Do not rent UHauls from this location. The service was terrible.Pick up took over 30 minutes this morning because their check in app didn’t work and there was apparently no other way to check in. The truck was around the building and not ready, though we had a reservation. Though the pick up was bumpy at best, returning the truck was even worse.First the woman made us take the blankets and dolly out of the back ourselves. No big deal. Then the woman made us go get gas even though we drove less than 25 miles in the truck. Apparently it need 1/16 of a tank more of gas. Then we get back from the gas station and the woman gets in the truck to inspect the back. Instead of taking a broom with her, she gets out and insists that there are blanket fuzzies and we HAVE TO sweep them out. We had already swept the truck prior to returning it. Also of note, there was a piece of metal hardware and dirt in the truck when we got it; I don’t understand making us resweep a truck that was clearly not as thoroughly cleaned when we got it.I have never seen someone be so nit picky over a truck that was returned with less miles than expected and sooner than expected. Next time we will just return the truck after closing to not deal with staff, and we will never use this location again.

Well Im very pleased with the storage because theyre open 24 hours and I have access 24 hours a day and the unit is inside its not facing outside so it has several great things that I like about it and I feel its safe and I feel its a good value I appreciate Compass self-storage.

The location is great and the staff are friendly, Ive rented a storage for about 3 years with them since my apartment is small. My issue here is that when I initially rented my unit, I was paying $58/month. Since then Ive seen my monthly cost raised several times, Im now paying $102/month for the same unit. The place is gated, but there have been many times when the gates are left open, and times where Ive accessed my unit but had a hard time because the lights wouldnt turn on. I think the place is also supposed to be climate controlled, but a couple times it hasnt felt like it.

Melinda is so awesome she helped me during a tough time and was so accommodating. If your in the area and need a friendly affordable uhaul. You won’t be disappointed.

Convenient, clean, large space, can store insured medium vehicle, late access hours and no pests. Online payments and experienced employees.

The ladies in the office are very friendly and knowledgeable. Not only did they try to save me money on my move but they were also professional in helping me. I love the 24 hour access and how well the property is maintained. They have U-Hauls on site to rent as well as packing supplies. The office is open 7 days a week and the ladies in the office work very well together.

It was a pleasant experience. Showed up without a reservation, got a truck did what I had to do and returned the truck. Everything was great.

Fast service

Ive had a 5x10 unit there for two years. During the summers, the units are a bit on the warm side. So much for climate controlled. There have been many times when I drive up, and either the entrance, exit, sometimes both, gates are open. So much for secure.Also, when I first rented my unit, it was 24/7 access, not anymore. But what really takes the cake is that the rates have been increased on me 4 times. I used to pay $58/ month, today I received a letter with the fourth increase theyve done. Effective the end of November theyll be charging me $93/ month for a unit the size of a walk-in closet. I do NOT recommend this company.

Ms. Melinda took excellent care of me, showed me the facilities and answered all of my questions. Excellent customer service. Just signed a contract so will update after a few months. Very happy so far.

Units are clean, offer 24/7 access, and the staff Ive dealt with (Melinda and Maria) have always been knowledgeable about the items they sell in the office and the units themselves. Heck they remember my unit number better than I do when I walk in the office.Would highly recommend the location to anyone looking for a storage unit in the Smyrna area.

If you dont mind the insurance coverage, offered to you through Compass, NOT covering a lot of MOLD on your items in an expensive climate controlled storage room, and NO reimbursement kind for any of your antique furniture or any other item (clothes, books, etc), then youll love it here. Yes, I know Ill probably be given the cold shoulder by the employees working there now, as I cant move anywhere else (flat broke - no one to help me move), its alright, been there, done that. This place is awesome! Just this week, I was there unloading my car and one of the ladies came walking through and propped the door open for me. What a kind gesture and a huge help! I was unloading by myself and this saved me time from putting my code in everytime I needed to open the door.

I picked up a Uhaul from here, and it was easy and pretty affordable. The woman at the front is very helpful (kind of a no nonsense type of person, but happy to help if you’re polite.) I’d recommend using this place if you need to grab a Uhaul.

They rip you off. They charge you to pay your bill. I didnt want their insurance. I showed them proof of home owners 3 times they finally acknowledged I had home owners insurance, then my rates magically went up by the same amount as their insurance they wanted me to have through them. If my wife dies before I do they can have whats in there.

Reserved a moving van but still I had to wait 45 mn for the staff (two ladies) to show up after a customer volunteered to look for them on the property because they turned their phones off and nobody could reach them. After dropping off the van after store hours, the next day I received an extra 25$ fee for cleaning (van was used to move boxes of clothes and suitcases). Worst experience with u-haul so far.

This place sucks, the woman who works there is very unpro. She leaves the office without a notice of when she will be back, the next time i came back there was a sign on the door that stated will not be back for 45mins. they need someone that really wants to work there.

I wish I could give them ZERO stars because they were very unprofessional. I reserved a truck in person with the lady who worked there, told her I needed a dolly to move a washer/dryer and she advised me that the dolly would be on the truck. When I picked up the truck the next day after they were closed, the dolly was not on the truck like she promised and the hold time for customer service was greater then 20mins, so I took the truck, moved what I could move and took the truck back. When they opened the next day, I called and told them how they forgot the dolly, the girl stated she knew she forgot to put it on there, so she took off the $10 fee for it. when I advised how I was inconvenienced because I couldnt move everything bc they messed up, I was told that I would have to pay for another day for the rental. WHY when it was your fault. I will never rent from them again bc this is ridiculous. the right thing to do was to allow me to use a truck and dolly for a couple of hours to finish moving for free but no theyre telling me that I have to pay again for their mistake. STAY AWAY. VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!

Horrible experience renting a UHaul; was charged more than double the quote due to their own error which they admitted when I came to drop it off. Their response, We cant help you so just handle it with your credit card company.Careless employees and deceitful practices. I would suggest looking elsewhere for your storage and rental needs.

Poor customer service and no accountability between locations. During a U-Haul rental the agent at another location changed my drop-off location from this facility to another. When I arrived at the drop-off they told me I could either a) pay DOUBLE the amount of the quote to return it or b) turn around and drive an additional hour to another drop-off location. Dishonest and disheartening. Even the customers waiting behind me in line were commenting on the poor policies and customer service.

Convenient, but not the most knowledgable staff. I rented a Uhaul to move to New York at the end of November, and while there, I asked if they had locks to lock the trucks rear door. The woman there sold me one of the locks they have there--only one kind--and when I got home and had finished loading the truck, I realized the lock didnt fit...it was clearly made for securing the doors of the storage units there, not the rented Uhauls. So I returned it, but there was some issue with the computer (convenient), and I got a print out showing a refund. Fine.Well, after the chaos of the move two weeks later, I realized when I looked at my bank statement I didnt get my return. I called and spoke to the manager, who informed me they dont DO credit card refunds, they only issue checks...and she couldnt tell me if they had issued a check or not, or where it had been sent, yada yada yada.Now, early in January, Ive still not seen a check and I know I wont get one. Im out 13 bucks for an overpriced lock that they kept. Not the most professional service.
