Kens is great. All his guys are helpful and polite. And quick. I came in for an oil change with my drain plug stripped and they were able to get it off and change the oil in 40 minutes. Kens prices are fair and best shop in town.

We all know that sometimes vehicles make noises that are hard to pinpoint and diagnose correctly. That was my Tundra. I had taken it to two other shops before bringing it here. Turns out that the mechanisms that were holding together my brakes were totally shot. They found and fixed the issue and now no more noise! plus safer to drive Im sure! I would highly recommend them as great honest mechanics that get the job done right the first time!

I have been going to Ken Owens for probably 20 years now. I tried many before him, none as good. Over the years I know I can trust them. If they say I need it, I do. Good work, stands behind it. There have been times I was expecting I needed expensive work and it turned out to be something simple. One time he recommended I not repair it. I did and turned out he was right. Should have salvaged the darn vehicle.

I called last Thur morning and spoke with KenHe said to bring my vehicle by one morning 1st thing and he would lift it and tell me if my sway bars are broken, would only take a few minutes. I went in this morning (Mon) at 7:20 and when they opened at 7:30 the guy said they cannot do that and they schedule their oil changes at 7:30 do I could come back later today! What a waste of time/gas. I went off the reviews but am not used to being flat out lied to by a shop. I will never recommend to anyone. What a way to run a business lie to customers. Thanks for nothing but at least I learned to go to a reputable shop from now on.

Ken and his crew are excellent. He has no turnover rate with his employees because he pays them well and therefore teach them everything they need to know on things they are already certified for, which is not in the book, is straight-up for customers and does not cheat anyone. Ive been going to him for 25 years.

I recommend Ken Owen to anybody hes been there 45 years. You cant stay in one location that long and not do a good job. Best place in Springfield to take your car and get an honest appraisal of whats wrong with it. They wont upset you that just tell you the truth and how much it cost to fix it and then fix it right. Great service! Very great customer service and great prices! I took my car into another shop to have my a.c. fixed and they said my discharge hose needed replaced and it was going to cost over $500. So a friend of mine recommended Ken Owens, so I took it in for a 2nd opinion and come to find out the Freon needed refilled and it has been running great ever since!! And I spent $88 to fix it! Yikes! Rip-Off Alert! Beware!!My car was broken down on the side if the road and I needed to find a place to tow it. After asking for recommendations, several people mention how good this place was so I had it towed. Called and they said the car would be fixed the next morning, before work started I requested a call with a quote before going ahead. 4 days later, I had tried calling 9 times without getting through to anyone-not happy about that. Went in and received a bill of $380.00 for a 4 coolant clamps, and two coolant hoses!!!!!Said it cost them $130 in parts, and $250 in labor. They tried to take advantage of a female student who they thought they could rip-off.My normal mechanic out of town said an excessive amount would be $80.

Ive been taking my vehicles to Ken Owens since 1996. On numerous occasions, he helped me make things right when I was first learning to work on cars. I still take vehicles there as Ive gotten too busy to tackle projects myself. There are a lot of good mechanics there who are able to minimize the time spent troubleshooting because they have so much experience with different engines and vehicles, and they know the common problems with various vehicles and engine designs.

Hello!! So first of all I hate to be the first to write a bad review on this business, the reason why I even tried it, was because of the great reviews, however when I got there, no one was at the reception area to greet the customers, I had actually called ahead of time to schedule an appointment and was told someone would give me a ride as well as provide me with the cost of my repair minus the parts since I was going to be providing those yet no one even knew I was going to show up or the specifics on my appointment. Secondly, after all the waiting for someone to come out and greet me, I got somewhere with the person in front, I got my ride home and was told that I would receive a call, after they were done inspecting my car which was going to be $50 dllrs just to inspect. After several hrs of waiting for the phone call Ken asks me what was wrong with my car and when would my car overheat, I explained to him my situation and he stated that first and foremost my car needed a clutch replacement that was going to cost me $1000 dllrs, I was like 😧 Since I knew my car needed that to begin with. Then I asked him what about the overheating of my vehicle, he said its the radiator and I asked how much is that going to cost me, he said $400 dllrs again I was like 😧 Since I know that job is usually about 2 hrs top, I asked him if that was my price minus parts, he said no, he said minus parts it would be $200 dllrs and I was to provide him the radiator of course plus two jugs of antifreeze, at that point I became very hesitant because my honda only takes less than a gallon and here he is asking me for 2 again my face was 😠. I told him I would go get my car and make a decision after, I had warranty on the radiator so it was going to cost me nothing and here he is trying to charge me $200 for a radiator that retails at $120 plus 12.99 cents of antifreeze??? I was very angry at this time bc when I asked him if he provided a form of credit to his customers on large jobs like the one I needed he stated to me that he didnt do that but the bank did and that he wasnt the bank, so I guess I deserved that? Idk. I finally went to pick up my car and he immediately charge me the $50 dllrs and supposedly tells me he inspected my car throughly and that it was for sure the radiator. I was done with him already bc he looks like such a nice older gentleman yet here he was trying to take advantage of what I imagine he thought was a stupid woman that knew nothing about cars. Finally the greatest blow to my face was when I realized he never even opened my car to inspect it bc in order for my cars hood to be opened he had to have called me and asked how to, theres a trick to it it doesnt open from the inside... so as much as I hate leaving a bad review on a business with so many great reviews I feel its my obligation to let ppl know that maybe he was great to u all but to me he wasnt no more than a person that wanted to take advantage of a woman that had not enough money to pay for his outrageous fees. Please be careful when going to this establishment specially if u are a lady...
