up my sons from school in style that day, and when I came back for Cherry (my twelve year old Honda Fit), she was good as new. Im back again for car repair, as delighted by the dog as ever and the customer service here. Its always brutal to spend money on car repairs...but vital, and if Im taking my hard earned money somewhere, I want to support a business I can believe in and trust with my beloved car. I dropped my car off at 4:30pm on Wednesday. I needed play in the steering wheel removed, an awful clanking noise in the steering column fixed, and a new oil pan put on. The following day before noon I had an estimate for the work to be done and by the end of the day the car was ready for pick up. The price was less than expected and the time to complete was exceptional. I expected to not have my car for many days. Now, there is no more play in the steering wheel and no clanking noise when driving over bumps! I enjoyed the experience so much that when I went to pick up my car I left another car that needed work. It is a pleasure doing business with Zima Automotive.

Max had previously done some work on my car and did an amazing job. Due to a very busy weekend, I needed an oil change and was unable to go where I usually go. Then I remember that Max could do the oil change. I sent him a text and he responded back in a reasonable amount of time. So on my lunch, I dropped my car off, and he had someone take me home. About an hour later, my car was returned to me. This was awesome! He is my new mechanic!!!!! His work is great and the Customer Service is top notch. He came highly recommended to me, so I in turn highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of a mechanic. Oh, did I mention hes fair with prices.

I was able to drop off my Van and they gave me a ride home! Then when I realized I forget my sons car seat in the Van and needed it to pick him up, they actually brought me the car seat! Saving me from running out there in a borrowed car! So far I have to give them a huge Thumbs up!! I feel like they may be my forever mechanics! The service was above my expectations!

Max and his crew at Zima Automotive are an outstanding group of auto mechanics. I have had both a car and a pickup repaired by Zima and I was totally satisfied. I took my pickup there based on a recommendation: I took my car there because of how they did with my pickup. Their garage is clean and they leave the vehicle clean as well. Their work is correct and timely. Everything is clearly explained and printed out for the customer. Along with their excellent mechanic work, Zima Automotive has fantastic customer service. They listen carefully to what the customer is saying and they keep the customer informed throughout the repair process. I highly recommend Zima Automotive. Oh yeah, the music is great too.

Great digital read out on car issues and able to pick which can be done now and also in future.i wasnt able to be home while car was done and they delivered.

Awesome people for sure!!!! One gentleman always comes into my office letting us know of deals going on and he is very kind. Its hard to find a trustworthy and honest auto mechanic but my car drives better than it ever has thanks to these guys. We had a slight miscommunication problem but there work is superb and they will work diligently to resolve any issue. I would give you 10 stars if could.

These guys are great! I drive a 2007 X3 and theyre the only local repair shop I trust it with. I told them that my goal is 300,000 miles and instead of laughing, they said they could help me get there with regular maintenance. My wife and I have found our trusted repair shop. Just took my car to get an oil change and I am so thankful for the service I received. The whole staff was so very kind. They were helpful in directing me and giving me information about my car.
